The chicken is cooked fresh for you, a bit like Raising Canes in the US. The restaurant is nicely presented with their branding but tiny, with very little seating. We arrived just after midday & got a table but later & it gets busy & a struggle to get a table. The seasoning on the Chicken is ok but lacking something. Not as flavoursome as KFC & subsequently you need a sauce. Problem is they charge for Sauces & they aren't that great. We ordered a bucket of chicken fillets with 12 in which comes with a small fries portion for £20, which isn't cheap. Plus drinks on top. A meal for 1 is about £10. The chicken itself was in the main, tender & juicy, but unlike KFC or some other chicken outlets it really needed a sauce. They do about 6 flavours of sauce. We tried, blue cheese, chipuffalo, awesome sauce, & red pepper aioli. None were anything to write home about & we had to buy 1 extra as they provide 3 with the bucket but the portions are pretty small. They don't provide free ketchup or mayo like most other chicken restaurants, which is a bit of a fail. You have to buy theirs & it's £1 for a tiny pot. A great money spinner I'm sure. We were lucky enough to previously live in a city with Raising Canes, who really know how to do the chicken finger meal. The benchmark in my opinion. You get a great special sauce, refillable drinks & great chips with Raising Canes & these guys are sadly not near their standard. I'd go to KFC instead in this country, the chicken seasoning is better.

Underwhelming experience, which was a real shame. We are a family of four and keen to try the burgers and wings. Hungry family and the bill for four came to around £70. The service was poor, no real help, food plopped up on the counter. Asked for ketchup for the kids meal (two small chicken strips and a small handful of fries and a fruit shoot), but was told there wasn't any. Had a BBQ burger, which consistent of two small bits of chicken in a bun with chips and a can of coke. In fairness, tasted OK, pensentaion was fair. Asked for extra napkins (you need them!) and the guy was reluctant to provide them. Possibly the worst bit was the loos, the smell of damp, blue lights (like the ones used to prevent drug users from injecting), plus both were unisex toilets - was all rather disgusting. We hurriedly ate, left and agreed we should have gone somewhere else. I'm guessing the place is better served by those ordering a delivery and eating it at home.... Finally, the receipt says "leave a 5 star review and you'll be entered into a weekly draw to win a £20 dine in voucher from Thunderbird", which could account for the high Google rating...

My bf and I were pleasantly shocked by how good it is here. Our bucket of 12 chicken strips came so fast, piping hot, super tender/juicy, and deliciously seasoned. The only thing I would ask for is for Thunderbird to more prominently display that the bucket *includes fries*!! (like show it in the picture, mention it in the name -- we didn't know and ordered sides separately and ended up over-ordering, which is wasteful). The sauces: I surprisingly did not enjoy them (e.g. buffalo sauce is so classic and perfect, why/what is chipuffalo?) but they were also wholly unnecessary bc the chicken strips were so fantastic on their own -- they came in these really well-made re-sealable plastic tubs, too. The classic churros are excellent. The ordering system is not all that organized (the self-order kiosk allowed us to order oreo churros which the workers later told us were out), and the food doesn't all come together but batch by batch.. but it's a work in progress that I can deal with for amazing fried chicken. The prices are not cheap but when is good fried chicken cheap anyway ‍♀️

My first visit I felt very welcome. The server name is Ibrahim. He served me was the only staff that I interacted with during my visit. I found him to be warm, friendly and paid me focused attention whilst serving. He smiled at me, and didn’t rush me with my order. He also gave me a polite and friendly answer to my question. The server was friendly and enthusiastic, explaining that the student discount applied to all products. He helped me to choice the burger according to my taste. I tried the dynamite burger & fries for the first time. Every bite of the burger is worth remembering. The burger was very tasty hot and fresh. The chips were perfect. I have a real weakness for fried chicken so it was only natural for me to visit here. Came in just after 8pm and managed to get a table to sit in and eat. The place has a very energetic vibe which is nice, and could not be in a better location. Service was quick and a pager was provided so people aren't milling around the counter for their food. I got a standard burger and the salted caramel wings and a coke. Considering there were no sides that came with the burger the meal was fairly pricey at just under £17. The burger itself was well balanced and had a nice crunch to it, no soggy chicken here! Very simple chicken burger done well. The salted caramel wings were a risk, but one that paid off. The caramel flavour works well with the sesame seeds and chicken. I will be back at some point to try the other flavours available as they looked really good too.

Chicken cooked just right. Chipuffalo wings are definitely the stars of the show. Great flavour and goes really well with the wings. Definitely order extra sauces, the one they give you with the wings is not enough to dunk each wing. The chicken strips were good but definitely not anything different. My recommendation would be to make them juicy in the inside. I was really looking forward to the sandwich, it was good and a generous portion and filling but i didn't love the house sauce that is used. I was really disappointed with the Cajun fries, i thought the Cajun spice would add a nice kick but it didn't really do anything to change the flavour. The chips could use a revamp to make them tastier, maybe triple frying them. Overall, i would definitely return and focus on the wings!!!

Decided to Thunderbird having heard good things about it online. Unfortunately it was a horrendous experience with a long wait for food 30+minutes. Filthy location, I decided to eat in on this occasion and the place was filthy, mind you it has around 1pm so it wasn't open that long. And the staff where so incredibly rude and made me feel so unwelcome. Firstly I had ordered a meal to eat in and when I ask for the drink I ordered made a big deal about it. I made another order for takeaway and I received it without a bag, sauce or drink. When I asked what looked like the manager he seemed incredibly upset that I had interrupted his phone call. I left swiftly and will not be coming back

A complete waste of time and money. I popped in because it was almost empty (a bad sign I know) at around 3pm on a Tuesday. I got 3 chicken strips and some churros. It took so long to come out I was wondering what was going on as there was only one other person waiting for food. The chicken is bland, and the churros were somehow blander. The “awesome sauce” is only awesome if your definition of awesome is mildly yellow watered down ranch sauce. The seasoning was bland, the chicken dry, and the breading not even crispy. The music was so loud inside i put on my noise canceling headphones. Won’t be coming by again, plenty of better spots to go for lunch

I have been to Camden and Baker Street thunderbird restaurants before but the Villiers Street restaurant is a disappointment and I’d avoid it. The guy at the till mixed the order and made both burgers thunderbun instead of one thunderbun and another meltdown burger. Moreover he insisted when I asked if they’re different. The toilets are downstairs but locked and you have to come back upstairs to ask the code which is absurd and only one toilet works with weird lighting. The place is cramped with not much space. Overall not a pleasant place in any way if you want to dine in.

Thunderbird Fried Chicken! Perfect place for people who likes fried chicken in different fried styles. Fast, efficient and clean place. Perfect if you in a rush- you can grab something to eat with chicken. Quiet pricy place which is understandable by busy location. Staff really friendly and well trained. Efficient in their job. But they need to work on some things and improve themselves. For example for local people Westminster residents make some discount or kinda loyalty cards. I do like these place: but unfortunately they mostly oriented for tourists. So I would be grateful if you could have some deals for locals too. 1st timer to Thunderbird Fried Chicken and was greeted with a friendly smile. Rahi was very helpful on the menu choices and had a very positive and happy attitude. You don't find that at food places anymore. I will come back on that alone. Going to a place to grab a bite and feel like your in good hands is always a plus!!! C U next time Rahi!! Way to go. Also. I ended up and decided to get 10 wings of each 4 flavors to try them all out! Raises made them sound so yummmy!!!

Two things struck me about this place. First, the staff are amazing. The lady running the counter was super efficient and calm despite the busyness of the lunch hour. Another gentleman who I encountered while he was mopping the area outside the toilets was super polite and helpful. Next, the food was amazing! I highly recommend the chipuffalo wings, which must be dipped into the blue cheese sauce to be enjoyed fully! I also had churros which were good. Loved my lunch at this branch of Thunderbird!

I'm all about chicken and after being to this place I need to know why isn't there one in Birmingham... The wings were on point. So my daughter tried the naked wings, my son had the wings and strips combo, my wife had the vegetarian burger (Chipufallo) and I had the Habanero Signature Wings. Nobody and I mean nobody was disappointed. The food was brilliant, the taste was full and couldn't get enough. The signature wings were awesome. I like hot wings and as each wing got my palette the fire increased, however not to the point where I wasn't enjoying each bite wing after wing. I'll will always go here when I'm back in Central London

I asked the person serving me how long it will take and he didn’t listen to me as I had a train to catch he insisted I just order and the place was barely filled I then asked after 8 mins of waiting if my food was ready as I had only ordered 3 strips and he ignored me and just stood there doing nothing I got my order after so long that I completely missed my train. I just don’t understand how he couldn’t tell me how long three strips would take to mate because I would never have ordered if he had told me it would take that long.

Awesome fabulous staff we're polite ,courteous and spot on with cooking time when asked how long it would take 4 to 5 minutes was the answer to my question and my cheese and bacon chicken burger was handed to me in 4 to 5 minutes. It’s slow, small portions, overly greasy and expensive. Seating is limited and has mostly people waiting for food. Bins overflowing. Surfaces dirty, amenities like Napkins and straws empty. What is positive was the staff are friendly. The diner has a lot of potential but their capacity to serve based on serving portions doesn’t make it worth while. 9 pounds for only a handful of chips and a few pieces of small chicken isn’t ideal. If the service was better and area clean the it would improve the experience. The toilets are also absolutely disgusting with no hand soap, broken hair dryer and filth all over the floor.

My partner and I recently tried this place, we weren’t massively hungry so shared a 7-piece chicken-strips meal and upgraded the fries, which is definitely worth doing. The fries were really good, very tasty indeed, the chicken strips were nice but not exceptional, I think the batter/coating could have more depth. Be warned though especially if you’re buying these for kids they came out VERY hot . Overall I think it cost about £14 which isn’t bad really.

I really loved the food here although my partner did not enjoy it as much as he felt the chicken was not very tender. I thought the place was different to other chicken burger places. I ordered the chipfallo chicken wings (6) and it came with a blue cheese sauce. Customer service is below average. The Chicken Wings were well cooked but the sauce tasted absolutely awful. And please don't get me started on the blue cheese sauce taste. Regular chips on its own costs £3:45yikes!! As much as i like chicken wings, i could not finish my portion and it went in the bin. I will definitely not be recommending this joint not will i be a return customer

My experience in thunderbird was a fairly pleasant one overall. Order was placed nice and quickly and there was not a long waiting time till we received the food. Me and my girlfriend decided to share a portion of churros. The staff did not put very much sauce on the churros and we did have to ask for more which was a little annoying but overall was pleased with the experience. Bathroom are nice and clean but require a code which you get from the staff to get in.

From the outside, looks like a ordinary chicken shop. Once you've stepped inside, you can feel the cozy trendy atmosphere. Staff was friendly and helpful as it was first time going, so many sauces to choose from! We went for the hot stuff with some BBQ. The chicken it self, was so fresh and had so much meat on it, full of flavour and definitely been seasoned well. Getting to taste three different flavours was awesome and definitely recommend it! I'll be back.

The best wings in London without a doubt, since I first had wing here haven’t had any other in the area as none have come even close to these. Sauce 10/10 breading 10/10 Chicken 10/10 Chips used to be a bit poor but my they seemed to have changed them and now great too. Have order in on many occasions and never dropped in quality, even when the rider come a little late was still amazing. High recommended.

Overpriced (I spent £14.95 for 12 wings) but when they are freshly cooked really tasty. I have visited twice and the first time the wings were great, shop was busy and wings were fresh! The second time the shop wasn’t busy at all and I could tell the wings served had been set aside for a while so wasn’t great at all. I wouldn’t recommend the Garlic Butter wings unless you enjoy drenched butter oil but when FRESH the BBQ wings are tasty!

Food was as good as the pictures look on the the display. Service was quick, efficient and they didn’t hold back on the portion of chips or the sauce on my buffalo wings. The chill music in the background is a nice touch also. Rahl was a good host.

If I wanted to pay this much for about a third of a meal, I'd go to a proper restaurant and order a starter. Honestly that's better quality and value for money than this generic junk food

Terrible customer service… I waited over 10mins to be served in due to the staff not knowing how to process my gift card. I would not recommend & the food was absolutely bang average. You are better off going to KFC. Shoutout to O on the link up.

In between charring cross and embankment stations. Venue seats 20 ppl only. Ordered salted caramel and buffalo wing. They only gave me the flats. Not sure if they serve the drumettes. Buffalo sauce was too sour. Salted caramel was pretty gross. Chicken itself was ok. Coating was super crunchy to a point that it roughs up your gums. 3/5 stars.

We were served by Rahi who took great care of us. The food was very tasty and the place is neat. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing nearby.

Nice little place after a night out, service was good. Wings didn’t taste like much at all which was disappointing. Especially for the very high price. Milkshake was fine but not great. Bad meal all in all.

The wings had absolutely no flavour at all. The thunderbun was lacking in texture and taste also with overpowering pickles dominating the whole taste profile. The Cajun fries were also really plain.

The staff are very nice. The food looks promising, but the batter is over cooked and tastes burnt. Either too high a temperature, cooked too long, or something. It ruins the taste of the food. If I do eat here again I’ll have to ask to see if they can perhaps do something about this, or if it’s meant to taste kind of bitter.

Best fried chicken ever. Great service by the staffs specially by Sunny. The best service I have ever gotten.

Customer service was ok. However, not sure why these wings have won awards though, tasteless chicken (not marinated, they only add sauce on top so the chicken is not actually tasty), soggy, chipotle is way too spicy (meant to be flavorsome, not extra hot).

Nice food but burgers are fairly small. The wings are also tasty. Obviously the convenient location means it's a little pricy too. What I would say to the owners is give out sauces for free, easiest way to make food more flavourful.

New kid on the block, felt it had a take on KFC but not as spicy or salty, although one could easily add them on if needed. I went for a combination of fried chicken with chips and spicy sauce. Decent portion sizes. Good customer service. Credit cards accepted including Amex. Worth a try.

One of the best bits of wings I’ve ever had. The CHIPUFFALO was absolutely fantastic! Coated in delicious buffalo sauce, running to the bottom of the bowl to dip my Felicia Cajun fries in after. Fantastic stuff.

Disappointing. Chicken was salty and mostly tasteless otherwise. Tenders were tiny. Awesome sauce was anything but awesome. Paid £1 for aioli too which is a ridiculous price for the amount of sauce you get, and that was also watery and not good. More

Really tasty wings and fried chicken. You can also order a secret menu item called Dominator wings, much more spicy. I thought wings were pretty good value for the flavours you got and the amount. Overall was really good.
