I just had the most appalling shopping experience at Tiffany's, and I would have given zero stars if I could! I walked in, and was approached by an Asian girl who asked what I was looking for. I inquired about Patek Philippe watches, and getting information was like pulling teeth. Furthermore, her snide comments and demeaning remarks throughout were uncalled for. TLDR: The PP specialist wasn't in, sure, so I asked about his hours and got his business card to contact him. I then asked if they had any PP I can look at. The SA said you have to be a customer. I then asked what that meant: do I have to open an account, or have bought something. She said yes, you have to have bought something before (?!). So I guess you can't even ask to see something because I haven't bought anything previously? There was a kind SA who overheard our conversation and said yes they have 2 PP watches, and suggested that my SA can bring us to the display case. My SA had an annoyed look on her face and said she couldn't show us in person, but she could show us online (?!). Now I guess she was annoyed because she had to do more work, and proceeded to call us to a counter away from the other SAs. She showed me on the phone what those watches they had in stock. I asked about the price of the rose gold one. She didn't know, and this is where things got really interesting. She said if I knew what I was asking for. I said yes, I know PP watches. She said do you know how many people come in asking for it? I said yes, I am aware. She said we have customers who have priority for those watches. I said, OK, that's to be expected. She said you can't just come in and buy a PP. I was like OK, fine, so what is the pre-spend (I buy bags at Hermès, I know the game). She could not tell me what the pre-spend was, and proceeded to shut it down by saying that they have many customers who spend millions of dollars there. OUCH. Not sure why she felt the need to say that, that's no way to treat any customer, and she should definitely not be in customer service. Sorry Tiffany's, you've lost a customer; I'll take my business elsewhere, life's too short to deal with crass and unnecessarily judgmental SAs. Unless someone enjoys a rude and sadistic experience, I suspect your other customers will be turned away as well.
If you are not buying diamonds, then you are not a person or my experience at the main boutique in San Francisco. It was a special day for me, on the eve of my birthday. When we entered the flagship store in Union Square. There were several employees, each of whom was going about his own business and no one even said hello to us. As it turned out later, only diamond items were located on the first floor, while gold and silver were on the second. Having made the honorable circle and without waiting for attention from the sellers, I turned to them myself: “It’s my Birthday and I would love to buy some earrings. Can you help me? " After asking a few questions, the consultant sent us to the second floor. Please note there were no other clients on the ground floor except us. Got to the second floor, I saw several consultants who were still going about their business and also did not greet us. After looking around, I went to the consultant personally and asked for help, she was free, but still asked me to wait... Can you imagine my condition? After digging for another couple of minutes in the tablet, the consultant (lady 35-45 years old, Asian) called me closer and asked us to tell us again what I wanted. I asked to show me the studs available up to a certain amount. I was ready for at least a minimal service, but it was all in vain. The consultant did not show me a single option without my direction and looked lazy or tired. We left with the purchase, but I couldn't even imagine the worst experience from the main boutique of the brand. P.S. my colleague worked in this boutique and I hurried to share my experience with her when I came to work the next day. She threw up her hands and said that no one from the previous lineup was left and the priority for the boutique is not service, but the presence of Asian languages ...
On 04/19/2023, order115395611 , I placed an order with the store and requested UPS delivery. However, I neglected to select the option for a required signature upon delivery. To my dismay, UPS has now lost the package, and the situation has been exacerbated by my limited access to strong cell phone signals. Despite these challenges, I have made multiple attempts to contact the store manager, Robert, seeking assistance in resolving this issue. However, I regret to inform you that he has refused to respond to my attempts to reach out via text message or email. This lack of communication from the store manager is highly disheartening and unexpected, especially from a renowned brand like Tiffany & Co. I am now left in a distressing situation where my package is lost, and the store manager, who should be responsible for addressing customer concerns, has chosen not to provide any assistance or support. As a loyal customer of Tiffany & Co, I find this level of service completely unacceptable. I kindly request that you intervene in this matter promptly and rectify the situation. I demand a full refund for my order, as the loss of the package was beyond my control, and the store's lack of cooperation has added to my frustration. Additionally, I urge you to address the issue of the unresponsive store manager, as his behavior reflects poorly on the brand and tarnishes the exceptional customer service Tiffany & Co is known for. I believe in the reputation of Tiffany & Co and the quality of its products, which is why I chose to shop with your brand. However, the experience I have had with the San Francisco store has left me thoroughly disappointed and questioning my loyalty.
I was so excited to visit Tiffany&Co store in San Francisco and get an unique experience, feel myself special on my birthday. I bought my favorite perfume and a pair of sunglasses. I wasn’t sure if I want to buy the sunglasses and asked a honest opinion from the lady who was helping me. She was not friendly. I explained that my budget is tight. She said quietly “well, if you want to buy it, you better buy it now because it will be more expensive tomorrow, we’re increasing all our prices” I asked specifically “Even for the sunglasses?” She said “Yes, for everything”, I asked how much it will costs tomorrow and she said “I cannot tell right now but it will cost much more for sure”. I bought the sunglasses with that weird feeling I had after words. I checked the prices on the next day - no changes, I check a week later and even few weeks after - no changes, same price. I came to the store to return it even through I liked it so much just because I had a bad feeling that I was deceived. I cannot believe the company with so big name and reputation is selling their products like that, cheating their clients and treating them like that. Yes, I’m not a billionaire, but still deserve a respect and honesty. I will never return to this store again.
I am writing to express my utmost dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had with your San Francisco store. I placed an order with Tiffany & Co., and unfortunately, the entire process has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. First and foremost, I am deeply disappointed with the mishandling of the shipment. The package was delivered by UPS without requiring a signature upon delivery. Considering the high value of the contents, I expected Tiffany & Co. to prioritize the safety and security of their customers' purchases. It is deeply concerning that such an esteemed establishment would neglect to enforce a signature requirement, leaving my package vulnerable to theft or mishandling. To compound my disappointment, I regretfully inform you that UPS lost the package during transit. When I reached out to your San Francisco store to report the issue and request a replacement, I was met with a shocking refusal. The refusal to acknowledge any responsibility or offer a viable solution was both surprising and highly unprofessional. As a customer, I expected better treatment and support from a reputable company like Tiffany & Co.
Lovely large flagship store. The workers were all nice and attentive. The manager (unfortunately I forgot her name, but she hails from canada) was so nice and informative. No one in the store rushes you. It's relaxed. If you're hungry or thirsty, they will nourish you. 10/2/21: I had a nice time looking at their rearranged store. My sales gal, Rebecca, was so friendly & professional. She showed me what would be a matching Jean Schlumberger bracelet, but I'd require it to be longer, so she's finding out what the increased cost would be & if they can do it. I saw one of the managers, Heather Hall, today. She's awesome! May, 2023: I bought a Louis Vuitton LV (owner of Tiffany & Co.) 90 diamond 18K gold pendant necklace. I stack it with my Tiffany & Co. 10 diamond 18K gold & platinum cross ✝️ pendant necklace. I never stacked in the past, but now these 2 necklaces are stacked for good.
Terrible experience was told to wait in line even though I got there before others in the room. When it was my "turn" they did not have the item I wanted in stock. Even though a hour before coming to the store I called to make sure they had the item and they said they had plenty of the item in stock. Since I was tight on time I settled on a different item to give as the gift. At checkout I was told the engraving would take a week or two because their machine was out of commission. The real icing on the cake was after all of that I went to another engraver the following day and I went to pull the item out of the bag and it wasn't there. They forgot to put the item in the bag so I had to go there the following day to pick it up. Such a waste of time and a terrible customer experience. Will never come back.
My spouse bought a chain for me for my birthday. They sent the wrong length...the length they sent was actually more expensive but it's too long. We want the length that was purchased but because it was a gift that I opened several months after purchase they wouldn't fix the problem. They said they have a 30 day return policy. But this isn't a return. It's me wanting them to exchange what they gave me for what was ordered. It's crazy. It is our first time getting something from Tiffany. I was so excited to get the item and my spouse was so excited to give it to me but now this has really soured all of that. If they won't resolve this which they are basically refusing to do then they just lost two costumers for life who probably would have bought 2 expensive rings from them next year.
Being a Tiffany client for years but did most of my purchases in Europe. Customer service here in San Francisco is just horrible. They don’t care and they don’t even try. Ordered perfume and paid extra $20 for next day delivery. They don’t deliver on weekends ok, but when i asked for refund they simply refused. Then i asked to cancel my order which wasn’t even shipped. But here I heard no as an answer as well. When made a comment to Jessica in customer service (I think this was her name) that you’re careless and the most horrible customer service she laughed at me and asked if it’s my first purchase. Super disappointed. Will return my perfume anyway. Was dealing with a lot of customer service issues but this is the first time employee so much don’t care their customers
Had the pleasure of being assisted by Sallie Ling who was super nice, very helpful, and extremely friendly. Top notch service! I dropped by the store because the online order did not get delivered the way we had hoped so we dropped by the store and we were greeted by Ms. Ling who was able to resolve all of our issues immediately and was able to help us even further and beyond. All of my future purchases will be thru Ms. Ling from now on. Also, I asked that my name be put down for some items that were out of stock and the manager called me literally not even an hour after I left the store. We had a delightful conversation and the manager was so very helpful as well. I'll always be returning back to this specific store for all of my Tiffany & Co needs! Thank you!
Wherever I travel that has a Tiffany’s store, I like to get myself a gift from there for my collection. I only get a silver item and just a couple of hundred dollars. Every store I have been into treat me like I am buying the biggest diamond they have for sale. No matter how much I spend. In the San Francisco store I was made to feel cheap. The assistant was unhelpful and was obviously not happy at my low priced purchase and kept showing me items out of my price range. No chatting like in other stores. Very unfriendly. The irony that a sales assistant should make a Tiffany’s customer feel so under valued. A real shame as all other stores are absolutely fabulous no matter how much is being spent
I remember when Nordstrom was the gold standard of customer service, but anyone who walks into a Tiffany's will say this the best customer service experience, advice, and recommendations will come from Tiffany’s . The employees dress better than formal bankers, Which IMHO, they don't need to, and they WILL make you feel like a million bucks, even if you're unable to spend that anywhere near that amount. Try to Visit. even if you're unable to afford the product as of yet financially) and stay for the brilliant experience, come back for the goal of experiencing both and buy again This is a company that capitalism should be proud of and let’s be honest there’s not many we can say that about.
When my wife and I went to the tiffany store at union square to buy a ring, the sales lady who “helped” us was very unprofessional. My wife loves jewelry and was very excited to get a piece of beauty from Tiffany. The lady who was helping us said: “oh, your fingers are so big, we don’t have 8.5 size of this model”. She repeated the size of finger several times. This was very uncomfortable to hear. Then we asked if the company can do the same ring but in 7.5 size. She left and came back with negative answer. My wife and I were very disappointed of the service of such a big company. We think highly of Tiffany but we were very underwhelmed by the sales person. Did not expect that coming.
You can get lost in this store (there are two stories). I have never seen so much silver and gold and diamonds in one place in my life. Good selection. I was not offered any assistance, so I left. I most likely will never shop at this Tiffany & Co. again and stick to the one in Walnut Creek. I give this place three stars more so for the selection as opposed to the customer service, which I would give two stars at the most. Tiffany's Westfield Mall has the same customer service issues, but that store is significantly smaller (I'm not seeing a place to write a review on Google+, so I will give that store two stars here.)
I’d give this experience a 0 if I could—my girlfriend left in tears. Hands down the most disappointing experience we had shopping for engagement rings. When we arrived for our appointment, the sales associate didn’t even offer a congratulations—just opened cases. He didn’t tell us anything about the cuts or diamonds, and when they didn’t have any additional carat weights or styles in stock, told us we could order off his app. I had better customer service shopping for a sofa and am greeted with more kindness checking in for a tee time. Did not get a “Tiffany experience” shopping on what should have been a special day.
I was worried about shopping during COVID. I needn't have been. The employees were wearing masks, sanitized everything I touched before they gave it to me and kept their distance from us and each other. Now the painfully honest part. I am a teacher on a limited budget. I was there to use a generous gift card that my boyfriend got me. I was worried about how I might be treated as I was dressed comfortably on the tail end of a weekend getaway. The employees could not have been nicer. No Pretty Woman moment here. I would certainly come again (if I can afford it).
I went in looking for a pair of the cat eye Tiffany sunglasses. There was an Asian lady who was just so awkward and almost demeaning. She had no idea of the product she was selling. I also felt like it was really hard to communicate with her. She was definitely not helpful and kept making me feel unwelcome. I wish I had a better experience. I had to give her the model number of the glasses I was looking for and she was just dumbfounded and lost in her own store. I don’t understand how she got hired. Tiffany @ union square SF— get it together!
The customer service is awful. I came here to have my engagement ring polished but I waited with NO help and NO attention and then there was NO apologies. It was the very worst experience of customer service ever. This store definitely defames Tiffany's reputation. The experience made me regret buying Tiffany's diamond ring paying extra amount of money. I am not sure if I want to purchase any more Tiffany's in the future regarding the customer service. I want to give "-5" not 1 but unfortunately the lowest rate I could give is 1.
I just had first Tiffany Co. experience here in SF and it was absolutely lovely. Ellen was extraordinarily accommodating and allowed me to change my appointment time at the last second. She was very patient, informative and super funny throughout the entire process. She helped me with what I came in for, but also was nice enough to spend time explaining and allowing me to try on my dream piece, the bone cuff. Ellen and Tiffany Co. SF has won a lifetime customer. Keep on churning out wonderful experiences!
Went in to browse for an anniversary gift with my husband. The first floor team was very static, showing only what I asked for without anything more or less. When I asked for simple gold jewelry, he shuffled us upstairs. There we were met by I think Sabrina and she was wonderful. Asked where we were from, celebrated our anniversary with us in a way, and was very respectful of our lower budget. She did not make me feel less for looking at pieces without diamonds. Really enjoyed our experience with her.
This Tiffany’s is amazing. I originally brought in a bracelet that I wore at my wedding to be cleaned and was given the wrong bracelet when I picked it up (but didn’t notice until I got home). While I was originally pretty upset, I was treated so kindly and the team did everything they could to track down my bracelet. Upon finding it, they overnighted it to me with a very sweet gift. I am so impressed and really appreciate all that they did for me! Thank you so much Tiffany’s!!!
I live in Amsterdam and wanted to gift my daughter who lives in San Francisco, a special gift and experience for her 30th birthday. I called Tiffany &Co at Post in San Francisco. I can't remember his name I think it was Nathan, he was so helpful and assisted me in making sure my daughter would have her special gift and experience at their store even though I was not there to gift to her in person. Thank you Nathan and Tiffany & Co for adding to my daughter's special day!
Our Tiffany & Co shopping experience was incredible. Our host Jackie was great! She made us feel special, was attentive and fun. There was no pressure but we understand the quality of Tiffany’s so we definitely went to buy. Jackie showed us many selections… when we returned to pick up our purchases we were treated to champagne and Tiffany’s Chocolates. Outstanding experience, they truly gave us a Tiffany’s renowned experience!
Nako provided the best customer service. I would recommend everyone to see Nako if you want to shop around without feeling pressured to purchase. She will make the shopping experience very easy and enjoyable. If I were able to rate higher, I would. I have purchased twice from her and I will definitely be a returning customer for the years to come.
Tiffany blue and shiny displays, who can resist! I typically go in when my boyfriend buys my jewlery, so it's a happy place for me. They're also good to go to clean your jewelry on a regular basis. It used to be free but now it's $15. Still worth it, because they clean and polish it until it looks new (more so than when it was free).
If you want Tiffany - for you or for a gift - then this is the place to get it. Beautiful store with professional staff who were more than willing to spend the time we needed to view their inventory. We did not end up buying anything, but no complaints about the store, service, or inventory.
I was told it’s the second largest Tiffany store in US. Really beautiful, clean and comfortable place. There are a lot of watches collection as well like Patek Philippe. Most of sales people are friendly, professional and patient. We had a good experience asking about engagement rings here.
Alex - the manager was cheeky and churlish and this was NOT my fiance’s usual experience at Tiffany’s. I’m not going to go into details as that would not be productive but I am prompted to let others know if you want to be treated this way, this location might deliver that.
When the time is right to fill yourself with excellence Tiffany & Co will always get me in the store. Shop at this place to get your soul to connect with your body. You can visit them anytime to get your jewelry cleaned and polished. The staff is ready to serve you♥️
Tiffany & Co. Is a known brand for elite jewellery and offers a wide range of modern day jewellery options. Located on the Post St. San Francisco, it is the neighbourhood's flagship retail store and remains open during the regular business hours.
Sept 2014 - The staff is always friendly and helpful. Great for picking up gifts for anniversaries and special occasions. While I love the accessories from Tiffany, I don't appreciate having to pay $40 for my bracelet to be polish every 6 months.
I was in a hurry to purchase a necklace, and called ahead to ask that they put it at the register. They said they would not do it, so I decided to go without a gift rather than deal with the person so joyfully refusing such a simple request.
Since April I've purchased 3 items at Tiffany's but after my experience at their SF Union Square store on Sat. when I went in to buy another item the customer service was so bad I don't want to buy anything from Tiffany's ever again.
I had my engagement ring from Tiffany's and so took my sister to find her ring (on her boyfriend's request). The rep was rude and clearly unhappy that we didn't get our money out that day.... It was a really disappointing experience
It was all about the experience. No one really helped me. But seeing patek and Tiffany in one place was just special experience for my personal journal. Hopefully one day able to add a patek Tiffany to the collection.
Went in there thinking I might not get any attention from the employees because I was in my dirty work uniform but to my surprise the lady that helped me was very nice and courteous. I would definitely go back.
Wonderful experience all around! The service is top notch and everyone was so friendly. The new Paper Flowers collection is exquisite. I mean, this IS Tiffany’s after all! I could honestly spend all day here.
I couldn't get waited on and finally gave up and left. This was at 1:30 on a rainy Thursday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. They need to get their act together if they are going to stay in business.
Manager Robert and sales associate Melina. Both are fraud and theif. They just charge your card and never ship the product! They are THEIF!!! And FRAUD. Never ever go to them if you want to make a purchase.
Everyone was very friendly at this location. Just needed the customer service area but the experience was nice. The cleaning service was estimated at 2 hours, which is super fast compared to Australia.
When shopping for a ring today. Bought a 1837 wide concave. Love it! Service was excellent, great selection of merchandise. Social distancing and reduced occupancy there maybe a line but it moves fast.
Shopping at Tiffany is always a pleasant experience, thanks to its stellar representatives and perfect inventory. The Union Square SF location has such a soothing, comforting ambience. Thank you all.
What a fantastic experience we had at this store. Our host was Shima, who was very helpful, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, patient. I would go back again. We enjoyed the experience!
It was a nice store. I liked how they displayed everything. My only comlain was that some of the workers there looked me down and made me feel watched, as if I were to take something.
Simply put:::: JON!!!!! Amazing!!! When I go back, Jon is the only one to help me. He was amazing and very respectful and treated us like princesses . Thank you Jon. Denise and Bonnie
The store is bigger than others i have been to and of course their service it really good. The sales people were not pushy and were patient answering all my questions.
I completely recommend going to the Westfield location over this one. These people were very rude until I pulled out my wallet. The security guards where nice though.
The service, the experience, the color that defines most women's dreams. Say I'm shallow if you must, but I've never met a girl who didn't love the little blue box!
Eric our host was absolutely fabulous!! He was so patient and charming. The manager was very Delightful, even offering to take a picture of us for our girls trip!!
Great service, Vittisi was attentive, found our items. If you stop in be sure to ask for her. She made us feel welcomed and appreciated as clients of Tiffany & Co.
the customer service is great! very welcoming, customer attentive but NO pressure. they even held my purchase until the end of my shopping experiences at the mall!
Beautiful, the staff were friendly even offered me water. Classic and contemporary designs. Handbags, dishes, perfumes two floors. They really are that nice.
My fiance and I had a great experience here. The service was attentive and professional. We purchased a men's wedding band today and couldn't be happier.
My first Tiffanys experience..loved it and got my first ring I've alwsys wanted. Thank you for making my dream come true and a memorable experience..
the workers were looking at me like i was going to steal smething and i diddnt like that. i loved everything in there . i just wish it wasnt so high.
You want to know what's special about Tiffany & Co? Experience their service and you'll know. I just had rings cleaned and it was top-notch service
The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. They're courteous to the customers and spend plenty of time with each customer. Would highly recommend.
very professional service and beautiful quality. you can be assured you're getting an excellent stone and workmanship in every piece you purchase
Every Tiffany’s is phenomenal from the service to the products. Gigi is so special, make sure to ask for here when you are at this location.
Great experience here, got helped right away, extremely effcient. Got directed to a repair specialist who was also very helpful as well.
They don't have cheap stuff, they have less expensive stuff is what the security guard told me. Good stuff, makes my wife happy.
Wonderful and helpful staff that went out of their way to make sure all of our own jewelry was polished before we left.
I am sorry the store does not accept french Visa card. I think you can do something for we can buy a nice "souvenir ".
Robert is a horrible person and a thief!!! And Melina is a thief and fraud too! They both steal money from customers.
Got what we needed: poker cards. The quality is OK but I feel they could do a better job on this front.
I really appreciated the service and help that I got. Never felt pressured, was willing to work with me
Slow to assist if you don't look like the demographic, but great service once you get them to engage.
They deserve every single star. Tiffany and Co is associated with 5 star service and products.
I just had my first experience visiting this store here in San Francisco and it was amazing!
Very polite staff, clean, my wife is even happier now, so thats all that really matters! :)
Very nice as you would expect. So many staff and such helpful people. Very posh spice!
Terrible service. We've walked out multiple times after waiting in the ring section.
Lost the back of a 40 year old earring. They found me a new one. So kind. …
Since when did Tiffany pressure you like a car dealer? Unbelievable.
Service was outstanding! Selection could make anyone happy.
Horrible customer service. Robert and Milena scam people
Super friendly staff Great location Get in and find out
Always incredible jewels and incomparable service!
