So glad I decided to start buying Black! I searched Google and found them. When I walked into the establishment, I was treated kindly, like a customer. I was greeted, the staff was very courteous and helpful. They didn't harass or follow me around the store, when I had a question, they were very attentive and knowledgeable, prices are reasonable bascially the same prices you find in the other stores that wanna dehumanize you amd still take your money. Just to see people who look like me and understand my beauty supply needs, I don't mind spending my money there. Great store, great people and I will definitely be back!✊ ... I felt like that a month ago, but since I had become somewhat of a regular customer, I noticed when I came in on June 29th, the energy was off! There were few adults working that day As I was looking for specific item, no one helped,even when I asked for help. There's a chick with pink hair that works there, AVOID HER! Her energy is funky. Anyway, you try to support your own and still get shaded. Oh well, there's other black owned businesses around the city. I don't have to and will not be spending no more of my hard earned coins there. Peace and Blessings to Today Beauty supply. May they flourish, just not on my dime.✌

Okay full disclosure, if your waist or hip circumference is anything over 43 inches you will not, I repeat, WILL NOT be able to fit down the aisles of this store without knocking things off of the shelf. No shade No shame, just truth. That said it's a pretty good store. If there's something you want just ask them to order it. I would have given them 5 stars in spite of the limited space except for the review by the former employee. It was really disturbing and it matters to me how a business treats its employees. I do like the fact that they hire people from the neighborhood. Not certain that they are still Black owned. Either way the employees are pretty cool except when they're rushing up the tiny aisle to ask if they can help you and there is no way to move around them to actually get the item you came there to purchase. Good hustle, I appreciate that but in a place that small I'll let you know if I need help. Give me 4 minutes to find what I'm looking for without cornering me in a claustrophobically narrow aisle. Just saying.

This place is highly unprofessional. Sales associate said I couldn’t buy a set of perm rods because they were on hold but clearly put on display for purchase! Literally lined up on the rack to be sold. Not put behind the counter or put away...Then the lady with red faux locs proceeded to be ignorant saying she would “allow me to purchase x amount but not the rest! Highly disappointed being as I frequent this beauty shop often being one of the black owned in the area but this this highly unacceptable. And clearly since they have so many professional orderes they shouldn’t be open for public use .

Oh my God this place was so horrible. Went into the shop to get a wave kit with my son and the service was horrible the lady didn't help me show me where the product was. Then we went to the cash register the lady who was on the couch was that was on her cell phone and rained up the wrong items. My son corded and we told her that the idols wasn't mine she did not apologize for her mistakes she just corrected. I was so disgusted I left I'm never going to return to the store I have no reason to but I will tell all my friends anybody would ask about this business not to go there!

I have been going here for about two years now, and I love the place. The girls are always so friendly to me and my mom and very helpful. Being a professional in the hair business it is nothing wrong with asking a few questions and getting the right answers with some help on hair. Every time I go in there, I am greeted with respect. They know me very well, I feel like they are my family. I got to know them very well, even the owner is very nice. You can’t go wrong with this beauty supply store. Love it.

My Ex boss is rude, A liar... A male chauvinist. MOST unprofessional man I've ever met in my entire life. He Have very inappropriate relations with certain employee. Never pay employees on-time on a biweekly basis. Devalues women. Treats women with no respect. Certain employees are wonderful. So customers service is okay. Definitely wouldn't spend my money there due to bosses UNPROFESSIONALISM.

I try to patronize small businesses but it's fairly difficult to be a repeat customer when the customer service is so poor. The cashier was extremely RUDE. I can't understand how you can greet someone at the counter and they completely disregard you nor do they thank you after the transaction. The manager must invest in customer service training for his staff if he wants his business to grow.

The workers were courteous and that I think is the best thing about the restaurant, the chicken soup was too greasy we couldn't consume it, the chicken with rice and peas I bought two servings, we ate a little of the chicken and gave both containers to a homeless person,the soup we left outside on the sidewalk hoping some homeless person would take it.

This is an amazing place with an exceptionally amazing owner. He is a very honest businessman and you don’t get that these days. The store is clean and the staff is very well trained and informative… I had a pleasant experience and I look forward to visiting this store whenever I’m in Harlem…

All of the employees are extremely helpful and go beyond with customer service. Fatou, especially, is a gem. Always a pleasure and eager to help. It’s a huge store that I can guarantee will have whatever it is that you are looking for.

Price comparison as to BEAUTY supply stores is reasonably low. For the items i purchased at 146 street i would have been charged an extra $1.50 or more.. That may not seem alot but added over per item can be pretty considerable...

Ben, the manager stayed and waited after store hours for me. I called to confirm the closing time, it was already after 8:30pm and Google stated they closed at 9pm. Ben waited to honor the Google hours. I'm so thankful.

The location is small but it's stocked well. The staff is welcoming and helpful. They are my first stop to spend my money to support a neighborhood business.

They're very helpful but the shop is small. Some things I got there didn't work the way I wanted to (dye products). But it might be because I have locs.
