I just recently passed my 1 year mark as a member of this gym and cannot say enough how I appreciate this gym, the community, the coaches, the culture, and CrossFit. I had never tried CrossFit prior to visiting Together We Rise. I had held membership at other general big box gyms but had been intimidated to try CrossFit - CrossFit videos looked too intense, like the lifters were professionals. I didn't want to stand out like a (weak) sore thumb if I tried a class. But when I took the CrossFit dive at TWR, I got to visit the owner and the coaches. The coaches put me through some group and one-on-one sessions of "foundations" so they were sure my movements were technically sound before, in my enthusiasm, I added too much weight and hurt myself! When I began attending classes, the coaches and my classmates made me feel so welcome, but I did not stand out - I've learned no one is watching me workout except for myself and the class coach. During class, coaches come alongside me to encourage me or help correct my form in technical movements so that I don't hurt myself and so I can put in my best effort. I appreciate the coaches so much. In any particular class, I may or may not know my classmates by name, but I always feel an intangible camaraderie. This isn't a competition - we cheer each other on to be our best, in and out of classes. In fact, one of our mottos is something like "the loudest cheers aren't for those who finish first, but for those who finish last." I have often finished last, and this encouragement helps get me through to the end of a hard workout. Another great aspect of TWR is that each day's workout is completely unique and personally designed by the coaching staff, and everyone else who attends a class during that day is doing the exact same workout as me. Before I joined TWR, I had become bored by the same stale, repetitive workout routine I'd had since high school. This uninteresting, non-stimulating routine had caused me to be less interested in exercise. At TWR, I am always challenged and stimulated by a new workout routine, and after a year, I am still learning new movements! It's incredible. TWR also makes sure each movement is "infinitely scalable," meaning that, whatever your level of ability, you will be able to participate in the workout. For example, when I started, I was not always entirely comfortable with barbell movements, so the coaches helped me and others to do a similar movement with a dumbbell. I also couldn't do many pull-ups, so the coaches showed me how to do a similar movement without the pull-up bar. There are movements for everyone, no matter age or ability! I could say much more about this place, how I have grown and improved as a person because of it. But I'll end with this: if you're looking for a good workout, to be challenged in a non-threatening environment and to maybe make some new friends along the way, TWR may be the place for you! I have just joined TWR, I had never practiced crossfit before in my life. And so, I want to take this opportunity to encourage those people who might have any fear of taking the first step. I also had some fear and felt very intimidated before coming in, but I was very lucky to choose TWR. I realize that there's really nothing to fear, anyone can start from scratch and the coaches will take care of you. You will be welcome no matter what your experience is, or your fitness level. There is a pleasant atmosphere where everyone is supporting each other. Like me, people new to crossfit will do things in the wrong way, and that's precisely the reason why we join. And TWR is a great place for people who want to learn and grow. Not only at the fitness level, but in other aspects as well. If you're in the position where you want to finally improve this aspect of your life but feel intimidated or fearful, please give TWR it a try!

From the first moment I walked in the door, I was greeted warmly and enthusiastically & made to feel like a member of the team. Together We Rise CrossFit not only offers high quality work outs that are manageable for a parent’s schedule, but also provides a strong sense of community and camaraderie. I have been a member of Together We Rise CrossFit for almost three (3) months & I am extremely proud of what I have been able to accomplish with the guidance and support of both the coaches and its’ members. I always leave this gym feeling better than when I walked in.
My husband and I travel all over the world for work, Together We Rise is by far the best and most welcoming CF gym we have been to. We corresponded by email for us to drop-in and Monica was extremely responsive and enthusiastic to have us. Today, Monica and her head coach, Keil, greeted us at the door. What?! Blown away, we’ve been to gyms where no one speaks to you when you walk in! The programming was intense and well-rounded. It was immediately obvious that they care about their members and want you to feel the family atmosphere they strive to cultivate. Everyone cheered each other on until the last person (me) crossed the finish line! If you are looking for a gym to call home, well need I say anymore?! We’re sad we only get a few days with them!!!! TWR CrossFit is a place like no other, by far exceeded my expectations! There is no gym that I've ever been a member of like this one, everything from the well experienced coaches to the atmosphere is phenomenal. I'm currently recovering from knee surgery and the coaches have been very accommodating in assisting me with modifying exercises to meet my physical capability. In the three weeks that I've been attending TWR CrossFit, I've had much more progression in my fitness than the four weeks I had with a coach... and that's with an injury! Their schedule has many different options to basically fit anyone's schedule and the programing will push individuals to be stronger without the intimidation or fear of injury. I can't say enough about TWR CrossFit, all I know is that I found my favorite gym.
I've been a CrossFit regular here for about 9 months now and I can't say enough about the trainers, the gym, or the programming in general. I started getting into weight lifting a few years ago but always have trouble making meaningful gains. CrossFit has definitely helped me turn a corner. The coaches at TWR know how to push you in the right ways to help you meet your goals and the varied workout keep things interesting. Lots of options for different skill levels as well. Plenty of class times to fit into different schedules and lots of open gym time to get a little extra coaching or work on skills. If you want to get in, crush a workout, and get out, this is the way to do it.
TWR is an amazing gym. I was new in Indiana and was very intimidated by starting a new gym, meeting people and trying to keep up with a CrossFit workout being super out of shape, but TWR was everything I was looking for and more. The coaches are very experienced and helpful, they take their time to get to know you and help you. The community is amazing, I found a gym fam, everyone is cheering you up in every workout and willing to help. Monica, the owner, is committed to make TWR the best gym possible, whatever you need, she's there to help and support you. Couldn't be happier with TWR, it helped me get healthier and in shape and find lots of amazing people
I'm a CrossFit beginner, and started with Together We Rise about 9 months ago and immediately fell in love with both the sport and community that TWR offered! The coaches are dedicated to making a physical and mental difference in every athletes life that steps foot through the door. The programming is incredibly thought out, and pushes CrossFitters of all stages in ways we didn't know we could push to. I highly encourage you to drop in, whether you're from out of town, or looking to switch up your workout, Together We Rise will surpass any expectation or stereotype about CrossFit that you've ever had.
This TRULY has become my happy place. I started several months ago after a 5 year hiatus from all sports, gyms, fitness etc. I struggle a lot to stay motivated and consistent and hoped the group dynamic would help me stick it out, but what I found here has surpassed all expectations. The programming is SO well done. Classes are challenging, but fun and achievable whether you’re experienced or not. Everyone is so kind and quick to hype you up and help you out when needed. I’ve seen so much growth this year, and I owe a lot of it to this gym crew.
In less than a year this gym has changed my life from a fitness perspective. I have made great friends along the way and am forever grateful to all of the trainers and members who continue to positively motivate me to be the best version of myself. The workouts are meticulously designed to allow for continued progression of movements. I never thought CrossFit would be for me, and I could not have been more wrong. Come try it out and you will not be disappointed, only a little sweaty!
This gym has it all, you won’t be disappointed. The staff here takes a personal interest in your success and so do the other gym members. It truly is a family here. The head coach makes the workouts challenging but not unobtainable and makes them tailored to success if you have restrictions or injuries. I especially like how there is ample amount of time to not only stretch but do a warm up and then a dynamic warmup as well, every time. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Beautiful gym, amazing coaching and programming, and one of the best communities of people that you can surround yourself with. Everyone picks each other up, willing to help you in any way they can, and is just a group of people having fun and doing some fitness together. I’ve been a part of the TWR family for about 3 months now and I couldn’t love it more. The class structure is perfect for me to get in and have a focused 1 hour workout before I start my day. The workouts can be scaled for even beginners coming in to learn and there is tons of room to growth. The coaches and other members are awesome and encourage you in setting and achieving goals!

This place rocks. I don’t live in Indianapolis, but if I did this would be my gym. I was raised in Indy, so I drop in every time I’m in town. They do a phenomenal job structuring new and fresh workouts that are easily scaled for all abilities! Go hang out with cool people while simultaneously tossing around some weights!
