I placed an order on Grubhub for food from this place. The lady got to my home and called me. I went to the door and she refused to come to my door to give me the food. She tossed the bag of food at me. I called Grubhub and was informed the delivery person was a restaurant employee. Don't be a delivery driver if you fear making deliveries. The food was not good. I ordered two Gyros with two fries and two drinks. The fries are nothing special. Not bad but nothing special. The drinks are cans of coke. I've never been a fan of putting cold cans of Coke in the same bag with hot food. I saved the worst for last, the gyros. These Gyros are not good. They aren't the worst I've had but they aren't far from being the worst. The a good Tzatziki sauce has cucumber and the cucumber flavor, this sauce has neither. It tastes and smells kind of like mayonnaise. The Gyro meat is not a better quality meat. I don't know who their supplier is but this has to be the cheaper option for gyro meat. I found transparent bits in the meat. I don't know if those bits are filler material, cartilage, or what. I do know a better gyros meat does not have those bits. I doubt I'd ever try this place again. I know that for sure I'll never order from here again for a delivery. I only ordered from here because Central Gyros is closed for repairs. Central is a far superior gyro.

I have been eating food from Tommy's since they opened. And for the most part, their food has been very good. I've only recently begun to have a little bit of a problem with them regarding their prices. But I understand that as a result of the pandemic that we all went through, all businesses have raised the prices of most products that they sell. (Even though I feel that $13 for a gyro meal is excessive, but I digress) Yesterday might be the last time that Tommy's ever gets a cent of my money. Not only was the gyro meal still the same ridiculous price, but they also decided to start using this really cheap tzatziki sauce!! I have only once had a sauce that was basically like water with cucumber bits. Needless to say, that other establishment hasn't gotten any of my money anymore. But to be craving a gyro as much as I was last night and to be so disappointed was really disheartening. Considering the amount of money that is required to purchase a gyro meal, I think I should at least get the proper meal. I really hope that this is not a trend that is spreading throughout Chicago. Because I now have to find another restaurant to get my gyro fix from now

I have no complaints on the food here. The reason for the one star rating is purely the service. I called here today and spoke to someone to see if they deliver to my address. I gave my full address and was told that they do. I said I'd call back shortly with my order. About a half an hour later I called back with my order and was told by another girl that they don't deliver to my address. I told her that I just called and was told they would to which she still stated their driver's wouldn't come this far. I only live 15 minutes away (in terrible traffic btw) and the Mexican restaurant directly across the street from them delivers to me all the time even at 1am. Anyway the lady on the phone then tells me to order delivery through Uber eats or GrubHub to get someone to come to my neighborhood. I take this as one of 2 things. A) This is neighborhood profiling as I live in a not so great area or B) this is a way for them to get more money as the food apps usually charge about $3-$5 more per item when you order. Either way this definitely left a horrible taste in my mouth for my experience and I will not be recommending this place to anyone.

Second time getting food from this restaurant and I got to say it’s pretty tasty. But the bummer part of it was the surprisingly high increase in the prices They need to update their menu picture that shows the awesome low prices for their items. (If they have control over that) They’re located right on the corner of Grand and Austin. There’s a big parking lot. And an outdoor patio to enjoy your food at. They also have indoor dining but with the rona still wondering about, I think we’ll stick to the outside options, for now We got pizza puffs, their 12pc chicken dinner (pretty small portions for $18, if you asked me ) and their “Tommy Loaded Fries” which were BOMB! ♥️ And lastly, their polish hot dog with everything, which sadly was SUPER soggy but that came with the choice of taking it home to eat and not eating it right there and then Not Tommy’s fault. My Uber eats driver delivered me the wrong order I called ahead before going into Tommy's to ask if I can get the right order and if I had to pay again since my order was wrong the girl on the phone told me no since it was not my fault I brought in the receipt & food of the order that was given to me the owner who was extremely rude and should not even have a business open didn't understand that I was given the wrong order I even showed him the receipt I had from the order I placed here and he did not wanna give me my food and told me it wasn't his problem he began to swear at me so we just left I called Uber they refunded me thankfully but a person like this should not be running a bus I was without good customer service.

Food is good. The service not so good. When it comes to customer service, I like the cashier/ employee to be nice and not look like she hates her job. I used to be a cashier and I liked making the customer feel welcomed and comfortable. Barely any eye contact. It's like I'm talking to a wall. 2nd time going there and the food is the only thing bringing me back.

i always go here for polish the best, however I was there on Thursday and ordered a Gyro dinner, the cashier was not friendly at all, she had this DBF, she seem like she was not in the mood for customers, i ask for hot sauce and she said they did not have any, i turned around and there was cholula on the tables, what a b, the gyro meat was so dried up, it took me 2 days to eat this awful sandwich very disappointed and the cashier did not help.I hope that next time there is a different cashier, all the other girls are pleasant but not this one , i am speaking to her and she does not even replies, I said hellooo are you listening to me i felt ignored. i will never orderi the gyro again worst gyro i ever ate..

I live five minutes away from Tommy’s and have been living here for around 3 years and I finally decided to try it out today. It’s raining and cold and we weren’t feeling the usual Chinese food we get on days like this so I decided to give this a chance. Two burger combos took an hour and 15 mins to get to us. Again we only live five minutes away from Tommy’s, not only did it take a ridiculous amount of time but they arrived to us so cold. They weren’t even warm! Honestly disappointed. The food was also mediocre, nothing special. And they included our cold drinks inside the bag with our warm food. Would not recommend ordering for delivery, might give it another chance to dine in but most likely no.

They discriminate and ask you to wait outside if you're a person of color. I was asked to wait outside for my order while the young white couple got to wait inside where it was nice and warm. The girl at the counter is nice but she doesn't know anything about their menu or how their food is served whatsoever. their food is overpriced like if they're sitting in downtown Chicago or something and realistically their prices are not economically friendly nor does it match the economic balance of the neighborhood it sits in The owner George is all about money and money only. I ordered online from Tommy's, and I've got to say that I was a bit disappointed. They messed up in a few small ways. I didn't want my hotdog charred, I ordered a cookie instead of a brownie, and my hotdog was thoroughly smushed when it arrived. There was even a small fly in the plastic bag used to hold the individual orders together. It wasn't touching the food, but still unpleasant. The food itself tasted just fine, nothing special setting it apart from other hotdog places. I've ordered from them in the past and the experience was much better, so I'll probably give them another chance, just not anytime soon.

Messiest on Grand, order the gyros and the loaded fries for a good time. The chicken parm and the cheesy beef were so messy they were almost inedible. I had to use a fork and knife and tossed most of the bun. Do not get the beef dipped the bun will not survive being picked up. Garlic fries were not garlic don’t waste the extra money. They did give lots of napkins and cutlery so that’s a plus.

I come here often. Only cause my son loves the burgers, they're pretty good. Otherwise...I've had my order taken wrong numerous of times. There's only 2 cashiers that have good customer service. The others seem like they don't want to be bothered. Not even a "Welcome to Tommys can I take your order". The new cook looked at me like if I stole something from him. Unbelievable Tommy. You are gonna lose money because of the few morons that can't do their job. The prices are pretty high for the quality of food. The daytime cashier is the friendliest.

The young lady at the register appeared to be having a attitude. I said hello before ordering and thinking she had not heard me, I said hello a second time. I realized she had heard me the first time. She looks and me and tells me how can I help you. I walked away without ordering. I'm not spending my money at a place where you can't even acknowledge a customer with courtesy. My first time at this place and it'll be my last time If you can't train your employees to be courteous to the customer's you'll be losing customers.

I had ordered two hot dogs with fries and a drink. Well, the hot dog were not hot they were cold when i sat down to eat it in my car, they were a nice size, but maybe i should have told them to boil it or something cause i did not like the hot dogs. I did like the fries though. The fries were so hot that it was too hot to eat at the time, so i had to wait until it cooled off, which was fine, and the i got, i had got a lemonade drink, the drink was way better than the hotdog i got. Next I'd just order a burger.

I ordered scrambled eggs cooked hard, they came back runny. I ordered pancakes & they tasted like undercooked corn bread. I ordered bacon & it was as hard as a brick wall. The only good thing about my meal was the water & lemon. I'll NEVER return here!!! Horrible, they have flies flying around, my table was nasty when I sat down . Ate here before and it was good but today was much different. Maybe the weekend crew just wasn't on point but the food I got today was basically inedible. I live close by, so I have been here a few times. The food is always good and the staff is very friendly and courteous. I have never had a problem walking into this establishment. There is also seating at this restaurant which is pretty much always available. Refreshments have free refills, as far as fountain drinks. This place is always clean, very well lit with plenty of parking.

Great all around since open & all the cashiers are polite. Place is fairly clean & the food comes fast on top of being top tier

Kathy, the cashier, is awesome!!! Her customer service and friendly personality match this beautifully decorated restaurant perfectly. Two thumbs up!! Ordered Rib Tips they tasted like hard ass meat straight out the feezer and tried to cook fast with Micro Waves. Not a good taste at all. Fries were flame nice cooked long and with wedges. The Gyro Taco not good at all its a pizza puff type of thing. Coleslaw not good. And 4 got my pop. Had to turn back. Didn't like at all. Won't recommend at all.

This was a little place, limited seating, but the charred hotdogs were fantastic!! The poppy seed buns were soft and delicious. The accompanying fries were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Only have been there once; but if I'm in the area, or nearby, I will definitely make the trip back and try something different.

I had a peanut butter milkshake and I had her add something extra and it was bomb Food was delicious as well...I had the Jefer but with a turkey burgers.

They have a new cashier which her name is Samantha. She’s rude and disrespectful. I didn’t like the way she came to gives us our orders. She came by and throw us the food like animal. Y’all need to fired her and get a new cashier. She’s no good for their business I saw her stealing two brownies and give her one of her sisters.

Good hot dogs, real Vienna beef, hamburgers are very good. Quality ground beef, chicken wings are great, beef sandwiches are also very good. Chicago style food. They have a decent variety of foods on menu. A little tight in side the place. Service was good. Prices are moderate for the quality of food. Neighborhood seems safe.

The manager was very rude . Took the staff about ten minutes to acknowledge me . Charged me nearly $30 dollars for two gyro burgers (no fries , no drink ) & when I asked about the upcharge he just said that’s the price ! I wouldn’t recommend !

Tommy's is a good place to go when you want late night snacks or ice cream cone. That mean you have a variety of items and they have some great specials on it. When our favors is the mother-in-law which is a tamale with chili tomatoes onions and peppers on a bun. You got to try it to believe it is really good!

Rude little girl at the register. And a liar.asked to speak to the owner. She stated that they were not in, then hung up on me. So I drove to the place, wahla and they're standing there. the staff was very friendly. I for the fried fish sandwich, which comes with fries and a soda. it definitely hit the spot. there is a counter to order at, but also a few tables and booths where they bring out your food. it's very easy to spot from the road. I popped in and the food was quick.

I JUST ordered from here. Two meals. They didn't add my drink OR a side of fries. How do you forget a drink and fries?! The fries that they DID remeber to add are extremely bland. We wanted to give them a try and yeah, we'll pass them by next time, this is rediculous.

Your cashier Samantha is rude everytime i call to place my order she always got a attitude. Than i ask to talk to a manager and she says there's not a manager. Other than that the food is good and the other employees make you feel welcome.

First time there. Ordered grilled tilapia dinner. The tilapia was frozen breaded fillets cooked on a griddle. Not good! The breading was horrible. I'm sure all other items are palatable. Just not the grilled tilapia. Inside was clean.

Is hard to find a good fast food places first time I visit this place i try a double cheese burger the meat was so delicious with all that grill flavor .

Food is fine. The 1 star is for service and overall ambiance. Cashier was rude and whole time the cooks just kept looking at me as if i was dumb.

Cashier needs to calm down the attitude. Every question affects her and is very difficult to place an order. Because you feel look down from her.

Place is nice, food is good, the lady that's there from beginning is awesome. She always make you feel at home eventhough I moved from IL to IA. When I come home I have to hit that spot every time...

The hostess was very polite. I had a cheeseburger with the works. It was good for fast food. A bit pricing for fast food.

The worst service. I made a compliment to the cashier is a red head and she was completely mean. Also the cook guy looks like an inmate. Everyone is I bad attitude here. Terrible place. Food was ok.

It isn't the greatest environment or the greatest kitchen but for the price the quality of the food is above average, I stop by at least once a month to enjoy their food for an affordable price.

I would have gave them a 5 but they gave me blue cheese instead of ranch sauce for my order and they repeated my order and still gave me blue cheese ,overall the customer service was great!!!!!

The foods pretty good but the fries are mediocre depending what time you go in, I feel like they give old fries. They also ALWAYS forget somethig when i order for take out or delivery.

Second time here and I love it. This place is clean and the employees are friendly. The food is made fresh and it come out quick. They had alot of different food to choose from.

This place has amazing quality food, as well as amazing customer service. This spot is pretty close to me and I love it!! This is my go to restaurant when I’m feeling lucky.

Great food and atmosphere. The owners are really nice and attentive. Great staff in general. Late hours and delivery are a plus as well. Nick always takes great care of me.

I give it three stars because it took forever to get my food and the cashier seems like she hates her job. The fries are bland. The burger is one of the best I have tasted.

Over priced. I asked how much something is and she added a $1. More. 2.99 was 3.99 12.99 ended up 13.99. Im good. Food was good but I will not shop where they cheat people

I've been to Tommy's several times and each time the food was great and decent prices. I still have more items to try off the menu which I can't wait to taste. Stay tuned.

Love the burgers there, one time they messed up my order, but lucky me , the messed up order was better than the burger that i ordered. Ohh and i love the cheese fries.

Awesome food and awesome people. The owner was very nice and rewarded my daughter with a cone for finishing her huge burger and fries. Definitely recommend the place.

Just got two Big Baby Burgers to-go. (Literally live down the block) These Burgers are to die for! I love the bread especially! Kudos guys, be stopping by more often.

Great. The service is quick and professional. The Vienna Red Hot was bursting with flavor and I got so many fries. The only issue was the lack of salt on the fries.

It was decent. The onion rings were growing but the burger had some kind of a sauce on it and it was a lot of sauce. It reminded me sort of of anatomic Big Mac

I find it odd the way they slice the gyro meat off the spit and then grill it also why do they slice the pita into quarters lol i just wanted a sandwich

Great food! Fantastic staff! Local burger spot. Has other food to. More on the comfort end verses healthy living. Great spot for a cheat day on a diet.
