"sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name" A great local watering hole to meet up with old friends or come by and make new ones. Always a good time and the expanded patio space is like hanging out in someone's really nice backyard. Highly recommend grabbing a slice next door or catching the pop up backyard bbq style food they sometimes have in the back. They usually post on Instagram when someone is coming through, highly recommend trying yellow paper burger when they around. For a good deal, the house punch is usually about $9. Happy hour from 5-8 daily. Bring change for the pool table or at the very least some singles to break.
I really like Tony's saloon and its not because it is the closet bar to me. They have a cool laid back ambiance. My one criticism is that it can get packed on weekends. On those days I would recommend parking on the street. The parking lot is very small. When it is full you don't even have room to turn around, you have to backup all the way to the street. Tony's has some well crafted cocktails at a reasonable price. They also have PBR tall cans for $4. They do not have food but you could order pizza from Pizza Nista next door, at the bar. If you don't want pizza there is a taco guy across the street.
I went for happy hour, eagerly eyed the beer menu. Saw a Miller High Life for $5 which ain’t bad for this city. Order it and the server hands me a $5 12 oz can. I’m still trying to figure out the happy hour part of this. What ground my gears was that I couldn’t tell that it was a can and not a draft from the menu when clearly they serve a number of draft beers. Otherwise I would have ordered the $7 805. Ok rant done. Its got a chill vibe but the dive aesthetic is definitely designed. The bar is great and makes it easy to talk to others.
Tony's is my speed when it comes to the essentials: music, people, and beer. It's no frills here, and for the majority of the crowd, that's the point. Solid brews on tap, specialty cocktails that don't try to impress, pool and pong should you get antsy, and tunes that hit home across the board. You could stick around here for hours and make yourself comfortable, or just start the night off here and see where the mood should take you. But you shouldn't miss this place for a second.
Get pizza at Pizzanista next door if you're hungry. This is a great little bar. Good vibes. Great drinks. Fun peeps.

It's going to be a little work to find parking on weekends when it's busy, unless you have great parking karma, then you just park like around the corner.
Dive bar between skid row and the LA River in the Arts District. The back patio has two small wooden chessboards available for patrons. While there are only two boards, there are three sets of pieces provided; two wooden and one plastic. There was also a foosball table and dart boards. On their instagram I saw that they have several other game tables, including a chess table and a ping pong table. However these were not present on the Monday evening when I visited.
We went to Tony's Saloon as we wanted to get a drink between dinner at the excellent Guerrilla Tacos and a film and loved it. The happy hour cocktails we had (house punch) were very reasonably priced and tasty, the music was brilliant and the atmosphere was great - it seemed liked other patrons knew each other well but we felt welcome. They also have a cool dog. We're unlikely to be in LA again but would definitely stop by Tony's if we were.
I love this place! All the bartenders are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I love the gritty atmosphere! I actually had my first ever drink in a bar here. They've got pool tables, dart boards, ping pong, and even a Foosball table. I like to go and sit in the outdoor patio with a whiskey sour and sometimes a cigarette. They also have a pretty good happy hour. Definetly a good place to stop into to have a few drinks with pals.
Nice little dive, good beer and specialty cocktails which were really good. Several stools at bar or booths to sit at with a back patio for smoking. Adjacent is a pizzeria with great pizza, you can take the pizza into the bar too. There is a small lot to park, usually full. If you don't find parking in that lot you have to park around the neighborhood which can be a little scary at night just the area of downtown its in.
Cool place for the area, genuinely relaxing atmosphere. Apart from the male bar staff. Asking for specific drinks (bourbon, not rye) offends the bar staff and results in uncalled for rude, snarky and aggressive service. Settled and left, as still expected a 20% tip. I guess come if you want a good atmosphere and don’t care if you get the correct drink or not.

I always feel welcomed at Tony's. It is an unpretentious bar - they are there to serve and have you enjoy a drink. Sometimes you can be put off by a place by its patrons - but not at Tony's. The crowd there is pretty laid back and friendly. Some highlights: Free ping-pong, $1/game pool and $3 PBR tall can; you can order pizza next door at PizzaNista and they'll send it over to you in the bar.
Getting a little hectic. They have good stuff on tap and a wide assortment of spirits. It's divey and that's how I like it. Yet their bouncer is a bit of a douche bag. None of the people I meet there require the douch bag approach. Yet for some reason, this guy thinks he's in a red velvet rope club. Dude. It's Tony's. knock it off.
I ordered a beer and a drink. I mostly went for the atmosphere. Not sure what the atmosphere is usually like but for a Tuesday it was quiet and chill. Which is the perfect setting for me. I like to have a conversation and loud music would just be overwhelming. I will be going back.

I really liked this place! Maybe it was the music. Maybe the easy motorcycle parking. It's got that small local bar feel. The Tequila Fling was tasty too. Unfortunately, they don't serve food, but, they do allow you to bring food in from outside. There are a few restaurants within a few doors around, pizza, ramen, etc.
I like it, I live nearby this spot. It's in the art district, so if you got some outfits that you think it'll stand out. This is the spot to come. I met a couple people here also in the pool saloon side. P.S I don't really to go out like that also
Drinks are very strong. You can only get drinks that are in their menu and it's just an average bar. I thought it would be more fun. The theme was cool and the cups and decorations were also very interesting and fun.
It's Tony's. If you're looking for a review to make a decision for you then you should not go here. If you like stiff drinks, OG bartenders, and can act like a decent human being you should stop and have a drink.
Cool little dive bar with ping pong, a pool table and reasonable drink prices. Best on a weekday though as it gets typically over crowded with hipsters on weekends. They also have a parking lot …
No sense of courtesy or respect for local residents. They are currently blasting live rock music for the last hour. It’s past 11pm on a Sunday night.

Cool place but it's ruined by the ping pong table outside you will spend most of your night getting hit in the face with balls . It's a stupid idea for a bar with a small patio
Great bar! Get the Old Fashioned or Manhattan, that's what they're known for. HH is decent. You can bring in pizza from next door, so a plus. Gets packed, but it's a fun spot.
Best late night chill bar. Chess, pool, darts & air hockey Decent happy hour & if you're hungry, there is a pizza spot next door that tonys allows you to bring/eat in the bar
Best bar in the world. Great service pop up food. The best.

The Pickle Back
a dive bar. has a pool table with 1 good stick, outdoor area with ping pong, darts, and foos ball but no drinks allowed. decent happy hour. p. good all things considered.
Wow. I absolutely love this place. At first I was under the assumption that this place will be overhyped and I would be disappointed, but that was the complete opposite.
I did find it to be slightly expensive, but I enjoyed the darts and cocktails. Their old fashioned was truly perfect. The happy hour was overpriced …
Fun place. Reasonably priced drinks. Fin atmosphere. Patio in the back with darts, Foosball, and ping pong. I like stopping by here when I'm in the area.
Great atmosphere, one of the best Old fashions I have ever had. Attention to drink detail and there is a great pizza place next-door to sober up.
Economical priced drinks. Cool you can bring your own pizza from next door. Watch out for the bartender…they pour 90% of the cup…minus one star.
Only for locals...this is not good service bar ...the only guy working is doing a great job ..but don't look like if the care about nothing ...
Loved it . They had burgers in the back and u can always order pizza next door and eat it here great place to hang out and have good drinks
Great Bar! Also it's a plus to have a decent pizza shop next door as well. Not much else in the area to go to, but I'd say it's worth it.
Hidden treasure! This is a favorite waterhole for the locals. Outdoor gaming/smoking area. Nice variety of beers on tap. Cozy atmosphere.
Hidden Gem... nice atmosphere...enjoyed the back patio...lots of room ...if you get hungry you can walk 2 feet away to grab pizza …
I went in and split a bill with my friend and we both got charged the full amount . I tried calling and never got an answer or a refund.
One of the best dives Los Angeles has to offer! Easy! Will be returning, most definitely. Bring your friends, you won't be disappointed
Average place. Outside tables dirty and bouncer an as…. Leave 2 alone Women outside for 20 min waiting for a cab. Even when point out.
A perfect place to hide from the rain. The cocktails were so nice and the staff were really welcoming and friendly. We will be back!
Jeska was one of the best bartenders I’ve ever sat with. The beers were ❄️❄️❄️ and the vibe was !!! …
Hippie & fun place for anytime drinks and hangouts with friends, they got the ping pong, darts, and other games in the yard.
A dive bar vibe. Small bar over all but good vibe. Cool place to get a drink or two. Drinks are normal LA prices.
Good prices on happy hour. Free parking on street after 6. Service was only ok but would definitely come back.
Awesome cocktails, and a photo booth in the corner! You can also bring in pizza from Pizzanista next door.
Great place, photo booth is fun, supposed to be a dive bar. Far from it, but a good time was had by all
great back patio area with darts, table soccer ⚽️, ping pong , pool ,and a chess board ♟ …
Cool little spot, you can get pizza and go to the bar. The back area has darts, ping pong and foosball
Decent bar with cool games and things to do. Nothing great, a bit of a dive, but it has a cool vibe.
Very dive-like bar in arts district. Right next to pizzanista, grab a slice and bring it to the bar.
Great local dive/rock bar with a pool table. Also has a juke box that can play any music you like!
Beyond dive. Sorry to the diehard fans, which I know are many, but it's just really run down.
A must go, it's the go to spot. Great happy hour, pizza next door. What more can we ask for.
Still waiting to order a beer. I need to get my whistle here, pal. You call this a Saloon?
The staff is friendly and helpful, small spot good for a drink with a couple of friends.
Big Dark bar in Arts District! Its very very cool dive bar. But, very Expensive though.
nice little bar, not many selection of tap beers, but they sure make a nice old fashion
Great little spot close to the homies house. Just outside the bougie neighborhood's
Just visited for a quick beer. I wish I could have stayed. This is my type of bar!
Good drink specials. Cool bartenders. @phenomfood@phenaminalliphe@nexingateway
It’s a cool simple bar. Nice place to hang out for a bit and play some pool.
My kind of dive bar. Anywhere in LA that sells PBR for $4 is good in my book
Hip little dive bar with great drinks and games (darts, ping pong ans pool)
Chill place to hangout with good drinks. Can order pizzanista from the bar.
Small dark bar with a jukebox and pool table. It’s a cool little spot
Like the place wish you could drink in the back patio hopefully soon
Service was great, staff were amazing and the atmosphere was dope.
It's ok. A slice from pizzanista and a beer makes it pop, though.
Simplicity at its finest. Wish there were more bars like it.
Just about as “saloony” as a bar can get in Los Angeles.
A whiskey bar, the old fashioned is highly recommended!
At happy hour, you can order by the slice at the bar.
Love it here. Good music reasonably priced drinks.
dtla fave. shhhhh… don’t tell anyone. …
Can't bringing your drinks to the patio anymore
Great atmosphere and good selection of Drinks.
Old school bar, great atmosphere and service.
