"Amazing Instructors!! Great Atmosphere!!! Killer Workouts!!! This is the place to be if you are looking to get in better shape, learn a new skill or compete! Highly Recommend them!! There are so many gyms out there that can't back what they promise and are just looking to make that dollar, I have done my research and experienced some of those gyms, but I can tell you that since attending and joining this gym this IS the REAL DEAL! You will leave here with the fundamentals needed to progress and achieve what you are looking for! This ISN'T A JOKE GYM!! Try it out! I guarantee you will love it just as much as I do!! Thank you Top Level Gym for everything you have taught me and continue to teach me! I am a lifer!!"

There are two things to know about Top Level Gym. The first being that it's owned and ran by Ian Ransburg who is a student of Matee Tongbua. Matee is a Lumpinee champion who flourished in the Golden Era of Muay Thai in Thailand with a technical style (Femui). Ian in his own right is a national champion but that's not what's important. What's important is that Ian teaches authentic Muay Thai with the technician style which is a rare and highly sought after style even among the Thai community. In addition Ian understands other styles and can ADAPT to YOUR STRENGTHS. I have trained across the U.S. and spent some time in Thailand. Training and meeting various Thai legends like Karuhat, Attachai, Kaensak, Samart, Saenchai, and Phet-tho. I can attest that Ian''s knowledge and level of teaching is on the same level as these Thai masters and emphasizes what they do. This is the only place in the state you will find GENUINELY AUTHENTIC Muay Thai. Not Karate, not kickboxing, not Tae Kwon Do but Muay Thai. The second thing to know is that the TEAM at Top Level is tremendous. If you are a genuine person and put effort and are willing to do the work you will soon find that this place is a family. We support each other and help each other to grow and get better. You're not just getting a great coach/trainer but also a team that WILL SUPPORT YOU. A team that has multiple resources from Muay Thai, Boxing, Strength and Conditioning (by Famous Wolf Strength and Fitness), and BJJ. They will cover all your bases.

Was looking to start training, found this gym and never needed to look for another one after the free trial! Ian is an awesome guy who knows what he’s talking about and is always in a good mood. I’m sure a lot of people get anxious before trying something like this.. but everyone is so accepting and supportive because they also were a new guy/girl and know what it’s like! I tried everything they offer and fell in love with the Jiu Jitsu classes. Rob is an awesome guy/coach and is hilarious but don’t tell him I said that . Seriously though, you can tell he truly cares about each and every person and answers any questions you have. Come to the gym and at least try it out if you’re on the fence!!

When I first started looking for a place to train, a gym that prioritized technique was what I was searching for, and they do exactly that here. They break down techniques in small portions so people can actually learn the correct way to do it. If you're looking for a place that has credentials this is also the place for you. All of the coaches have a vast knowledge in their specialized fields. If you're just looking for a fun way to get in shape without being stuck on a hamster wheel, or mundanely picking up heavy objects and putting them down than their Muay Thai, Boxing, Bjj, or Wrestling classes will definitely get you in better shape than the average gym goer.

I signed up for a year of boxing. I went from weighing 190 lbs to 160 lbs. I was wearing a 36" waist and am now wearing a 30" waist. I have Top Level and changing my diet to thank for that. If you go at least 3 times a week, you will be in great shape in no time. The more you go, the easier it gets. My only advice is listen to Ian. He is the trainer/instructor and knows what he is doing. I wouldn't listen to anyone else. Don't feel pressured to get in the ring or spar. Do that when you feel comfortable and only when Ian is able to watch and coach.

Quite simply the best muay thai in Indiana; some would say in the midwest. Ian is so fine with his details and has a wealth of knowledge in both boxing and muay thai. He keeps the classes relaxed and playful, yet very difficult if you apply yourself. I've trained in many gyms in the US and internationally (Thailand, Australia), and the instruction and support you get from Ian, the other coaches, and the other class participants is among the best you will find anywhere. Great atmosphere to progress your skills and improve fitness.

I have been going to Top Level for over a year and it is by far the best place I have ever trained. There are professional and knowledgeable coaches for Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu, and MMA. There is no place in Indiana where you can cross-train like this. If you are training to compete, stay in shape, or just because you love it, you will always be able to train at the desired intensity for you. I definitely recommend the week trial to see for yourself!

Best Martial Arts Academy in Indiana for an overall experience and in depth skillset. Great Coaches and Team atmosphere. You will not find better Muay Thai anywhere else and coach Rob is the best coach in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu you could ever have, and not to mention a UFC fighter and Purdue wrestler as a wrestling coach...plus to add the cherry on top Coach Campbell's MMA class will push you to your limits in terms of combining your skillset and conditioning.

This class has been the best confidence builder for my daughter. She struggled with being bullied because she’s a tall and bigger girl than her peers. She used to cry about being tall. She’s been enrolled for about 6 months now. She tried all the classes and decided she loves boxing the most. Her trainer is the best & connects with all the younger kids. I couldn’t be happier with the results!

I started a week ago and this place is addictive. The Boxing and Muay Thai instructors are really cool dudes! The environment is incredible, positive, and focused on meeting your needs. Great for the person looking to learn how to fight like a professional and develop a healthy lifestyle. I was incredibly nervous the first day I went but I am more than glad I signed up!

  • Tony Slagle

Top Level manages to be friendly and welcoming and at the same time a hardcore fight training gym. I can speak to the BJJ instruction specifically - I was in Indianapolis for work and stopped by for a Monday class. Cody did a great job breaking down the technique and equally important, how to flow and not lose position if you don’t get it right.

If you want a phenomenal place to get in shape and learn real legitimate Muay Thai this is the place. If you are looking to just get a hell of a workout or if you are a fighter wanting to take your game to the next level train here you won't regret it.

  • Aaron Webb Will Be Rich

Just had my first lesson and it was great. Just 3 of us, the instructor, me, and another guy who had been going for a month which made me feel a lot less nervous. It was pretty intense but insanely professional. Awesome place and pretty cheap.

  • Kyle Maguiness

Ian is a great instructor. If you are serious about learning kickboxing or just want a good workout through kickboxing this is the gym you want to train at. I moved and no longer attend there but would recommend for anyone in the area!

  • Chuck H

Was searching for training for competition and to get into shape. This is the place for both. Every coach at every different martial art here is the best there is. Can't get this kind of variety of training often.

We absolutely love Top Level Gym. Ian is great with the kids. He's very patient and teaches them the proper skills. My son has never really enjoyed any other sport that we have put him in, but he loves going here.

  • Justis Tucker

The atmosphere at top level gym is very positive. All coaches are very approachable, experts in their craft, and care about their people. Joining this gym has taken my Muy Thai and Jiu jitsu to the next level.

  • Susan Gajderowicz

Ian is just about the nicest and most respectful guy you could wish to meet. He is encouraging, talented in the sport and up for any challenge - even bringing an armchair ‘grannie’ into a fitness program!!! x

  • M Tumnus

There are only a handful of Muay Thai gyms in Indy, and this one is by far the best. The training is great, and always a good workout. The rates per month, or in full up front, are really nice also.

  • Jess Harris

Ive trained with Coach Rob Lewis since 2014. Rob got his black belt under World Champion Jack McVicker. Rob has a wealth of Brazilian Jitsu knowledge, ranging from old school to new age jiu jitsu.

  • Nathaniel fordham

The team at Top Level has helped me lose over 100 pounds and advance my martial arts technique further then I could have ever imagined, Amazing atmosphere for people of all ages and skill levels!

  • Khan Myers

I look forward to training at this gym someday! Some cities like connersville and Richmond don't have these gyms. I wish there was one in the town I'm in now!

  • Kyle Duquette

Visited from out of town today. Friendly, knowledgeable people with a great environment. Made me feel welcome immediately.
