The branch that I attended is on the north side of Finch Avenue West just East of Torresdale Avenue. Staff there are extremely helpful and very polite! It's a smaller neighborhood branch so if you live in the area or just happen to be in close proximity and require library services you won't be disappointed if you drop in.
I absolutely love this library. I've been going here ever since I was born. It deserves an upgrade. That would give so much to a community that made me the man I am today. Heads up this library will be closed on February 18th for approximately 3 years. The nearest library is located by the North York center
I visited this location this afternoon with my infant, my son, and my brother with special needs. We were having some difficulties checking out but the staff person at the front desk was so patient and helped us out a lot. Thank you so much for your kindness, this location is always one of our favourites.
I could give zero star for this location and the structure. Not the best despite all the apartments surrounding the area. Too noisy because the children's corner is right by the adults reading section. It's unfair to adults who go there to study. Great location. Something needs to be done please!
This is the second time that I've visited this location. High-5 to Hi-thumb, who helped me find some lost Xcel documents and educated me about all the amazing learning resources at the Library. I had no idea (believe it or not). Thank you for your patience. You made my day. …
Everyone is so loud here... the receptionists wanted me to speak so loudly to them. I signed up to receive a library card and was trying to explain to them that I had never done it before, but they were so rude to me. They were short and forceful, and it made me uncomfortable.
I reside in Toronto and I was told that because my address was north of Steeles, they wanted to charge me. I expressed that I declined because I was moving shortly below Steeles and I would sign up then...and they kept trying to sell me to pay. It was extremely annoying.
Almost always has what I want to read. Even if it's a book that has just appeared on the New York Times Best Seller list, I can get it in reasonable time from the Centennial branch. I don't live in Toronto, but I value TPL's service so much I pay to be a member.
As I know Library is supposed to be quiet and disciplined. In Centennial library, the staff members are so loud. They don’t even try to talk softly. How can they expect the library visitors to obey the discipline? People talk on the phone,
I so cannot wait for North York Public Library to re-open. The Library at Bathurst and Finch is more of a daycare centre than a library. Kids are loud and parents don't seem to care, actually when they read to the kids they are even louder
Plenty of natural light and places on which you can do your work. This library has a rich selection of books and the staff that is willing to help you. Just like all Toronto public libraries you can put a book on hold and pick it up here.
One of the worst libraries I've been to.. It's very noisy... Reception staff are also loud at times and I can hear everything when they talk or put books away. Computers and tables are set up like a can of sardines with very little elbow
I have used this Library for many years (almost 20 years by my estimation) but I cannot believe that they are shut down for 4 to 5 DAYS because the air conditioning is not working. How long does it take to repair a/c?? I am not happy. I
This library is located on Finch Avenue West near the intersection of Finch Avenue West and Bathurst Street. Even though the library might not look like large enough, it has quite a lot of library materials such as books, DVDs, audio
I absolutely adore this TPL branch! The staff are always friendly to me and they have a great selection of books for all ages! The book sale is a little underwhelming but not much the library can do about that. The youth centre is
I left my jacket here by accident. When I called them to ask to put it in the lost and found, they were very patient and professional with me. When I was getting it back they gave it back to me with a smile. Great service here.
Clean library, helpful staff but very VERY noisy. They don't even try to be quiet or be respectful to the people trying to study. If your coming here to just lounge then its fine but good luck trying to study.
Just headed out to the Centennial Branch to get set up with a library card, and the librarians were super helpful in getting me set up and informed of the book and media borrowing policies!
Apart from the library being pretty old looking, honestly it's a pretty good library. They have a good selection and staff are always helpful. Will always be coming back :)
Very noisy library almost impossible to focus on what you're reading kids yealling everywhere no quite area to work and also people talk really loud
Great people, wonderful space to work. A little inconvenient to get to though - between busy Finch Ave and a parking lot with broken pavement.
While employees talking with phone for their personal stuff they threw your library card at you .washroom is horrible, management is so weak.
Very clean but very very noisy. Not a great place if you want to study. Unfortunately, the staff is not active at keeping the place quiet!!
I love visiting the library. And this one has helpful staff, it's great. Also collection of books and environment is amazing.
Plenty of seating and tables arranged in one area by the windows facing Finch. Outlets on walls and floor near tables.
The paper bag princess display is amazing. Nice place, though it is a bit loud with people talking without whispering.
A poor selection of books and no quiet area where you can read or study. They do accept book donations though!
Very nice place to get books from, they have quite a couple. But I do wonder when the branch is renovating.
Small but quite cozy and friendly space with large windows and beautiful view in the reading area.
This library has a wide collection of books for kids. The staffs are very welcoming and kind.
Love this library, it has all,my favorite book and a bunch of other very interesting books
Nice place to study and especially the staff are very friendly …
Small and welcoming place to spend some time reading magazines...
A quiet and cozy library for reading, studying, and relaxing.
It’s a a great location, I take lots of books for kids …
This is a small and friendly library staff
Friendly staff. Good place to study
Needs stack renewal yesterday.
Very friendly people
