"This branch of TPL is not very well marked from outside"

Very neat and clean library. Plenty of natural light, and clear view of the front of city hall. Staff seemed very nice and polite, going as far as giving me directions to another library that had a book I was looking for. They also allowed me to bring drinks in, so that was nice. An incredibly small library compared to others I've been to. As such, not too many places to sit, unless you sit by the windows; there aren't tables, just a short platform with radiators (I think), and the chairs don't really bend backwards. The selection is, likewise, very small. Getting to the library itself is a hassle for such a small selection, so I do not recommend coming here, unless you're just in the area and need a place to stay for a bit.
Tragically most of the downtown libraries are often unstable wifi whether the smell comes from the weird, the small, the tall, the old, the young, the richards, or the poor. There's a strong spiritual symbolism of hierarchy and discrimination, kkkk. But have a nice stay, just make sure to watch over your bags and other belongings. You may encounter hostile crazy junkies in the area, speaking in stank devil tongue. I would imagine working anywhere downtown would be filthy with all that crazy garbage. Just check out the Tim Hortons coffee shop in the downtown core, it's even worst. Some die in the washrooms down there.
This branch of TPL is not very well marked from outside. Enter the city hall building from Nathan Philips square side, then turn right and go down the hallway to find the library entrance. The library itself is small. A good view of the square can be enjoyed from the reading area. The childrens' section is quite small. Library staffs are friendly and helpful.
The library has good good collection of books but its not as big as the other public libraries. The staff is friendly and helpful but the atmosphere is not quiet at all. Due to small space we can here even if the staff talks among themselves. I do go at the place to read books on Nutrition since it’s near to my home. I miss the quietness if the library here.
If you are a bibliophile, you are surely gona love this place... Its an heaven.. Their interiors, layout everything is well planned.. The collection is huge and the private cubicles are the best concept.. The staff is extremely finding in helping you find your correct book patiently..
Here, there are too many homeless individuals, and the place is both dirty and smelly. The unpleasant odor makes it unbearable for me to concentrate on my studies, and I would not recommend anyone looking to use the library facilities normally to visit this branch.
Front desk was nice. Its kinda hard to find from the outside. Staff was fine. The space in general is rather small though, couldnt find a single quiet spot to sit in the library because all the kids areas are in the same room, close proximity.
Small library location that isn’t open on weekends. They do have small events like author talks here. Check the website or postings at the library for details. There isn’t much of a kids play area except for a carpet by the kids books section.
'Organised, helpful and friendly staff." "Christina (Tina), I appreciate the excellent service you provide. Your great communication skills, professional service and ready made smile makes my library visits worthy!!!"
The place is small and smells bad because of the homeless people there. I borrowed two books there and when I needed to print a piece of paper the printing services are inoperative for months due to a cyber attack.
