The staff aren't the best here. I had my shoes and socks soaked in the rain, so I removed my shoes where I was sitting and it was raining outside so I couldn't even go out and this librarian said I couldn't remove my shoes even though they were wet. So I had to sit through wet feet until the rain stopped. I wish people could be more understanding. I never went there again.
The Palmerston branch is a welcoming little library which hosts a full calendar of workshops and community events. It has a functional community theatre in the basement. The Palmerston Library needs better bike racks. If any library administrators are reading this, I would suggest Peak Racks. You can see one behind Kilgour's/Seekers, just south of Bloor and Borden St.
The library is quite small with very few seats to study efficiently. However, if you are working on a quick assignment, or need a place to go on the internet for a bit, then this is a good library to do that in! Also, keep in mind that the subway is nearby so when it goes underneath, the floor shakes time to time and can be loud!
This library is small with limited seating. I used the kids’ seats as it was facing the window and the only place where you can get sunlight. It also has a washroom. The staff are very efficient and approachable. This is a nice place to study but go early to get seats.
People in there is very friendly. The first time I’ve come there, I didn’t know what to do in the library, they introduced me about library, guided me how to make the library card or borrow books. It makes me a deep impression. I very like it.
I came here to sign up for a library card and the lady at the counter was so friendly and sweet! She had such a lovely energy and smile and was so thorough in explaining the whole library system and answering all my questions. :
I was having a hard time trying to print my document but thanksfully, Andrew has been a great help. He went all the way to help me get the printed document and I really appreciate the effort. Definitely recommended this branch!
Very small location, but it's functional. It's never busy. The hours are a little awkward, so you might have to wait around if you're looking to get some work done, but then you might as well walk to a nearby coffee shop.
I'm glad this library exists, and they do a good job of balancing books and desk space, but it's still a bit small and full the couple of times I've been there.
Great staff! Very helpful...fantastic librarians! Cozy and small. Good programming for young children. Conveniently located close to transit.
Nice small library. Doesn't have wheelchair access though. Does have book drop-off. Great quite place to study and read books.
I place holds on library books all the time that are delivered to this location, and the process is always quick and efficient
A smaller library with less books, but it has computers you can use and the tables charging ports. Helpful staff and well lit.
Smaller branch but well laid out; easily accessible washroom facilities; good selection of dvds. Oh, and they have some books.
One of the smallest TPL branches. Not the best for quiet reading: no soundproofing and constant rumbling from the subway.
It’s a cute neighbourhood library but it’s not too great if you want to have quiet time as there’s lots of noise.
It’s a nice place, but staff chitchats all the time, so it’s really hard to focus and read something …
Small and not a variety. The employees look at you as if you're going to steal books :/
One of my favorite branches even though it's small
Great place! Advocating for the free speech, too.
Upholding free speech, amazing ♀️ …
Friendly staff, very helpful and kind.
Friendly staff with good service.
Amazing service, smiling people.
Fairly small and busy
The wifi was great
Peaceful place
