***Revision: 8-28-20 So after 5 star reviews and a half a dozen purchases for thousands of dollars, They tell me they are no longer doing LayAway purchases. And they raised their prices higher than MSRP. My LayAway purchases were ALWAYS paid way before the allotted time given. But because sales are up during the covid crisis they have changed their policy and raised their prices. I guess they don't need my business anymore. I'm very disappointed and will no longer be a customer at Traders nor will I recommend them. *****Edit 9/08/2020 I've just read your response to my review and found it deceptive and insincere. 1. The gun I was going to purchase was not a handgun at all, it was a rifle so your excuses about a thirty day waiting period between purchases wouldn't even apply. 2. There was no one else wanting or waiting to purchase that firearm at that time, so your line about "Holding guns for someone would be unfair" is lame at best, in that retail sales are always first come first serve, this was not an auction. 3. The "appreciation" you showed to me for accessories purchased as gratitude for my thousands of dollars in previous purchases was a bad joke in that you gave me no better discount than you give any military person off the street making a purchase, and I'm military too! 4. You raised your prices above retail, because you can get away with it due to increased gun sales, not your inability to obtain them. I'm surprised in your dishonesty just to CYA regarding my honest review. Maybe next time you'll try to personally contact the customer to resolve issues rather than ineffectively writing a contrived and dishonest response that I find insulting. Sincerely, Bruce Schram

I've always been wary of pawn shops because I was uneducated and believed the stigma from people who were just as uneducated. I've passed by Traders for years and I finally went in to see about selling an old gold ring I had that I didn't wear. First off, I was shocked to see how clean and nice it was inside and to see what a big selection of jewelry, tools, music instruments, movies, watches and antiques they had. I was even more surprised to see that it was a family-owned business of some of the nicest people I have ever met. Not only were they nice, there are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I also didn't realize that they were a jewelry store with lots of pre-owned, new and custom jewelry. I guess you should never judge a book by it's cover. I gave them my ring and they appraised it right on the premises, offered me more than I thought I would get, gave me cash and that was it. Totally painless and an actually very pleasant experience. I'm proud to say that I'm a fan of Traders. Really nice and knowledgable people. Oh yes, and I also felt good about the great security they had. I'm happy I stopped in. I'll definitely be back. Lots of great finds in there too if you're looking for a unique gift for someone or just something for yourself.

I have known of this pawn shop since I moved to Reseda as a kid in 1989. The massive business logo will burn a hole through your soul as you sit there stuck during afternoon traffic on Reseda Boulevard & Sherman Way on a 4th of July! Experiences will change with the times and the endless recruit of fresh employees that come and go. I decided to go during the weekend to seek a loan with an electronic item I forgot I had just sitting around. Luckily, I was helped quickly and gave me a list of items I would be needing in order to complete my $125 loan. Very simple process and in a few minutes I was given an envelope with the cash and even let me choose what bills I wanted for my convenience. Even the guard was a friendly young gentleman who didn't give me the death stare like at other places. I would score my experience a 10 out of 10 and would recommend if you're seeking a loan with a something worthwhile of course. Hopefully this may help someone who is trying to narrow down their list of pawn shops they want to visit in the near future.

I went there 8/3/17 trying to pawn my new HP Elite x21011 tablet 4GB Memory 128 GB SSD Intel HD Graphics 5300 11.6" Touchscreen 1920 x 1080 2-in-1 Laptop Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit Cover Keyboard Pen for $200 dollars a little travel money and they offered me $25 dollars....lol. So what they do to appraise your item is go to ebay and lookup used older models of tablets not your model but older models worth maybe $130 dollars and base on that is what they appraise your item. Which is pretty ridiculous because my tablet used on ebay is easily worth $300 dollars. I would of even taken $100 dollars from them and they would of made some money on there interest rate in return, all would of been good. But they seem to not know how to value items properly and not have any good customer service skills. Owner should really evaluate the workers and there professionalism.

Avoid this place at all costs. They are extremely unethical regarding firearms. They offered $500 for a Benelli M4 semi auto 12g. The gun new is $2,200 and used was selling for 1,800; so I asked initially for $1,200. I was willing to do $1000 for the loan,.but the owner came back with $500. It was extremely unethical, and I wondered how many people they have taken advantage of. They really have no business dealing with firearms, and there are plenty of pawn shops that offer ethical prices for a loan. Update: I just received $1,150 from a different pawn shop, so please take your business else where. It's stupid to loose lifetime customers, trying to take advantage of them once. Great way to loose a lot of business!

So i went to this pawn shop the other day to sell my tag heuer watch, first i called them and asked if they buy tag watches, the guy said yes.So i brought it in to sell it and the guy took it to the back for about 5 minutes and brought it back to me and said he can only buy it for 50 dollars, i said really cause it just sold on ebay for 495.00, i said the only person that would sell this $1465 watch to you is a crack head, this place had very bad service, i believe you cant make everyone happy, however you should always have good customer service they lost money not me, the midddle eastern guy should be fired for not knowing his job and losing money!!! Dont do businesss with these CROOKS!!!

I went in looking for very specific items and though I was unable to find what I was looking for (it was a one in a million chance I'd find it) the staff was incredible - patient, kind, knowledgeable, courteous, all you hope for when shopping for jewelry. They provided individual customer assistance and service which is invaluable to me. I did end up purchasing a couple of gorgeous items at excellent prices, and they even cleaned, polished, and boxed the items for me! Thank you, Traders Loan and Jewelry! You have instantly become my favorite jewelry shop and I will absolutely return and highly recommend this shop to all.

Highly recommend Traders Loan and Jewelery. These guys are amazing. This is my first time doing an ffl transfer through them and they couldn't have been more helpful and made the transaction super smooth. I was also suppose to pick up my firearm at noon but called and they actually squeezed me in 30 min before closing. These guys and gals are great!! Garbage wanted to give me 10-20 percent of silver spot price value asked for social security and asked if I bought them. horrible attitude said they would charge me 2 percent for the first month but it in reality was charging me 9 percent. didn’t give me the chance to read contract hurries me to just sign. You did give me 50 percent after hassling. Hows 10 dollars interest from a 110 dollar loan 2 percent? Why did you put down gifted when I told you I bought them after you asked me? You do offer low interest regardless I give you that so thank you.

First of all, Matt and the rest of the crew at TRADERS LOAN AND JEWELRY were very friendly and helpful in every way possible, a very professional business, even tho I had trouble with my bank on a transaction using my ATM(all my banks fault at “CHASE JP MORGAN”) they kept there word with me and held my firearm for me. Awful service and they tell you alot of BS. Came here to pawn my Springfield 1911 and the guy claimed he couldn't look it up. Then said that the gun was going for 500 used and they only offer 20% of that. Sounds like you looked it up and then offered me 50 dollars. Paid over 700 for it and it's in great condition and last time I checked 20% of 500 is not 50. Went to another pawn shop and got over 200 dollars with much better service. That let me no that they BS you. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN you want a better deal go to Simi valley .

I have used this location as an FFL on several occasions, each time I am impressed with their knowledgeable staff. I have had nothing but positive experiences at Traders. My fiance and I picked out my engagement ring and he was able to make payments and they had it sized for me as well. Everyone on the staff is very knowledgeable about every product they have in there on top of being friendly and welcoming when u come in. Worst PPT experience I've ever had. From the get go they were not only rude but misinformed on gun laws. Then when I check in on the background check (because they don't even call to tell you it's gone through) they say I have to come in the next day because of how busy it is. The next day I walk in to an empty store...why lie? Just let customers pick up their property. They also fail to tell you about needing a lock to pick up so that you have to buy one there. Even for a pawn shop this place is pretty terrible.

I bought an 18k emerald ring which was in their case priced @$5,000 I eventually purchased the ring for about 3500. I went back today they offered me 1,000. Do business with them at your own peril. I will never buy anything there in the future. I showed the "old fossil" watch expert a Rolex watch which routinely sells for between 5and 6 thousand he told me he sells them for 3k. When I offered to buy one for 3k he convieniently out of stock. I detest liars. Maybe he is just senile. DON'T GO THERE!

They are crooks. I went to get a diamond ring. I looked at a ring and liked it. They said it was half price, and I really liked it. Then they took it to the back for cleaning, and when they brought it back, it just didn't look right, so I had them test it in front of me, and the device red lined on the stone repeatedly (fake). Do not buy anything that you can not test right there and then with them, and don't let what you want to buy out of your site. I am really angry with them.

Good customer service should be a given but not so with many places. Traders was easy, smooth and professional to work with. I went in a few weeks ago inquiring about a firearm, and John gave me all the info I needed to prepare for a purchase. After studying for the test, I came in today with all the documents needed. Matt assisted me in purchasing a hand gun; he was friendly and more importantly knowledgeable. Hope to do more business with them in the future.

The Lowest interest in town yes but also the lowest prices in town. I was working at pawn shops and jewelry stores for almost 15 years. I know the prices. All I asked is 60% from the value of my coins ($1000 for 1 oz of 24k gold that cost today $1645).You need to almost beg them. I think they like to treat people this way. Enough is enough. Will redeem my last tickets and take business elsewhere.

So I bought a rifle online and picked this store to be my FFL dealer. Luckily I did as the workers like Matt was cordial and kind. All their attention is devoted to you and your safety. I fell comfortable and safe as they explain how my rifle works and make sure I understand it. They also have some nice gun collections and maybe in the future they will have more selections.

I went to traders loan and jewelry looking for gold chains. When I arrived I was greeted by Matt. He was very helpful and knowledgeable I was able to get a 14k gold chain , it is very nice and more than I expected the price was very good. The chain looked brand new. They always have good deals on jewelries golds and diamonds and even other stuff like branded handbags and guitars and vintage stuff, and they have layaways and repairs for your jewelries, I always find something good that I love here, that cant find anywhere els with these great deals and they work it out with you.

Dishonest. Do not take your ring for resizing or it will come up at least a half gram light. Quite a hefty tax plus, my ring is flimsy and thin now. I think they lied and said that the jeweler had passed away but the managers didn't care at all when I confronted them about it...

Great knowledgeable store, made my FFL transfer easy and helped answer up any questions i had. When possible they were also flexible with their time. Matt even laminated my card for me as a courtesy! If you ever need to ship spmething to an FFL this place is a great way to go.

Traders has been serving the valley for many years and it's clear why when you do business there. The customer service is exceptional and they go above and beyond. Courteous staff, clean establishment and a side selection of services. It's old school in the best possible way.

This is a lively place. The people who work there seem very knowledgeable and can talk a storm. I didn't see anything resembling a bargain in there though. The Internet has killed bargains at pawn shops because everybody knows the price of everything now.
