Unfortunately, my experience with the bike repair service left much to be desired. I called to make an appointment to have a new e-bike assembled (it was a raffle prize I won so it wasn't a bike purchased at the store). I was told they could do the work in 2 weeks and that I should bring the bike in on the afternoon before the service day. I did as requested, only to learn that the shop is closed on Mondays. When I said something about it the next day, I was simply told, "Monday is our weekend." There was no regard for the inconvenience of getting someone with a truck to help me bring the bike in. Dealing with the service department was not much better. I tried to tell the man in charge what was needed - assemble the bike to the specs outlined in the manual and make it safe to ride since I have plans to sell it because it's too big for me. But I never received feedback indicating he understood. He was impatient and his attitude was dismissive. He made no eye contact and walked away before I could finish what I was saying. I handed a second man a pouch of parts that came with the bike and he nodded. I left there with very little faith the work would be done properly. In fact, one of the brakes rubs on the finished bike! I'll sell it with the caveat that the new owner should have it serviced somewhere else. Lastly, I was told over the phone by the original person who made the appointment that it shouldn't cost more than $50 for what I needed. The bill was $80.

Terrific bike shop. Always ready and able to get me back on the roads or trails. With regard to their approach to the current pandemic, the entire staff has been a model of attention and care for months. Since March, I have been to the shop numerous times. T&F was one of the first businesses to implement a curbside service and strict mask policy. I even recall asking staff where they got their masks when I could not find any. Frustrating as it was, the shop did not allow customers inside and only recently began allowing 3 visitors at a time through the doors. I have not once seen them waver from following and exceeding the safety guidelines. Given what I have seen around town, T&F should be praised for their early and continued commitment to keeping their customers and staff safe.

Worst bike shop experience ever. Had wheels in for tires install, was told to pick up today. Was told they didn’t have glue (a bike shop without rim glue-oooookay), and when I asked for a date I could expect wheels, they were vague, copped an attitude and said, “Why don’t you just take your wheels.” So I did. I was upset, another guy in the shop tries to make excuses, then asks me if I’d been there before. Evidently you need to buy a bike from their elitist Belle Meade bike shop to not get treated rudely by stressed out mechanics or something. I dunno. Meantime, go to Cumberland Transit, where the humans are kind and happy to see you.

As another reviewer said, there are plenty of bigger bike shops in the Nashville area, but this one outshines them all when it comes to the level of service and commitment to getting things "right". George, Chris and the other staff are extremely knowledgeable, whether it's helping you choose the best bike for your needs or servicing the bike you already have. They show how much they care every time I go to the shop. You can buy a bike anywhere, but when it comes to quality service and the desire to keep you safely on the trail or road, Gran Fondo Trail and Fitness is the winner, hands down!

Great bike shop amazing people, I bought a fun trail hardtail from here to use and abuse and that's what I've done! I've rode it in all conditions (rain, mud, snow) and crashed it multiple times, its held through it all. They sold me the bike new at MSRP and the first tune up was free, (a curtesy you should expect from all good bike shops) along with the other times I brought it in I was pleasantly surprised with their prices. Great entry point if you want to get off your Walmart bike and try something new, I've hooked many friends on the hobby and my conquest will not stop!

The biking is a whole lot different on the Gulf Coast than in Tennessee. It's flat in Pensacola. My new town of Nashville begged for an electric bike. My 77-year-old problem solving skills kicked in. I researched. It was confusing. George Khoury was the person who listened to my needs and knew the bike I would love. He was right. The Specialized Turbo-Vado SL 5.0 is quiet, light, seamless in the assists and rides like a regular bike when I want it too. I am ever grateful for his knowledge and assistance. You will be too.

My bike rental experience from Trail & Fitness Bicycles was first class all the way. The staff were helpful and friendly on the phone and explained the rental process and local trail options. George came in on a Sunday and prepped the rental Mountain Bike and gave me tips and advice on where to go. Trails are an easy 15 minute ride away for out of towners without a car to have a great ride. Thanks George and the team at Trail & Fitness, you’ve got a great operation and a great team there.

I've been riding and racing mountain, cross, and road for over a decade and I'm pretty hard on my equipment. George, Chris, and the the team at T&F have always been nothing but professional and on point with their service. It's no accident that I just purchase my third bike from them. They do an excellent job personalizing their service regardless of the customer's knowledge and I've recommended them to all my friends regardless of their experience level. Highly recommend.

I’ve been going here for a long time and I’ve never been disappointed. They always follow up with me and do exactly what they promise. They know my name each time I go into the store and are very helpful when I ask questions. I think it’s realy important to support local bike stores, but I wouldn’t recommend them so highly if they didn’t give good service. I feel like I see everyone get good service each time I’m in the store, so I think that is just how operate.

Well I think I found the best bike shop in Nashville. I took my bike in to see what was wrong with the gears shifting since I’m a new rider, and these guys really looked out for me and helped me find the part I needed at the best price and did an excellent job installing it so quickly even while they were busy! I had 2 people recommend it to me and had no idea it was this close to my house. These guys deserve your business. So happy they’re in Nashville.

I recently purchased a gravel bike from George and his team at Trail and Fitness. They were excellent! I was able to get the perfect setup for what I was looking for. I was able to customize a few of the components on a stock bike, and this was no issue for their team. I would highly recommend this bike shop based on how friendly they were as well as their professional and timely service. I would like to thank everyone at TF for all of their help!

George is awesome, accommodating, and passionate about helping customers enjoy what I found to be some great local MTBing during my work trip to Nashville. The shop is badass too with amazing bikes and tons of gear to ogle. I keep a short list of shops around the country where I can squeeze in rides in between business and I've got a new reason to be excited about coming back to Nashville. Thanks George!

  • joe paolini

This is the best bike shop I have ever dealt with. Knowledgeable staff and George is a stand up guy, looking out for his customers and runs a great business. I highly recommend this bike shop if your shopping online or in person. They can answer all your questions and get you into the right equipment with a simple phone call ( yes they do answer) or stop in and meet there staff. Be safe and and enjoy Joe

  • Dwayne Zeigler

I rented a Stumpjumper online a few months before my trip from Florida. It had rained quite a bit before i arrived but they knew the trails in the Nashville area and sent me to one that drained well.T&F had the bike ready and set up for my weight, it being a carbon fiber stumpy was a plus. I would suggest for anyone looking to rent or buy the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

  • Brian Smith

Best bike shop in Nashville. The shop is staffed with adults who are very knowledgeable. I appreciate the attention they give their customers. I actually went to the shop yesterday (the new larger space) for repairs to my son's bike. I expected to drop it off and pick it up later. Not today - in about ten minutes, the repairs were completed and I was on my way. Thank you!

  • Christian Martin

These guys have set the standard for bike shops. I have been to several other shops in Nashville, Vancouver, Victoria etc. and none of them compare to T&F. The staff is amazing, when I first started cycling on a cheap bike they made me feel welcomed in their store. They take the time to teach me about things I do not know. Even from Canada, I will continue to support T&F!

  • Dr Jason Wendel

I can't say enough great things about Lynn, Clayton, Drew and the entire crew at Gran Fondo. I took my road bike in for service recently. The adjustments and recommendations they provided have greatly improved my performance and riding experience. These guys know what they are doing. Five Stars and then some. Thank you, Gran Fondo! I appreciate what you have done for me.

  • Justin Matthew Bohr

I can't say enough. The entire team was incredibly helpful, kind, and thorough. I bought a bike on craigslist that basically had everything broken on it. They got me rolling for an incredibly reasonable price with a very quick turnaround. It's hard to think I will take my business anywhere else. I highly recommend this business.

George owns the mountain bike store and is great. He has helped me with every little thing on my bike to tailor it to my exact specifications and you can tell him and Harvey actually really care about your riding experience. Couldn't recommend a better place in the area to go. Always feel good after leaving George's store.

  • David Farabaugh

George and the team at Trail and Fitness are absolutely great. They may win the award for the tiniest shop with the biggest soul. I live inFranklin and there’s another great shop about 3mi from home but I go to T&F whenever possible. If you want awesome service and a great selection, you need to see these guys!

  • Ray

I had a great experience. My emails were quickly and accurately responded, they sent everything I needed/wanted without hesitation, and they explained everything clearly when I called them. The price was great and they even through in some extra things. I am very pleased and highly recommend Gran Fondo Cycles!

  • Kyle Cotton

Wow, what a great shop! Chris and his team helped my girlfriend and I get some excellent rentals (they have carbon MTB rentals!). They took the time to set the bikes for our height/weight, and made sure we had familiarity with them before we set off. Next time I come into town, I am renting from here again.

  • Jim Mayes

The guys at Trail & Fitness are Pros! From George the owner to the mechanics Chris, Dean and Shannon, they run a great shop. All are very knowledgeable and take the time needed to service the bike you already have or guide you with honesty and integrity to one that you will enjoy riding. Great experience!

  • Tom Powers

My bike needed a new shifter body, tuneup and a good cleaning. George gave me the date when it would be completed and T&F delivered on time. The bike looked like it had just come from Lynskey and the shifters and derailleurs were perfectly adjusted. I will never take it anywhere else!

  • Joshua Wolff

I first came into the shop because I needed a pretty specific tire for a road race. They happen to be out of what I needed, but an employee there literally gave me a set of his personal tires to use. Not only are they prompt and courteous but prices are extremely fair. 11 stars

  • Jeff Summers

Great all around full service shop. From kids bikes to pro-bike builds, they have you covered. Friendly and super-experienced service techs. They carry the top-shelf brands and these guys ride bikes. Go see George, Dean, Chris and Shannon and you'll see what I mean.

  • Erik Wells

Great people, made NBD awesome. A shop with a great mindset. Helpful and knowledgeable. Willing to listen and suggest good options. I bought from out of town not knowing the shop at all. They made it easy and no stress. Look forward to visiting again soon!

  • Matt McEvoy

The team at this bike shop has been terrific. I have rented from them a couple of times as I am deciding on the type of bike that I want. I am a novice and they have been very patient with all of my questions and have given great customer service!

  • Stewart Evers

Months after a repair, I started having issues with the gears. I brought it back expecting to pay for a full tune up, yet in minutes they had it fixed & no charge. They stand behind their work, and build customer loyalty the old fashioned way.

  • Genaro Manzano

Lynn and his staff are truly verily talented bike professionals. When I was in the market for a new road bike, they help me get into a bike that I absolutely love. Thank you for all the hard work and patience. I love my new Bianchi Intenso!!

  • John Hollerith

We rented 4 mountain bikes for our family off various riding abilities. George was extremely accommodating and helpful getting us fitted properly, over to the biking trails and headed in the right direction. I highly recommended their shop.

  • James Hargis

Stoked to get my 20 year old bike serviced so quickly. New pedals are great - cables and housing seem solid. Very nice and honest guys. Quick turn around, (< 24 hours). Highly recommend. Learned a new phrase today... "under budget".

  • Mike Reed

Absolutely love this shop. George and Chris are excellent to work with. If you are looking for a top notch dealer and service experience then look no farther than this shop. Big shout out to the entire staff at Trail and Fitness!!!

  • Mary Liza Hartong

Really appreciate the time and care they took with my bike. I brought in an old, dusty bike to see if the tires were okay and they pumped them up for free. I will definitely be returning the next time I need bike help. Thanks!

  • Graham Gerdeman

George and his team at Trail & Fitness are top notch. Skilled and fair mechanics and excellent customer service. It's a small shop, without the inventory of larger players, but they'll work with you for what you need.

  • Chel Mitchell

Being new to Nashville, I asked a handful of cyclist what shop they frequented. They steered me in the direction of T&F and I have to say they do not disappoint. Good guys there and friendly service. Check them out!

  • T. Sternberg

Natchez Trace Bicycle Shop is Trail & Fitness Bicycles. Simply the best to deal with when riding the Natchez Trace. Shipped my bicycle to them and they had it ready for me to ride. Very kind and helpful.
