The private saunas and the float tanks are really nice, but if you opt for a massage, know that you have to pay an extra fifteen dollars over the list price to get a "therapeutic" massage. Otherwise, you get a completely ineffectual "relaxation" massage. Maybe the therapeutic massage is great, but the relaxation massage is more like a series of limp oily pets, and I've never had a massage where I couldn't specify the pressure I wanted. In fact, the idea of a non-therapeutic massage seems incredible, since the people delivering the massages are called therapists. I get that deep tissue massages are more work and I understand paying more for them, but I've had a lot of massages, and there was a ton of room between what I got and a deep tissue massage. It seems dishonest to list a price for a massage but actually require an extra $15 to get anything remotely resembling one. Although the owner's response is appreciated, the point I was trying to make is that the standard massage isn't standard, it's bad. I chose the standard because I've had "standard" massages at lots of places both local and not, and they've all been better than Transcend's standard. If the standard had been more accurately named the "sub-par", I certainly wouldn't have chosen it.

Was staying in San Antonio for work and thought I'd schedule a massage here and was so grateful I did. I booked a time and with 'any available staff' and luckily scheduled with Natasha and not only was she an excellent masseuse, but so kind and informative throughout the process and made me feel so at ease. She gave me advice on my daily activities and how they impact my body and it was a wonderful experience. I was also curious to try a Float Session which I did and enjoyed. I ended up booking an additional session with Natasha and tried to book a final one before leaving but she was unavailable on my schedule. I'm not a huge 'spa' type of person, but could easily become one if this was in my home town. Highly recommend and don't hesitate to do something good for yourself.

I went into the float tanks and then a massage afterwards. Very clear instructions on what to expect and what to do were told by the employee and the rules were posted on the wall as well. You have the float tank room to yourself for privacy. They provided body wash, shampoo and conditioner to get all the salt off. They even provided a robe and flip flops. The floating tank was so relaxing that I think I fell asleep! I could barely tell that I was in water after I settled in! It was a nice experience and would recommend it. After I washed up, I went to another room to get my massage. The massage lady was very comforting and is very good and what she does. I was very relaxed at the end of it. I would get a massage here again!

This was my first float but it was everything I wanted it to be and I'm going back soon! I floated on a Sunday for $35, and it was an hour float. I was given instructions when I got there, showered, floated for an hour, and then re-showered. The experience was incredible and relaxing, and before I got next I want to read some tips on how to relax more and or get deeper Into a problem solving mindset! Also, my skin felt amazing after! The yoga is taught by a great and diverse staff, and I think they have some of the best prices in town. The space is cool/industrial/welcoming and is unlike most studios I've seen. I think I've found a good home that I can afford to practice at casually, hoping to grow it into more than that!

Wish I could give Brad & Celina 10 stars. Transcend is an amazing place and the services offered are excellent. If you’re looking to explore wellness and vitality routines, this place is a great start. The “Fire and Ice” sessions have become a staple of my routine, and truly work wonders for recovery. 6 weeks ago I twisted my ankle descending a mountain and this therapy has sped up my recovery at a tremendously quick pace. On top of offering a variety of services, Transcend has become a home-like environment. Both Brad and Celina are excellent communicators and really care for their clientele. If you want to add to your regiment and expect A+++ — come to Transcend!

I came in for a facial with Denise and I am MORE than satisfied!! The results were better than I've ever noticed on any facial before, and all the products are organic fruit and plant based which I love. Denise took such good care of me and I can't wait to see her again and bring all my loved ones to visit her aswell!! I'm looking forward to trying her other services such as the sound bath and shirodarah. I've also enjoyed a blissful float that left me feeling energized and a couple sauna session that left us both feeling amazing!! Highly recommend this place for all your self care needs!! I love love love coming here for self care. As a licensed massage therapist and Esthetician I spend long hours on my feet serving others. I find it very important to take time out for self recovery. Any time I have ever visited my experience is always pleasant and I leave feeling like a new person. The float experience as well as the sauna/cold plunge sessions always leave me feeling euphoric. I sleep like a baby after every session. I always refer all of my clients to coming and booking a wellness session for themselves and will continue to do so. I adore Denise!!! She does soundbaths and facials for the spa. We originally met while studying for our 200hr Yoga Teaching certification. I feel so blessed that our paths crossed because she has helped me meditate and calm down my anxiety with her gift of healing others. Please do not hesitate to sign up to do a session with her. She takes into consideration everyone's needs and comfort levels beforehand. This studio is a home away from home to focus on myself and my needs. I’m from out of town and decided to try a yoga class at Transcend; it was a very positive experience! There’s a sort of rustic/industrial feel to the space which I found relaxing and they keep the room at a comfortable temperature (warm to loosen your muscles, but not so much as to be uncomfortable and stuffy). The staff and owners were great; very warm and welcoming. Also the drop in rate is only $10 which is just wow. Overall, this was a great experience at a very affordable price - try it out!

I’ve been going to Transcend for around 2 years for yoga now, and I truly can’t say enough about it. The yoga teachers have all been amazing and helped me discover my love for practicing. The owners, Celina and Brad, are some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. I’ve tried their sauna, massage therapy, chiropractic, and been to many of their events. Transcend has helped me in so many ways and I appreciate them and everything they do for their community.

Had a great visit while doing the cold plunge and the salt bath. The cold plunge was very intense at first but afterward I felt amazing. Great alternative to chryo therapy for people that have had issues with that. The salt bath is an experience that everyone should have. Your body becomes completely weightless and your and your mind is at ease to just drift off and reflect. Salina and Brad were very knowledgeable and their facility is top notch.

I have been coming to Transcend to see Diana for facials for months now! Diana is knowledgeable, friendly, and detail oriented. I have never had an esthetician who has tended to my skin so perfectly. Her space is relaxing, the products she uses are gentle, and I always leave feeling relaxed & refreshed. Transcend is awesome! Great spa for a self care junkie in SA. I’ve floated here a couple of times, I really enjoy the floating experience. Love the location and how close it is to BSY. As someone new to floating they explained the experience thoroughly and have nice, clean amenities. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I gave four stars because there could be clothing hooks and mirrors in the rooms, especially in the float rooms since you take a shower in there.

A friend had recommended I check out Transcend after my half marathon to help ease some of my sore muscles and pain. I tried out the fire & ice combo and absolutely loved it! The staff were very kind, welcoming, and gave very clear direction. My favorite part was the ambience and cleanliness of the rooms. Love this place! I've came to Transcend twice while I was recovering from a leg injury - both times for their Infrared Sauna and Cold Plunges. This spa left me feeling so rejuvenated, relaxed, and overall impressed. The building is beautifully designed and offers amazing services and amenities, as well as a wonderful staff. Transcend is the first and only health spa I’ve been to in San Antonio, and it was such a delightful visit. I did my first ever float therapy session with them and it was … out of the world. Super cute studio near downtown! The yoga space itself is very small and parking was a challenge, but the business offers so many different services! Yoga, massages, facials, sauna, and float therapy. This studio also has some of the best rates for yoga memberships, drop-in rates, etc. I will certainly be coming back!

Wonderful experience! I constantly struggle with shutting off my brain and I also have a lot of sleep problems and a friend suggested floating to me as a way to relax and let go. I absolutely love this place. The prices are reasonable. The staff is always kind and considerate. They have all sorts of services. The only down side is that it isn't sound proofed well, so you hear some noise while trying to relax. Personally, it doesn't bother me, just a heads-up.
