This is a very cool overlook that provides a nice view of the Dallas from the West looking East, you can see the Towers of America building as well as many other skyscrapers. Multiple bridges are visible from here including IH30. From the overlook you can see part of the trinity, and take advantage of the very large sidewalks. Went here on the 4th of July for a view of fireworks , not realizing that this is an overlook of Dallas and they don't shoot off large fireworks in the city lol... There were a lot of people with the same idea. You can see some fireworks to the West but mostly to the South from here.
Great place for the skyline at night on the footbridge. There weren't a lot if shady characters, which is definitely a plus in a park area of a large city. Trinity Grove looks like it has good food options (lots of tacos), but I didn't really know west/south dallas was a thing besides bishop arts, and I had already gotten 10 7-11 tacos for $2. The bridge goes from trinity groves to downtown, but the area of downtown it takes you to is best avoided at night alone. Wander, but be safe. Turn around at bridge is my recommendation for solo.
The Trinity Overlook serves as a neighbor "pocket park" providing access to the Dallas Floodway and the Trinity Skyline Trail. The Overlook has parking spaces for twelve, views of downtown Dallas and of the Margaret McDermott Bridge to the south. Residents of the nearby neighborhoods and business districts can enjoy this special place for hiking, biking, picnics, photography, and casual family outings such as on July 4th.
Coming from downtown there's a bit of road construction detour to get there but not too bad. Nice view of the skyline but may be more fun at dusk or dawn into the evening with city lights as there's NO real shade for picnicking or such... pics are from my visit today close to 5pm. Parking is on the street and is somewhat limited but there is a one hour limit so hopefully shouldn't be too bad at any given point.
This is a great place to both get those steps in because you either want to review and consider things that are weighing on your mind or to get those steps for the simple benefit of your health. It's doesn't seem overly crowded. Is at a perfect jumping off point for activities after leaving the park. And, gives more than one trail option. Plus it's has different vantage points of the Dallas skyline.
The parking area right outside is not actually accessible as of Sep./Oct. 2018. Its is blocked off by concrete barricades, making it nearly impossible to access without walking from a nearby neighborhood (which also dont have public parking available). The fact that its closed to public parking is not provided on any of the various websites claiming to provide information on the park.
This is a wonderful place to view the Dallas skyline and Trinity River. Modern upgrades and development in the surrounding area, makes this an exciting place to watch. Great photo opportunities here. Parking is easy during the week, on weekends it can get very crowded so plan ahead. Highly recommended.
Good place to check out the Dallas skyline and the two iconic bridges leading into the city. Great place for morning jogging and dog walking, given amount of broken beer bottles not sure I would hang out a lot at night. Some parking but be attentive getting to the road near it or you may miss it.
The park is a great place to view the river and go for a walk. Best times to go are during the wet season so the river path is full. Except when the river is at flood stage it's nice. As for the view, it's okay. Not the best view of downtown and at night it's too far.
The view is inspiring with open space and skyscrapers in a distance. The location is between two major bridges and there are bike paths and jogging track along Trinity River. Limited parking is available. Be watchful for the unexpected turn from the major road.
This is one of the most popular spots to enjoy the Dallas skyline. Parking is available in a lot nearby, but most of it is limited to one hour parking. I'm not sure if it's strictly enforced, but be aware before going. There isn't any other
I stopped off for a rest but also to take some photos from the early morning hours. It's a great place to view surrounding areas due to its proximity to the hill. You can see traffic from both directions as you cross the street if your care
Great place to go running and cycling, especially early in the morning. Though I will advise ladies that go alone to keep your wits about you because this area is known to have some homeless people around it. I have only gone with friends
Great view of the Dallas skyline. There are a few other places with great eyelines, but they aren’t as easy to get to or there’s no where to park. This is a designated spot where you can just chill. It’s got little platforms perfect for
We tried to go here but it only has 12 PARKING SPACES which isn't readily advertised. I only found out because we couldn't find parking and there isn't anywhere to turn around so you have to turn onto the bridge and then make a u-turn
Very scenic spot to see Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and the city skyline during sunset. Parking is limited, but free for a time limit. You can get some good exercise walking around the walkway. FYI there are no nearby restrooms.
This was fun. It's a nice place to go and just chill on a Sunday afternoon. I was blessed to go on a day where the weather was perfect which to me attributed to the calm peaceful atmosphere.
I love this trail! It’s my go to when I’m bored and have nothing planned. You can always catch other individuals there. Whether you visit during the day or at night, it’s always a vibe!
Beautiful scenic view of the D-Town downtown Mist visit overlook. Drive slowly around the corner and nearby the signal. Place is tricky in Google maps and Apple Maps. …
Have been looking for good spot for dallas skyline view. Finally found this one , glad that its open 24 hours. You can just park your car and have some quality time ..
good place to view the city or to fish, can be sketchy at times wouldnt be there alone past dark and dont be near the river when it rains because it will flood fast.
For thousands of years, birds have migrated through the state of Texas, an example here is that only the Bank of America building is illuminated❤️ …
very nice and calm place for jogging walking at evening time and can be enjoy the view of Dallas downtown city , the river water is muddy …
Best place to view the Skyline of Dallas. The best time to visit this place is in the morning during Sunrise. Great park for morning run too.
It's such a wonderful view of iconic Dallas architecture. Only downside - glass galore in the parking/ walking areas - extra caution.
Great view of the skyline, I've never had a problem finding a place to park. Really enjoyed sitting here on my lunch break
Nice view of the city and if you need to take a break and get away from everybody
Dog-friendliness
Bag your poop
Great view of Dallas skyline especially at night worth the stop if traveling or even just for a fun night out
Great place for biking and running, the after sunset view is amazing because of the downtown lights
You'll get these amazing views... but it's not a place you can stay for more than 10 minutes.
Wonderful view of some of the skyline of Dallas. Great trails. Not enough parking though.
A very lovely overlook park. Limited street parking available here. There is a trail too.
It’s an okay park. Perfect for photographers if you’re willing to walk to certain spots
Nice place to chill on a weekend night. Safe enough to be there all night really.
