I have been with True180 over 5 years since they opened in Charlotte. By far the best workout company/ team I’ve ever been with (and that is over 4 decades). The owners and trainers are so knowledgeable about everything “workout”. I have not missed a workout in over 2 years due to True 180 having a lot of time slots all day long and the flexibility they build into the schedule. I’m so much stronger and flexible because of these workouts. Their are no gimmicks with these workouts. Their knowledge base on strength training and cardio is excellent. You get individualized workouts specific to your workout level and a full hour workout in every session. The trainers show you the correct form and posture for every exercise you do. If you are looking to lose some weight they are upfront about the need to consume less calories than you expend - 80% is what you eat and 20% working out. It basically comes down to consistency with your workouts and eating a diet (healthy if you can) that has less calories in it than you are expending each day. This best part is the people - the owners and trainers and the clients. I have so many friends at True 180 after having been there for over 5 years. Several are some of my dearest friends today. And we get so much encouragement and feedback from each other and the trainers. They share articles and answer our workout and diet questions among all members almost every week. And I never feel guilty when I mess up on eating, which I do a little too much. They don’t harp on it, they just help me get back on track. It is huge for me to have them in my court. You should try it - you will love it. It is just a really fun atmosphere with lots of laughter and good will. Over time you will find you can’t do without it. I am still working out with people I joined with 5 years ago. It is amazing how many people stick with this program. It’s a testament to True 180.
Great Experience! LOVE the results!! September 2020 rolled around...and so did I! All those months of staying at home had made me "squishy"! I hadn't gained weight but I had lost a lot of muscle. The loss was really noticeable going up stairs, carrying laundry, taking a quick walk around the block, and the way my clothes were NOT fitting! Facebook kept posting True 180 on my page. Finally, I decided to give them a call and I am so happy I did. The studio is very well organized with procedures in place to address COVID concerns and keep everyone healthy. Zoom is also available if you aren't comfortable with being in the studio. Whichever way you choose to attend, it is SO worth it!! 4 months in and I've lost weight, inches and 4.1% body fat!! That is muscle being built! What can you expect? Great trainers! First, a warm up that really makes you feel great! Then your trainer assigns you a personalized workout which changes every day! When they say they meet you where you are, they mean it! Every women's workout is adjusted to match their ability, injuries, and equipment(at home). They also keep increasing how challenging the workout is. Sneaky...and then, you are stronger and more fit than you ever thought possible!! I've worked with a personal trainer for almost 30 years. My experience, and, more importantly, my RESULTS with True 180 Personal Training for Women have been the best! I am feeling better and stronger than ever!! Come on out and join us! Updated January, 2023: I joined True 180 nearly 6 months ago with the goal to lose 30-35 pounds by March. I lost 31 pounds in 5 months, and gained muscle mass and strength. I plan to lose another 10 pounds in the coming months. The owners and coaches at True 180 have not only been supportive in the gym with encouragement and personalized workouts, but also outside of the gym with meal plans, tips for getting through the holidays, and tons of guidance in meeting my goals and cheering for me along the way. I'm so glad I took the first step of walking through the door and making the decision to better my health. Original post, September, 2022: I have been a member for 8 weeks and am very happy with True 180 Personal Training for Women. I have had health issues recently and have been unable to do much more than walk for the past 3 years, causing weakness and weight gain. I set up an appointment to see if this would be a good fit for me, and now I have no idea who would not be a good fit. The coaches are very accommodating, and every woman's workout is tailored to their fitness level and medical limitations. I was given guidelines for eating as well as activity level. In 8 weeks, I've lost 12 of the 30-35 pounds I need to lose. I've gained strength, mobility, balance, and lean muscle mass, and lost pounds and fat. I am so glad that I took the first step to better health.
I just moved to North Carolina about 4 months ago and was looking for a fitness community. I am a work-from-home mom with a 10 year old son, wanted something close to the house while providing me fitness 101. When I saw the sign for this place, I thought "this is too good to be true. A place just for women?" I quickly learned this is exactly everything I wanted and needed. Prior to having my son, I was in good shape. With work, life and a pandemic, I let everything go. This place, this community, the people, the trainers....I could not have hoped for anything better. I work out there twice a week, Gregory is AMAZING!!! Blasting awesome music with a small group of women, learning what this workout does for which muscle, while adjusting workouts based on the person, it is really all that I have wanted and more. Gregory is THE man! This is the only place that is truly a no-judgment zone. I have never felt more welcome, and my muscles are starting to thank me for trying. Natillie is extremely communicative and responds right away to your questions and comments. Josef is wonderful and love how he dresses up for Halloween, makes the workout days funny. I am so thankful I found this place, less than a mile from my house, that is exactly what my heart and body needed.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the team at True180. I was at a point where I decided I wanted to get in better shape and after researching several local gyms, I decided to give True180 a shot. I am so very glad I did! They offer a body composition and analysis that helps you understand "where you are today" so you can start improving. There is no pressure and the focus is truly on just improving little by little, step by step, one day at a time. I was immediately impressed by their dedication to a clean and Covid-safe environment. We wear masks, take your temperature when entering, have shoe cleaning mats, wash hands, wipe down equipment, have your own personal and outlined space to workout in, etc - it really is very comforting for those of us who are very Covid-aware! The trainers are personable and care about you. The small studio is perfect for individual attention, and while everyone is doing the "same" workout, each exercise is tweaked to your own personal abilities on that day, based on where you are in your journey.
True180 is a fantastic community with excellent coaches and equipment! It is more than just a gym, as they offer challenges to help you stay accountable with your habits outside the gym (like getting your steps in, eating enough protein, etc). I have worked out at True 180 consistently for almost two years. I enjoy the workouts and put in more effort than I would on my own. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and make sure you use proper form and stay safe. I started at T180 with a bad knee due to an injury at another gym. They made sure that my warm-ups and workouts strengthened my knee and helped it to heal. I am very grateful that I am stronger and almost never experience knee pain or mobility issues anymore. I highly recommend this gym if you’re a woman who wants to get fit and improve your health!
What a wonderful experience at True 180 Personal Training for Women. It was just what I needed. The personal touch and push to do what was good for me was right on time. Greg and Josef are great motivators. They even leave encouraging remarks on my cell after each session. Their goal is to bring good health to all woman. The variety of members is awesome ( there’s a place for you). The regular reminders help me also. I feel stronger and more in control of my overall health. It’s truly a no judgement zone as an all women program. We bond with one another, share experiences and build lasting relationships. This is a win for me and I’m sure it’ll be for you as well. Josef, Gregory and Natillie run a great gym! They are committed to helping you be successful, attentive to accommodations needed, and "push" you just enough. Do you need trainers who meet you where you are? Or pick you up when you "fall off the wagon?" And the creativity they've shown during 2020 is incredible. My workouts are via ZOOM now and just as challenging as being in the studio. I love not having to think about what I'm going to do; no workout is ever the same (which means I don't get bored). All the women who train there also encourage each other at the sessions. I highly recommend True 180 in Ballantyne! Do this for yourself now!
I tried 3 or 4 other places before seeing an ad for True 180. I wasn’t sure whether or not to believe the no pressure enrollment or that the discounted Spark program would be an all in, hands on like I’m a member experience. But it was that and more! Truly a no pressure environment for any specials they run. And truly a full member experience from the beginning. I’ve been a member for 2 years and have kept the weight off, muscle on, made some friends, and in my opinion learned that fitness and maintaining weight is really pretty dang simple! They don’t make it complicated and meet you where you are each and every day! Love love love!
This gym has been a godsend to my mind and body. I haven't enjoyed working out this much in a long time. Josef and Greg are friendly and knowledgeable trainers that help each woman become a stronger, better version of themselves, without being pushy. They're very good about working around injuries and working towards preventing injuries. This is a great option for someone that's serious about getting and staying healthy in a non-intimidating setting. The workouts are not as crazy as a Cross Fit or Boot camp workout, but they are full body work outs that vary each day while building strength from the ground up.
True 180 has changed my life. I recently moved to NC and wanted to get back into a fitness routine and knew I needed help with accountability. I tried other group workout programs in the area but was missing 1:1 coaching. I heard about True 180 and thought I would give it a try. I’m so glad I did. I love the coaches; the personal attention and guidance to modify certain exercises ensure you are getting a challenging and safe workout. They have become so important to me that as I’m house shopping it has to be in close proximity of True 180 because I’m not going to workout anywhere else!
I have many times used Type I diabetes as an excuse not to exercise as fluctuating numbers were frustrating. Coupled with past and current shoulder issues and much job-related travel completing the picture that had me over 30-40 lbs overweight making it difficult to do things which were always easier when I was younger. Working with Josef and Greg at True 180 has shown me how to safely work out and adapt. While I do have setbacks on occasion I have lost 25 lbs and am stronger than I’ve ever been. I love joining friends in my age group for workouts and am proud of my accomplishments.
The coaches are energetic, they develop personal training plans and are committed to YOUR success! They take the time at each visit to check how you feel and will modify, if needed, while still giving you a good challenge! I can't say enough things about my positive experience with True 180. I've been working out with them for quite some time and enjoy Greg, Josef and Natilli! I also met new friends albeit virtual, we work together and support one another. Just a fun place where you can workout with professional trainers whether in studio or virtual and also make new friends!
I started working out with True 180 Personal Training for Women in September 2023. I've enjoyed the personalized workouts, the direct feedback from the coaches and the positive energy in the gym. I have received very important feedback on diet to help me increase my protein intake. My goal is to not only maintain but improve my fitness. Although not a primary goal, I've benefitted from some weight loss, too. I highly recommend this gym especially if you are seeking a more personalized coaching experience.
I’ve tried different gym/training experiences over the years. True 180 is far and away the best of the best. It’s one on one coaching in a small and friendly group setting with a fun focus on accountability. The exercises vary from session to session and are individually tailored to meet you where you are at while pushing you toward the next level. It’s an investment – I knew that when I signed up. The bonus has been discovering how much Josef and Natallie and Gregory continue to invest in their members.
I am a 32 yo female and joined to help with some post baby weight and overall health routine. The training at 180 has surpassed my expectations! I love the style of personal training they have setup and you can be as dedicated to your health as you want. They have SO many times to select from (AM/PM) , are so knowledgeable on how to switch up an exercise if you're struggling with an injury or need a modification. Very positive and very encouraging. Love being about of the True 180 Team!
Love love love this gym! I’m 40 and knew it was time to start building some muscle mass and not just rely on cardio. They met me where I was athletically and now I am stronger and more toned than ever! I train 3 days a week with Greg and Josef and am well on my way to looking and feeling my best self. True180 is a new and favorite staple in my fitness journey and I love that I can make my own appointments (and change them if I need to) on the app AND can train in the gym or at home!
The team at True 180 are fantastic. I searched for a studio which focused on women’s health and fitness and one that would challenge and inspire me with each workout session. True 180 does all of this and more. Gregory and Josef provide me with sincere care and expertise with each individualized session. In five months I have become stronger and more tone. I joined True 180 in February, and I have loved every minute of it! From the very beginning, the trainers pushed me in a very encouraging way to challenge myself and keep working hard. I have definitely become stronger. It's fun to think back 10 months to what was so challenging has now become easier for me - even with heavier weights! The small group setting of women only creates a really safe, non-judgmental, and encouraging environment. I highly recommend True 180!
From day 1, I felt welcomed and equipped to start my fitness journey. Prior to joining True 180, I never stuck with any type of work out and I didn’t care about what I ate. I’ve been at True 180 for a little over 6 months and I’m blown away at the results. But more than that, I feel significantly stronger, healthier, and it’s a workout I look forward to. I love True 180 Personal Training. They meet each of their clients where they are in the fitness journey. If at any point I feel I can push myself harder Josef and Gregory are there to make it happen in a safe way. The atmosphere is fun, warm and inviting and it makes me happy to be there--even very early in the morning!

You can't know how much fun or what good quality the workout is with personal training at True 180 unless you EXPERIENCE it. You must try it. Reading about True 180 is like reading how to ski. You have to do it to appreciate the quality of the experience.
