Great website and tracking, took Google pay, had a chat box, fast delivery and food was excellent. Veggies seemed extremely fresh. They had a huge Vegetarian/vegan/gf menu section with very clear labeling. Love the no Tipping policy and free delivery. We actually do not eat out since places pay their employees trash and rely on tips so this was a treat for us. This place represents how others need to adapt to the changing social environment. 4/30/23: Dang, I hate when a great place starts to dip in quality. Last order was awful. I always get the tofu drunken noodles and apparently they changed the noodles at some point. They are now awful, hard/break apart, and hold no sauce. The dish was just spicy and oily and I couldn't even find any Thai basil. Tofu and vegetables were horrible under cooked. I srsly thought I got the wrong dish but was informed "you can see the noodles change in the picture on the site". Honestly who is going to notice that? I threw half out because it was dripping in neutral cold oil and than ended up throwing up the rest. Their solution was to give me $15 on my account like I want to come back after that. Additionally, the rice we got was def old and hard. My spouse's dish was subpar and disappointing according to them. So either they have a new cook that no one is quality checking on or they've just stopped caring about the product they put out. Disappointment. (also the time before this they sent beef drunken noodles to my work and I had to wait another hour for them to bring the tofu version which at that time was still good. Considering this was a diff location though, seems like whole place is slippin)

Update: Customer service reached out to me about my experience and were professional about it. I made a second order with pot stickers, green beans, and Sichuan beef, and it was much improved. I’m confused about why my first order was so bad. I wouldn’t say this is my favorite place but it was decent on my second try. Updating to 3 stars. Original: This is the worst Chinese restaurant I've ordered from in Austin, and I've ordered from probably half a dozen really bad ones. I used to live in Chinatown in Chicago, so I was spoiled with dozens of good-to-great Chinese restaurants within walking distance. Austin does not have the same selection and I've eaten at several pretty bad Chinese restaurants here. I've also ordered from some really great ones that I like a lot. Sichuan River, House of Three Gorges, Old Thousand, Wu Chow, etc. Great stuff. I ordered the shrimp lo mein and salt and pepper tofu, and can confidently say PANDA EXPRESS IS WAY BETTER THAN THIS PLACE. Lo mein was immensely greasy, ketchup-like texture and flavor. Tofu fried hard like a hockey puck. Nothing had flavor and everything needed salt + soy sauce. Price point isn't great either, unless you're getting delivery (it's included in price). Again, I'd rather eat at Panda Express and it's not even close. Shocked at the positive reviews here, they look very sus and bot-like.

I’ve ordered from here multiple times, and so far so good! Normally when I order from the same spot again and again you start picking up flaws, but I haven’t. TSO has a small menu, that just means they’re focusing on good/constant flavor. My favorite dishes are the drunken noodles, and the honey walnut shrimp. If you like shrimp order the honey walnut, it has chunks of walnuts, juicy fried shrimp , and a delicious sweet milky gravy sauce over it. I was stunned when I had it. Now the portions are perfect, they don’t skimp you from anything, my plate had over ten pieces of shrimp in that order. Last but not least the service. The delivery service is fast, and efficient. If they can’t reach you thru your phone they’ll send a picture letting you know your food is at your door step. Moving to Austin from NY I noticed that most places or even Flavor take a really long time to deliver your food but TSO is quick and your food is hot when it gets there. Overall I’m very pleased with the food and service please keep it up, I’m not one to order from any spot. I normally cook everyday, so I gotta say your food does justice.

I just worked a 12hr day where it really seemed like my colleagues felt like doing nothing and I had to shoulder more of the load. I planned on getting home, showering, and cooking dinner before heading to bed (exciting night, I know). While sitting in austin traffic though, I had a sudden urge - Salt & Pepper shrimp. I ordered while sitting at the light. As I turned on my street, I saw the Tsos delivery car… “No way!?” I thought as I checked the clock; it had only been 10 mins. Despite my mouth watering disappointment, let me tell you, nothing feels better than a cool shower after being outside in +100 degree heat. Almost nothing. The messaging jingle was more like a dinner bell and I have no shame in admitting I quickly grabbed the food off porch while fully naked. Tsos is THAT good. Convenient, quick, and super tasty. First of all this experience is in no way related to their food. We rang up at 6.50 to place a delivery order on a Sunday night. We waited patiently - 45 minutes no delivery, 1hr no delivery, 1hr 15 minutes no delivery. We call them 15 minutes later and got told that our order would be picked up in 15 minutes and delivered shortly after. We rang 15 minutes later to make sure and our order was picked up, but it was only just being cooked (90 to 105 minutes after ordering). I picked it up from a place called TSO Chinese Delivery. All they had to do was say we can't deliver it. Tried reaching out to CS - won't even respond to a factual account of the night. Very rarely do I give 1 stars to a business - but this one deserves it. Never go back

Ok so to be clear, I actually really like this place. Flavoring is great, people are always so friendly. And then my kid was diagnosed Celiac. At first we were relieved to learn Tso offers many of their entrees to be prepared gluten-free. Then (as we learned more about gluten allergies), we realized that to be truly gluten-free, items need to be cooked in a separate fryer, which Tso does not do. Not sure the point of even offering items to be made "gluten-free" in the first place if there's no separate fryer (items cooked in the same oil are still coated with gluten from everything else that's cooked in there). Really really really hoping that they start doing this one day so we can come back. :(

I love this place. The food is great, straightforward “Chinese Night” food, but it’s always fresh and delicious… My three big things that I think set it apart: 1. There site is a joy to order from 2. There communication about how far along your order is, is best of class for tracking. 3. It is such a joy to order from a place that is paying workers enough to make their jobs worthwhile. The ethics of the gig economy are tiresome. I just want to know how much is it going to cost to have a particular item delivered. I don’t want to have to weigh the compensation structures of food delivery folks and try and figure out if I should overpay because I’ve ordered from a billion dollar corporation with shoddy labor practices. Ordering from Tso feels light.

Terrible experience. I ordered the black pepper beef and typed in the notes at the end of my putting payment info in that I didn’t want mushroom in all caps (as I am allergic). And what happens I get mushrooms in my food. There’s no way to modify the order with specific instructions. I did the chat online and they told me they don’t accommodate specific modifications on items. Well if that’s the case it should say that on the website and under every time because it doesn’t say anything about that. Also I should have received a phone call stating this and I would have ordered something else or asked to get a refund. So basically I wasted $23. And the beef container is full of grease! Such a shame ad I had high expectations for this place.

If you want hot, fresh food via delivery, don't order from here. Orange chicken was deep fried sogginess. Nary a crispy bite in the entire entree. What's worse, it was over cooked and soggy. The chicken was dry, the breading was soggy and then they just tossed this fried matter in some sauce. When it says it may be 80 minutes until you get your order, expect that. There is a nice little app that keeps you up to date on your order; my food was delivered 50 minutes after it was 'packed', which means it sat for at least that long before I got it. Be warned...... I hope your expectations are low. While the communication was awesome, the food just wasn't.

Always hot, fresh, and tasty! And the website is great. We love the drunken noodles, Hunan tofu, egg rolls, and pot stickers. You can swap proteins for tofu, and make (most?) things gluten free. This is high quality comfort food, not an authentic Chinese meal, and it's great for what it is. We love their no tipping policy. It takes a bit of getting used to, because the prices look high to the untrained eye. The total bill feels fair, with no surprise costs. And not having to decide how much to tip the delivery person is honestly a relief for both of us.

I was throwing a graduation party for 17 people in Austin on 3/25/22, the day we flew in from California. Used Tso Delivery super easy to understand ordering platform particularly since many guests had dietary restrictions. Jenna helped me with the menu selections. At precisely the right time, the wonderful delivery guy showed up with everything perfectly prepared and help me set it up. Nothing was missing, extra serving utensils were included and the packaging was perfect and not excessive, and the food was hot. Everyone loved the food, Esp the veggie egg rolls and the orange chicken and drunken noodles. Even had fortune cookies. Super low stress and the fraction of cost of catering. THANK you Tso, Delivery, we are fans!

Tso has great food and large servings so the value is there. The only reason for 3 stars instead of 5 is for their false advertising of gluten free menu items. Tso does not have gluten free items as they use shared fryers. My partner is celiac and has gotten sick ever time they've tried the general tso tofu with steamed rice (4 times). Although they claim it's almost worth the sickness because the tofu is fried and flavored perfectly, buyer beware if you're celiac. My suggestion is to add a note on the website prior to ordering the gluten free option to let celiac customers know about the shared fryers. 5 out of 5 rating if you're not celiac.

My favorite Chinese food in Austin, by a long shot. I never would have tried it if it wasn't for their free delivery during the pandemic. I am so glad I did. Not only were they super safety compliant, the food really exceeded my expectations. I guess I thought it was going to be lower quality, chain type of food. I don't know why I assumed that. I was wrong! It is always REALLY fresh and delicious. My favorite dish is the Honey Walnut Shrimp and I always order the Crab Wontons and Goyza. Perfect balance of sweet and savory. Ordering again tonight, craving it as I type. Give these nice and talented people a try.

The food was well-prepared. It wasn't clear from the online menu that the Eggplant Chicken has hot peppers and is spicy. I had to go back because I was disappointed to find them in the dish, and the spicy sign only pops up when you go to "customize order". The delicious sesame balls helped to soak up some of the heat. Ordered at 6:50. According to the tracker, the food started cooking at 8:20 and was delivered by 8:35. (outside estimate of delivery was 8:30). I'm visiting here but generally expect a Chinese food delivery order to be quicker than that.

Very Strange food experience. Looks like it was factory produced and packed and shipped to locations. Possibly previously frozen. When you walk in its a counter and 3 chairs. She pressed a button and the food came out. No cooks, No kitchen, No flavor. Very bland and almost looks fake. Very strange altogether. I don’t think Ill be ordering again. 1st time trying Tso and I will definitely order again. I read reviews about the sesame balls and those people did not lie. Light with some crisp and absolutely delicious. Hot and sour soup had that slow burn that I love. Potstickers were garlicky and delicious too. Sadly I filled up on appetizers and have not tried the chicken lo mein or fried rice. Delivery is great in terms of tameness. However, as foodie and food blogger, the taste of the food is absolutely poor and inauthentic. It tastes as if they dipped the meat in a lot of fish sauce. There is absolutely no taste of food but rather taste of sauces and a lot of salt. The meat is also very dry and not juicy at all. One of the plates was over spicy and salty. Beware, NOT Fresh. I do not blame the cooks, which are probably a lot of Hispanics, but I do blame the ingredients and quality of food.

Yum! Really good Chinese delivery I always order sesame / general tso / orange chicken and green beans!!! So delicious. Just love it. This chicken goes with steamed rice. Why is hunan sauce just a pool of orange grease with red pepper flakes? It also spilled everywhere inside the bag… The lid remained on, but the grease spilled out. I ate most of it anyway because I was waiting all day to eat, and sure enough, I did not feel well almost immediately. Even the day after my heart is still pounding from how much grease I consumed. I don’t know why I chose to eat this dehumanizing amount of grease lol. I gave them a second chance but I will not order from here again.

Tso is a fantastic organization and good food service. Classic American Chinese and very solid tasting dishes. Terrific ethical work philosophy that I wish everyone would adopt. I will never not support living wages and appreciate Tso for doing so.

Took a take out from this place when we went on a trip to Austin. Delicious food. Ample portion. Easy to order and quick delivery. We loved the main course orders.. but the appetizer was just ok and soup was salty. But overall we loved it and took a take out the next day as well. We customized our order and was very satisfied. The staffs are very friendly and looking forward to adding more options to their menu. Will definitely recommend this to a friend.

I love the fact that they have free delivery, are so quick, durable packaging, and have great, fresh presentation. I really want to 100% love this place, but the food had everything, but enough salt cooked into it. And this is the type of cuisine you want seasoned well during the cooking process because you really can't help bring the flavor to the correct level you want after the fact. On a very rainy day we decided to order delivery for our lunch at the office. While looking for local places I came around to this restaurant and delivery. Although it take a bit to get delivered (again it was very rainy out,) the food was delivered perfectly packaged and warm. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp and could not have been more pleased. This is definitely a place I would recommend and plan to use again.

I absolutely love tso! It's absolutely great Chinese food but more importantly I love their egg drop soup! The bowl is easily three servings for myself and I love absolutely love their fried noodles that go with the egg drop soup! The only thing I would change is their drink options for being in Texas there's no sweet tea or dessert. Other than that it's perfectly great and one of my favorite Chinese food places.

This place doesn't accept money for what they sell. I don't know if the food is any good or not because apparently you must be an exclusive member of these conglomerate's and their banking institution whom all must know when, where and what I'm eating. One dish is about $20 that you must pay for by a credit card. So if u don't have a bank account or prefer to use cash they don't want your business.

Fresh and tasty. We got two vegetarian dishes. The tofu was fresh and so were the veggies. If they the dishes had just a little more garlic or stronger seasoning, I would have given 5 stars. The delivery guy was fast. Over all thumbs up!

Delivery in just about an hour, which is great on a Friday night & great communication from our driver. Wow. Just wow. Food was everything I wanted and more. Fresh, LARGE pieces of shrimp for my shrimp fried rice that had no black vein of poop. Beef for both the beef with broccoli and beijing beef is tender, thick and juicy. The vegetables were generous and delicious. I had absolutely no hope that the food was going to be good. Amazing. I will be back.

I have been enjoying Tso’s since 2020, but I broke my leg last week and they have been a lifesaver for getting fresh, hot food delivered to my door without all the overpriced delivery fee of other services. And the vegetarian options are amazing!

Such great food, everything was delicious and had a lot of great veggie options. The ordering process was easy and the delivery was on time. I was able to track my order so I knew when they were going to arrive. The delivery was contactless and I appreciated that the driver waited to make sure we got our food. Definitely will order again!

Food was great but they didn't give us any silverware even though we asked while picking up the food. They told us it was in the bag but there was none inside.

General Tso Chicken was pretty gross - The breading made the overall texture pretty soggy. Soggy chicken is not enjoyable for me. Beef lo mein was okay. No out of the ordinary flavors. Great for takeout Chinese. Price was a bit high. Service was great.

Even though I had instructions to deliver they went to the wrong house it happens more times than not when we order. I got the tofu general Tso dish and I have to say it is good but they really skimped on the veggies and I thought it had carrots but it was mainly tofu in sauce. I appreciate this place but they could do better.

Ordered sesame chicken and it was not good at all. Placed order and less than 10 min later it was already being delivered how fast could they have made this food but makes sense since its really bad. No lunch for me since I only take 30 min can’t go grab something else

Orders are always fast and the food is always hot! I have never had something that I didn’t like. They have a no tipping policy and they clearly take care of their employees. I highly recommend trying this place! Update: May 23, 2022: Ordered again, everything was hot and fresh. Exactly what I expected! Great portions too!

Solid Chinese food..had the Chinese broccoli, green beans, and drunken beef along with crab rangoons. Best crab rangoons I've had! Egg drop soup was also delicious. Delivery was super fast, food was hot upon arrival..highly recommend this place!

Spring roll was nice and crispy on the outside, but taste like mush on the inside not the traditional nice crispy, cabbage and carrots on the inside…fried rice was ok beef and chicken needed to be crisped a lil more before added to the rice

This is the best Chinese delivery in Austin! Great food and great service. They actually care about flavor and quality as well as the quality of their delivery drivers. Outstanding! Will continue to order from them again and again. Takes a bit longer than other services but we’ll worth the extra 15-20mins.

Impressed with the sites ease of use. Love the play by play and the ability to edit the order until it starts cooking. The food was exactly what I ordered and very tasty. Love this place. It's your typical Chinese American menu. But the service and speed of delivery is superb. The no tipping concept, like Black Star Coop, is perfect. No guessing percentages and or wondering what you should tip. Do them a favor and write them a review here and Yelp and spread the word.

Great delivery, on time and the food was still hot. The sesame chicken was much sweeter than I expected, but it was delicious and not over-breaded or fried within an inch of its life. High quality ingredients, veggies were not limp or overcooked. Will definitely order from here again!

We have been eating at TSO for about 3 years. The prices has changed and are pricey. With that being said their service and their food is well worth it. We have never had an issue with them. The only problem we have ever had is that we can't eat have them as much as we would like!

I highly recommend eating here! However, if your favorite Chinese food is a buffet, you may not appreciate the glorious flavors and spices here;) Also the best hot & sour soup I’ve ever put in my mouth.

Best Chinese food I've had since moving to Austin 8 yrs ago. Quality ingredients. Generous portions. Vegan dishes. Healthy I like the pricing. Delivery was promised within 80 minutes. Arrived much earlier. You get texts re: when it's cooking, heading to you etc. Will order again.

After a day in the sun watching football. We went back to our hotel and couldn’t see ourselves going to get food. We ordered Tso. Our food came hot and well packaged. They have a no delivery or tipping fee policy; however, with service this good, I felt bad not tipping. More

Food was hot and delivered fast. One plate was enough for two people. Everything was delicious. Drunken beef is spicy. Mixed fried rice was terrific. Veggie spring rolls were good too. However, the fortune cookies didn't have fortunes in them. That was a bummer.

Many of the menu items are gluten free or have the option of being made gluten free. We placed a order for delivery and the service was very fast. The quantities were large enough to share or save for more than one meal. We will definitely order from Tso again!

Good food… easy with delivery. Efficient and delicious! Delivery may take a while but I made a mistake on the delivery address and they called and found me anyway. Thank goodness!

This little know location is amazing. The food is wonderful, they have a no tip policy and free deliveries. It's a bit pricy but well worth it. They have a large menu which caters to all types, including vegetarians. Don't miss out and give them a try!

The delivery time wasn't too bad and we liked that the taxes, tip and delivery fee were all inclusive. The food was nothing spectacular but not bad either. The only thing that really put us off was the amount of grease in the food. As shown below.
