By far the Best Indian Restaurant in Victoria. Every dish has it's own unique flavour. The use of the spices is excellent. Friendly Staff and great laid back atmosphere.

Disgusting service. Before placing our order we asked if there were any nuts or seafood in the food and we were told no. We ordered butter chicken and my friend had an allergic reaction. We called the restaurant back and they confirmed cashews to be in the butter chicken. The staff member on the phone was arguing with my friend about whether we asked or not. This is disgusting behaviour. My friend could have died. No apology. I will never buy here again or recommend this restaurant to anyone. They could have killed my friend and they weren’t even sorry. So disappointed and angry.
We've just moved to Somerville and were keen to try out Tulsi after a couple of recommendations. It didn't disappoint. The menu options are huge! We are lovers of Indian cuisine and thought our Rogan Josh and Madras Chicken were both authentic, fresh and very well cooked. We had a side of rice and kuchember salsa as well as Raiti. It was all so good and can't wait to return soon (we've already booked). Another highlight was the warm and friendly service from our waitress. We loved her vibe. Her service was exceptional as was her conversation. All In all, Tulsi was worth the hype.
After the recent change of management, Tulsi went from being the best Indian in Victoria to one of the worst. The atmosphere was like a dungeon; only one roller door was kept open, a waiter who looked more interested in the 6pm daily news on the new 70inch plasma than the food he was serving and the new tinted kitchen windows all made for a poor experience. Not to mention the 400 mediocre menu items.

Ordered on the Menulog app over 150$ worth of food. Food never came and no answer after calling the restaurant constantly, in the end drove there to find the shop was closed. How they are allowed to advertise that the shop is open when it is not and even take money for food is a disgrace, extremely unhappy and will never use this restaurant again.

After reading the reviews we expected this restaurant to be great. Boy were we disappointed . We have eaten at plenty of Indian restaurants and this was by far the worst. There was no flavour, way overpriced for the serving size . Either Australians standards have got down hill or they have never eaten authentic Indian before . Will never eat here again which is a shame because we are locals . If there was a minus rating I would put that !
We went for dinner with the family , we were hoping to have a nice dinner as we like Indian food , this place is very poor in service and quality, very over priced , we paid $70 a head , the funny thing and very sad too that we told that we can’t get a container to take our food home , all the food was left not allowed to take it with you , why ?? That is the policy, Very rude for the old man (boss) . This place not recommended at all ,
Slow service, staff sounded and looked down and unhappy. We were the only ones dined in and we were waiting extensively. The naan wasn't even hot, the curries were just really average. My butter chicken sauce was separated with oil and the sauce. Very overpriced and chicken tikka was burnt and chewy. Not happy with the dinner. Would not recommend.

Went there on Sat night with friends. Made to feel really welcome when we arrived with top grade service. We had the banquet meal which usually is quite basic but to our surprise, it was really delicious. Will go back again and again and again. For the meal we got, price is very reasonable.

Never getting food here again! Terrible service over the phone, wasn't informed that one of the meals ordered wasn't on the menu so they just decided to give us something else. Also the nann bread isn't cooked fresh - absolutely disgusting to pay for something that you would expect a restaurant to make fresh. If we had of know this at the time or ordering we definitely would not have spent money at this place.
Amazing food! This restaurant is one of my favourite Indian restaurants that serve genuine Indian dishes. My personal favourite to recommend is the Malai Kofta, the creamy kofta is delicious and is garnished with Indian spices. The staff is nice as well, they recommended their most popular dishes and were very kind in helping us decide. Definitely coming back here with my family!
Not a good experience at all. We were the only ones there, food was disgusting. I didn’t eat anything apart from the bread which was old and overcooked. We used to love it there until the new owners took over. We will never go back there. We didn’t feel like they even wanted us to be there as our waitress was too busy being in the kitchen eating and talking.
I was invited at this place by one of my friend last friday. i live in Gladstone. I try couple of dishes, all are amazing. I wish i could live in this area so i could visit this place more often. Lady there at sevice counter so amazing, she recommended some dishes, they are to good. Keep going Tulsi with your amazing food and service.
GO TO VINI TANDOORI! Slow service. Poor food with no flavour or spice. Was served cold, staff didn't bother serving mains on fresh plates. Ridiculously over priced, total rip off. Calling this slop "Indian Cuisine" is a stretch. Do yourself a favour and cook your chicken tikka in an air fryer. You'll get better results.
This is my favourite Indian restaurant in the world! Literally in the world...I have recently got back from living in London for 6 months where I regularly ate at the curry houses on Brick Lane and Tulsi is still the best I've had. Staff have always been really lovely and attention. Fantastic business, thank you!
Had such a yummy meal. Really nice wine (from owner's vineyard), really good service from a lovely young waitress and it was so nice to be greeted and served by a happy, smiling owner. We've been coming more & more regularly and always enjoy good food. Fast becoming our local fav.
We spent $100 and got the lowest grade of meat available, it was all gristle and chewy. This is the first time I have ever complained publicly about anything. But it’s a total waste of money.

If I could give this restaurant a negative star I would! One of the worst Indian restaurants I have tried. We had heard great reviews from people so we thought we would give it a try.... Never again! Food was so oily and no taste. The garlic naan was just so salty!!
Just got home from another amazing meal at Tulsi, always guaranteed top food, rich flavours, great atmosphere with nice lighting. Add a glass of red wine and you’re in heaven. Perfect spot to go out with friends or as a date night out. Thanks again.
Even though I ordered the food in advance for opening via menulog it took 2 hours and still hadn't arrived and the shop girl hung up on me when I called frustrated. I will never order from here again. So many better restaurants with better service.
Tulsi would be the best Indian Restaurant on the Mornington peninsula, food amazing, wine from Avani best around Melb from a local vineyard and staff very friendly and helpful with food choices and Owner Devendra Singh top guy to enjoy a wine with.
Not sure if they are still in business, but they will still take your money!!! We ordered delivery and it never turned up. We tried to call them over a dozen times and they didn't answer. We lost $100!! Very disappointing!! Do not order from here.
Food is nice, some items missing from my order. Which was disappointing. Salads had way to much onion. And pickled onion salad was just onion with vinegar poured over

I've eaten there many times, but not for some time and the food is nothing less than fantastic still. Also bought one of 'Divendras' (apologies if spelling is incorrect) Wildcroft Shiraz's and it was amazing, great accompmeint for the food.
Barely a two Star. The Beef Madras was chewy and lacked spice. The Lamb Rogan Josh was extremely oily and lacked curry and flavor. Was very disappointed after multiple recommendations. The Naan Bread was Smokey taste. Sorry I wont be back
This restaurant needs to up their game if they’d like to compete with other Indian restaurants in the area. Service was too slow n food was average n food took longest to arrive cold. Serving size was pretty small. Not recommended.
I moved in this area 6 months ago , I try each indian restaurant in this area ( Indian mahal and Vini ) but i love service and food at Tulsi. I love chicken lavabdar and chicken tikka,at this place. I highly recommend this place.
Food average, lamb a little tough, will look elsewhere for Indian food, hopefully a lot better

The coconut prawn curry might likely be the most delicious thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. The garlic tandoori roti is a perfect accompaniment and the food was delivered hot. Can’t fault.
food was amazing as we had dinner there with my family and friends last night lamb was so soft vegetable korma was yumm naan bread very soft if i say in one word that was amazing
Zero stars isn't a option they don't deserve this 1 star. They bullied my sister with a disability and dyslexia. They are abusive people and not a nice place to go.
Beutiful food. Meat was yumny and very tender. You must try this authentic Indian food

Nice food and atmosphere although i found the chairs a bit hard. Reasonable prices ($370 for 10 of us) not big meals but not small either.
A sophisticated taste of india with a modern touch great flavours and great service. Somervilles hidden treasure . A must try venue.....
Best Tikka Masala I've ever had. It was quite busy but still had very good service, welcoming staff and lovely atmosphere …
It's not the best Indian in somerville, the garlic was Naan was cold and dripping in oil Butter chicken was extremely spicy!
Well I heard a lot about this restaurant. I visited once food was really tasty and the staff was really helpful and kind.
Curry was a bit off but naan was amazing.

worst place ive eaten at, very rude customer service everything was too hard and $8 a bottle surcharge if you byo wine.
Even though on this occasion it was only take-away, the food and service are of the highest quality. Highly recommend.
Poor food and service and no real flavours of india, we have had better from a jar at coles. Pity as the room was nice
