I've been using this car wash since I was a kid, washing dad's 4WD with him on weekends. I turned up today with my partner to wash our respective cars. We were the only two cars waiting by the bays, for about 15 minutes. We arrived and I parked up next to him in the widest part of the entrance side so we could chat. Time passes and he rolls in to the available bay. I see that the far left bay appears to be finishing up, so I start to reverse back and move over that way. A woman in a BMW comes flying in the driveway and cuts behind me as I'm reversing. I beep my horn and brake. The woman on duty comes out of the office and asks what happened. I explain that I've been waiting for just over 15 minutes and this woman cut around me. She laughed and said "you are waiting in the middle! Do you have privilege to the whole place?" I said no, it was just my partner and I waiting here and I pointed to him, explaining that we had just parked up next to each other to chat while we waited. She then rudely told me "tough, get over yourself, you do not own the car wash" and laughed. We continued back and forwards, her calling me rude while ironically being the one to yell and scoff at a customer. I said that if there was no queueing system for the self wash bays, then there should be just be signs to say as much. She just laughed at me again and called me crazy. I told her that it was fine, I would leave and not spend my money there. I have dashcam footage of the entire altercation. Such a shame, I have never encountered this rude employee before and she has turned me off after 20 years.
Pros: conveniently located, adequate job for the reasonable pricing, Cons: busy during peak periods, often at least one of the bays isn't working, usually unattended Service: TERRIBLE. Drove in today and saw two orange cones leading to the touchless wash and saw a gentlemen in a high-vis vest. Didn't know if he worked there or happened to just be a tradesman waiting for his turn but I wanted to check if perhaps the wash was only briefly out of action so I rolled up and asked, quite politely, I thought, "Excuse me, but you wouldn't happen to know if the auto wash is working soon, would you?" His response, "Well there are two cones there and a sign (which I didn't see on account of trying to navigate entering through busy street traffic from the other side) at the front. It's not an obstacle course!" I just thought it was unnecessarily rude. There was also no path to drive out (given aforementioned cones) and, thankfully no one came in behind me, so I had to carefully back out into the busy street traffic. Very dangerous and overall bad business practice. The attendant should check his manners.
OUTRAGED!!! I am a friendly local and frequently come here to wash my brand new car. Today I was approached by a tall middle aged fair headed man accusing me of being a thief as I was using my own cleaning equipment and chemicals. He tipped out my cleaning chemicals and told me to leave half way through cleaning my car. I explained to him I have not ‘stolen’ anything as it’s impossible to do that, and that I come here to pay and use the high pressure hose to rinse my car. He again told me it’s agsinst the rules and if you come here you have to use everything provided. I told him that’s ridiculous and I asked where the signs are. He waved his hands in the air and told his son to shut the bay down so I could not rinse my car. I also pointed out the lack of cleanliness around the place to which he ignored me. The place was covered in thick mud from previous trucks and rubbish was blowing around everywhere. I hope this nasty man does some self reflection on the way he approaches and speaks to loyal customers. I certainly will not be supporting his local business again.
Potentially excellent car wash, but faltering at the moment. - Excellent vacuum cleaner pressure but broken nozzle (kindly replaced by attendant) - Broken mat holders in two out of three bays. - Only 2 car mat holders per bay (which is ok but 4 would be ideal) - automatic mat cleaner broken at the moment - Currently has drainage problem and water pooling in 3 of the bays. - broken water gun trigger in one of the bays, and not screwed in tightly hence spraying in all directions leaving legs and feet wet. - Reasonable water pressure but less than last time I came here Car wash attendant helpful when called upon but unaware of any of the faults. Please address little problems as they will increase the frequency of car enthusiasts’ custom.
Do not use this car wash if you have any value in your car. Would give no stars if you could. This place has so much potential & it is busy but it is so abused due to total lack of maintenance. A few years ago used to be well maintained & was the only wash that actually had hot water. Only “attendant” that is ever there are 2-3 young guys who mostly stand around playing with their phones. The brushes are never replaced & being so busy they’re full of debris which scratches your car no matter how much you rinse them off. I travel far away to use other car washes even though this is over the road for me because this one is badly managed. Whoever owns it clearly just has it as an investment because it’s so dirty & run down.
Took my car through the car wash today and specifically asked the person working there would it clean my car because I have been through before and it did a terrible job He said no problems so I took it through for $16 and see photos attached it wasn't clean so I went back and said can you run it through the car wash again please because it's not clean and he said no we don't give away free car washes and I said I've already paid for a car wash and it didn't do it properly so I'm not asking for a free car wash I'm asking for the job to be done for what I've paid for. Yes he allowed my car to drive through a game but it's not good enough The chemicals are not strong enough So I would recommend going somewhere else
Only ONE of the two touchless bays accept the cheapest ($12) wash, and to make an absurd situation even worse the management refuse to put a big sign up to let us know. The attendant said they'd asked the management to put a sign up, but they never get around to it. Such a selfish, small minded and deceptive manager. Referring again to the touchless wash - I tried the blow dry option, and it is not very effective. The blower seems to blow vertically, from the top - they need to add more blowers, to more effectively dry the vertical panels. (and it didn't do that good a job on the horizontal panels either).
If you are going to do the self-wash, it’s better to use coins instead of credit card. So, you can manage what you want to use it and how long you going to use it… I use credit card yesterday, and it charged $15 (plus surcharge) straight the way and you don’t know how long or how to pause it… the timer just keeps counting and you may ends up with pay more… There is no any sign (as far as I could find) of how to use the credit card machine (including a surcharge fee !!!) and how it charges/calculates ??? And , no website of this business, you can’t find any information of it…
Update (+2 stars): returned same day, one of the staff was helping hand wash cars in the automatic machine. Faith in humanity restored Update (-2 stars): Second automatic machine has been out of action for upgrade for months. Went their this morning and the other machine was not working either. Excellent value for money. Pro tip for the reviewers complaining about the brush scratching their car, that brush is for the engine bay, wheels, or trucks etc, not for paint work. Recommend you bring a sponge, window drier, and towel to wipe down after.
We paid for a $16 car wash that never worked. We managed to call the owner who said he would honour the payment next time we were there (just call him and he’ll let us through) and asked us to move cones to block the broken car wash machine from other customers, which we did. We have tried to contact the owner with the same number on 3 separate occasions (even texted) with no answer or reply. I’d either like a refund or the wash we paid for. Very bad customer service, it’s like we’ve been ghosted or had our number blocked by the owner.
Great car wash facilities here. They take eftpos and are open 24/7. Can get really busy on a sunny weekend during the day. There is vacuuming and washing facilities with a vending machine with bits and pieces. There isn’t a lot of room for many cars tho. So you can sometimes be waiting on the street to get in. Coles is right behind to get snacks whilst waiting though! And 7/11 across the road. Some weekends there is staff there too, not that you need them often but good if anything goes wrong.
Definitely one of the better places for a reasonably priced car wash. You have the choice between a DIY wash where you can spend as little or as much as you want, or an automatic wash with different tiers. Car vacuum costs $1 for 3 minutes, which is pretty decent. Change machine available, as well as Eftpos tap and go. There's usually a staff member on hand in case there's any dramas. I'd recommend steering clear of this place on a Saturday as it gets really busy.
Excellent, $16 for a automatic wash and dry, my new car was filthy after a muddy trip and it did a great job, with touchless you are not going to get a perfect wash or dry as that's impossible, but it's 95% there within 6 minutes and no chance of any scratches or swirls on paint, I would much rather this than 99% perfect with a hand wash. I will be using this from now on instead of min $60 dollars hand wash...I can vacuum inside my car easily enough.....
Run down vacs out of service bins have been concreted in most machines out of order super wash paid for no underbody spray on start completely run down products coming out of spider are extremely diluted or ratio is wrong I used to manage this wash when it was owned by carlovers so I know what loopholes have been taken hog brush bristles have become brittle will scratch and mar your car avoid at all costs
At least it doesn't insist on starting at $2 like in Blackwall self serve wash near where I live. It's better maintained as well where everything works including the change machine. That may reflect the people in the respective areas. Locals in Backwall near Woy Woy were probably abusing the change machine. It's very convenient for when I drive to Sydney and the M1 acts as a great dryer or rinser if it pours!!
This is based only on laser wash, not the self clean.... Just wish I used the self clean... The laser was did not clean my car at all.. should have taken before and after.. but only realised when I got home. The car wasn't overly dirty. The car should have been able to clean better than it was. I.e there was no mud or dirt, Just dust from the latest dust storms.. Shame cause I used to come here alot.
Great place to wash car. You can choose manual wash or automatic touch-less wash. This place’s automatic car wash is really good for car lovers, as it uses water jets and the machines does not touch the car while washing. So it does not scratch the car at all. Touch-less automatic car wash is not as good as premium hand wash, but it looks clean enough and it is much cheaper.
Attempted to use the self service car wash - the machine took cash from me and didn’t register that I had put anything in. Tried to find someone to assist me but no staff on site. Then went to use my credit card and over $15 was automatically deducted from my card. Took my money and ended up costing me $20 to wash the car myself.
Im so thankful this place. I went most of the car wash place. Here is so nice like diamonds. I can say most cheap and valuable self car wash place whole sydney. Not only cheap, machine also nice, Even a bubble and wax too! Unfortunately i can go sometimes i live far from here. Guys! Have to say thank you to here’s owner.
Wasn’t at all impressed. Two out of the three wash bay brooms look as they though they had been scrubbing the road. The coin / rinse selector in every bay wasn’t working properly if at all..! Maybe bypass Turramurra and drive to Cen Coast to visit ; Mingara car wash station is or was always running great 24 hours a day.
I purchased the $16 option, went through and it didn't clean my car. The attendant, Shane was very helpful and put my car through again but it still came out dirty so he suggested I contact the owner. I've contacted the owner twice now, with no reply. Obviously I would not recommend or use this business again.
I. And to this place before many times, but today Sunday 29/03 at 3:40 pm I tried to change 10 dollars and the machine to change the money took it and didn't have anything, of course there is anybody there or a telephone where to call. So they just took my 10 dollars, probably I will never come back
The place abit run-down, otherwise quick and value for money, if you want your car squeaky clean like handwash, this is not for you, but for a quick clean it's totally worth it, i used extreme car wash for $16 plus 30c surcharge for paying by card which is abit annoying. But I will be back again.
The laser wash is fantastic! As it is open 24/7 it can be super convenient for those who can't access other automstic wash sites. The clean scent from the suds comes in through the vents during the wash, so it adds to the experience. It doesn't dry your car at the end - so be mindful of this.
One of the few self car washes in Sydney. Everything works. 3 manual wash bays. Cards accepted. The whole area isn't very big, but if it's not busy there should be an empty spot after the wash where you can chamois your car dry. Usually go after 10pm as that's when it's relatively quiet.
Lazer wash Under renovation no idea when done , I'll review when I can , existing one has no height warning so I couldn't use it just used the manual spray when using credit card annoying beeps and charged by min at the end . So Annoying. I've used other systems that work way better.
Never had a handwash or other types of washing; so it's hard to compare quality of washing. However, I believe the theory of "micro scratches" caused by brushes; nevertheless not interested in handwash. - so love their laserwash: love different feeling coming from wheels after wash
Convenient location off peak but a bit tricky to access when there is a lot of traffic. Exit is heading South only, so you have to factor in a small detour if you are heading back north when you are done. Has a drive through option if you don't want to get out and do it yourself.
No soap, so I just paid 5 bucks to hose my car. On one of the booths the trigger is broken. People bring buckets and sponges and use the booths to wash their car and then pay for a quick rinse. I think if this carwash had wild Grizzly Bears attacking customers it would be great.
Awesome place. Really affordable and now our go to for a car wash whether it be a quick touch up in the laserwash or a more thorough going over with the manual wash. My only critique would be that the vacuums don't have a tap to pay with car option and will only accept coins.
Every bay was filthy, centre one flooded, the bins were overflowing. The auto car wash did not clean the car. Watched a vehicle come out with road grime still on everything below the door handles. Attendant sat in office playing on phone. Would give this place a wide birth.
Carwash is good. But the vaccume stations hardly do anything. Hoses have holes in them so suction is lost. Probably needs some work done to them. Pretty sure the payway creditcard terminal overcharged my credit card for the amount of time I was in the bay washing my car.
The facilities are poorly maintained and the attendant was rude. When I raised the issue that a long queue of cars from one very slow customer was causing blocked access to the rear bays, the attendant indicated that he could not care less. I will never go there again.
Perfect place if you want to get your car washed. Go late at night, maybe after 9, to avoid the crowds. I think I paid $10 total and washed my car for 10 mins. Had to be quick and thoughtful but the pressure is good and is definitely doable. Will definitely be back.
This is fully equipped car wash center all your needs are taken care, carpet wash, vaccum and fragrance and it is so cheap and easy to use, this is an absolute place for petrol heads who need to keep their ride clean inside out definitely give it a try you love it.
End of life for this facility, or desperate full reno. Was being pumped out previous visit and told to come early to avoid the lakes. 6.30am and its worse. Its actually dangerous and needs pool fencing before someone drowns. Chemicals are not enough to clean.
Thank you to the guys at the car wash…my car was so dirty the drive through washer couldn’t cut through all the ground-in dirt etc, so they very kindly hand washed for me. A big thank you ….it looks great now (and now I know how to use the manual wash booth!)
Very average, attendant has to be one of the rudest people you can encounter, starts yelling at you for no reason if you aren't lined up in the precise spot, then walks around like he has some mental deficiency glaring at you for no reason........real oddball
It’s better than nothing but not by a lot. Coins often tend to get jammed or just don’t do anything. Soap modes are often just water. Hot modes are never hot. I go there only if the car is really filthy and I don’t have time to get the karcher out.
Last time I come here unfortunately. Pools in each self service bay that make it near impossible to not get your shoes soaked. Almost had to pole vault to get back into my car. Place is run down and filthy - badly in need of some maintenance.
I used the most expensive selection on the automatic car wash. For $16, I expected much better results than I got. I will still have to wash my car after this as the bonnet did not come clean at all. This is not months or even weeks worth
Thought I'd give it another go since they have the new Laser Wash machine finally installed. Went through and the machine is out of chemicals or malfunctioning. Dispensed detergent properly for about 10 seconds then only water was being
Used to be a great car wash, now it's run down and broken and the prices haven't been reduced to reflect this. Even with staff onsite the laser wash is defective or out of the polish solution. Hopefully management fixes these problems.
Great self serve car wash. Wish they had more of these around Sydney. Car came out looking sparkling. I used the credit card feature which was helpful as I didn’t have any coins on me. Will be back to wash our car here again.
Have been using this for over a year now. Its average. Last time though the fully automated wash did not clean a big area on the roof. Unfortunately it could be seen only after the car was dry. Not sure I'll go back again.
Do not use the automatic carwash! Waste of money. Doesnt wash the car properly and it doesnt have a dryer!!! So bad and I don't recommend it! My car was still so dirty whrn I left and it's definately not a spot free rinse.
Found it difficult to enter from pacific highway, the "Enter" driveway is off the side street. Pretty good self service car wash, I found there was still dirt on my car even after scrubbing with thier foaming brush.
Today's car wash was fantastic. The environment was clean, and the service personnel were very patient, even assisting me with the self-service wash. Today he is my superheroe, making my day. Thanks. …
Excellent DIY & Touchless 24 hour car wash, vacuum, perfume, vending machine with cleaning supplies & snacks/drinks. Good management. ATM during business hours. 7-Eleven petrol pump, Coles & Pharmacy closeby.
Sometimes coins get eaten. Sometimes no soap is dispensed from the brush. Sometimes the brush is dirty. Usually there's someone to help. Still always full. Cheap way to clean your car. Albeit philistinic.
I never expect a perfect wash from a touchless wash but come on... The condition of the car wash itself should have been a giveaway. I'd say the wash removed maybe 30% of the dirt built up on the car.
Convient and inexpensive. The car gets an ok wash but not dried, so bring a chamoise. The staff are rude, which doesn't make up for anything. I won't be back. (He actually yelled at me. Inexcusable).
It used to be really good not any more maybe new management. Machines arent serviced regularly resulting in customers loosing money. Bays arent clean. Dont think Ill be washing my car at TCW anymore.
Absolute rubbish automatic car wash. Poorly cleans the car. Second bay doesn't have the drying function, which leaves you car wet when driving out. Don't expect your wheels to be cleaned as well.
Be aware, at the automatic car wash, I ran into a screw and punctured a tire. This carwash is in very bad condition. One of the automated car washes is under renovation for a year or longer.
Have used this car wash a couple of times. Always convenient and easy to use. Each car wash bay is big enough to fit large 4WD / truck vehicles. Photos attached show the carwash area:
I regularly drive from my house in Belrose to wash my Tesla Model X. It’s open 24hrs so I can clean the car anytime and that’s very convenient for me as I have a Hire Car Business.
Horrible place. Dirty. Rubbish everywhere. Food on the ground. No fragrance, vacuum hoses dirty. Put 4 x 50c coins in the change machine, get $1.70 back. Honestly never going back
We always go for the top laser wash. Does a pretty good job for the price. Sometimes awkward to enter as driveway is blocked from traffic lights or just thoughtless people.
cheap self car wash. good value of money. sometimes need to wait for a few minutes because of a lot of customers. usually no space for temporary parking to drying the car.
Attendant Grumpy. Normally good service but dont try and communicate with the current attendant. My questions were met with scorn..it made him feel better to belittle me.
If you want to clean your car yourself This is the best by far. Vacuums are strong Self wash bays are clean and the pressure selections are vast and actually all work.
Always a wait for a single car wash. Always. Nothing special. But expect a wait for up to hours during peak times. But everything does function as it should at least.
This car wash would be good if it didn't flood it's self. I took a motorcycle here once and I couldn't use it at all because the water is 15cm deep in the centre.
Convenient and close by. Good for a quick car wash and cheap. Cost me 4$ for soap and rinse. I then do my own chamois. Nothing changed. Still pretty good value.
The laser car wash is great. I've used it many times. Nothing touches your car except soap and water.( like my flatmate. Nothing touches my flatmate....) …
I love a 24hr car wash. Great soap, good brush, powerful jet. A good clean car when finished, just don’t forget to press stop on the contactless card reader.
Waste of money. Photos of my car straight after going through the car wash. Reached out to the owner to rectify but with no response. Terrible service.
Lovely lady Dawn assisted me. Car was beautiful after the "Extreme" wash. Currently upgrading the automatic wash so it will be even better shortly.
why did they put vacuum machine before washing bay? People are just vacuuming inside while blocking other cars to get into washing bay. So stupid
Put $4 in deodorising gun and it didn’t work at all. Vacuum was good. Would like a refund or credit please. No staff available on site to help.
Sadly the laser washing machine was not very good. It didn’t take much of the dust/dirt if my car. And all they said was to go through again.
You can wash your car the way that you like it. Cheaper than hands car wash. It’s good experience . Any time day or night you can use it.
Good location and enough equipment to get a good wash. The 24/7 nature of it makes it a good choice for after hours when it is not busy!
Turramurra Car Wash is the best self serve car wash in Sydney. Thanks for keeping all the cleaning products stocked up and ready to go!
I like the fact that they have added credit card facilities and that you can wash your own car. However is looking a little run down.
I tried self car wash using coins. Attendents were friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back. Update:I am a regular customer now.
Great touchless carwash, the locals know you always go for the automatic washer on the far left as it is superior to the other one.
Quick, cheap awesome. Highly recommended. New machine now installed. Found out that every Tuesday is a special when it's only $10!
Open 24 hours, great car wash options with either touchless drive through car wash or do it yourself bays at reasonable prices
The "non touch" drive thru car wash was one of the worst I have ever experienced. Didn't even take dirt off windows. So poor.
The only laser wash in Sydney that I know of. Very handy as a disability pensioner . Basic wash or with post wash dryer .
Finally an overhead car wash anchor hose that is well oiled and easy to manoeuvre. Credit card tap not working...
I used the service this morning, there was no soap, no wax, just water, so it was a waste of both time and money.
Do not use your credit card to pay at the washing bays because they rip you off. I got charged $30 for 10 mins.
Self hand wash is good, normal price, covered spaces. Not all wash options were available so giving 4 out of 5.
Love this car wash. Just an easy experience and always enjoyable even though it's a bit rough round the edges
Washed the car beautifully in self was bay, cheap as chips aswell as the owner is very helpful.10/10 service
I have been waiting for over 12 months for them to install the new laser wash machine. Why is it so hard?
For just $16 the laser wash did a good job in 5 mins or so. The attendant was very friendly and helpful.
pretty decent car wash. use it all the time. have the option to automate or do it yourself. good value
Cool car wash. Not much queuing area, but easy enough to vacuum, soap, brush and rinse car for $8...
One of the best manual/hand wash car washes in Sydney. Credit card option and decent rate.
When there is no line it is great. It's self service and the machines are always working.
I love bringing my car here for a quick clean. Gets super busy so glad they are open late.
Good vacuum, lots of modes, strong sprays. Price is decent. Open 24 hours but gets busy.
A thrilling joy ride not for the faint of heart. Best experienced with windows closed.
Auto car wash is pretty quick and what you'd expect, the three colour foam is fun!
Good for a quick rinse, take a mate with you to save time and money …
It’s fun to have the automatic wash with all the colourful soap, decent prices
