Came for bottomless brunch for my work Christmas party and did not have a great time. Gave the site the benefit of the doubt and came back with my partner. For the first hour we received drinks at an reasonable speed for bottomless brunch and mediocre. We attended on the 21/12/23 between 3&5 pm. The second hour tells a different story. We were ignored multiple times and if finally our order was taken by a server it was never communicated to the bar. Our server the whole night was clearly unenthusiastic and disliked the working environment. Our primary server (who was a male with shoulder length hair) was the most unenthusiastic. At times we were served by a female with a pony tail who was nice to talk to, and got drinks well. However the male was the opposite. We thought they were just low in effort until our server served 3 middle aged males. Our server was over enthusiastic and encouraged drinking at a increased speed to them. And even though they were the next table to us, we did not receive the same treatment. Our server then served another family next to us but continued to ignored us. My partner and I came to the conclusion that our server didn’t want to serve us due to us being a gay couple. We were brought the bill uninvited by a 3rd server- but she was very nice. At this time we were still awaiting 3 ordered drinks each. We paid and received 1 drink and then after this- at 3 minutes past our finish time- asked to leave by the manager. He explained to us that another person was awaiting our table and he could only provide us bar stools. He promised he would bring both of our already ordered drinks- but only brought 1.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Turtle Bay and was fortunate enough to have Freddy as my server. I must say, Freddy's exceptional service truly made my experience memorable. His genuine passion for the food and drink selection was evident, and it really helped me make the best choices for my meal. Throughout my time at Turtle Bay, Freddy's attention to detail was impeccable. He ensured that my water glass was always filled, and he regularly checked in to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. He was efficient and prompt in taking my order and delivering the food, making sure it arrived at the perfect temperature and presentation. What truly stood out about Freddy was his ability to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. He engaged in friendly conversation, making me feel comfortable and valued as a customer. Everything was great. We really liked that you could choose any cocktail for bottomless brunch. Most other places, only let you get the basic ones. The food was amazing, however not enough of it. Humza was welcoming from the moment we arrived. Couldn’t fault his service! Only slight letdown was that we were sat in the middle of the restaurant. When we asked another waiter if it would be possible to move to somewhere a little less open, we were told it wouldn’t be possible because there was only one waiter manning the area. Maybe a bigger budget on payroll could be given in order for the staff to accommodate this.

A few explanations on the menu for things like ‘roti’ we hadn’t a clue what this was

It was not the first time I went to a Caribbean restaurant, I have lived in London for many years and it is a culture and cuisine that I know very well, I have lived with them. And this restaurant is more Caribbean in its decoration than in its dishes. The sauces were from bottles that you find in any supermarket. We ordered two dishes of jerk chicken among other things, one was very burnt and completely dry but that was not the worst, the wings gave off a terrible smell as soon as the dish arrived at the table, we tried them and they were in terrible condition. We called the manager who took the plate to the kitchen and he came back saying that the cook said they were perfect, we still returned them. Yes, everything was so good that my partner and I, who were on vacation and celebrating my birthday, ended the night vomiting and having diarrhea.

My first visit here last year couldn't have been better, my second in February 23 could not have been more contrasting. I was told to sit by the window in the bar area, maybe because I was the 'table for one' guest that all restaurants hate, even though this wasn't an issue on my first visit. I wasn't told I needed to order my food at the bar which meant I sat at my seat like an idiot for twenty minutes. A passing server finally took pity and took my order. I then had to chase up my main course and even a beer at the bar which didn't exactly make me feel like a valued guest. Food quality when it finally arrived was good although not up to the standard of my first visit, I had the salted fish for starter which is very spicy and the Trini curry which was somewhat underwhelming. Disappointed as I had waited six months to return to this restaurant.

What can I say? Midday booking for bottomless brunch, Saturday lunchtime, so pretty busy. Service was perfect, 110%. Our waitress couldn't have been more helpful. The drinks just kept coming, even after 1hr 45m and many, many delicious cocktails, they still wanted offer us more. Our table was booked for another party at 2.00pm. We were given paper cups and left with two Mai Tais and four Zombies (drinks, not us, although....) We couldn't fault the food, the atmosphere, the cocktails or value for money. Best bit was the service, more than happy to leave a generous tip. Turtle Bay have a great team and can be very proud of what they're doing. A brilliant experience!

Melon was absolutely amazing!! For a big group he kept the drinks flowing constantly smashing them out, following Isaac who delivered the cocktails to the table, absolutely fantastic service!! If you’re looking to book for a large booking, this is the perfect place to book. We will definitely be returning. The cocktails and food were both Devine. Big well done to the team. Eating at the turtle bay was a unique experience. We had the garlic pit prawns, the Trini doubles, the sweet corn fritters, the salt fish fritters, the jerk chicken and some drinks. Everything was delicious, the staff was very polite and helpful, the prices were good and they had a happy hour for the cocktails! It was my first time eating Caribbean and it was absolutely great. I totally recommend it. It would be nice to make a reservation before you go.

I don’t know from where to start. I came here randomly and I found my favorite place in Bristol. The food was extremely delicious and that mix of different tastes was amazing. Thanks to the chef Pavel for the best ribs that I ever had with sliced pineapple! This combination was WOW. I tried also the salmon and also got the 5 star. Also I would like to share my experience with the waitress Gabby. Amazing and professional girl who has done her job well. She explained and recommended the specialty from the menu and she was right. I highly recommend this place. The interior is really cool and welcoming. 10 of 10⭐️!

Popped in for breakfast on a whim as our hotel was charging nearly £20 each for a buffet. We were not disappointed! As it was early in the day we were seated as soon as we walked through the doors and our server, Poppy, came over after a few minutes once we had looked at the menu. Poppy was friendly and professional and delivered service with a smile. The food was fresh and tasty, we really enjoyed our brunch items. We are thinking of coming back tonight for our evening meal

I’ve never been for Caribbean before and this sets THE BAR The food is a party of flavour in your mouth, if you think it won’t fill you up and be good quality for the price.. think again it’s AMAZING! Hats off to the chef!!! JP provided an amazing service with a smile, conversation and charm, he defines the high standard of good service and fine catering as well as being present when needed and not overbearing, which adds to the experience!! Ali's laugh lights up the restaurant every time he's in there, the service he provides goes above and beyond anything I've ever experienced before... If Ali continues working here, I honestly believe that Turtle Bay Broad Quay will be awarded a Michelin Star (Or they would if all of the other staff members could keep up with him). His diverse but incredibly sensitive palette allows him to recommend the perfect dish every time, just by looking at a customers outfit, it's unbelievable. I cannot recommend this place enough! My friend and I went after watching a matinee performance at the hippodrome. Considering it was Saturday, happy hour and super busy the service was absolutely brilliant. Lovely lady hosting and showing us to our table. Loved seeing all the bar staff making their famous cocktails as soon as you enter, the vibe is fantastic. We had a young lady serving us who was attentive and always made sure our meal was ok and we were topped up on our drinks. Food was out of this world! Will I be back, oh yes most definitely.

Best service! We were served by Freddie who went above and beyond for anything we needed. Didn't get the name of the lady that seated us, but was wearing a shirt and had orange hair and she couldn't be more accommodating either. Only recently discovered Turtle Bay and I wish I'd gone before. I'm a real convert. The food itself is great but the hygiene of the cutlery and cups is subpar bordering on disgusting at best. The food took 45mins to arrive and in those 45mins not one clean glass for water. Had to ask for 4 glasses before the issue was rectified.

Josh and Lottie were great servers for bottomless brunch. They were incredibly attentive and made sure that we had a phenomenal time! We would definitely recommend bottomless brunch here - food and drinks were great and service was fantastic.

Absolutely fantastic service, shout out to Mikey who went above any beyond to make us feel welcome today. We went for a birthday bottomless brunch and cannot fault the service or experience. Food was incredible, cocktails were insanely good. Definitely recommend, we will be going again.

We liked this branch, it is colourful and had a great vibe. Food was yummy and the price quite reasonable. We had the curries and fried chicken. We were, however, a bit disappointed with tge service. You don't feel much welcomed and had to wait quite some time to be acknowledged and eventually served.

really good experience doing bottomless brunch here! Kiera made all of our drinks, which were speedy and tasty (5 stars for her!) Mikey served us and was very friendly, always putting through another round for us as we were nearing the end of our drinks which meant we got a lot of rounds in. All in all a great experience, would definitely recommend!
