My whole experience buying an used car from them can be summarised as if I was doing them a favor. Either I agree with all of their terms or I can walk away. For example: - they are not willing to reduce the price by a single dollar, either I pay the advertised price or they don't want my money. It's a $25k vehicle. I heard more than once: "it's the advertised price, mate. Can you do it?" What I got from that is they don't need customers buying used cars. Maybe they are only interested in selling new vehicles? Maybe they have enough customers that they don't need to negotiate? - when I told them the time I'd like to pick up the car on a Saturday they told me they were short staffed and if they were busy I'd have to sit down and wait for them. These were their exact choice of words. Not very customer obsessed, right? I don't even know if they have any principles like treat customer with respect so maybe is just who they are. There is something else that is just bad practice: - They ask you to send copies of credit cards and IDs via e-mail and SMS. I could be wrong but it's very very unlikely that their cell phones are managed devices meaning they don't have the ability to wipe them if they are ever lost/misplaced. Someone with access to their phones or e-mail account would likely find multiple credit cards and IDs. They should not store sensitive data like that. I still bought the vehicle from them as it seems like a good/reliable vehicle. Overall I felt like they just don't care and I'm simply a drop in the ocean for them. Very sad to see this lack of empathy. Not sure if I'd recommend them or even come back.

I went in to speak with George from used cars in the Mitsubishi office who I was previously dealing with over the phone about buying a used car but first went to the Subaru yard to speak with a new car sales person about a new car. I didn’t like the new cars on offer and wanted to talk with George about a second hand one, she said Alf can help me in the meantime as I had questions about the second had WRX. I stated to Alf that the Subaru was $10K more then what they are worth on car sales at over 10 different dealerships and said if he could do me a deal today I would buy the car in cash. Other dealerships had newer models with over 50k less kms and he told me they haven’t caught up yet and that they are wrong and he is right in an extremely rude tonne. I told him I was going to see George as I was already dealing with him about an 130n and I’ll talk to George about the sale as Alf was arrogant rude and dismissed me as a buyer while also lying to me. He called George and told him to stay away from the sale infront of my face when I made it clear I didn’t want to deal with Alf as he was rude. George and Anthony were extremely polite, helpful and I would of bought the car in cash if Alf didn’t force George to hand the sale back over even though I spoke to George on the phone first and told him I was coming in on Sunday with text message proof. All the used car sales men are rude and unprofessional except for George. I won’t be returning unless it’s to deal with Anthony or George again.

Was very disappointed on my trade in price as I purchased my vehicle off a dealer a year and a bit for $15000 and they offered me only $7000 as I had to change to a SUV for work reasons I reluctantly took the deal Was very stressed with my work and wasnt thinking straight at the time, was a real target i guess for shonky rip off merchants. Found Paul was very helpful BUT ignored that i asked him 10 + times for a SUV not i30 car was very pushy with the contract stating sign here, sign here, ok you wavered your rights to pre inspection, u waiverd your right to cancel after cooling period eg 1 day before 5 pm ........The next day i did try cancelling but Paul was quick to push he had a contract .........so felt very trapped. DO NOT SIGHT AND DO NOT TRADE YOUR CAR IN AS THE EVALUATOR WILLLLLLLL RIP U OFFFFFFF. IN THE END I got a Suv i love BUT they have the Blue CRZ 2013 HYDRATE maked up to 17, 999 a total of $11000 mark up this car is not made anymore so it will need a new battery after 10000, which is a cost of $2000 at a dealer, plus the parts to get are also extremely expensive so though it looks great this is not worth the cost out lay to maintain it, plus the dealers greedy make up is greatly to its true value and excessive maintainence cost is eccessive in current this ecconomical climent . Paul dealt with my car purchase and he was very approachable and didn’t push me- offered his advice without the pressure. However, when I purchased the car I noticed the car drivers passenger didn’t open with a missing cover for the handle. The car clearly wasn’t checked over properly /serviced prior to my purchase, like I was assured it was by Tynan. This put a dampener on the whole experience because I had to book it in for a service immediately upon purchase. It was difficult to even do this due to how busy the service centre was in Kirrawee. Had to call 5x times to book it in and for them to make it a priority to fit my car in to be fixed as it was a damaged vehicle purchased by Tynan. I had minimal assistance my Paul to sort this out (when he was made aware of it). I just hope nothing else it wrong with the car as I wait to see what the service centre finds.

I would not recommend purchasing a used car from this dealership as they lied to me about the car had a service log book. I had paid them most of the cost of the car that I was looking to buy, but before making my final payment I checked and there was no log book. I tried to back out of the purchase and offered to buy another car on their lot, but they refused and to this day they have held onto 15% of the purchase price of the car as they claim their cars are sold in an "as is" condition and this is their purchase cancellation fee. Their actions might be legal per their sharply written contracts, but they are as unethical as hell. This dealership would rather rip off its customers.

I was served by Peter Jackson at this dealership and would like to thank him! Very nice and friendly! Everything was exactly as described, if not better than what i expected. Peter provides updates and contacted me throughout the process before I went into their dealership to pick up the car and he made the whole process so easy and smooth. I had about 500 hundred questions, as I hadn’t had the best experience in the past, Jake has been an exceptional sales person from start to finish. He was patient and friendly, and so accommodating. I have had a great experience at Tynan. Shane the finance guy was great too, easy to talk to, tailored my finance to suit me, and even got me a great deal. Everything is transparent and no question is too hard to answer, both Jake and Shane, stayed back to make sure I could take my car on the day they promised. If you’re in the market for a car, make sure you don’t go past Tynan used cars, and make sure you ask for Jake, you honestly can’t go wrong!

We purchased a car from Tynan a few months back. A couple of days after driving away one of the lights stopped working. Tynan took it upon themselves to put together an investigation team to work out what had happened - this resulted in a manufacturers warranty being issued (for not one but 2 lights). It was an excellent win, keeping in mind the car was secondhand! Not only that, but on the day the lights needed to be replaced they sent a guy to Manly to collect our car and drive it back to Wollongong, leaving a curtesy car for me so I wouldn't be car less. Even though last Sunday I bought what was possibly the cheapest car on the lot at Tynan's Kirrawee used car lot, I was treated with the utmost courtesy by Jake Watson. 2008 Toyota Aurion was advertised as “immaculate” for $10000 with 215000km. Drove 2 hours to get there and there was dents and scratches down both sides of the car, rear bumper had damage, chrome was terribly stained and the paint on the rear spoiler was completely faded. None of this could be seen in the photos. Went to Col Crawford Brookvale and bought the exact same model with 1/3 of the kilometres in near concours condition for only a grand more and that was with rego.

Recently purchased a Kia Carnival from Jake and the team at Tynan Motors. I could not be happier with the service I received, I enquired about the online as I live in Port Macquarie, I got a quick reply from Jake, paid the deposit and fly down the next day. Everything went smoothly and well except when I took the vehicle home I noticed a large crack on the windscreen. TYNAN MG has a new way to make money. Because vehicle availability is poor they take deposits and promise 7 week delivery then keep the money and interest earned for another few weeks. Not a bad supplement if you want to run a scam.
