Misrepresentation of Facts of Rental, more specifically drop off location. I rented a 15’ truck from this location on 6/2/18 to move items from Fort Worth to Houston. When I reserved online, I requested a drop off location that was 2.5 miles from my move spot in Houston. When I picked up my U haul from this location, I was informed my requested drop off location was not available then given 3 that were available. I pointed out that the reason I requested that specific drop off location was it’s proximity (2.5 miles). The associate pointed to the screen & said this one is close which led (purposefully lied to me imo) me to belive that location was close so I went with that one. After getting to Houston & unloading, I found out the location the associate directed my attention to me was in fact 21 miles / 35 mins away. After unloading, the time was after 7pm which is after hours for U haul so I had to wait until the next day even though I desired to drop off & do online confirmation of drop off. The next morning I called into scheduling & they updated me to the address I had initially requested. This review is a warning to anyone who does business with this location that they misrepresent drop off locations. Do not agree to one unless it’s your preferred. There was a long line behind me & I did not want to hold everyone else up so I relied on the representation made to me by the associate. I encourage everyone to take their phone out & do a distance check before agreeing to anything about a drop off destination. The kicker is that when I called in (not the location itself but a remote scheduling number) the next morning, I was told it was no problem to switch. If it was no problem then why would this location try to send me that far out of my way (likely to save them money on having to transport a vehicle themselves to one of their franchises for a RSVP)!
I had a hitch and wiring put on my 2013 SUV. I dropped it off at 7:00 AM and thought I was going to wait on it but was told it was going to be all day because it was a Mercedes. Don't worry, he said, we'll call you when it is ready. I tried calling at 3:00 PM but you can't ever get through to that store. You get the call center. Don't worry, the call center said, they have your information and will call you. I tried calling again at 5:00 pm. Got the call center again. I didn't bother asking about the car. At 5:30 I showed up at the shop in person. The car was ready and sitting in the parking lot. Who knows how long - they never called. As I was driving home, my tire pressure light came on. I pulled over to get the owner's manual out to see what pressure they should be - the manual was missing. I know it was there the previous day because I looked something else up. I turned around and drove back to the shop. I went into the shop area and looked around then went inside. The manager told me that he had no idea why his guys would pull the manual out but don't worry - he'll call if they find it. Then he said, he actually looked for the manual himself and it wasn't there. So which was it? He has no idea why they would need the manual but he claims he needed it and couldn't find it? I left and called again the next day. Of course they don't answer their own phones there so it went to the call center. I left a message. They never called. My wife called later in the same day - got the call center and told them she wanted the manager to call because we wanted that manual back. Lo and behold, the manager called me a few hours later with a severe attitude. He said they didn't have the manual because it wasn't in the car in the first place and good luck with finding it. Not in a pleasant way either.
I am dying to give 0 stars to this uhaul storage and the storage across from it that they also own. I had a storage with them for acouple of months and paid for climate control and for my storage to be inside where it got infested with rats, also there was a rat trap INSIDE MY UNIT that I did NOT put inside which means they knew there was an issue and failed to notify the owners of units! Ridiculous! There were rat droppings in literally every box I owned. The storage after everything was removed was covered in rat droppings!!! My clothes were damaged. My dishes were damaged and my leather couches were completely scratched up and bitten holes in it. When movers delivered my property I am guessing the rats traveled as well which I expected once I was aware and it has been so hard to catch anything with my place being so big. I have caught them in my car with sticky traps and this is just a sad case!!! I pray no one chooses this place and if I could notify every person renting to check their property, I promise I would. I do not know how to upload photos to show everyone Update: you can view the photos I have uploaded under locations pictures! Disgusting
The employee there said the credit card machine wasn’t working. So he looked trustworthy and I let him write down my card number as he asked, so he could charge me as soon as it worked. Tell me why?! My bank called and froze my account because of suspicious activity the day the U-Haul transaction was taken? Let put it this way, the employee was getting a little too internet happy. My husband went to the U—Haul store and he tried to tell the manager there what happened. There’s proof in the bank statement that it all happened as soon as UHaul ran their transaction. He didn’t let my husband finish his sentence. He said do a police report go somewhere else. It’s not my employee. Don’t finish talking. Talk about terrible customer service and crooks. I don’t recommend trusting that location. Expect fraud on your account and them to deny any ownership!
This is the second time I have rented a unit at this location. I reserved a unit online and went to the store front to finalize. The unit I got ended up being smaller than I thought, but it was no problem to upgrade to a larger unit. The issues are there isn't a light in my unit so it's very dark, there are huge cockroaches in this indoor/climate controlled building- which is a windy wonky shape not easily accessible for large furniture items. I was pressed for time and had to take what they had available.
Thr rental manager richard tried to double charge me for truck deposit we had been charged on the card when on the phone then asked for a cash deposti when i was in the store richard is a liar and a theif . Due to the experience with him i will NEVER EVER rent or deal with U haul again !!!! This store was very un professional in every aspect . And I highly recomend that you do your moving/hauling business with anyone else and definatly not this store . He was reported to corperate.
Walk-ins not welcome. You must call or go online to make a reservation or you have to leave. No longer do they bring the UHaul to you at the store front. I found mine on the other side of the building which I was not told exactly where it was. Then you're sent a link that you have to upload pics to see the current damage, but act fast IF you get the link which I did not or it expires quickly...Just not anything like it used to be.
After having a storage unit here for over two years and almost a dozen breakins so thankfull to have everything left out of here dozens of homeless people and even a tent city by the back at the creekside. Do yourself a favor and get a storage elsewhere if you want to keep your things.
Professional and courteous. The place was well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. I really appreciate them and would recommend to anyone. I felt very safe as well. They are open pretty good hours. The bathroom was clean too! Thanks U-Haul
Allowed my storage unit to be robbed. No surveillance. Very disappointed. Will never use them again. Still with them and still no surveillance of the area. Pathetic.
My experience here was amazing! The manager was very helpful, had an eye for detail & promptly fulfilled all of my packing & storage needs.
Moved down from Montana, got one month free for getting a truck. Got a storage unit big enough for everything. Staff was happy to help
Great place manager is very friendly. Everyone is always willing to answer questions you ask. Room was clean and ready to move in.
Wasn't open !!! Needed propane 9° wasn't able to get it , usually great place to get it but disappointed they were closed
