When I first moved to Vancouver, I was not settled with a hairdresser that created my hair how I wanted. Blonde highlights can be a really tricky thing to get right for someone. Thankfully, I was recommended by my neighbour to go to Judith. I haven't tried and will never try another hairdresser (apart from her son, Mathew) while I'm here living in Vancouver. She is the best and Mathew is truly amazing at head massage. I'm sure his colour and cut skills are becoming just as professional also as he's trained by the best. Both Judith and Mathew are passionate in their industry, constantly striving to learn more by attending yearly training sessions and always wanting to create a magic that the customer feels while walking out of their door. It's no wonder I chose Judith and Mathew to do my bridal party's hair for our wedding day. My husband, Paul, also sees Judith regularly and he loves how she understands his thick wavy hair by creating the perfect style. We frequently both get complimented on our hair styles. Judith hair design is AMAZING! My mom, sister and I have been getting our hair done here for about 10 years because Judith and her son Matthew do such a great job. I do not live close to Judith's salon by any means, but my sister and I have no problem making the commute because it is so worth it knowing that we'll be walking out of her salon with flawless hair. Judith gives me the PERFECT blonde color that I love. It never looks yellow or tacky, it is always a beautiful golden blonde. People are constantly complimenting me on it and asking me where I get my hair colored. I cannot count the number of times that someone has told me I have the "perfect blonde hair". My hair is also very long and thick but Judith works super fast and always cuts and styles it the way I like. Judith really is an expert at what she does. She has so much knowledge and experience. I have been going to Jerry for several years now and I have always appreciated his attention to detail and his eye for colour and form. Whether it's a cut or colour, I am happy with how Jerry makes my hair look. Jerry's kind and thoughtful disposition makes for a great visit at a the salon. He listens and provides good feedback and suggestions in regards to cut, colour and style. He stays current with latest trends but has always made the right suggestions for my hair type (versus pushing trendy for the sake of being trendy). So so so so so great! I recently moved to Vancouver and was terrified to try a new hair salon since it took me years to find someone I liked in Toronto! I took a gamble with this place and not only did I get the best haircut I've had in years but it was potentially the best haircut ive had EVER! Franny is a fantastic and talented artist and she listens to what you want and does exactly that, but better! Because she knows her stuff and provides a good balance between what you want and what fits you based on your hair texture and day to day life! So so s great! I visited Unsalon for the first time after reading all the great reviews. It’s safe to say that Jerry did not disappoint, in fact he exceeded my expectations. I showed him an inspiration picture and from there he asked the right questions and gave me so much advice as to what would work with my hair type. I am SO happy with how my haircut turned out and I look forward to seeing Jerry for future services. Besides my experience with Jerry, the salon itself was such a wonderful experience from the moment I walked in the door, the decor is great and the music selection was spot on.

I had my hair cut with Jerry for the first time today. Not only did he do an incredible job and left me with a really fresh, light, and beautiful haircut, but he was also incredibly thorough. Jerry is fabulous! I started going to him to try something new and bold, but still classy. Typically a light brown with gray-showing, hair style, as you can see in the pic I was transformed into a beauty! , All I can say is he is absolutely talented! Always kind, always considerate, and eager to explain the process and verify expectations. I have had my hair cut, styled, coloured.… And he never disappoints. The salon is spotless with great attention to detail throughout, making sure the experience is special. Very strongly recommend anyone to check for themselves.

Jerry is very knowledgeable about hair. He is very skilled, warm-hearted, and gives excellent tips and advice on how to style your hair at home. Not only does he wash your hair, but he also gives great, mini scalp massages which could lull you to sleep. I've tried a few other hairstylists in Vancouver and all were unsatisfactory in how confident they made me feel about myself and their services. However, Jerry and his salon have my complete trust. Plus, I love the 3-in-1 deal they offer which other salons charge separately. (Cut, wash, and style for $72)

I had been to many hairdressers in Vancouver before coming to Judith. All of them left me with a haircut that didn't grow out nicely at all - with funny tufts sticking out in both front and back. Judith explained to me that every head of hair is different ( due to cowlicks, curls etc.) and that in order to get a proper cut, a hairdresser needs to pay attention to this in order to get it right. Well Judith knows how to get it right! I've never had a better cut. I can go from short to long, and it always grows out nicely. Thank you, Judith. You're the best!

My first impression of UN Salon was very clean and tidy. They sanitized the salon between customers and they did not miss a spot. I have been to few other salons which the stylist just spray "the air" above the chair and no wipe down. Jerry and G did an amazing job, they were able to get the right color that I was looking for and the perfect cut. I have to say that I am picky on how my hair flows for a medium bob cut, G was amazing. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for the perfect bob and the right color.

Judith is an excellent hair stylist; her precision with cutting, styling and colour results in a beautiful hair style which I receive many compliments. I came to Judith many years ago to correct a problem hair cut and she did a superb job; she continues to do a wonderful job with hair year after year even as my hair and fashion taste changes. My hair styles have changed many times over the years, long to shorter, curly to straight and back again; Judith listens and recommends; I always leave smiling.

I moved to Vancouver in February 2013 and found Judith just by walking around my neighbourhood and have been going to her ever since. No one has cut my hair so nicely as she has. Judith knows exactly what I want, even before I say it. Getting your hair done by her is very comforting and is an experience like non other. She is such a great person I see her as my friend more than as my hair dresser. It's always a nice bonus when her son is in the shop, because he gives the best scalp massages in town!

I have gone back to see Jerry twice now for my haircuts. I tend to be extremely picky with how I want my hair, and have been unsuccessful in finding a hairdresser that executes what I want ( I also can be terrible at explaining, so I'm not putting it all on the hairdresser ), but Jerry has pulled through both times. There is nothing like the feeling of leaving the salon with some extra confidence and loving the way your hair looks. Jerry please never leave me!

I was recommended to Judith's after a terrible "diy ombre colouring with a friend." Judith is very personable, knowledgeable and professional. She took her time to explain all the steps and managed to color correct, blend and fix my hair color! The difference with her and my previous hairdressers is that she takes her time learn your routines and she educates you. She teaches you which products to use, how to style and take care of your hair properly.

I want to say that I went to Judith about 6mths ago. I was recommended by a friend to go see her. My hair was an absolute mess, to say the least. I had 3 different colours going on, it was dry and brittle. Well, Judith the amazing stylist she is, completely re-did my hair to it natural colour. Lovely people, great products. Cut off at least 3/4 inches more than I’d asked for though. I understand likely for health, but I even stated at this point I wanted to prioritize keeping my length over health (took a long time to grow). Hair went from my ribs to around my underarm area when I asked for 2 inches off max. Still a nice hair cut - just not the one I asked for. Oh well! Super bummed but hairstylist herself was really nice.

Judith is an excellent hair designer. I first booked an appointment with her as recommended by my daughter. Since that time (5+ years ago) Judith has been cutting and styling my hair. She listens to what I want and when I just want her to give me a new look she does so considering who I am. She gets to know her customer and can determine what would suit them. Judith has been cutting, colouring and highlighting my hair for over 15 years. She always knows what I am trying to explain with my hair and she easily takes my images and creates them.
