The USFPD has some of the nicest officers you will ever meet, they understand and truly care for students in a way different from your normal city PD. This in NO WAY represents these men and women, thank you officers. HOWEVER, the lady working the main office number on Thursay 9/27/2018 was probably the worst person I’ve ever interacted with on a secure police line. I, Trying to report a hit and run in the parking garage that day, called the office around 9:40 PM. The incident happened around 330pm. She said with an attitude something along the lines of “wow and now you decide to call?” For one, unless you wanted to handle the rest of my responsibilities for that day, I CALL WHEN I HAVE TIME. Second her lazy self didn’t want to go back in the system and check for a report to see if someone already filed a hit and run earlier today...why’d you pick that job, leave you’d do everyone a favor anyways. I have a picture of the license plate of the perp and my dash cam caught it all. Since she can’t handle filing a hit and run I’d rather delete the evidence and make room for stuff more relevant for my safety, we’d might as well start caring only for ourselves, because that’s a community thing to do right? Oh and who ever this lazy office clerk was, don’t lecture me on when to call and what to do because I am well aware of what to do, and you should make an effort to care about your job, maybe the students, and what you’re supposed to do. I get lectured everyday by professional beings, you should sit in on one Of these lectures, maybe you’d pick up a few tips on respect, and professionalism.
When the usf police come to a accident off campus dont allow then to take the report ask for a hillborrow police. After my accident my insurrance company want a police report so i contact the usf police and that is when i found that they do not do a police report only gave you a paper with change of information they was a off Duty Cop that spoke to that officer and not even her name and phone number wish is a witness of the accident will apear on that stupe paper. so now i have to take care the car damage with my on insurrance so i can fixe my car, because the lady that hit my car dônt respont the call from the geico insurrance company
Earlier today I had a problem with my car and within a few minutes a kind officer came over and helped to jump start it. He was also very understanding of the situation and even gave me some tips on what to do while handling other problems centered around my car. I am super thankful that he came over and gave me a hand, while also giving me some advice.
Lady who answered the phone really early in the morning was really rude when I was ALREADY extremely unsettled and in an uncomfortable position. I'm already on the verge of tears, the last thing I need is the person who is supposed to be helping me giving me attitude and talking down to me; That's absolutely unprofessional, unacceptable, and unnecessary.
