UPDATE: Toni, the store manager, reached out to me and offered the services of Veronica, the salon manager, to fix my hair. When I got there, she was unavailable, but Jasmine was. I was still a bit worried, but after Jasmine was able to see the issues, and started to fix it, I calmed down (also didn't hurt that I saw her check out her client before me who's hair was gorgeous). I heard that my original email was shared (which was fine), but I was worried that Jasmine wouldn't fix my hair to the best of her ability because of the things that I wrote. Boy was a wrong! Jasmine did an amazing job! She took my concerns seriously and when I voiced up at the end about one side being slightly uneven, she didn't hesitate to fix it. I am truly happy with the results that she did and I made sure to schedule a follow up appointment. I heard that she was offered full time position at the salon, and I would encourage you to make sure that she is a member of your team for a long time. She is awesome! I would also like to commend Veronica. She came and chatted with me to make sure that my concerns were addressed. She spoke highly of her team and I could tell that she wanted every single client to have a great experience. Original: I was searching for a potential new stylist and got a coupon for 15% off my first salon service at Ulta. So I set up an appointment online. When I got there, the staff couldn't find my appointment and straight up told me that their online appointment system doesn't work. The person who I chose online already went home for the day. I decided to go with the next available person, Shay. I had long hair that needed some much needed TLC and before the wash, confirmed that the stylist would only cut one inch off. After the rough hair wash, she started to cut. And cut and cut and cut. Four inches of hair on the floor later, I left. I wanted to cry. I went home and straightened my hair to only discover the full damage that happened. She butchered my hair and didn't blend in any of the layers. There are hard, blunt layers throughout my hair. I will NEVER go back to this Ulta or any other Ulta salon after my experience. In addition to the bad haircut, the staff was unprofessional (sucking in helium from a balloon), the salon was cramped, and the coupon for 15% off was ignored multiple times.
Isabel is the rudest most incompetent stylist I have experienced in over 20 years. I needed a root touch up, quick, easy. Due to my own lack of planning, I ended up in a bind and needed it done ASAP. She kept stating she needed my stylist formulas and products. I said can't you mix something up to make it work. Its just roots. I couldn't understand her level of incompetence from the get go and I should have followed my gut and left. I told her, look i just need this covered and I don't want it to look like I did it at home. Well guess what, it does and let me go on about her ' service'. She was hostile, unfriendly, &irresponsible. After she applied a minuscule amount of color, which by the way is several shades too light. She cautioned it might be a little darker, and I was ok with that because I have reddish hair. My roots are now blondish red. This is because she disappeared it did not follow up on the processing once. A real stylist, comes and checks on you and looks at the color. She said the first part needed 10 minutes, after 15 minutes I sent someone to get her. She did not apologize and it sat too long. The second portion was to sit for 30 minutes. At 30 minutes I sent someone to get her. I never saw her again. They couldn't find her and said they would page her. I asked for a manager. A nice woman named Cheryl rinsed me, blow dry etc. Cheryl was sweet and I gave her a $20 tip. The manager didn't even return to check on me and I paid 85$ for Isabel's horrific display of apathy. If you care about your hair or have any expectations about a stylist caring about her job do not see Isabel at Ulta. The other stylists felt bad for me and apologized profusely, more so than the manager. They promised that they cared about their clients and were seemingly horrified by what I had endured. And I believed them. I almost didn't write this because of the other women, but unsure if the manager took me seriously I feel others must be warned to never ask Isabel for anything, especially to do her job.
This store needs to retrain and evaluate their employees. Somehow, despite how frequently I shop there, I’ve NEVER redeemed rewards and my account never has rewards. When I inquired last time I was there because after all this time and shopping 3 times there in the last month there had to be points and no one had ever asked me if I wanted to use them before. Was kindly informed my account had 0 points and only showed 1 of 3 transactions I’d made this month. Went in to get color matched and buy some foundation/concealer for a big event (which ended up being the night I got engaged) explained exactly my skin type and what I needed. Bought some products, got home and my skin was completely the wrong color. Immediately went back, was given the same same brand, different products, different colors. None of the employees seemed to know for sure if this was the correct color but I went with it and exchanged my products. Cashier informed me my balance due... curious because the new products were less expensive to which I had to explain multiple times that that was what was owed to me not what I needed to pay. Take my products home, start to get ready today and what do you know all the products are the wrong color, don’t even match each other and clearly are not right type of products for my skin type. It’s great that they have such bright white lights so you can’t tell what color things will actually be in light in a normal environment. To make matters worse, whatever is in these products dyed my white nail polish, definitely makes me feel good about putting it on my face. Last and final straw for me, I got an email that morning that offered a huge free gift if I shopped online and when I inquired if the store was doing anything. Nope. Nada. SOL. My poor skin. Guess the drive to Sephora is worth it from now on.
Absolutely the worst haircut I have ever had in my life. I went in because I just wanted some layers evened out and now my hair is completely gone. In order to fix the butcher of a job, another stylist at another salon had to take clippers to the back of my hair and give me the worst pixy cut ever. 4 stylists gathered around me trying to brainstorm how they could fix the chops all over my head. Not only that, they were shocked the manager even allowed me to walk of the salon with that hair... oh it gets better... When the manager arrived, first she tried to tell me it didn't look that bad. secondly she told me that I still had to pay for the service if I wanted another stylist to fix it...the next day!!! I work nights and couldn't even go in to work because my hair was so butchered. I tried telling her this and she said my options were to 1. Not pay and not come back, basically just leave the way it is. 2. Pay and I could come back the next day to have someone fix it (by the way, the only fix is clippers to the back of my hair) and I would still have to pay for services that ended up in an awful haircut not even remotely close to what I wanted or 3. Drive all the way out to another salon where another stylist was available. mind you, it's 6pm now and I have to work at 2am. I had hoped to be home and asleep shortly after my appointment. I reluctantly paid and stormed out. I found another salon where 4 girls took pictures as evidence for corporate office and the Texas Licensing Board... they were shocked at how bad the hair was and how poorly I was treated. I'm preparing to file major complaints. Do NOT waste your money at this salon. My impression is that they have incompetent staff and won't even attempt to help you if they mess up. I wish I could post pictures on here!
My experience with this location today was very disappointing. Been there many times however, the staff has gone downhill for the past few months.Customers should be the focus, not how fast they can get off work. The salon staff was so unprofessional. The stylist that started the dye the roots, put in product, then went on a coffee run for others in the area that did not even have clients in their chairs. Those persons laughed and goofed around for over 20 minutes. In the mean time I had to wait for the stylist to get organized to finish putting the rest of the dye in my hair… another 5 minutes sitting and waiting. The stylist put me under the dryer, and left to be with the co-workers who were yet still laughing and standing around and not ONCE coming back to check the temperature of the air blowing, which was cool. Finally after 10 minutes or more, came back and made the adjustment. Next was washing out the dye, yes, I understand that water in the ears and down the neck are normal, but it was excessive. Then I had to actually dry my own hair while the stylist took pictures of the co-workers that had been goofing off and playing with hair bows. Once she came back after she realized I was still sitting with dripping hair, she started to dry my hair without cutting it. I had to actually remind her that she had yet to cut my hair! I highly suggest to search for another place to get your hair done if you want to be treated like a customer with respect. Laughing and talking to co-workers is fine, but when you have customers it is unacceptable to forgot who is paying for a service. They are not as low priced and there are many places that I will be more then happy to leave my hard earned dollars.
I placed an order for curbside pickup. However, when I got to the store it was PACKED. I was unable to park in the designated spots for curbside pickup, so I had to park 1 row over in an unmarked spot. I checked in thru my email and left detailed notes so they could find my car, and even provided my phone number. An associate had walked out to hand out an order to a different customer and when walking back towards the store, she looked down at the work phone, looked towards my direction and went back into the store. 10 minutes goes by and nothing. I go back into my email and enter the same information again. I’m watching the doors and as I am looking, I see the associates move the banner/pictures that hang behind the registers to see if I’m still there. Once they see i’m looking in their direction, they quickly move it back. ANOTHER 10 minutes goes by and still nothing. At this point I’m getting frustrated because at least 2 different people have looked at me/in my direction and no one has helped me. I finally call the store and they try to say “Oh, well we weren’t sure if you were here” when I literally put my car description, clicked “I’m here” twice and also provided my phone number. If they weren’t sure if I was there or not, surely they would’ve called. The associate that answered the call told me to move my car and now park in the available curbside pickup spot. It simply comes down to them not wanting to walk an extra 100 feet. 25 minutes later and I’m BARELY getting my order. Just disappointed that they would lie about not seeing me or my vehicle and be condescending. I just wanted to get home after a long day at work and this taking way longer than it needed to.
This is for the salon. I've had 3 services. They were all very badly done. I do not recommend using this salon. They can't manage the simplest things. I know you may be tempted to just run in for the basics -- don't. They will make a disaster of it. They may be friendly folks, but terribly unskilled. Also, please be sure to note their 10 day policy for reporting a negative salon experience. Gel polish: First, note they do filing and polish only. They cannot cut cuticles. While the woman was very nice, the day after my gel polish job, the gel began to peel. Two days later, all the polish had peeled off. Gel polish is supposed to last weeks. This happened right before a major event, followed by Thanksgiving -- because of the traveling I was doing, I reported this past the 10 day mark. Therefore I could not be refunded. They offered a free gel polish job. However, this was my 3rd unsuccessful attempt to use this salon, so I declined the offer. Eyebrow waxing: I tried to get my eyebrows waxed here and unfortunately the shaping was badly done. I had requested that my arch was maintained and she rounded it off instead. Took a long while to grow out. Blow out: I had a date with my husband so I stopped by to get my hair blown out. She did a ridiculously bad job. My hair was frizzy and dull. It actually looked worse. I was shocked -- usually you can walk into any salon and at least get a good blow dry, smoothing out your hair.
Yeah. Probably won't be using THIS salon again. I have a busy schedule, so I booked my hair trim appointment online. Got there about 40 minutes before my appointment. I was told that the site, "sometimes gets the schedules messed up", and that my stylist didn't have room for me? No problem - I wait to see if I can be worked in, as coming another day is not an option. I see OTHER clients coming off the street to get squeezed in. Another stylist came to me, and couldn't contain her "laughter", seemed flustered that I had taken her valuable time? Anyway, as I'm trying to tell her what I am needing, other RUDE stylists interrupt to have lengthy discussion about her upcoming appointments. Okay. She took off about a quarter inch; I had to tell this master stylist twice how to trim my rockabilly bangs....left her chair sopping wet because I can sense when I am being RUSHED - then when I pay, find she.charges $54.00?!?? For a half-***ed haircut? And to leave with sopping wet hair, no product, no styling? Clearly, the messed-up website booking is the customer's fault. Oh - and as she is cleaning up my bangs, after I directed her HOW to do them, tells me, "Not everybody looks good with these short bangs!" I told her, "yeah, well I wear what I WANT, not what people think I should." So let's insult the client's taste now. I will not be back. For what I "got", I should have gone to Supercuts for $7.00. Lesson learned!!!
I went in for a hair appointment with Jarrod. I am African American and my hair is natural. Before I start id like to say that there is a natural haired black woman who works in the store....just one. So when I went in to see Jarrod I sat down and he took my Bennie off. Like I said my hair is natural but it was washed and detangled. Jarrod picked up my hair, as if he was holding a puke rag, and dropped it. He then said "o I'm sorry I don't do ethnic hair" I was so confused I looked around at the other stylist like can one of them help me. Nit knowing what to say or do I just stared at him. I was lost. Aware of my confusion Jarrod proceeded to tell me "maybe if you had a perm I could do something but not this" ,this being my hair, and I was so hurt. I immediately put my Bennie back on and walked out. I was so ashamed and embarrassed I felt so bad about myself. Is there something wrong with me expressing my true self? Is there something wrong with the hair that grows naturally out of my head? Should I have taken his advise and altered my natural beauty to fit his standard? no. I will never shop there agian.
I was in the area knowing I had to go to Barton Creek Mall later on in the day. I stopped in by chance that maybe someone could help me now. Upon walking in the door at ULTA Southpark Meadows. I am greeted with the most sweetest, smiling faces. That kind of made me relax a little. I was needing a new sheer tinted foundation. I am introduced to MAC make up Goddess Nya. I brought in two of the shades that I use alternately. We chose something in the middle. Her knowledge and expertise was amazing. Not to mention, her skin was absolutely flawless, and I know she wasn’t wearing any make up ( jealous). She was just so sweet! After a few tries, I walk out of the store with my purchase, confident. When I apply the foundation, it looks absolutely amazing. It looks like I’m not wearing anything at all! Granted, You can still see all my freckles, but you know what? I’m tired of hiding’m! So, if you are in or near the Southpark Meadows area in Austin, TX and you’re needing some help with MAC make up…stop by Ulta and ask for Nya, she’s your girl! ThaNk YoU again Nya! See ya soOn!
Profiling. Ulta does it too. Not just something cops do. This was for sure Worst experiance I have had being treated from the minute I walked into the store like i was going to steal. Julie a makeup person or whatever could not deal with customers going to her for help because she was too busy staring at me. She flat out ran into me and my purse 3 different times. She actually followed me into the bathroom and its silent in there so you can hear that she's just sitting in the stall next to where I went in only to wash my hands. I understand people steal it happens, but to contantly harass a customer treating them every second from the minute you walk in the store, to going to the bathroom to pee or wash hands from touching and testing products all the way thru til you run them off because how rudly they've been treated from the minute they walked into the store. Good Job Ulta and Especially Julie. You can gonahead and put back my basket of a decent amount in makeup items because I will go elsewhere where I am not being treated like a their or profiled
I went to check out at this location and CASHIER Maria Fernanda literally wiped her runny nose on her hand then rang up the rest of my items with those same grimey hands. Then as I was on the touch screen trying to pay, she blew her nose, held on to that dirty tissue, while handing me my bag of purchased merchandise. Trifling to say the least, unhygienic and a safety risk at best. There is covid and monkey pox going around yet this employee at Ulta thinks it's ok as an adult to just wipe snot all over customers merchandise. There is sanitizer bottles around everywhere these days, including ULTA. Its apparent, to Maria at least, that washing your hands after wiping snot off your lip and blowing your nose is too hard to do, unheard of, and too much to expect in a makeup / beauty/ hygiene store. At least throw the tissue away instead of holding it while you handle my stuff. You would almost think it was intentional by how little concern she had for my health and safety. Her apparent disregard for others truly says a lot.
I highly recommend against using curbside pickup here. I got here and checked in via the email link at 1:45. Waited 15 minutes, nothing. So I called the store. Every time I clicked option 4 to talk to an associate, the call dropped like the phone line wasn’t working. So I called again and tried the salon so they could talk to someone about it. I was put on hold for 15 minutes, nothing. I gave up and hung up. By the fourth time I called the associate line, the phone seemed to be working and I finally talked to an associate who came out. It is now 2:21. I waited for 36 minutes! This is absolutely ridiculous. I would have just gone inside to pick it up myself if I didn’t recently have COVID. I thought this would be a convenient option since I knew I’d be in the area anyway for COVID supplies from Target drive up (which is far superior), but it ended up being a huge headache. Next time I’ll just make the extra trip to come inside when I’m out of my isolation period, because this was not worth the hassle.
Stick to Sephora in Austin. They started my brow apt 15 min after schedule, over-charged me which I noticed just as transaction went through. Cashier struggled and called over a manager who both didn’t know how to refund an overcharged service. Was informed GM would need to come over [I’m already so late to get across town] so I left my number with cashier and was told GM would call and refund by phone. NO call. Had to call them and was abruptly informed I’d need to return to the store in the next 2 days only to authorise a refund in person…. I asked around a store credit on my account instead or can I come in next week? The answer was no. I mentioned I’d just write it off and they keep my money, and they were very happy with that as a solution. Awful customer service [the brow lady however is good at what she does]
I called and asked if I could get someone to help with my makeup for a gala I had that night. The lady said they don't do that but if it's just for your eyes the MAC girl could help. I told her I can make an appointment somewhere else if I need to and she told me it was fine, they could help me. I show up at 2pm for a 5pm event and was turned away. The MAC girl said she didn't even have the brushes to do it and it's against policy due to covid, which I understand. But why tell someone it can get done if it can't!!! Now I am stuck. I could have made an appointment somewhere else. I had the time when I called in the morning. I will never shop here again and will make sure my friends, coworkers and clients know not to go to Ulta. Seems like it was just a ploy to get me in to buy product. So disappointed!
Do not get your eyebrows done at the salon. Do NOT. I went in thinking they knew how to do eyebrow waxes but they did not. Linsey, the aesthetician, was not there so I decide to go with someone else, who I thought and was told knew what they were doing. My eyebrows turned out TERRIBLE. One was smaller than the other. And the other was too wider and thicker than the other. You are able to tell. Plus, she didn't ask me how I wanted them or what some of my concerns were when they have done it before. In addition, the lady was in a hurry. And I had a nose ring and it was slightly pulled. It was my fault for not saying anything but I just wanted to get out and cry. I did cry over how badly they looked. I take my eyebrows very seriously. Do not get your eyebrows done at the salon. Do NOT. Waste of $37.
Me and girlfriend went today where approached by one the employees who at first seemed like she was welling to help. But when she was asked for a specific color of lipstick she attacked like she was asking if they sold a loaf of bread. Obviously she just wanted to know if they had that color or not can you not now the difference between lipstick color or anything else you if can't even give a honest answer yes or no. Then she made her feel uncomfortable and followed me her around like she was going to walk out the door right up till we checked out at the register. You guys need to train your employees to give better customer services when it comes to helping people and make them now the difference between honest and dishonest people that walk through your doors just asking for help.
Went to buy a present for my daughter for Christmas and asked this bald Caucasian male for assistance. He proceeded to tell me basically I was a bad mom for wanting to purchase my daughter make up. Also that he wasn't going to assist me or anyone like me. The thing he fell realize is he doesn't know everyone's story and forcing his opinion on people is not right. He is in the business of selling makeup products and hair products and if he doesn't like his job or agree with the services that he is supposed to be providing. Maybe he's not in the right job. My daughter has been through a lot due to her disability and if she said she want make up then that is what I was going to do for her. If you do go to the Ulta in South Park Meadows please avoid a man called Eric.
I give them 2 stars because I constantly shop here for items, but learned my lesson big time with the salon. I had an appointment for a haircut with someone I had used previously used because I liked that he didn’t take too much length off. When I showed up for my appointment they said “oh your appointment is with ——— (not the person I made the appointment with)” I corrected them and they said he wasn’t in and so they just put me with a new person. Because I needed it cut I decided to just go with the person they had swapped me to. Bad idea, as it turned out to be one of the worst cuts I’ve ever had and she was obviously a beginner. I could have gone to great clips and had the same service for 1/4 of the price.
I shop online at Ulta at least once a month for years, and occasionally drop in the Southpark Meadow Ulta location to check on specific product color or new fragrances. I dropped in the store last week and the cashier greeted "Hi, welcome to Ulta" and after that all the sales associates completely ignored me. Tried to ask for help, but they just walk past me, with zero eye contact. I was going to buy several Urban Decay, Clinique, Bare Minerals and Benefits makeup items but got no help. This Ulta store needs to send their employees for diversity training; not attend to white customers only. I left the store and went to Sephora and did all my shopping there. Spent lots of money and was treated like a customer.
Went in to get highlights , they first looked OK because she straighten my hair my hair is naturally curly. About a week when I washed it the highlights weren’t as bright as I thought started noticing I have several spots that are not highlighted. Only where I have the slit it shows highlights , The back of my hair is way lighter than my front, in my front you can’t notice I have highlights. So I went back asked if they can fix the problem they said no because I had waited too long , I have to pay again for a mistake they did. The girl in the front with colored hair always seems like she doesn’t care. Also I don’t ever get the points .... the lady who style my hair is now retired .
I love Ulta but unfortunately the hairstylist did not deliver when it came to my hair color and layers that I wanted. Prior to starting I asked if I would be able to get the ash brown color desired because of how dark my hair is. They assured me that they would be able to and so we continued with the process. Well after toning it twice, they were still not able to get to the color that I had requested. My hair now has very yellow blond streaks running through it and I am sad to say that I wasn't happy with the experience, because the person its self is amazing. Now I have to pay more money in order to get to what I originally wanted or walk around looking like a bumble bee.
Literally had my hair fried to bits here just after the holidays. I wanted highlights which I’ve had done regularly (not at Ulta) for several years now, and left with hair that was basically white and frizzy, uncontrollably crying. I’ve suffered so much breakage since then as a result, left scrambling trying anything I can to repair damage and regrow the hair I’ve lost. Worst of all, this girl who did my hair apparently wasn’t even fired (I don’t remember her name). Please do yourself a favor and be careful who you let color your hair - anywhere - but never here. Below is a picture of just one of the many pieces of breakage that I have to live with until it fully grows out.
I began the services at ultra in December . I have had multiple problems with the salon staff, master stylist Sheryl. I contacted guest services Frederick told me they denied me as a customer, and did not want to deal with me.what a shame, and how unprofessionall especially in times of unity.this is why I have written a certified letter to Mrs..Mary Dillon for theses types of behaviors in the ultra staff at south park meadows.please be wise and do not enter this salon.they are very unorganized. They also talk about their customers, and screen the phone calls. Not good
I just called at 3:30 PM to inquire about the next available appointment for a balayage or highlight and cut. The person who answered was Brittany and she stated ‘we close at 6 and everyone is busy right now’…. Didn’t offer a solution for a different day or specifically say they are booked for the day. Very unprofessional. I could’ve booked a different day but instead, she basically stated, ‘no, we don’t want your business.’ Not really sure when the miscommunication occurred but this facility is a part of service and a poor one at that.
Wow, what total BS! I walked into the store obviously trying to find a specific brand on the signs (Laura Mercie)... But I was in the way of the short Latina employee with big brows. I moved within half a second and then I had to ask her for what I was looking for. She didn't have the courtesy to even look at me while she spoke to me! Not used to this treatment from Ulta employees. We live in Austin, not a space for people who aren't friendly. Not helpful, not acknowledging me, really not cool. Fix the attitude. I won't be back.
Made an appointment, for a service which was approximate pricequoted online. Perfect, the high price seemed very reasonable. Get to the salon told a price that was MORE than TWICE the high end quoted price. What? WHY, you ask. Well because he wanted to help the customer/friend he had waiting without an appointment. Customer service is poor! How disrespectful of my time and completely unprofessional. If I'm paying $400, I'm going to need so much more than Ulta can provide. This Diamond member won't be back.
Horrible customer service. From the moment you walk through there is a “security” guard looking at you like you are going to steal anything, then you are in line and you have all the employees chitchatting and ignoring the customers. The manager had to come in and tell them “girls you have people waiting in line”. No one offered to assist in the floor. I guess if you don’t have a Gucci or Chanel bag when come in your money is not good here! Do better Ulta, do better! Horrible way of ending my birthday!
Returned some items here a couple of days ago and the girl who worked with me was rude. I returned a shave oil which spilled a bit in my bag and her reaction was over the top. Lol I get it, but it was clearly the product. I also forgot to update my email address and she was rude about that. Overall I wish the customer service at this location was better. In my experience, people haven’t been the friendliest. That experience was the most off putting though. The items they carry are decent.
I had my hair done literally a couple minutes ago and it was honestly not the best experience she didn’t even talk to me my hair didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to and it seemed like my stylist Laura seemed to do my hair in a rush and it didn’t even seem like she cared at all She didn’t even take a look at how I wanted my hair and was basically talking to everyone else but me when I was honestly just like ♀️ Anyways if you’re going to do your hair here get a MASTER hairstylist
Daytime manager is unapologetic and takes zero responsibility even when it’s their fault. Other staff are just plain ignorant about store policies. God forbid you need to return something, they’re only nice to you when you make a purchase. I told this to the manager and she laughed cause she knows it true. On the other hand, Destiny and Yera and the evening manager were extremely helpful and provided excellent customer service. 5 stars to them, will not be shopping here though.
Baby, save your time. Staff always rude. Went recently and quite literally was swept over every time I asked a simple question. Now I can look beyond nasty attitudes if the stock is right, but this location can’t do that neither. I especially recommend that those looking for fragrances go elsewhere. They are always “sold out” of perfumes notably the travel sizes. I might be more understanding if the location was in an area with heavy foot traffic like the domain, but nahhh.
As someone who is new to the state and looking for a solid stylist my husband and I were recommend to a woman Veronica. She was absolutely PHENOMENAL! My husbands hair was cut flawlessly as he is picky with his hair. I had longer hair with curlys and she cut my hair a little longer than my shoulders and I LOVE IT! (I asked for that much to be cut) She was extremely professional and had us laughing the whole time. HIGHLY recommend Veronica at ULTA. Thank you Veronica!
I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Nancy in the makeup dept with the fabulous blue hair. She helped me pick the perfect foundation shade. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my glow and have never had a foundation match so well. (I’m not so good at it ) She also recommended a really great moisturizer and primer. I’m in love with everything and just wanted to say thank you!! I really appreciated her professionalism and time and patience with helping me.
The store was nice and had plenty of things except for MAC make up. The associates were very nice but something stood out to me and I'm uncomfortable mentioning it but I feel like it's important. A few of the associates had noticable body odor and noticibaly dirty clothes. Obviously that doesn't take away from their ability to ring me up or help me, but it is important to look your best for work. Other than that, the store itself is fine - regular amazing Ulta.
Every time I go into this store the employees are incredibly helpful, they don’t make you feel rushed like I often feel at Sephora. Each time I’ve gone in I was looking for something super particular and explained to the employees what I was looking for and they matched it perfectly. The foundation they recommended for me today was exactly what I was looking for. Definitely going to be shopping at this ulta for all my beauty products from now on.
I love ULTA but not this location. Staff doesn't pay attention to you. I just left and no one welcomed me when I walked in or asked if I needed help. I was looking to buy a couple of items today but I guess I will have to drive to a different location. It was not busy so there was no excuse. The place just opened. I was in with my baby so I am not sure if that is why I was not approachable. Everyone else was at least greeted when they walked in.
I had my hair cut by one of their male stylist not only was he rude the entire time he was doing my hair. I asked for my hair to subtly longer in the from than in the back. He took it apron himself to give me choppy layers that get shorter and shorter the father up on the crown of my head. Not at all what I asked for very disappointing because I usually love getting my hair done at Ulta Salons but I will not go back to an Ulta Salon now.
So my wife went to get her haircut today and her hair stylist (Christa) told her "I just ate and now I'm so tired" and while blow drying my wife's hair. Her eyes were closing and she was struggling to stay awake. And now my wife's hair is approximately 6 inches shorter than what she told Christa. You definitely need to make sure your hair stylists pay attention to what they are doing and not messing up people's hair. Terrible service!
Walked in and wasn’t greeted, definitely NOT the first time! Walking around, I hear employees greeting costumers coming in. Employees don’t even bother to ask if I need help, just walk right past me, while I wonder looking lost. Cashier Brandy was extremely rude, the icing on the cake! Definitely not coming back! I live in Bastrop, where we do have an Ulta, I was just in Austin for the day & decided to stop by, waste of time & money.
I went in on a Friday afternoon and it got busy. We were greeted and everyone was in a great mood. I really needed to get my hair cut and made an appointment with Jasmine who was fantastic. I loved my cut and she was so patient cutting my super thick hair while I traded off holding my little ones with my neice. The store has always been clean when I've been in it and there are always tons of fun products to check out.
I usually go to the Ulta in Sunset Valley. They are so great. Unfortunately my experience here wasn't as good. No one greeted me...I looked for staff to ask for a recommendation, but I couldn't find anyone. When I did see someone they seemed to run away! Then when I went to check out the cashiers were chatting with customers and taking forEVER even though the line was piled up. Guess I'll stick to Sunset Valley.
I love Ulta!!! I've said this before and I'll say it again. The products sell themselves. I just walk in and get what I need. Sometimes, it's after work and I look like a hot mess so I get ignored but I don't care, the products sell themselves and I've been coming here longer than some of the employees have been working. I'll be at this store when they are gone. Anyhow, I love Ulta products and the variety.
I hardly get haircuts because of bad experiences. And I finally had to break down because my naturally curly/wavy locks needed some TLC. Osbelia (aka Bella) my stylist was great. I told her what I wanted, and she did exactly what I asked. My hair looks healthy and EVEN! She took her time and made sure I left happy. She straightened my hair thereafter to give me a fresh look out the door. Thank you, Bella!
Showed up early for my appointment. As I'm waiting for my stylist, trying to confirm I didn't mess up the date (I didn't), they cancel the appointment nearly 40 minutes AFTER THE APPOINTMENT should have started. Without even trying to talk to me. It's not like they could've missed me waiting there in the waiting area either. Don't waste your time here. Go to a salon where they value your time.
They did not have the brands I was looking for(revolution beauty & Morphe) and when they got me registered in to the system, days later at Brodie Ln location come to find out they did not input me correctly good thing I had the receipt and got my points in to my account the way I was supposed to at first and I did spent 100+ that day. They need someone better as the cashier.
This is how I left the store after Melanie "styled" my hair. I spent $208. I was supposed to have an appointment with someone else, but when I got there the receptionist said that they had to move me to be with Melanie. I asked for my hair to be highlighted and toned to take out the brassiness, but it looks orange and splotchy. I would never recommend this salon to a friend.
Staff is amazing and the products are obviously good however WTH? I'made an in store purchase and was told that unless I open an account with my phone number and email I can't return items even if I have a receipt. I didn't realize we were dating why do you need ALL my information for me to shop here? I suppose my money isn't enough, you need my data too #pass
As a dude, I'd normally never be caught dead at an Ulta cause with the widest offering of cosmetics on the planet...it looks like a joint catering only to women. I went with my girlfriend to get her hair cut and opted to get mine done too. WOW. They did a great job. I little more cash than I usually spend, but they were highly professional and the cut was amazing.
Erica is awesome! I definitely recommend her. But it should NOT be so hard to set up an appointment online. I had to log in like 5 times and then as soon as I did it would tell me it had timed out and send me to log in again. It was ridiculous. Finally I gave up and waited until they were open to call and set up the appointment. They need to fix their website asap
Went in to get its a 10 hair gel. I was greeted immediately upon walking in the door. I told the associate what I was looking for, and she took me right to it. When I checked out I was given some it's a 10 freebies! Awesome! I was in and out of there in 5 minutes! I haven't always had this experience at Ulta. But this location definitely seems like a good one!
Today is highlight touch up day for my teenager. She's going pink for October, breast cancer awareness month. This is her third time with Abigail. Samantha loves her and Abi is always very sweet. She takes her time with her work and always does a fabulous job. Abi was recently promoted to master stylist. Congratulations to her on the promotion!
Went to the brow bar at South Park meadows location and let me say Yera was amazing!!!!! Super gentle ! Really talked to me about what I wanted and asked me about my brow style and made some suggestions based on my face frame, super happy with my outcome and recommend for anybody to book with her, she’s wonderful! Excellent customer service skills
I love ULTA! It's a one-stop shop for everything beauty related. Hair, face, nails, perfumes and colognes too! Hair salon & you can have a full makeup session with one of their experts! Tons of accessories too for small gifts for co-workers or your babysitter. The staff are very nice and so helpful! You have a question...they've got the answer!
I made an appointment in advance and when I got there was told that there wouldn’t be enough time to do my hair because she had two other appointments after i had specifically scheduled for hair dye. Also seemed like she didn’t care and didn’t even try to help me. Wouldn’t recommend going here, off the bat Melanie had an attitude
I had the pleasure of receiving the 20 min facial from Ms. Allana who was very knowledgeable and kind. She was able to offer helpful tips and product recommendations, as well as some samples, for acne, texture, and hyperpigmentation. She took the time to make sure I was taken care of. 10/10 recommend to book a facial with her.
I was at the M.A.C station and nobody came to help me but a few of the employees stood together by the salon area just watching and talking amongst each other. Just reminded me why I love Sephora much better. Too bad they don't sell M.A.C products, otherwise I wld have walked out. This is very common at this location. …
I've been using this Ulta location for many years to get my haircut Girard Comparan is an amazing stylist. A true artist. Everyone there is warm and friendly and helpful they're like family I love this place the products I get are always just what I need is reasonably priced I love their points system and use that as well
Today I bought make up things that were small. Some were for me and some for a friend. I asked for a bag and they said "No, sorry, we don't have any today" while I saw the person buying next to me getting one and when I left the shop the person after me had one. Why? No wonder why people start buying more things online.
As someone that works in the hospitality industry, this place has hands down the worst customer service ive ever experienced. The girls there are absolutely clueless and pretty rude. It was a struggle finding anyone to help and then when I did, they were awful and 0 help. I will not be returning to this location again.
I had the pleasure of having a 30 minute makeup tutorial with Tony today. She was very professional, friendly, and showed me some great products and easy techniques. I highly recommend this store because there's no pressure to purchase any thing that I did not request. Also the atmosphere was very friendly and casual.
Thank you so much, Cheryl for you time and effort today. I would totally recommend this master hair stylist to anyone who is looking for the perfect cut and color. Cheryl was AMAZING!!! She was sweet and attentive, and at the same time she was quick and efficient. I walked out of Ulta feeling like a million bucks.
I had a blowout appointment with Giselle this morning and she did a beautiful job. She was very professional, but friendly and recommended a deep condition for me, which I really needed. Super quick yet attentive service, and my hair is all set for the next few days. Really appreciate it and will be back again!
Love this Ulta, the employees have always been absolutely lovely and super helpful. It's organized, clean, well stocked, and things are relatively easy to find. If they aren't, there's someone near by willing to assist with ACTUAL knowledge and kindness. Definitely one of my favorites in long time.
I have been taking my girls every other weekend to Destiny and she does a great job every time. My girls are always excited to get their hair done with her and always leave happy. Her work is always neat and done in a timely manner. I highly recommend her if anyone wants to get their hair braided!
Haven't been to an ulta on a while, but I stopped in to grab a couple new products I wanted to try. The staff has always been friendly and helpful if you need it. I just get in my feelings when the product I want is not there...no ones real fault. Over all i have always loved shopping at ulta.
I like going to Ulta when I have no idea what I want to buy! It's like a hair product and beauty superstore. The young staff is so knowledgeable, all I have to do is describe what I am looking for and they always suggest several options. I am never disappointed by the Ulta experience.
Once I was in the store...I was greeted by an employee. Very nice. As I was looking around, I felt hounded. Employees coming up to me every two minutes asking if needed help. I said I was just browsing and one kept coming up to me several times...I'd rather spend my time in Sephora...
Walking into the store nobody greeted me. I was legit walking around for 10 mins looking for an item two workers stared me in my eyes and didn’t say anything to me. One of the workers asked a lady near me if she needed help with anything but never asked. Very trash and unprofessional
I absolutely LOVE Ulta. This location specifically is my favorite because the employees are so freakin' funny and helpful. You could be asking for a specific item and they'll give you a review from their personal use and then a funny story to go along with it. Love it! Haha.
I called to make an appointment for a hair cut. They took me in right away...and Javier did my hair. He was super nice and professional...listened to what I wanted ,cut it to perfection and we had a great conversation. I will go again and highly recommend Javier! Thank you!
Horrible customer service! I order a package online that was delivered damage. Although, I know that is not their fault exactly. I went to this store to gets my products exchanged and it was the worst customer service I received! The cashier was not very helpful at all!
I became uncomfortable while I was trying to shop at this location of Ulta. The employees seemed to be following me around and watching me my I was doing something wrong. I felt like they thought I was trying to steal something! So, I left without purchasing anything!
I’m used to friendly employees at the front of the store greeting you and asking if you need help finding anything. That was not the case here. The two people who were on the sales floor were sitting in the makeover chairs talking to each other. Thanks for the help...
Got a keratin treatment at the salon with Javi yesterday and I’m so glad I did! He knew exactly what to do and took his time. I can already see how much smoother my hair is and how much easier it’ll be to maintain, this excites me since I have crazy wild hair. …
A lot a things to buy. As you enter the store sometimes they greet you. The staff doesn't bother you while shopping but if you ha e some question theres nobody near you to help. Love the variation of product. I don't mind buying at the store with time in my hands.
This is an easy location to get in and out of. There is always ample parking and good shopping around. They have a friendly staff, and they have great haircuts! There is a pleasant atmosphere and always eager-to-help staff. One of the best Ultas in town.
I had the most precious cashier. I wish I had gotten his name because I'm certain we could be BFFs. If anyone knows the amazing young man who's winged eyeliner was ON POINT Friday evening, please pass along his name. I need more of him in my life.
Manager was disrespectful. She proceeded to watch my mother and I the moment we entered the store as she was upset we handled the tester (when there where no signs on display that said otherwise). Would not return if you are a person of color!
I could hear the manager, Jocelyn, talking poorly about another one of the guests. If you plan on managing people and teaching your employees to be kind and hospitable, I shouldn't be able to hear the latest gossip on someone's "bad" make up.
I had an amazing experience today at Ultra Hair. It was my first time there, and I can confidently say that I won't be going anywhere else from now on. Osbelia, my stylist, was incredibly welcoming and lovely. She not only helped me choose
Yolanda is fantastic and I’ve been coming here for just over a year. I’ve found my person and I couldn’t be happier! I’d love to give a 5-star rating for the salon, however, the salon no longer offers water to their patrons. Poor Yolanda
They literally NEVER have any products restocked the shelves are ALWAYS empty. I came 2 weeks ago before my visit today they had the same lol of inventory. Almost no Mac lip liners, Kylie concealers, & almost not a single KKW lip liner.
Went into the store today to grab a few items and was checking out with Destiny. She was so amazing and friendly. Coming to Ulta sometimes usually they just try to get you in and out at the check out lane. But she was super friendly!
Very clean store with many employees eager to help customers. Great customer service and knowledgeable employees available at all times. So many great beauty items to choose from. Makeup artists on hand and hair stylists too!
I went in today and had an associate named Khari who gave me great customer service and was very sweet!!! I asked her for recommendations on curtain things and she showed me some options and had me leaving happy! Hard worker
Great experience! I came in with a bad haircut I got at another Ulta store and Ash squeezed me in near closing time and did exactly what I wanted, and just did an amazing job. As long as Ash works here, I will be returning!
Everyone was very helpful. The assistant store manager took her time and showed me each product. Walked throughout the store educating me on certain Skincare products that met my needs. I of course got a little extra.
Got my haircut by Yolanda today at the Ulta salon! I was able to get an appointment quickly and was in and out with a wash, layered cut, and blowout for a very reasonable price. Thank you, I will be back :-)
Ulta has just about the worst customer ever. The employees were very rude and disrespectful. I would not recommend going there and expecting nice customer service but the prices are very nice and reasonable
My hair got messed up twice with ulta. Don't worth any cents of yours on their salon, maybe just hair cut. The dirtiest ulta I have been to, never been that clean or stock up more of products right away.
I love Ulta, and this is a good location. The staff hasn't always been the most friendly, but it's still a pretty good place to stop in. I always check out their coupons in advance! Great little deals.
As a single father i needed a little help with the finer points of make-up for my girls, all the staff was eager to assist and answer all my questions. Then help my girls with tips on brushes and such.
The bathrooms were really sub par but the young lady who helped me at the counter tonight was so helpful and sweet. Plus the store and shelves are so clean. I'll definitely make this my regular store.
Great customer service here. Somebody is always checking in and making sure I'm finding everything I need. I wasn't able to find what I wanted, but they were happy to show me things that were similar.
Sierra was extremely helpful and patient with me during check out. I had several gift cards and was holding up the line, she even called another location to help me find the items I was looking for.
I love Ulta, I just I can’t complain about anything. Everybody who works there is really nice and kind. They always help me with everything that I need and have all the products that I need.❣️
I'm in line checking out. This guy and girl runs in grabs 2 bags. They start filling them up with perfume and runs out. No one even tried to stop them. Don't feel safe in this shopping center.
Every time I go there and ask him for mail samples of clones they don't give you any how can a man find out what cologne he likes if they don't give him the good couple of samples at least two
Everyone was very helpful! Even though they were out of some of the products I was searching for, they helped me find which nearby stores have those items in stock! Would recommend …
