The main reason for going to ULTA on the 22nd of December 2022, was to have Manda cut, style my hair and wax my brows, upper lip and chin. My dear readers, I've never expected to feel what Manda did when she was finished!!! Ohhh mmyy!! Manda had waxed my face. Let me tell ya'll something, my face felt like a baby's rear when she was done. At this ULTA, where Osaka Japanese Restaurant is located, Manda takes really good care of me and she will take good care of you too. She is the BEST there and has a very bubbly personality and is very compassionate toward others. She will talk with you. If you have any questions concerning your hair issues, Manda will answer them. Please excuse my long review. I had to state what needed to be put down in this post to help everyone. This ULTA is normally not as crowded with merchandise, however, all the aisles and the entrance need to be clear!! Now, getting back to the subject of Manda, from experience, whenever I wasn't feeling well, she would worry about me and I would worry about her. She is a wonderful person. Manda is a terrific hair stylist and colorist. She's FULL of knowledge about the hair, the care of your hair and getting and keeping your hair healthy. Manda cares for her clients. Remember that!!!! The reason why I gave that ULTA only 4 s was very obvious. 1) Whether someone is wheelchair bound or not, there are numerous obstacle issues that cause monerverability problems throughout the layout of this store. The staging is all wrong. And, 2) The front entrance door may be wide enough to open for someone in a wheelchair, but how are they going to go through those normal doors smoothly?! The owners or the people in the corporate office truly have to install doors to accommodate the handicapped, and, rearrange the layout of their displays. Aisles are too narrow!!! I've experienced these aisles firsthand by having to walk through them sideways. It's difficult to manipulate yourself through w/little to no physical hindrances. However, when you have physical, neurological problems, balance issues(which I have), you my precious readers will understand. Customers in s or use walkers, need that space and a handicapped door. The personnel are friendly, sweet and knowledgeable about the products in each of their "zones " Even the cashiers are peppy and friendly, most of the time. Happy blessed New Year everyone!!!!! May God bless all of ya'll!! Take care of yourselves.
One of the workers might be racist. Possible reach but a good opening. Thought of giving 2 stars instead of 1 because I wasn't being watched like a hawk there, but then the judge-y and negligent workers override that 2 with a 1. Pretty clean store. Some of the display items were jumbled around and in the wrong spots but it was the end of the day so maybe they just don't fix things up throughout the day. There were two or three employees that were just chatting in the back of the salon area about their hair, which would be fine- but it was for an extended period of time (over 20 minutes) and not offering help to any customers even after they were done chatting. Specifically the one that was wearing a "lab coat", looked straight at me and kept on walking without even shooting me a smile or something. The MAIN issue I have is one of the people that worked behind the cash register (but also left to go look at products) was trying to help my friend (that had to ask her for help) search up something and was being snippy with her. But then lightened up and went in depth trying to help my friend find what they were looking for when my friend excused their attitude they had and was being very upbeat, the kind and lively person my friend is. (better than me... I would have immediately stopped talking to her as soon as she changed her tone negatively and cut her words short as if she was too tired to answer one short question) I don't know her name... but she had caked on makeup, maybe 35 in age- 5'3 in height. But what I noticed that hit me the most is that as she was looking up the product my friend was looking for, she looked at the people entering the store which was an African American woman with a stroller and like 4 kids that weren't ill mannered- and the worker made a disgusted face. Girlllll bye- that made me gag internally when the worker did that. What a nasty attitude if you aren't "up to her standards" or real peachy to her even when she isn't to you. I can also tell the worker that was checking me out was judging the f- out of me but trying not to hahaha. My bad, I always look unkempt LOL! But yeah, she was being fake by hesitantly asking how my day was and not wanting to look at me after she took one good look as I was walking up to the register. Probably won't go back to this store anytime soon, but thanks.
Went there today to look for Makeup Revolution foundation. I wandered around for quite a while with no employee (which I saw two cashiers as well as one other employee that seemed miserable with her life and, or job) asking me if I needed assistance. Which I did. So, I walk up to the front and politely asked one of the employees if she knew where Makeup Revolution products were. She looked and me and pointed towards the makeup (on left side of store), and proceeds to tell me it's over there somewhere. It's really upsetting as a paying customer to be told yeah it's over there somewhere. I finally found it (on my OWN) and was browsing because I had noticed they didn't have it (it's not being sold in the store there). She walked up to me and asked me if I found what I was looking for and proceeded to sound more clueless when I told her it's foundation and it didn't look like they have the product. So at that point she wandered away. I proceeded to look around at other products. Their products (specifically Ulta's line of makeup) was severely out of order, not organized, looked disheveled, and to me was not acceptable. I found some different products and went to go checkout because I was annoyed with the lack of help, the lack of organization, and had three kids with me. I am in line and the customer prior to me decided to chat with one of the cashiers. The second cashier proceeded to have a conversation with the customer. So, both cashiers just chit chatting with previous customer while I wait with three kids in line already annoyed. I'd rather purchase online and pay shipping than ever go back to this disorganized store with cashiers/employees that are inconsiderate, rude, and seem to not know where to find things. I most likely won't return to this location. Hopefully others will have better luck there and better customer service.
Please forgive me, but I do not remember the young ladies name that helped me when I went into the Oakleaf Ulta store Saturday December 14th. When I went in, I approached the first lady I came across. I told her I would like to be shade matched for Bare Minerals. She took me back to the bare mineral section and I sat down. She pulled out 2 different Bare Mineral Pro compacts and took a little and dabbed it on my left and another shade on my right cheek. She gave her opinion and said the one on the right looks a little too light and the one on the left looks good. She handed me the mirror and asked what I thought, I agreed with her opinion. She started to put them back in the box and said you are #5 Fairly medium and handed me the box. I asked her what the difference was in the Pro and the Original, she said one is compact and one is loose, it's personal preference. I said okay can you match me for the loose? She walked over grabbed one an dabbed it on my forehead. She said this one is it and handed me the box. I said okay do you have the original starter pack? She walked over and looked and said they don't have your color in store, maybe try online (when they don't even have #5 Fairly Medium in the original starter pack) and then she said can I help you with anything else? No thank-you! I guess what disappoints be about this visit is I drove all the way from Green Cove Springs and I figured she would have taken more time. Perhaps she could have put more effort by doing my whole face and showing me how good it would have looked. Maybe I should have been more clear as to what I was wanting, but I felt as if I was being rushed. I made the trip and was willing to spend money. I ended up leaving with nothing and three shades of Bare Minerals on my face.
Dear Ulta Customer Service, I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent visit to your Oakleaf Town Center location. While I appreciate the assistance and attention given by your employees, I wanted to express my concerns about an issue that made me feel uncomfortable during my shopping experience. On June 15th, my sister and I entered the store with the intention of browsing and making a purchase. However, I was repeatedly approached by multiple employees who asked if I needed help, even after I politely declined their assistance. While I understand that customer service is important, the frequency at which I was asked began to feel excessive and intrusive. Additionally, what made me even more uncomfortable was the sense that there was a presumption that I was going to steal. The employees seemed to hover around me and closely monitor my movements, which created a hostile and unwelcoming atmosphere. As a customer who has never engaged in any form of theft, this assumption was not only unfounded but also demeaning. I believe that it's essential for customers to feel respected, trusted, and valued during their shopping experience. Unfortunately, the behavior of the employees I encountered at Ulta contradicted these principles. I hope that by bringing this matter to your attention, you can address it and ensure that future customers have a more positive experience. It would be greatly appreciated if you could reinforce training and policies to prevent this type of uncomfortable situation from occurring again. I genuinely value Ulta as a store and hope that my concerns can contribute to its continuous improvement. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback.
The cashier was extremely rude and unprofessional. To begin with, she let two people skip the 7 people who were waiting in line. When I finally got to the register, the design of the area leaves no counter space to put items down for check out. The cashier very rudely asked, “Are you ready to check out?” My reply was, “ Of course I am, why else would I be standing here?” She then rudely replies, “Well you’re still holding your stuff.” I start to hand it to her, and she asks for my phone number. When I start to give it to her, she interrupts me and says, “You need to slow down and repeat yourself.” By this time, I’m really irritated, but I repeat myself. She finishes scanning my items, and I tell her I have a coupon. I hold up my phone and she holds up a scanner. I thought she had scanned it and started to put my phone away when she snarls, “I wasn’t done yet.” I took the phone back out and hold it up for her to complete entering the coupon. I then asked the cashier why she was being rude, and if there was a problem. She then says, “I’m not being rude. I’m here working.” I asked to speak to the manager. Her reply is, “She’s in the back. Do you want to talk to her?” I said yes, but she didn’t make any effort to get the manager. I had to go to Walgreens before the pharmacy closed to pick up a prescription for my son, otherwise I would have stuck around and insisted to speak to the manager. Before I left, I told the cashier that she really needed to work on her customer service skills. I love Ulta and their products. Any other time I’ve been there, the staff were super nice and helpful. I am seriously considering taking my business elsewhere.
I don’t write a lot of these, but I couldn’t go without praising Mandi Ratcliff, a stylist in the salon. My normal stylist couldn’t keep my appointment, and I was put with Mandi at the last minute. I was really skeptical because I haven’t had a lot of good experiences with other stylist in the area, and having finally found one, I was disappointed to say the least. Normally I would have waited for my normal stylist, but due to an event I have coming up, I couldn’t wait, so I agreed to keep my appointment with Mandi. Upon sitting down with Mandi, I instantly felt at ease. She took her time through my consultation, and really understood what I was trying to achieve. I’m going lighter and trying to blend my grey hair with my blonde hair. She spent so long on my hair, and it was simply because she took her time to really give me hair that I loved. To say she succeeded is any understatement. My hair looks amazing and I was SO impressed. I was more so impressed by her customer service, though. I was exhausted just sitting there that long, so to know that she spent so long on me, standing the whole time, and remained so patient and kind through the whole thing was truly commendable. HIGHLY recommend.
This store is barely ever stocked. If you're looking for Tarte, Urban Decay, or Morphe products, you're better off ordering on line. The drug store section is a mess and bare. You'd be better off going to the Target next door. The testers throughout the store are a mess especially in the Nyx, Morphe, and Colour Pop sections. You can't even test the Nyx foundations because the pumps don't work. The Morphe blushes and eye shadow testers look off colored, as if they've been there a long while and have been sprayed one too many times with alcohol. Their make-up brushes selection, from any brand (higher end to drug store) is slim pickings as well. Unless you want Ulta brand brushes, those oddly enough are fully stocked! They don't carry nearly half of the products that other Ultas, that I've been to, do. Instead of one star, I gave it two because I am always greeted by the person at the register when I walk in but, the employees walking around are never helpful and quite honestly, seem annoyed when you do ask for help. I continue to go with hopes that they've improved since my last visit, only to be disappointed every time.
On 12/9, I purchased a Christmas gift (perfume) for my daughter. I went in the store on 12/12 to pick it up and the confirmation was no where to be found in their system (according to the manager and her employees). No one, not even the manager tried to help resolve my issue. They all kept telling me “you must be at the wrong location” when I’m showing them the Oakleaf Towncenter location on the freaking email. After 5 minutes of them acting like they cared, the manager told me “it’s nothing that we can do and you’ll have to call customer service”. I called, gave the lady the my confirmation number, and somehow she was able to pull it up. She told me what I purchased and how it was paid for. Customer service contacted me back and told me that my order had been picked up on the same day that I placed the order. This was crazy, because I NEVER went to the store and if you have to show ID, how can someone just take your things. However, it’s Christmas Eve and no one has tried to help me and my daughter won’t have her gift because of inconsiderate and irresponsible employees/manager.
I will split this review into two parts, one for the store and one for the salon. Ulta Beauty Store : I find this to be a very cramped store but maybe it's the times that I go, however they are almost always fully stocked on the items I want to purchase. I don't normally ask for assistance with cosmetics but I'm always greeted and asked if I need assistance. All around good customer service on the storefront. The Salon at Ulta : I've come to the salon at Ulta on multiple occasions and have always been beyond satisfied with my Stylist Delia. Delia is everything I wanted in a stylist. She is like one of your best friends when you're in her chair and I love her and that aspect of how she treats her clients. She's always done precisely what I asked and it always looks just like the reference picture I bring her. I'm beyond thrilled to have a stylist that I mesh so well with. Her cut & color are always perfection. The prices are more than competitive compared to other salons and the overall experience is what keeps me coming back to this Salon. I highly recommend.
Went into the Oakleaf location to buy some Clinique products..I was going to buy some foundation but didnt want the hassle of having to return it just in case it didnt work out so I wanted in line. When it was my turn I asked a cashier with spider web lashes if I could get a sample of the foundation. She was a bit apprehensive, pauses for a couple of moments, and then took a loud exhale (lol) before she looked for the sample containers. From her behavior I told her that I wanted to try it 1st just in case I dint like it..she said "thats fine as long as you dont just come in here often to and get samples as to not buy"..I looked at her and waited for a laugh..No laugh..wth..So I then added a bit of small talk to get my mind of whatever had just happened..I made my $80 purchase and then left..This was on my mind all last night and this morning..So here I am making you all aware of how your workers conduct themselves in your establishment..This was very unprofessional and condescending!!!!!!
Not an easy return! I bought two big bottles of Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner with about $80 on my card and $50 on a gift card. Like most places they refund the money ($80) back to your card and give you store credit for the remainder ($50), which is what I was happy with. Nope! Not today. They refunded all the money ($130) back to store credit and refused to give me my $80 or so back to my card. I’m a rewards member and they have all my receipts on file so there should’ve been no reason to give me 100% in store credit when they have all the information. And to call customer service they keep dropping your call. Don’t ever think you’ll get back what you paid for with your own money it’ll all go to store credit. They must be hurting for money to keep all your money. Very disappointing!!!! Even the manager at this store didn’t care to help or talk to customer service while I had them on the phone.
My wife shops here quite often and I frequently purchase gifts for her at this location as well. In the past the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I remember when they used to greet you as you come through the door but today that's non-existent in my experience. This isn't just a one off either. This has been consistent now for about a year. Just recently I was there with my wife and one employee literally walked passed us about 5 times never speaking or asking if we needed assistance. However, they assisted everyone else around us and even the customer directly beside us. They did so without ever acknowledging us. We didn't need the help but honestly customer service goes a long way when it comes to retention of customers. You want your customers to feel welcome in your store. Would love to see the culture go back to one of being friendly, inviting and helpful.
The manager of the salon, Nicole, was very rude and not empathetic or understanding at all. I booked clipper cut over the phone, was not told about tiers of pricing, and then when we got there she just started cutting his hair and never mentioned anything. She accused me of trying to get a free haircut when I told her upfront a few times I don't want it free I want to pay for what I asked for. The last time I got his hair cut it was $25. I understand inflation but $70 was not expected Or we wouldn't have gone to get the hair cut. She rolled her eyes at me, and gaslit. Saying she didn't. Also the hair stylist Manda made him uncomfortable and talked bad about the other stylists and told my disabled bf to stop seeing a doctor and go to a holistic one. Anyways I'm not allowed to go there anymore because I wanted to pay for what I asked for. Brianna was very kind however.
The fragrance section needs improvement. I’m so tired of going to Ulta in Oakleaf in hopes that maybe for once they’ll have the fragrances I’m looking for. I’m disappointed every time. You guys have unopened boxes of certain perfumes, but no testers to see what they smell like. And likewise, there are open testers of other certain perfumes, but none that we can purchase. The shelves are so sparse and empty looking. At first I thought, well perhaps they just need a restock. But this has been the case for almost A YEAR NOW. I’m not gonna keep coming back. No excuses for everything at this location to constantly be out of stock. Don’t blame it on Covid, because other Ulta locations have them in stock, as well as Sephora, but I have to drive much farther to go anywhere else. I guess I’ll just have to make the drive elsewhere! This location has really gone downhill.
I was there last weekend and decided to get a color match. I noticed a lack of employees who were dark skinned WOC/POC but I kept open mind. The BA who did my color match was nice but the shades she was trying to talk me into were waaay too light. Even my husband(who is very fair skinned ) who usually doesnt get involved with my makeup shopping noticed and voiced his concern. And when we checked out, I had at least 3 or 4 things and was given such a small bag everything was falling out. As a licensed beauty professional who has over 5 years experience in the industry, I was shocked. I think this location should consider hiring more dark skinned WOC beauty advisors or make sure the employees who aren't have at least some experience working with skin tones darker than a brown paper bag. I've never had this experience at the Ulta's outside of this area. Goodness.
So, I walk in to buy some tinted moisturizer and Laura helps clean my face and match me. Then, I notice that my brows are a mess and she tells me about the Ulta Mastercard while taking me to Stephanie to tame my brows. I look in the mirror to check them out and then see all my greys are showing!! Stephanie then books my color and cut with Karen!! I had an amazing morning with this crew. I look and feel great!! The only thing is...I remembered Laura telling me the perks of the credit card so while my hair was processing I applied on my phone. I didn't realize Sweet Laura wouldn't get credit for the sale. I was just sitting there bored so I did it. I wish I would have waited til checkout so she could have gotten credit. She was great at explaining everything and really was helpful to me. Thank you to the whole team for turning my $20 day into soooo much more!
Manda is a great young lady with the best hands to cut your hair. I love that she is professional and I can’t have more words to say thank you for the great job that you always do with my hair. I remember when I met you I was basically crying because a young lady from Another hair salon in Southside damaged my long and beautiful hair. My hair was burn and for two years I was so up set and mad at my self for went to that other salon and place my hands on someone that not deserve to be working with hair. But Manda was like a Angel that with her treatments and dedication make my beautiful hair come back to live and makes me so happy again. Thank you Manda and God always bless you. See you soon girl. 100% recommended.❤️
I won't be visiting again ever. I came in to pick up a late order and went immediately to the counter.. I was asked every piece of information about the order by a young choppy blonde and then was told that needed to show my ID for proof. The gift was less than $30. An older woman with black hair and black high heeled boots was casually sweeping by me and asked if I had been help. To which I replied other girl just needed to see my ID. To which she responded rudely "yeah that's what I'm saying I'm trying to help you". Brushed off her attitude, but I would not feel comfortable going back in there as a person of color. I just felt interrogated to pick up an order that I had already paid for.
Mandi R and Riley were super sweet and it was funny because I remembered Riley from hair school. She’s always very sweet and funny. And mandi was so sweet and gave me and my daughter the prefect hair cuts. She also was very professional and I loved how she checked her work after both hair cuts. We will be back in June to get our hair done again. It’s very rare you find hairstylist like Mandi and Riley. Riley didn’t do our hair however her and Mandi were really great to be around after having a stressful morning that day. They made it that more better. Thank you Mandi and Riley. See y’all in June. Everyone should definitely go to Ulta in oakleaf ask for one of them. You won’t regret it.
My overall experience was horrible with the salon. I did like the lady that did my hair, but even so felt I was charged for services I did not get. Even making the appointment, in person, was horrible. The woman at the counter made no eye contact with me, did not answer any questions I had and was just flat out rude. I was under the assumption that I had paid for certain services but only to pay them again at a later appointment. I could have done this myself at Sally's for a fraction of the cost. Even contacted the customer service and still no help. Will not reccomend to anyone, ever, to use this salon.
I wish I could leave no stars, but that's not possible. This location left me extremely dissatisfied. Aside from the young lady at the register (who was the only employee helping customers) greeting welcoming me to Ulta not a single employee spoke to me. I've never experienced such poor customer service. I had questions and needed assistance choosing products. After wandering in the same 2 isles of the store for about 15 mins. And looking at the 2 employees carrying on a personal conversation numerous times. I decided I will be taking my business to Sephora where I know I will be treated better.
I went to the Ulta hair salon and saw Riley S. What a game changing experience! She is a fantastic stylist. Very up front, kind, and funny! She made magic out of my hair transformation. She gave me all the tips and tricks. I left feeling beautiful and not disappointed or taken advantage of. I love that Ulta gives full transparency of pricing up front so that you don’t have that end of session price anxiety. The consultation process allows for you to adjust as need be, to be realistic with your budget and what you are wanting to achieve. I will certainly be going back. Highly recommend her!
I went to Ulta to get more nail polish and on a whim I decide that after a year of growing my brows out that I would get them done. Luckily, Stephanie Trahan had a few extra minute to spare for me since I didnt have an appointment. My brows were a uneven patchy mess. She did such an amazing job fixing my eyebrows and she actually asked me what style/shape brows I wanted instead of just giving me whatever shape like most places. She was also very gentle considering that she was waxing and plucking my brows. I will definitely be going back to Stephanie Trahan for all of my future brow services.
Customer Service is non-existent at this store. All Ulta Store Managers have the discretion to authorize an even exchange (on an unused product) without a receipt. This Store Manager did not. An unintelligent decision by this Manager not only cost this store, but the Ulta Corporation as well, years of revenue from a very Unsatisfied Customer. Ulta is a company that only resells products from major manufacturers, so Customer Service is all they actually own--so I would rather buy beauty products from a company that actually values customers, than step foot in this store again.
This Ulta has stepper their game up. They are a better location than the St John's Towncenter because they are cleaner, well maintained, well stocked, and always have enough people on the floor. However they dont have a brow bar or carry as many products. But the products they do carry are not ruined, opened, swatched, and like I said they are stocked fairly well. Great for drug store or high end makeup, haircare, or skincare. Always check the app for coupons or deals, and their rewards program is 100 times better than competing makeup stores.
My daughter and wife went to ulta in oakleaf today to receive money back for a gift from my sister. They had decided the product would not work and they would just get the money back. They had the receipt which was one day old and the item when they went back. The manager on duty would not give cash and would only give a store credit. This only allows my daughter to spend her money with only them. This shows little integrity on a companies part. They had already spent over 200.00 dollars there in one day. They took advantage of my daughter.
I’ve lived in the Oakleaf community/area for over 12 years and I have to say that the Ulta in the Oakleaf Town Center tops my list for THE WORST customer service if you are someone with, let’s just say darker skin. There’s now been a few occasions where I have been looked over for other customers to be helped. Once you get to the cashiers the service is okay; and I do mean just okay. After my most recent experience this last visit, I will not be spending anymore money with Ulta. The blatant disregard and judgement is completely disgusting.
It’s not the same since we can’t try the samples now but completely understood. However the day I was there they were putting packing tape over the front of every row items so that you couldn’t use the sample. They were closed for two months so I feel like they could have come up with a better option and that loud noise the packing tape makes was the worst. That should have been done before the customers showed up. One of my favorite stores though and I’m sure they will come up with a more permanent solution if they haven’t already.
I am person who believes customer service is the most important part of your job when you deal with the public. If I can walk into a fast food restaurant and get greeted, then why can’t I walk into a supposedly great beauty store and get greeted? No one asked me if I needed assistance while I was in the store the whole time I was in the store. With Amazon and other websites to order from online you would think the management would Stress how customer service is to everyone and anyone who walks through the doors of the establishment.
Worst customer service ever! I go here because it's the closet ulta near my house. Everytime I go in there the associates are so rude. They don't talk to you. They're always in a group having their back turned to customers. I had to wait 20 mins cause they were busy talking instead of someone helping me at the checkout. When i finally got to someone she was on a phone and said get someone else to help you. She should of told one of her other 3 employees there to freaking ring me up instead of talking not doing their dam job?!!!!!
Kaitlyn G. did a FANTASTIC job with my hair! She was extremely kind and knowledgeable with hair! She answered all of my questions and made me feel at home and made sure to ask if I needed water or anything frequently. This was the first time I went to get balyadage and short hair cut, WITH MY TIGHT CURLY TEXTURED HAIR. SHE DID AN AMAZING JOB, MY HAIR WAS NO ISSUE FOR HER. My husband loves my new look and I'm so thankful for this amazing stylist. I wish nothing but good things to come to her! She deserves it!
This Ulta is usually my go-to location but will no longer be. I called to asked if the Boscia face wash was in stock and the associate instantly said yes. I was a bit skeptical because they no longer sell it in most Ulta locations and I previously checked a few weeks ago.. I called to be sure. I went in and all they had was a kit with mini sized Boscia products provided. I am upset because they’ve done this about three times to me!! Workers should be more accurate about what they tell customers. SMH!
We go here way too much. The store is very nice and clean but most of the employees are very cold and blunt honestly. When it gets late they come up to tell me to hurry up or pretend I'm invisible entirely. I wanted to leave a good review today though because we found an eyeshadow palette we liked and had one woman actually find us one in the back and then Kat was absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable in makeup and helped find us more things to buy which actually made today's visit very good.
Morgan Powers was my stylist. I had asked for a cut and style appointment and the receptionist booked her with me. She reccomended to me the butterfly cut and I had also wanted curtain bangs which I thought would look good. My hair has not looked this good in many years! I loved what she did and she was nice and friendly and professional. Also gave me good advice on how to style it at home. HIGHLY Reccomend her!! I saw her in the Gainesville Ulta but she is moving to this location next week.
Took my daughter shopping for her birthday to spend her gift card. She’s never been to the store and it was her first time she bought a perfume and of course they have their sample sizes out with their price tag, then their hand at the box and check out then you open the box and it’s a super tiny little thing that doesn’t match at all and there’s no description. Very intentionally deceiving. We won’t be back my daughters, very disappointing for her birthday gift and that’s not cool with me.
Made an appointment at Ulta (Oakleaf) this morning just to get my hair straightened and my ends clipped. When I told the stylist (Karen) my name she said "oh your booked with me" and I said okay. She then said "I don't do ethnic people hair" and proceeded to tell me there was one person in the whole of the salon that does "ethnic" hair but wouldn't be in until the afternoon. She blunt, matter of fact, I don't do "ethnic hair". How are you a stylist and can only do one type of hair. Sigh....
I love Ulta, its honestly one of my favorite stores, but I don't know what the deal is with this one. This store is constantly a mess and always has a low inventory of literally everything. I can't tell you how many times I have gone to this store looking for something specific like for instance sunscreen by Cotz, and it was sold out, or I came down there to get some face powder and the shelves were completely empty. The sales people are not helpful either, this store needs new management.
This place is my, "kid in a candy store", type of place to me...lol What can I say other than there is something for every budget. Every girlie girl and/or girlie boys dream. Wide selection of products. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because their customer service standards are hit or miss. Most of the employees are kind and eager to be accommodating but a couple of them act like they need the corn cob removed from their posterior regions. Yeah, I said what I said...lol
Ulta Beauty Salon with Riley and Karen stylists are terrific. Service is exceptional! Riley was good to fit myself in Saturday afternoon at the last hour. She did a glaze and a great conditioner and blow out looks wonderful. It was my Birthday and she mentioned that Ulta gives Birthday humans a prize. When I checked out my prize was a mascara primer by Lancome. I've never used one. As I was doing my makeup for the day, I used my new product. Wow, what a Pleasure to use.
I have been hairdresser shopping for the past few years (my hairdresser moved away). My friend told me to go to Ulta. I made an appointment with Tiffany J and was NOT disappointed! The first words my mom said to me when she saw me was “Your hair looks even and great!”. She is new favorite stylist! I also wanted to say a shout out to Joy (I think that is her name. She checked me in and checked me out). She was super nice and personable! It was a great experience!
Justin (his name might be Jason or Justin) was so helpful when I came in to look for a full coverage foundation for tattoos. The lady that I asked for help, only showed me the location to look at. When Justin offered assistance, he asked me questions to better help suggest products & was extremely friendly. I would have gotten the wrong product for my situation if it wasn't for Justin being genuinely helpful. The five stars are specifically for him.
I love shopping in Ulta beauty 9625 Crosshill BlVd Jacksonville FL I always get my skin and hair care products and I found my stylist who is very nice and absolutely good when it comes to taking care of the hair the first time I met her and do the job I never change stylist because I know I am in a good hand to Jenny Callahan your one of a kind stylist and very knowledgeable I can really tell that. Thank you for taking care of my hair ❤️.
Yall kidding me? Carol took one look at me and "nailed" my color foundation, concealer and powder. Throwing out "all" other attempts to do so without Carol's expertise and mastery. Will NEVER go anywhere else. Cannot wait for the 4/30 Eye Serum Release. Lifetime aging traveler; teacher thus wished to feel more like my younger self when presenting. I now will call first to assure she is there before visiting again. Thank you so much. -TJ
I agree with the horrible customer service. I've been here three times. I've never been greeted, the workers are VERY snobby, and when I did need help all of the employees were at the front counter talking. Try looking into your staff, and maybe not hiring 18 year old girls who act like they are above everyone else because they wear a pound of make up and they think they look "cute." I'll never be back to this store.
Everyone in here was extremely rude. They were closing in like 10 minutes but quite literally rushing us out. This woman said “excuse me and we close in ten minutes thank you!” and rushed passed us. Then came back up to us 5 minutes later and said “just to let you know we close in 5 minutes” can you not harass your customers while they’re shopping?? Thanks. Even the checkout girls were rude and had nasty attitudes.
It was kinda sad seeing so many young little girls walking around covered in heavy layers of makeup.... Not to mention the prices for this stuff is Outrageous. Against my better judgement I purchased a few items, but ended up not liking them as much once I got them home. (waste of money!) So I won't be returning. Ps: you're beautiful just the way you are! But if you like Sephora, you'll like Ultra.
I love this place! Great customer service, it feels like you’re walking into a professional yet friendly home where everyone is smiling and always helpful. Every time I go in, it’s a great group of people! I want to thank Justin for always having such great advice on what tones and best products for my skin, he is a major asset to this company! I look forward to shopping again in the near future!
Five stars all around. I've shopped at this store since 2017 when I got my first makeup product. Today was my first salon experience and it was amazing I felt so pampered. Cami was my stylist and she did the best job ever on my hair. She showed me tricks and products to use on my hair. Then I browsed the store abit and the ladies are super nice. You cant beat great service and products.
This location is very professional. I was greeted the SECOND I walked in. The willingness to help was amazing. After I walked in and began my shopping, I witnessed other customers coming in and being serviced exceptionally. I was honestly amazed. The entire staff was amazing but I only got the names of Emily & Bri. They made my visit wonderful & I will be sure to return. Well done Ulta.
The staff was AMAZING & the store has a great selection. I wish I could remember the girl’s name who helped me( she was so sweet!) , she took her time to make sure I had what I needed and helped match my shade for me in Tarte’s Shape tape foundation ( if you haven’t bought any, get some! It’s amazing too!) I will definitely be back, I’m so glad they are close by!
I was told to order in the parking lot and pull up since they are only doing curbside pick-up. Ok cool I thought but next thing you know they made me wait saying that I would get an email when it was ready. Hmmmmmm still sitting here and there has only been one pick up and as far as I can see there are 3 people inside just hanging out
Poor customer service. I asked 2 employees for assistance color matching was told on 3 occasions they would be right back, never returning. After making my choices and sending close to 200.00. I told the cashier about my experience. Acting concerned but did not act in anyway to resolve the issue. Won't be going back to this store
The employees of this Ulta made me feel uncomfortable shopping here by following me, standing in my proximity pretending to shop and excessively asking if I needed assistance more than 4 times. They acted as if I was planning to commit theft and made me extremely uncomfortable. I felt stereotyped and am deeply disappointed. :(
Customer service is 50/50. Either they have no clue about cosmetics or they are trying way too hard to push products on you. They usually always seem to have the things I need in stock. You usually have to ask if you have any points to redeem. They seem to not want to tell you that you can save some money with your points.
Employees are the sweetest! Always so helpful. Ariana who works register especially. I was going to exchange a product that didn’t work for me, and while they didn’t have the product I was looking for in stock, they offered store credit or a refund onto my card & gave me a free shipping card so I could order it online.
Everything u need to be glamorous and beautiful! Lots of great things, all about make-up, bath, fragrances, cases to keep and organize ur items! Employee helpful and thoughtful ( they let u browse without being overwhelming the customers!) Pricey but excellent selection and quality products! My granddaughter's pic!
Had a problem with my hair. A wonderful employee by the name of Katt was so kind and caring helped me. Even did a hair treatment on my hair. And guided me on routines I should follow and which products to use. Loved the caring heart and sweet attitude she had. Would definitely recommend visiting and asking for her.
Signs are posted throughout the store offering free gifts with purchase of certain products. When you arrive at checkout you are told “I am sorry we are out of the free gift”!! I have experienced this 3 times in a period of 6 months. Simply remove the “free gift” sign when you no longer have free gifts. Thank you
nothing special, just more expensive than others. no one is there to help. there is signs of this is for display do not touch, but there is no one to bring you what you need. it felt like they don't want costumers to bother them at all. and if they could they will put a sign on the door says please do not enter ☹
The cosmetologist here are always friendly, and are ready to help you as you come by in the door. The store is always clean and with an open atmosphere. You can get great deals here, especially when you bring in coupons. Come to Ulta beauty and they will help bring the natural beauty out in you.
Tiffany did a great job!! She is very communicative and friendly. This is my sister, she had dark black hair and the result with in just one session is amazing! She did the full highlights color and haircut. Very rare to find people who actually know how to do hair, I definitely recommend her!
Horrible! Everybody on the clock 4/2/22 11am-11:30am needs to be fired or re trained. I walked around the store, stood at the register, asked for help multiple times and was ignored. At least. 3-4 ppl wandered around waiting for assistance while employees hid in the back or ignored us.
Super friendly staff! Was looking at the "Born to Run" pallet and one of the associates asked if I had tried it on and proceeded to give me a gorgeous smokey eye with the pallet while giving tips and tricks to make the most of your look. They are all very friendly and helpful! …
I went in recently to get a full highlight, and the girl did a fantastic job. However, I’ve learned from this experience to ask upfront about charges. When I looked at the bill, my total came to about $230. She charged me an additional $55 for trimming my hair….I wish I was joking.
Always is a pleasant experience but today was extraordinary! Jubette, at my check out help me with a lot of information about the Ulta services and the credit card! I applied and got 5k approved instantly! Got 20% off on my purchase and looking forward to go back soon! …
Reasonably busy store in the town center but the lines have never been ridiculous when I've gone. The employees always say hi and ask if I need anything, but dont tend to follow you around and bother you. They've always been super helpful whenever I've asked for something.
Easy to find most products. A guy in there helped me find a bunch of stuff too. He was selling me on the high end stuff which is fine, I know he's supposed to. But I just went with stuff I know. Next time when I have longer to spend in there, I'll check everything out.
Gave it 3 stars because of the products. Personnel could care less if you need help or not. Please stop hiring younger people if they would rather play makeup tutorials with their highschool friends in the corner rather than be helpful to actual paying customers....
Taking into consideration I'm a guy and really don't partake in cosmetics, it was a cool experience. My girlfriend was able to try most items before she bought them which was extremely helpful. She also found out that the long lasting lipstick really lasts long lol
Absolutely love Ulta it is my favorite store and i considered asking about a job here... but when i asked, the girl at the register was sort of snobby sounding and did not even go find a manager to ask about any opening positions or if i could apply anyways.
Today I stopped by to shop and the doors are locked with a sign saying Closed for inventory. Why does the website state Open. What an inconvenience. This isn’t the first time this has happened when I tried to shop there. Guess I need to go somewhere else.
Everyone was very polite and helpful except the cashier. My order was 17.89 and I handed her 20.25 and she didn't put in the right amount and wouldn't give me $2.07 back. In my opinion if you cant count change back don't get a cashier job......
Not sure how you can sell anything if you don’t have anything on the shelves. This is becoming more frequent. Everything is very messy. The body scrub has been left with liquid all over it. Over all very nasty in there and not well kept at all
All of tags about free gift it's just " lie" they do that to make you purchase more than 30$ ~50$ for clinique products and after that they told you there is no free gift.. simply you can just remove the free gift sign instead of that
I get my hair done here by Manda, and she is the absolute best. She know exactly what to do with my crazy mop of hair. The store also carries my favorite brand of makeup, and it is hard to find it in other stores. I love this place!
Love this place. There're really good at letting you try something out, and if you're not happy you can bring it back. Customer service is not so great here. You have to look for someone to help you.. but it's a nice place.
The early Black Friday sales are on as of today November 2. Wish I had the app downloaded before purchasing. It would have saved a few bucks. Holiday gift bundles are decent. Staff was very helpful at the Oakleaf location.
Customer service: in general is nice, the Clinique long hair brunette Girl I don’t know her name but she was super nice and helpful, she did no stop helping me until we found the right make up for me, very grateful
Very friendly service and staff felt very welcome at this location and got the help I needed with shade match !! Never have a bad experience at any of the ulta stores !! Always leave happy at any location! ❤️
Ulta is always a great place to find a variety of skin and hair products. Expand your palate, if you will. Great chance to find gift boxes and special items. Also great stocking stuffers in the travel sizes.
Jenifer was just amazing with my blowout & style today! She’s my new weekly standing appointment I loved it so much! She’s definitely the best if you’re in the oakleaf area and need a fresh style! Love it.
Went in to get my perfume. They didn't have the ounces i needed so Maria took the time to find me the one hundred dollar bottle. This is the only place i buy my Armani perfume. Thank you Maria
Great store for makeup. They ran out of toilet paper. I, as a guy, was trapped without a means for hygiene care. Sometimes, they should look at both bathrooms. My niece loved the place ! …
I absolutely love this store. It's always well kept and organized. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The only thing that I don't like is that it doesn't have a MAC Cosmetics counter!
Jubette is the absolute best. She helped me find a bunch of items I needed and helped me with shade/s when I was confused about what to pick. Keep up the great customer service :)
I have had my hair cut at several places in Oakleaf and haven’t been happy. I finally went to Ulta and used Beth Barnes and she was wonderful. Never use anyone else.
It was B E A utiful! I'm a dude so my opinion isn't all that important. But I go there to get gift card's for the women in my life! Very helpful & friendly staff
A 5 Star experience! Manda is a skilled stylist. She really listened and took the time to give me the cut and color I wanted. I highly recommend her.
The Oakleaf Ulta is definitely one of my favorites. The associates are very friendly and helpful. The store is usually well stocked and clean.
The staff is always very helpful if you need pointers on what products to buy or what brands are cruelty free. The store itself is clean too.
A lovely employee told me I looked like a cross of Lucy Dacus and Phoebe Bridgers. Forever fan of this location because of her.
Went there for a gift card for my sister. The cashier's were fast & courteous, and got us out very quickly. Perfect gift!
Rania was so awesome and courteous. She answered all my questions and definitely provided what I need. Thanks, Rania!!!
Love to come to Ulta here! All the people are so helpful and they can recommend so many good products
Horrible customer service. They are rude and think They are better than anyone bc they work in ULTA.
The young lady was so helpful. She helped match my foundation and recommended some great items.
They did a great job to make me feel like I am stealing when I was in need of help.
Always finding things I didn't l know I needed!
