Your loyalty rewards could be nonexistent and you could be a “thief” (Please read entirely) Recently, my girlfriend and I attempted to return a foundation, setting spray, and setting powder at this location. As we explained to the cashier the reasoning for return, she asked for the receipt. To our misfortune, we did not have the receipt on us, but we found solace knowing that Ulta uses a computer system to track all purchases. The cashier entered the phone number we used, and she disclosed to us that no purchase had ever happened using that account. We thought it was odd, so we requested she try again, yet again, no purchase history was displayed. The cashier requested a manager(Erica or Erika), to which I was delighted for, since the manager would resolve this issue in a matter of seconds. The manager explained to us that due to not having the receipt, she could only allow for a return credit (blind return) for the amount of the item after it was scanned into the system. Meaning that if the product had gone on sale, or anything, we would be receiving a lesser amount than what we originally paid. We just wanted to go on with our day, so we agreed to that. Erica/Erika, scanned the items and announced that the items came out to “zero dollars” she informed us that those items were not “purchased” in that store, meaning we were out of luck. Now that the subtle stealing accusation was on the table, my girlfriend and I were determined to prove we did not steal the items. We left the store and immediately headed home, we found the receipt, and did a 180 to return to the store. We presented the receipt and items to the new cashier, and asked if she knew what would be cause for this error, she informed us that it could be due to us using a mom’s or grandma’s account, which would be impossible since grandma is dead, and we always confirm our phone number with the cashier when she requests it. The cashier printed out the receipt and to our surprise , discovered that the Ultamate reward number did not match her account. Meaning that every single point she had earned was essentially lost. The cashier (Marina) handling the situation was incredibly more involved and invested in resolving the issue than the store manager, so I thank her for that. So I plead with any potential customer, please pursue any other establishment for your beauty needs. Yes, some may be a bit more expensive, but you get engaged managers that resolve your issues, rather than insinuate you stole something you’re trying to return because it was affecting your skin.

omplete trash. I came to replace an item I had bought less than 30 days prior because it had a faulty cap that exploded all over my clothing and walls at home. I taped up the bottle the best I could and brought it in as soon as possible, being that I live 5 hours away in the desert. The cashier Leticia was quick to discredit my story. First, she insisted the return must be within 60 days, well no problem, ma'am, because it was less than 30. Looking at the leaking and taped-up bottle, she snarkily replied that at least 75% of the product must remain for return. I kindly reminded her that the product was all over my items because the bottle is broken, visibly leaking its contents. Her annoyance was palpable as she looked at the bottle and back to me. She remained silent, not one iota of customer service present. I was so shocked and hurt I felt like I was being accused of dishonesty and stealing. Maintaining my tact, I relinquished that I was getting nowhere. Thoroughly embarrassed, I paid for a new bottle of the product and my other items. Leticia did not ask me if I wanted to use my points, but she quickly told me I was pre-approved for the Ulta rewards card. I thanked her but stated I had been a long-time card holder. She insisted that was impossible because her system just said I was pre-approved. Again my face flushed as this woman tried and succeeded in making me feel insignificant in every possible way. I completed the transaction by sending my receipt to my email. Lastly, I asked her if she had happened to catch my rewards level as I was unsure if I was diamond or platinum. Again I regretted my question as she retorted without looking up that it was on the receipt. When I returned to my vehicle, the totality of the interaction hit me like a ton of bricks. I was mortified, hurt, and angry. I will not go back to this location and am apprehensive about going back to Ulta, period. I will consider taking my hard-earned money elsewhere.

I've been here several times and this store is always a mess. There are open products everywhere (that are not testers), some products are broken or messy, and it's just super disorganized. The staff is hit or miss, I've had excellent customer service and I've had some real rude people help me as well. The two examples that stand out are: when shopping for an auto rotating hot brush, asked the person in the styling tools area if she'd heard anything about the model I was holding. Her response was "I don't know, I don't use those." Yes, she had short hair but still! At least make something up if you don't know! I used to work in a place like this and I'd just make up some bull to make a sale. Earlier today I went in with an exchange, plus I wanted to purchase a couple more things. I hung out near the registers while some other customers were checking out (3 girls were busy with customers), and two other employees just kind of ignored me. I walked away after a while to go grab the stuff I wanted and look around a bit. When I got back to the registers, EVERYONE WAS GONE. There was one poor girl ringing someone with a large purchase up, and line of 3-4 other customers. Finally someone else opens up a register, and I tell her several times "I have an exchange from an online order, plus I'd like to buy these things" She doesn't really acknowledge me while she's ringing out the return, but then she looks up after asking me to insert my card, sees the other products on the counter, and goes "Oh, you're buying those too?" Me: "Yes, I've said it three times". She just responds with "well I didn't hear you", cancels the transaction and starts over. I will just spend the time and gas to go to another location next time, holy moly.

I love this Ulta for their products and locations, but especially their employees. I’ve been frequenting this Ulta for years and have gotten consistent great service over the years. But, the reason I wanted to write this review is because of the salon. I had been loyal to a stylist in my hometown (which is almost 4 hours away) for the last 10 years. It was getting increasingly difficult for me to visit her and make the drive and to get booked and so I decided to make a change. I took my chances and blindly chose an option from a list of available stylists from the Ulta booking website. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to meet Gabby, who took my hair from a dark brown to a goldenish blonde in one session. Gabby took an entire day to make sure that I got the lift I wanted from where my color was at when I walked in. I was obviously very apprehensive walking in to a salon I had never been to with a stylist I had never met, but after talking to Gabby for about 10 minutes about what I was looking for, my anxiety melted away. I’ve since been back 2 times and will continue to go to her. I can’t tell you how impressed I am with her ability to make me feel welcome and at home and safe. Although I’ve only known her for a few months, she makes me feel like I’m talking to a friend when I come in and I know that she truly cares about the way I feel when I leave. Gabby, thank you for all you’ve done to restore my hair and get it back to what I’ve been looking for! I highly recommend if you are in San Antonio and have the option of booking Gabby that you do so, you will not regret it!

Update This store really went down hill since a year ago. All the shelves with makeup were filthy and the store looked a mess. I really feel it would be unsanitary to buy make up here. Original Review Took my wife here this Sunday so she could buy her "lady things". It seems I find myself coming to a lot of these "lady places" so I tend to rate these establishment's based upon cleanliness, customer service, and whether or not my wife gets agitated during her visit. So let's begin. This location started strong, with a general ULTA format, although slightly different isle layout. The place was clean, the staff was visible and very good about asking if we needed assistance. Something my wife doesnt appreciate, but I find to be a valuable level of customer service etiquette. The selection was decent, however the ULTA brand selection was drastically lacking. Another point of frustration (one my wife is frequently confronted with at almost all ULTA's) is the rather horrifying clearance section consisting of opened make up, unlabeled/unpriced items and just the sheer chaos of the shelf(ves). In case ULTA is curious about the processes of communicable diseases, this is certainly one such way of transmission. The other gripe is, like most other ULTAs, they were out of the freebie offers when you buy XX of whatever product, something that always seems to chomp at my wife nerves. All and all though, it's about what is expected, yet with my wife being their "elite Diamond" member, I would think they would do more to ensure she is pleased with their service.

This was the first time shopping at an ulta! I was honestly a little concerned because I've felt really pressured at makeup stores before and they sometimes have had a way of making you feel like 1. You don't look the part. And 2. You don't belong in there. This was NOT that experience at all. I walked in and was greeted right away. That's not out of the ordinary but it is nice to be acknowledged. I originally I had come to find an eyebrow brush with a spooley end. I intended to browse around once I found what I needed. I started looking at the array of makeup brushes and one of the associates asked me if I needed help. Since it was my first time at the store and I mentioned what I was looking for, hoping she could find the right brush. We couldn't find the brush that I was looking for because a few of the most popular ones were sold out. She took me to about three different areas personally to try to find one. No dice, but no worries. She asked if I was looking for anything else and I listed a few items off. She showed me so many different products and made amazing recommendations. I tried a few different products and was just amazed at the level of knowledge and professionalism I was experiencing from the employees. At the same time this woman was so friendly and made me feel very comfortable. She went above and beyond to help me have a great first experience at this store.

Last night we stopped by for fun and we saw the great deals they had on concealer so we decided to shop a bit and try and match our color, after a while of trial and error this sweet, sweet lady by the name of Maria D comes up to us and asks if we need help! Ofcourse we did lol we have been to Ulta before and gotten shades recommended and they unfortunately don’t look well in the long run and we end up just not using them. Well Maria actually explained undertones and what shades we needed to color correct! She got the perfect shades for me and my mom! First time someone has hit the nail on the head when it comes to matching our tones! My mom was so impressed she even asked her to recommend a foundation so she had the total look! We ended up purchasing a few more things and got into the car and couldn’t get over how sweet and helpful Maria was! Such a small experience made our evening! Especially this time of year it’s so nice to feel the love and appreciation as a customer! Today we both used our makeup and got so many compliments, we can’t thank her enough! If you are looking for a makeup artist or someone to recommend the perfect shade ask for Maria D! I will def be back to this location and I know my mom will too just so Maria can give us her recommendations! Thanks again Maria, you are truly awesome!

So I went to this Ulta at noon on on 5/25 to get my hair done. I waited and it felt almost like Thom (they stylist) was stalling . Then says okay I can do a full head of highlights but I want to leave by 3pm so I can't do it . let me take care of you next Saturday. Okay, so I didn't think that was ok but I went ahead and scheduled. I show up and the stylist Gabby at the register says "well Kenra called you" with a blank stare . They called my husbands phone not mine. The voice mail says Thom called in , but they will see me with another stylist . The voicemail did NOT specify that I would be taken off the books and my appointment would be given away, but that's exactly what they did. After speaking to the supervisor I realized they just flat out don't care. Thom made me wait a whole week and then doesn't show and on top of that instead of Gabby trying to provide me with options she just stood there with her careless attitude and simply says "if you want you can reschedule for another day". So a stylist calls in and I'm thrown of the schedule. Worst customer service on the planet . I will never visit this Ulta again.

If you are a girl or woman or man shopping here, I would highly recommend taking your business else where. When I entered, wearing jeans and a tee no one greeted me, only stares as I waited in line. But when everyone else walked in "Hello! Welcome to Ulta!" Being a man I can understand, but when everyone else walks in different looks. I walk up to the register to a girl whose name is Brianna, the one who greeted all other guests ask me for a phone number while simultaneously speaking into her headset about something else. I tell her no, and let her know it's going to be 75$ for a gift card. I finish processing my transaction and she tells me "Have a great day" and my response is "Mmmmhmmm, thanks." Please do me and everyone else who thinks logically and doesn't judge people based on appearance and skin color, don't shop here. I mean, these women, and obviously women who don't attend college because they choose to sell makeup as a career and not do higher for themselves have no right to judge anyone else! Period!

Super unprofessional experience. Since the mandate for masks has been removed, I usually do not go into a store with a mask on. I still carry one with me just in case, cause I don’t mind putting one on if necessary. Well, when I entered the store I was not asked to put one on. I went about my business and during while I was reading and comparing products, one of their employees rudely comes up to me and says “can you put a mask on?” No ‘excuse me,’ or ‘please,’ was mentioned. Of course I was kinda startled because of how she approached me, but I replied with “yeah, no problem.” And she walked away and said “it’s not hard to wear one, ya know.” First of all—no, it’s not hard to wear one. But legally, I don’t need to wear one so I don’t do it automatically, unless asked to. Second of all, that was soooo unprofessional to say. Especially since I had no problem putting it on and that’s the response I got. Won’t be going back here again lol

Rude Staff. I have been a long time customer of Ulta, including a platinum credit card holder… I am not from San Antonio but here visiting a friend. We were shopping in the Quarry and most stores were closing at 9. We assumed Ulta was the same (Our Bad), HOWEVER it was only 5 minutes past closing time… instead of saying “Hey ladies, can we help you find anything? We are closing shortly”. The staff proceeded to make disrespectful and degrading remarks about us intentionally wasting their time (as our arms are full of hundreds of dollars of products). “They are taking their sweet a** time when we all want to go home” (We were standing to the right of the registers). We almost put all of our products back because of the multiple remarks. We are both considerate and would have understood- next time inform your customers you are closing soon and ask if they need assistance. They have lost my business at that location.

I’m not one to leave reviews, but I had to for this Angel. Julia is such an asset to Ulta and here’s why. I’ve ALWAYS been so insecure about my pores. My biggest secret(which I guess is no longer a secret) is that every time I look in the mirror all I see is my pores and it makes me feel disgusting. Pathetic, I know, but that’s how I’ve always felt. Anyway, I finally mustered up the courage and asked someone for help. And that someone was Julia. I asked if there was absolutely anything I could do since they’re genetic. I’m sure she could hear how desperate I was. She first took a look at my face and gave me loads of reassurance. Then spent the next 15 or so mins giving me advice and products that will alleviate the appearance. She didn’t use my insecurity to make a big sell. She genuinely wanted to help. You don’t see that anymore. She’s a genuine person and really knows her stuff. Keep her at all costs.

I have to write about my experience at this Ulta I had the other day. Walking into an ulta or sephora (for me) has always been extremely intimidating. I’m not the most knowledgeable of beauty items and walking in I just never know what to begin with or where to even to start. This past time was different. One of the staff walked up to greet me and asked if I had any questions or need help finding a product. She said her name was Joce and is another person with colored hair. She helped me locate the hair dyes and as well helped me find the perfect lip shade. Her understanding of what I wanted in regards to make up was probably the best I’ve ever experienced. She was just so knowledgeable in products and envisioned what I wanted to achieve so well. I left with a handful of products I was excited to try. Really great experience at this ulta thanks to Jocelyn and I’ll be sure to visit this location again :)

I went to my usual Ulta located on SW Loop 410 looking for a specific item, they didn't have it. The app showed this location as the only store in town that had it "In Stock". This location is very very far from me, I was lost in that big store There were 2 employees standing there chatting, they saw me standing there waiting for them to finish or pause there conversation, they acted as if I wasn't there, WHEN I was finally able to ask my question 1 of them just pointed somewhere to the middle of the store saying IF we have it it will be over there, I was just as lost looking for quite a while finally I asked The cashier, they didn't have it in stock. I will NEVER return to that store those ladies made me feel like I was Nobody! In the future If my reg ULTA doesn't have what I'm looking for I will just go to Sephora. The employees at the 410 location are very helpful & friendly.

I came in today to buy a few items that I needed. As I approached the cashier I asked her (Daniela) if she could let me know the prices of 2 items. She said “okay”and made an annoyed face expression but as she responded to me she was speaking to a co-worker at the same time. When she finished my transaction she told me the total and pressed the card button but she never told me how much the 2 items I asked her cost. I simply asked her the question again and she said “you can just press the back button.” I thought that was extremely rude when how am I the customer suppose to know that. The whole time she was speaking to that co-worker and didn’t have any customer service at all. I wanted to leave the store and not purchase anything but as I stated I needed those items. I will not be coming back and Ulta employees need to do better.

Went in yesterday for an eyeshadow primer, setting spray and wanted to try the Morphe foundation. I LOVE MY NEW PRODUCTS. But the staff is a different story. I always thought people were exaggerating when they say if you go in without makeup they don’t even acknowledge you. But yesterday I found it to be true. No one asked if I needed help with anything, or when I would look around for help they always seemed to be around but walked away as soon I made eye contact. Almost like if they were trying to make sure I wasn’t stealing anything. It really sucks to have a bad experience at this Ulta because it’s the closest one to me. If you go to this Ulta make sure you go in with your face already done so you can get some type of acknowledgement.

THE WORST location in San Antonio. The staff here is pretentious and will not acknowledge you at all. The manager is rude and acts bothered and put out if you ask her a question(she was rude to another customer too). She refused to provide me a promotional gift that was supposed to come with a purchase(luckily a manager from another location was VERY KIND and gave me the item from her own store after hearing about my experience at this location). So if you are looking for customer service, do not come to this location. 90% of the items they advertise are not in stock and the staff is clueless about their promotions. On a busy Saturday, they had a huge line and only had two cash registers running). Will not come back here.

The manger was so rude to me I had to write a review on this after going in and got told that they can’t exchange my product because it’s been 60 days, I didn’t want my money back all I wanted was a exchange bc the foundation I got was to white there is no use in it I felt like thing weren’t taken very well I was so upset , I continued to tell the older lady with blondish grayish hair that I just want an exchange I don’t want my money back and she kept telling me that’s there is nothing she can do I am so upset !!! This need to be handled and I would like this to be fixed . I don’t want my refund I just want an exchange my birthday December 6 and I can’t even get the foundation that matched me this ruined my day .

I went in to look for a certain lipstick. The display was empty & all that was left were testers that have seen better days. The showroom staff were friendly & helpful. I bought a few products & was supposed to receive a free gift, at checkout. I waited in line, paid for my items, and left the store. In my car, I checked my bag for the gift and it was not there. Went back in, spoke to my cashier, informing her that I was to receive a free gift. And this was her answer, "I could not offer it to you because we are all out." Really? ! She didn't mention that while I was paying nor did she offer another item in its place. Yet, there are signs up saying "Free Gift With Purchase" That was poor customer service.

Hate this place! Bad customer service! First time I went the representative from “Naked” foundation wasn’t paying attention and kept talking to another person while trying to match me. Because of her negligence she matched me 2 shades too light. So when I came home and put on a full face I looked like a ghost Second time cashier made someone cut ahead of me in line despite me being there first but I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to cause a scene. I don’t enjoy going there because the experience is always negative and I don’t like to write reviews but just a heads up for other people thinking about shopping there. Guy at the brow bar was nice though so that’s the only positive thing there.

THE WORST Ulta experience I’ve ever had. I specifically went to the store with the intention of redeeming my bday item and the staff refused to work with me. I was unable to show the email because my phone was dead but I had a credit card account they could verify or my ID even? The woman at the register said the best she could do was give me the number to guest services... I went to Sephora right after this because I needed another product only they carried, and OMG!! I wasn’t even concerned about a bday product bc I RARELY shop at Sephora but as I was checking out the girl at the register noticed it was my bday and gave me 3 options for a free gift. No email required, just good customer service.

I normally love shopping here. Recently I booked an appointment for one of the hairdressers. She was recommended to me. I checked in for my appointment on time and waited patiently. Even though she did not acknowledge me, I still waited patiently. 45 minutes went by and nothing, she continued doing someone else’s hair. I understand she is not just going to drop someone’s hair in the middle of doing it, but what is the point in booking an appointment if I am not even going to be seen that hour that it’s booked?! Was ridiculous and so rude that no one could be bothered to even update me. I eventually left after telling an employee I was leaving. I will be calling corporate about this.

I was there not long ago. As soon as we stepped in a women started to stare us. She did ask if she could help us and we said we were just looking but even after we said that she just kept staring at us. Then my daughter was looking at a lipstick and accused my daughter of opening the seal. My daughter did no such thing it was already open. She was very rude and still had the audacity to say she wasn’t being rude. Needless to say we walked out as I told her she had ruined our shopping experience. By the way she appeared to be in her 50’s and clearly was very unhappy to be working there. Sorry lady, not my fault you had to work that Saturday. We will never shop there again.

After experiencing nasty customer service at the checkout counter, I decided to buy my favorite beauty items from the source (Ardell, NYX, Qhemetbiologics). For some reason, the same rude employee always checked me out. My last visit was it for me! I asked the employee if she would check the price on some lashes I thought to be on sale. The employee shrugged her shoulders and gave me such as nasty, "I don't know" response. I suspect the employee thought I asked if the lashes were on sell. Nevertheless, I got her name (Lettie) even though her name tag was turnaround. Here's a bright side: Lettie actually did me favor because I now buy from the source and get better prices!

This location is just a miss. The products are never stocked and it always looks like a tornado went through there. The sample products are always a dirty mess and the actual products for sale are often in opened or damaged boxes. They just do not do a very good job of organizing items that have been moved, etc, so it’s very hard to find what you are looking for and the price. This is a very unkept store and I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt that maybe I am just coming in on restock days, or that they are too busy to clean the place up, but after several visits I think that it is just the way it is run. I would go to one of the other locations in town first.

I usually don't give bad reviews anywhere mainly because I don't let things get to me. But these young girl here are EXTREMLY rude and made me feel so uncomfortable and judged. I've spent way over $600 at this location this year, but of course they don't know that while I'm walking around shopping. I heard one of the employees whisper, "keep and eye out for that one" why? Because I have tattoos and piercings? I hate to jump to that conclusion, but it was pretty damn obvious. I was probably the only customer being watched that closely. Y'all need to learn not to stereotype because I'll put y'all in your places real quick. Save a headache and go to a different location.

I really like shopping at Ulta, but I usually shop at The Rim location. This one looked like it had been ransacked when I was there: open packaging, low stock, items in random places, and when I asked the staff for advice on a lip scrub they seemed perplexed on where any were located in the store. Everyone there (except the patrons) was super nice, but not very helpful. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and blame it on the fact that it was Sunday, but this is the second time I've been pretty underwhelmed by this location. I did get a lovely Too Faced highlighter though. A staff member suggested it to me despite the fact I already had it in my hand, lol.

As I walked in a guy walked out holding good 8 to 10 boxes with different product while the sensors were activated. He was clearly stealing all the product the girls at the counted didn't even looked at the door ignoring completely what was going on. We told them the guy was getting away with all the product random the answer with a "yeah we know" as I continue looking through the store another lady started following me asking if she could help me .... Like really? You let a guy walk away with hundreds of dollars in merchandise but you follow me thinking I will steal your makeup. I think this employees have it mixed up lol. Good luck with managing the store.

If I could give zero stars I would. I received no help finding what I needed, and when I looked at the tester of a powder I was going to buy (not put on, just look at the color) I was rudely approached and told I couldn’t while rolling her eyes. Didn’t even offer to help match me since I couldn’t when I specifically told her I was just opening to try and eye the color I needed. I understand everything is different right now with everything happening but if that’s the case take the testers off the floor. Period. And maybe extra help finding the color/product People need. Awful experience and horrible customer etiquette/service.

It is your typical ULTA and was stocked and clean! The only problem was there weren't enough empployees to help customers. They had 2 cashiers and 2 people walking the sales floor. I had to flag down an employee and it took her 30 mins to get back to me because she had others that needed help before me When I finally got help, the employees were knowledgeable in all things skin care and makeup! The bathrooms are not marked so yoh have to find them located near the beauty bar. It is a unisex bathroom and has a changing table. They have ample handicap parking spots and have accessibility ramps and entrances.

Came here to buy some gifts for my birthday going to shop at sephora now exclusively. The older heavyset woman that works at the Chanel counter is very rude. She stares at you, insults you, and refuses to help. She wouldn't even let me test the products she acted like I was doing stuff wrong and said I looked like a mess. Had to file a customer complaint with corporate. I asked her to sample something and see said I could use the one pump sample as a test. My daughter and I went in there to buy some specific products. The ones that we wanted we took to the register they were missing caps and one of the employees had said that happens! We had told them we wanted these and they said sure will give you a discount then they said no we can't sell them to you at all. We explained what we were told it totally went over their heads. Not to mention the disorganization there the rudeness and there was so many products that were missing lids and look like they had been there a while, so what that tells me is they don't take care of their inventory will never go back!

These women are inconsiderate, I was asked if I needed help , I said yes. I was looking for a particular item and supposedly the employee went to look for the item and she never came back. I later saw her at the register. I stood there for 20 minutes waiting and no one helped me. When I finally went to seek someone else they told me they were out of stalk even though the website stated they had the product. Completely useless, at very minimum the first employee could have had the decency to let me know instead of just leaving me standing there waiting.

I came in and waited almost 10 minutes to check out, then was charged twice. I didn't realize until I got home. I called the store and they were really rude, like they didn't believe me. They said I had to come in and there was a "process" they had to go through that they were unable to take care of over the phone. I was already charged twice and was going out of town and unable to come in. They would not work with me at all. To make matters worse, they disconnected the call twice and I kept have to call back.

I went to the salon for a haircut. My hair was longer than my shoulders and the stylist did NOT section my hair before cutting it. She didn’t let me look at the back of my hair when she was done because she knew it was horrible and incredibly uneven. I returned the next day to have it fixed by a different stylist, but another 3-4 inches had to be cut off since the first stylist butchered my hair. This was my second attempt to have my hair cut at this salon and both times I had to return to have my hair fixed.

Called the store and the woman says to remove her business off the list because I was a telemarketer. After telling her I wasn't a telemarketer and was just wondering about the sale she proceeded to continue saying that I shouldn't be calling a business as a telemarketer. I asked about the yellow tagged items and she answered annoying no and kept calling me sir after I told her I was a ma'am. 0/10 experience whoever is doing your phone lines needs to have more training in handling phone calls.

Went in with my mom and we got amazing customer service! We were attended by 2 different ladies and they were both awesome, we got some good recommendations on products and they didn’t force any prestige products on us. They actually recommended some of the drug store products and I am all for that. They answered all our questions and weren’t rushing to move on to the next customer. Both ladies also spoke Spanish and made it easier for my mom to ask what she needed to ask.

I like this Ulta because it has the full selection of products that some other stores lack (Morphe, Nars, etc). Now the real gem is Erika at the Benefit brow bar. Holy cow, I hadn’t had my eyebrows waxed in years so I was a little nervous letting someone touch them again. She explained the process as she went along and was so personable and professional—best of all, she absolutely killed it at bringing my brows to life! Definitely recommend their waxing services!

Well, I really need a haircut so I'm going to find someone new but will stay with this salon. I was going to avoid putting this review but this has happened way to often for me to ignore. Usually when I go in a seemingly friendly MUA asks if I need help and I politely say No thank you... almost every time I am still followed around the aisles as if I’m being suspected of shoplifting. I have social anxiety and am very uncomfortable as it is walking in there alone, let alone being treated like I’m stealing. Sephora down the way is a lot more respectful.

First time at Ulta, my hair stylist sent me there to get Paul Mitchell hair products, I was browsing around and I am already a tarte shopper, but I asked to get matched for foundation, Maria went above and beyond to help me. I have been trying to purchase a few Morphe eyeshadow palettes. Nothing specific I see a ton of display tester palettes and every time I come I to this store They are completely out. I can see the tester but nothing to sell on the shelf. No one knows when they will re stock and it's always a mess when I do find what I think is a palette it turns out to be just the box it is sold in. Last 3 visits I have left disappointed.

Employees pick and choose who they’d like to approach which customer to greet. When I walked into that store I just had glaring stares as if I wasn’t supposed to be there. No one helped or offered any help. I don’t understand why the beauty industry has very non-mannered employees. But $400 later spent in less than 50 minutes I’m better off ordering online elsewhere and not deal with this type of service. Good luck!

I think she needs to do better on how she interacts with customers. Greeted by 1 lady when i came in and it wasnt the women that was literally by the door there to greet. Very messy store shelves half stocked or not at all. I have been going to this location since I moved to San Antonio in 2013. The hairdressers I have had (Adrian and Melissa) are the absolute best hair dressers I have had in years. I have long hair and Adrian never scissor happy. The staff always tells me when there are free gifts or deals. I have gotten so many steals it's ridiculous.

Honestly, don't bother wasting your time coming to this location! You will find plenty of empty shelfs with unstocked merch, if there is merch you'll find it thrown around or on the ground, rude unhelpful employees, and you will definitely be waiting in line for 15 mins+!
