"Union Station is not only a captivating architectural masterpiece but also the bustling heart of Toronto's transportation network"
"If you're catching a Go train here, you had better know exactly where you're going, cause it's under construction so there's NO information counter and NO customer service people anywhere! Especially if you're not from Toronto or if it's a holiday, there will be absolutely NOBODY to ask except for random commuters"
"Union station is a Great landmark"
"I see a large number of people using the GO Train Services forget to tap off the presto card at Union Station because the rush is enormous and there are no enough tap on/off machines"
"This is a very nice station"
Union Station is not only a captivating architectural masterpiece but also the bustling heart of Toronto's transportation network. As the central hub for Via Rail, UP Express, and GO Train services, it offers unparalleled connectivity to various destinations. The station's historic charm is immediately apparent upon entering, with its elegant architecture and impressive interior design. Navigating the station is made easy with clear signage and helpful staff who can assist with any inquiries. Whether you're catching a Via Rail train for a longer journey, hopping on the convenient UP Express to Toronto Pearson International Airport, or commuting with the efficient GO Train system, Union Station provides a seamless and efficient experience. The station also boasts an array of amenities, including shops, cafes, and eateries, allowing for a comfortable wait or a quick refreshment. With its central location and excellent transportation connections, Union Station is an essential part of Toronto's vibrant and dynamic atmosphere.
If you're catching a Go train here, you had better know exactly where you're going, cause it's under construction so there's NO information counter and NO customer service people anywhere! Especially if you're not from Toronto or if it's a holiday, there will be absolutely NOBODY to ask except for random commuters. This is the country's largest station (as far as I know) and for there to be NOT ONE f**king service rep to ask for help, is absolutely ridiculous and pathetic!! Get your act together GO!! The fact that it's under construction is MORE of a reason to have ADDITIONAL service assistants!! NOT LESS OR NONE!!! A**HOLES!
Union station is a Great landmark. Yes, trains can be late but really you don’t have to contend with traffic. Can’t do any better then when traffic stops for you. Find there is always friendly staff on the GO Train. Easy access to UP, Go train and TTC subway. Union station bathrooms are always maintained, clean and elevators always been to be plentiful for those requiring barrier free access. I would recommend Sushi Shop if you are looking for a quick place to eat, while waiting for a train. Located on lower level.
I see a large number of people using the GO Train Services forget to tap off the presto card at Union Station because the rush is enormous and there are no enough tap on/off machines. Considering the rush at Union Station more Presto Devices should be installed. We are getting over charged when we forget to Tap off especially the LakeShore East Train which becomes Lakeshore West.
This is a very nice station. Always making improvements and changes to keep it updated. I hate how they don't post the track until 10 mins before and you can't see it on your phone, so dumb. Get with the program and fix it and stop saying it's a safety reasons. Go to Japan and you can find track numbers like days in advance and they have many more people taking public transit.
Lady at 19:40 on 23rd September 2023 - I was trying to catch your name tag, it begins with N. You helped me get a LAST MINUTE ticket to Windsor and got me onboard. I friggin love you!! I'd been travelling for 23 straight hours from London, England by that point so you cannot Imagine how much it means. I would've been stranded for a whole night! Thank you thank you!
Very historical building, still running until now. You can still take GO train or Via rail from here. Building itself is like European style with large pillers. And a huge dome at the central hall. There is lots beggers around the union station and the tunnel beside it so keep an eye on your personal belongings. Nice place to walk by and take some pics.
This is the marker for the TTC light rail station, which is located within Union subway station. You must pay your fare and follow the signs to "Streetcars". Light rail lines 509 and 510 terminate here, as well as the 317 night service. Confirm schedules at tic.ca.
I was pleasantly surprised to find the subway clean and organized. The platform was wide and clean and decorated with really interesting art work. The ticketing system was fast and easy, though we had trouble with our kiosk. No one is perfect, I guess.
Took the GO Train out of Union Station. The train arrived and departed on schedule. The platform is indicated on the monitors in the concourse area. It really is quite seamless. This concourse was only just recently completed. It's very nice.
Very long lines when I was here. There is an underground loop for the Harbourfront (509) and Spadina (510) streetcars. It connects directly to the subway platfrom (Line 1). It also connects to all the trains at Union Station.
Cool station but I was pretty lost after getting here. Luckily I stumbled in the correct direction by accident. UP train was actually more comfortable and entertaining than the Viarail
The train from the airport is inexpensive and easy to get to Union Station All the great resteraunts, sights like the CN tower, aquarium, Rogers Field are all within walking distance.
Core, Central hub station of Ontario's transportation system... But please hurry up the conversation works.. They are doing it for more than a decade years... Nonsense, nonsense.
UP Express website not autism friendly. Where is the exact location in Union Station to catch the UP Express to Pearson? May give up and walk the seven hours to Pearson airport.
partitions put up on line 1 metro at union station between the lines going to Finch and Vaughan. esrlier we could see the other platform while standing on 1. not anymore !!
Construction feels like a lifetime, minimum 10 years. Daily challenges, obstacles and bottlenecks. #metrolinks, #cityoftoronto, when will it be finished? Another 10 years?
I think it has always, and forever will be under construction. That being said - it's easy to find your way around, and there's nothing horrible about it.
Connection to every major city in Ontario and Quebec available from here., it also serves as the main station for the Go trains, extremely well equipped
Historic station in North America but it's like a freaking maze. Make yourself aware about the platform and entrances if it's your first time.
Very efficient operation of trains for transporting people from airport to downtown, very convenient location near my hotel - Sheraton.
Very busy train station but easy to navigate. There was a ton of construction going on but the noise wasn't unbearable.
This place is always under construction. Missed my bus by 10 seconds because of longer route( thanks to construction).
excellent station, great service from airport, well connected, some of the connecting tunnels etc are confusing.
Put some trains on this line! Wait times are too long for a big city. I'm going to buy a car, screw this action.
There's no locker if you don't travel by train, different from upp to airport. Closed at night …
Big historical station with amazing architecture and connects to TTC buses, streetcar and Line 1
Great location to come into the city. Access to downtown and underground to the rest of Toronto.
Horrible to navigate for those with mobility problems. The construction makes it even worst.
It's been under construction for years. Consistent flooding while try to get to the subway.
GO train staff do not know the routes or schedules especially in a disruption of service.
Highly useful station.Used by thousands of commuters of national and international.
Nice station and good conections to Via rail Amtrack GO and TTC and the UP express
Hard to find streetcar platform after getting off subway. Signage not the best.
This place is very good it go anteater in the go train it is safe too
Historical and connecting TTC, Go Bus, Via Rail and much more.
Excellent service and everyone is willing to help
dirty subway with what seems like zero security
Becoming a greater station in North America
For Go train, around 6 counters for ticket.
ここの地下鉄の折り返しは急カーブだ。こんなレールを見たことがない。
