I wish I read the reviews here before I approached the rude, unprofessional, arrogant clerk Melisa in this post office. I went there looking for help to track a priority mail express international, which was supposed be delivered within 3-5 working days and not delivered or being able to track beyond Chicago. I tried to talk to another clerk, who was trying to listen to me when Melisa started to step in unnecessarily, started being so loud, rude and arrogant with me. Basically she would not help or let the other clerk listen what I am trying to say. She made a grown woman upset and tearful, and when she sees other customers lining up she started to look in to her computer and tracked my mail I assume, and told me that it is expected to be delivered on Monday, which was only a 2 minutes job. keep in mind that there were no other customers others than me in the line when I went there. I went through the google reviews and I see at lease 3 times people have mentioned Melisa's name for her rudeness, many more that fit her description. I really don't understand what is HR and management doing. I really hope USPS would do something about it, because USPS should understand that these people represent USPS. I noted someone said about being in Government job. I would like to say I am in a profession that deals with public everyday, and I worked in private sector and now in Government agency. This is not how we deal with public.

June 2023: Line during mid-day weekday moved quickly and orderly, even with one just one attendant. Jan. 2023: A new low. Thirty minutes after posted lobby opening hour, and lobby is locked/empty while a line of six await service. No response when calling the posted location phone. 2022: I maintain a PO Box for accurate and faster mail delivery. In the past 30 days, have had four packages delivered (to the office) but not placed in the box. In the past 60 days, have received 30+ pieces of others' mail. 2021: New clerk Melissa is going to save us all. Had a package that tracked as delivered close to two weeks prior but no package/claim card/key was in my box. Melissa took my name and phone number and said she'd contact me the next business day. (The last time this happened, that clerk kindly advised that it was on me to visit within a few days of delivery to ensure pick up). For the first time ever from this location, received a call back. Bonus? Package was found.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life here. I stopped in three days in a row just to have their ‘self service’ package drop not accepting packages, it was locked. On the third day no short of 4 people were working on a federal holiday, i am sure making overtime. I was told multiple times ‘we are not here’, which is odd because i was looking at 4 postal workers. When asked if they could unlock the self service package drop they said it locks when it’s full. Please keep in mind all packaging and shipping was done ahead of time, i just needed to drop the package. Melissa, the site lead, was rude, unhelpful, accusatory, and frankly needs to take HR and basic customer service training. If the post office wants a better name, please try to offer some basic service. Amazon, please reconsider using USPS, it’s impacting my buying going forward.

I visit the post office regularly to ship products. This one is a mile away my home. Sometimes it can be crowded and you have to wait a bit because normally there are not many people working at the counter. They normally are helpful and nice but since Gwen started working there I feel it is better. She is always smiling and very nice and professional. Always ready to do the extra step to help the costumer. Thank you Gwen and keep doing your great job! We need more people like you!

I went to this Post Office Location this morning around 11:30 am for making money order and send envelope by next day express delivery. The lady who works there was very kind and helpful to me. I use post office every month for pay my rent but this location is one of the best post office I have been. They are always helpful, they are always very kind, they are always very professional.

Every time I come to this PO the service is extremely slow. One rep talks sooo much (personal matters) to the customer. Makes it worse because she is not focusing on her work and just chats away! Urg! I literally was there 35ish min and only 5 people ahead of me. My tax dollars not hard at work. They need being efficient training & customer service training.

The service is always very slow and line is always very long. The service person really takes her time to go through the process. At one time, when there is a long line of people waiting, she introduced all the different types stamps to the customer after the customer clearly said she doesn’t care which stamp to buy.

Useless post office. Credit/Debit machines somehow down and then don’t even have enough change to take cash. No signs posted anywhere and I waited in line for ages while the clerk dealt with non mailing/shipping customers, and he didn’t bother to tell me or others in line about this

  • Melissa Ferro

I waited in line for 25 minutes because only one window was open, only to be told that her computer cannot give a receipt for a prepaid package. Now I have to wait in another line. Horrible service. They should shut this useless branch down.

Why do they lock the self service drop off? What exactly is even the point. At least post times when it’s unlocked, this place is so poorly managed. Government at its finest.
