ZERO (0) STARS On Friday, February 01, 2016, I had a package being delivered. At approximately 1:30pm, my mail was delivered, buy needless to say, my package was not. I tracked my package online and it showed that the package had been delivered. I attempted to call this post office multiple times but continued to get a busy signal. I then drove to the post office located on David Cox Rd) and expressed my concern. The lady at the counter was extremely unprofessional. I explained that my package was not delivered but they had marked it as delivered. She looked at me and said "Well, I ain't marked yo package as nothing". I said, "well I didn't mean YOU specifically, I was speaking of this post office. I gave her my tracking number and she walked away without saying anything. About 10 minutes later, she returned and told me to go to the "Blue Door" and someone would come talk to me. So after about 10-15 minutes, someone came to the door. I explained the situation and he proceeds to ask me a series of utterly ridiculous questions. He implied that I had overlooked the package that was left at my front door... He suggested that the package was left in the backyard... the only issue is that the package was small enough to be left in the mailbox and did not require a signature. After arguing with the supervisor for quite some time, he stated that he would check with the carrier and contact me on the next day. Interesting enough, on the very next day, my doorbell rang and it was the carrier delivering my package. Now, fast forward to Monday, February 15, 2016. I was expecting two more packages to be delivered. At approximately 12:30, the mail carrier arrived at my home. My husband and I were about to leave so we were standing at the front door.... She put the smaller package in the mailbox... We watched as she looked at the larger package that was too big to fit in the mailbox... She looked at the label, then looked at our house, she put the package back down and drove off. About 2 hours later, she marked the package as "Attempted to deliver; notice left" which was a lie. She never tried to deliver the package, she never even got out of her vehicle and she definitely didn't leave a notice! As a paying customer, it is quite offensive that I am paying extra money to have my items expedited and I am not receiving then on time because of lazy postal carriers. I have spoken with the USPS Customer Service and now I am awaiting a call from the Post Master. I am extremely disappointed with the level of service being provided by this post office.
The representative on the phone was extremely rude and does not need to be working in customer service. She kept talking over me and being combative to the things I was saying. The company I work for just moved into a new building and the carrier has only been out one time to delivery mail. Granted our mailbox has not been put up, however we have been in the facility a week and one day. I noticed that we had only received mail one time and haven't seen anyone come on site to deliver mail for the past 3 days. Reasons as to why we know this is, our building has an all glass front, everyone has been looking for the mail/mail truck, and we have cameras on our facility. The woman on the phone kept telling me that mail won't be delivered unless there is a box, but no one has came on site to even see if we had a box. She kept saying the carrier has 'worked for the postal service for 15 years", as if that means something. I guess "people who work for the postal service for 15 years" are perfect people and never make any mistakes. She asked me if I sit at my desk for 8 hours and watch for the mail, and I told her yes, as I could tell she was trying to to get smart with me. However what she didn't know is that "people who work for the post office for 15 years" were not seen on camera for the past three days attempting to deliver our mail. The worst experience ever, where do they find these people. Honestly if you're not trying to help anyone, and you don't like going to work or speaking to people you shouldn't work in customer service.
This place is unbelievable. My first impression was not to go to this office because it looked closed down. Weeds are almost to the top of the building and the inside looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. I literally live right across the street from it so it is a more convenient place to go. However, I sent a letter off that should have been delivered no more than 2 days later. However, I understand that things happen. I go in to discuss this with someone, just to check the status and the guy at the counter tells me that I need to speak with a manager. Based on the tracker it said that it hadn't even left the building yet. Anyway, when I talked to the manager (some rude lady) she questioned me about the information that was one my phone which was just a tracking number in cased she asked for it. "Whatever you see is what I will see." Keep in mind that she was just rude to a customer in front me who expressed some concerns. Either way, I will def check back to see if my letter was delivered and I will get my money back if it not done in a reasonable amount of time. Soon as i can find another person to contact she will be reported as well. I realize that packages get misplaced or delayed however, as a manager, you are to make sure the customer is happy and are to treat them with the up most respect and take whatever issue they have seriously. I honestly just hate bad service.
Agree with another customer that if we could pick the delivery person or location it would be awesome. This is the second package that was "delivered at/in mailbox" and it wasn't. The chat system is not helpful as they can't look anything up. And you stay on hold for 30+minutes trying to reach a human when you call the 800 number. Issue is my package said delivered but when I go to pick it up 1) mailbox was left open 2) no package. Same thing happened a year ago with a package at my old complex where it was "delivered". I started a case for it, the supervisor said it was not one of her people that took it even though gps said it was at my box. This went on for three days. The apt office hand delivered it when usps dropped it at the office. We asked if it was another tenant, office said no it was usps. That box had been opened. The current one missing is insured this time so I will be filing a claim again to be told more bs about how great their people are.
I strongly suspect this post office of thievery at the highest possible level. I’ve waited for months to receive mail from this office to my P.O. Box after an address change. The address change never went through. My wife waits for mail in a nearby neighborhood, the specific piece of mail did not make it to our mailbox. Knowing what the contents were in that piece of mail suggest that this office may have one or more persons with very “sticky fingers”. Don’t go here for services unless you want to risk the probability of being robbed. UPDATE: I have permanently moved in the area (basically down the street from this office) since January. As of today, here in June. I still have not received any mail through this office. Packages, bills, important records, etc., you name it. Only thing that shows up in the PO Box....circulars, coupons...They took my money and kept their services to themselves.
there are such a horrible group of people working at this post office They will steal your gift cards that are paper and not plastic in an envelope. If you get gift cards from certain companies that just send them out without and envelope, like a card, you will not get it. I complained and after I complained, I haven't gotten mine in almost a year. The manager there is really not capable of running a post office. He is mentally unable. I don't know why they have a mentally handicapped person as a station manager of a Post Office . He is really stupid. People needs to put in complaints online and hope someone will get the complaint other than the people at this station. Horrible Place and we have not other way to get our mail except online and we cannot get all of our mail online. I wish we could and put these people out of a job. They don't deserve a job.
I have had bad experiences with this post office time after time. I have had packages missing that scanned in as delivered. After making complaints they would show up days/weeks later. My most current experience is having left a parcal on the counter that already had a smart label on it. I had been told previously that I didn't have to wait in line it it already had a label on it. Well never will I do that again! To this day the package has not been registered at the post office. The company where it was to be sent stated that USPS tracking should be available because they should have scanned the package when received. Now I'm even apprehensive when I order things and have to depend on this post office to deliver and dropping off packages that are already labeled. Next time I will wait in the long line and get a receipt. Bad business!!
DO NOT go to this post office. I repeat, DO NOT. The worst experience. So unprofessional. RACIST lady behind the counter made a remark to my face while laughing, “white people cannot wear yellow” — 1st off, I’m Hispanic and 2nd of all, why would anyone say such a remark? Especially to a customer who just was completely quiet after standing in line for 30 minutes. Let alone it was my BIRTHDAY, but what does that matter?! She proceeds to ask me, “anything fragile?” and I answered, “yes, glass.” Then she THROWS MY PACKAGE in front of me. What kind of place is this? You’d get better service in hell. My client received their package completely shattered. No shock! Never stepping foot in this awful place again. Sad experience to know this is the kind of neighborhood I’ve moved into. Lord help eradicate these demons.
If I could rate this post office 0 stars, I would. I went in today to locate a package that tracking says was delivered, but I never recieved. I was informed that whoever they needed to talk to in order to locate the package was in a meeting, and would call me some time today. I left my number, the tracking number, and my address. When at 4pm, I never recieved a call, I went back up to this post office only for them to tell me that my package was probably stolen and there is nothing they can do. I was then told to file a claim. When I asked what type of claim and how, with the post office website open on my phone, she told me to Google it. Thanks for the accountability, never actually calling me and all the great customer service. Don't know why I expected better from the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE!
So disappointed , my mum sent my daughter and I a package from my country which costed her a lot of money. Waited for almost two weeks only to be told it’s no where to be found. On their website when I check it says delivered in a locker box. So upsetting because it doesn’t make sense how it‘s lost when the USPS delivery driver literally scanned it and left it there. Been to the post office more than 4 time tried calling USPS more than 16 times only to be answered by the machine. No customer care to assist me. Today I was asked to claim online which it doesn’t give me any option of doing it. To anyone whom might have found it in his locker box please contact me, I have been home waiting for the package. For USPS someone needs to call me back.
This is the worst post office in history. I asked to see if my package was overweight and if I needed more postage. They said because it was prepaid they couldn't tell me. I said, you have a scale don't you? It's the post office you have to have a scale. If it's over one pound I need to know. They said it was already in back and couldn't help me. Why do you even bother having employees. I've had more problems in one year of living here than my entire life. Rude and mean staff. I will have to drive across town now because this place is useless. If you drop of a package you never know if it's going to make it, things scan in 2 sometimes 3 days later or not until delivered. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.
I’m going to finally leave a public review aside from always doing the survey. As far as shipping out of this location, I have never had an issue. The staff always moves the line & if you come in prepared you will be in and out. By prepared I mean, label and tape your packages. Guess what… the boxes are free!!! When I’m not certain what box will work for my item, I’ll either take it there and test it out or I’ll grab a few, take it home and assemble it & bring it back to mail when it’s ready. Preparation will get you in & out of any USPS in record time. Also extend grace to the staff, they’re overworked. But they show up! I appreciate this location and will continue to patronize it as long as I’m in the area!
Today was my first time ever in this location and it was wonderful. I had 1 package to send out and the line was about 6-8 people. 1 gentlemen dressed in yellow and had a black beanie on (I didn’t catch his name), came out of the back room and asked me if I only had the 1 package to send out. He was so kind and immediately offered to scan and take my package for me so I didn’t have to wait— self service was also backed up at the time. He double checked everything for me and even asked if I took a photo of the package so I could guarantee everything was delivered. After he helped me, he then proceeded to helping others in the self service line. This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had a post office!
I had a package show as delivered but never received it. I stopped by the office and talked to the woman at the counter to see what I needed to do. She was extremely nice and very helpful. I gave her my tracking number and she checked on the package. She told me it might have got delivered to the wrong address but that she would check with the person delivering to see if they can get it to me. She took my name and number and said they would call with any information. I wasn't really expecting to get my package but about 40 minutes later it was at my doorstep. This post office was super helpful and I'm impressed with how quickly they corrected the incorrect delivery. Great work by them.
My issue with this location is with the mail carrier(s). 3 times last year I've received a message that my package was "delivered in or near mailbox" but nothing was there. They swear they delivered my item but it wasn't in my mailbox or at my door. Last week, I found my box along with several others on the ground. This is unacceptable! I've complained but no one does anything about the missing or misplaced mail/pkgs. I also have had other people's mail placed in my box. These are careless mistakes that create an opportunity for identity theft. I don't know if its incompetence, poorly trained or they hired a bunch of cleptomaniacs but this staff needs to get it together.
I was shocked when I visited this post office today - the exterior was so overgrown with tall weeds that I honestly thought the post office was closed down. I should have taken the warning and gone somewhere else because the service inside was just as abysmal. The clerk literally had difficulty counting out the partial sheet of 20 stamps I wanted to buy (tried to sell me 50 to avoid having to count them) and the displays of Priority/Express mail mailers were completely disorganized. The only good thing was that I didn't have to wait in line. This post office needs some serious help and I plan to go elsewhere even if it is less convenient.
My experience with post office employees has remained uniform throughout my life - no smile, no friendliness, no effort beyond the barely sufficient to not be fired. No matter how friendly and thankful I am to them, their apparent implacable disdain for the public remains. Today all of the workers were of one race and were very friendly to the customers of the same race - at times laughing and conversing with them. They were, to the one, unfriendly to the customers of any other race. At the window the worker I had stood up in the middle of my transaction and left for five minutes - no mention of why or what was going on.
It's no wonder that the USPS posted a $3.9 billion loss in 2018. I walk in and there is a line of customers to the door, one employee at the counter, three employees standing behind the front counter gossiping and talking about the new medication one of them was prescribed.....I stood in line for 25 minutes to buy stamps (only because the automated machine was out of service). When I got to the counter I was informed that they were out of stamps because someone forgot to order more. When I asked to speak to a manager I was informed that there was no manager or supervisor on site. Somehow not surprised.
So today my husband complained to the manager at this post office about our mail not getting delivered to find out that we haven't had mail delivered since late September. Needless to say the manager was no help she states that the carrier says our car is parked to close to our mailbox, it isn't! So the mail carrier delivers our mail today but instead of putting it in the vacant mailbox she puts its on the car. Unacceptable! We've lived out our residence for 15years and NEVER had an issue until this new person. I will continue to complain until she's removed.
I usually drop off packages at self service or at the counter, but I needed to mail a passport application. Something caught in my throat, & I started coughing. I believe her name was Lauren, the USPS worker who was helping me with expedited shipping. She calmly handed me a bottle of water from a 6 pack at her desk, let me catch my breath & went back to helping me. She was very sweet to my daughter as well. Great service, with a smile & no judgment for coughing (coming out of the past 3yrs when you'd feel like a leper if you coughed in public).
Extremely incompetent and very ghetto staff. My leasing office is using this location due to damage resulting from a break in on our mailboxes. The man helping me was very RUDE as if this process isn't stressful enough. He told me that my package was not here... I stood here and tracked it and its been here for 3 days! He comes back with "Oh!!! You never said it was a package. You said mail." THE PACKAGE CAME IN THE DAMN MAIL AND I WANT EVERYTHING THAT'S DUE TO MY ADDRESS!!! No need to be annoying and sarcastic!
I spoke with jatoya about a package that was delivered that was opened both the box and the contents. She started out speaking to me with an attitude and it only went downhill from there. She was rude the whole time and and no intentions on answering my questions or helping me with something that was clearly an error the USPS did. I waited to speak with a supervisor and spoke to the person in front of me who has been waiting long before me. This was the post office at 3515 David Cox Rd in Charlotte NC
Second review. In less than two months at my new apartment another package has gone missing after it was "delivered." Supervisor Pam again became rude and didn't want to pull up GPS even though I know they can. If package is not found this time, going to take it to Post Master and talk to one of the Postal Inspectors we know as this is insane. I hate to see what happens when I order my chemotherapy pills and those go missing or anyone else's medications that are much needed!
Firstly, my package was suppose to be delivered the 7th of October, then it says the 13th. I leave the 13th to go out of town. I came the day prior to see If i could pick it up at that time and they were saying $40….. then said i couldn’t do that option and just to come in the morning to pick it up and they’ll hold it for me so it does not get on the delivery truck. I come and the next morning and they said they dont have it. Very unorganized and a waste of time.
My courier “attempted” delivery 8/19 which I was home all day and they never did. Scheduled a redelivery that following Monday 8/21 and still have not received my package. Now today 8/22 I’ve called this locations number four times and haven’t been able to speak to anyone. Why have a phone if y’all not going to answer? and Why have couriers who are to lazy to drop a package at your door if too big for mailbox? like seriously get it together.
Our mail box at the apartment complex has apparently been broken for going on a month. I’m not understanding how it’s broke when I can access my mail box just fine. One day the post office even delivered my mail into my mailbox. Then the next day continued to say it was broken and that I’d have to pick up my mail. I go pick up my mail and packages, only to realize I’m still missing packages. Thus I have to go back and pick up the rest.
I made a quick stop here just to purchase a single stamp. There was a line of about 6 people in front of me when I entered. We didn’t wait long as the ladies behind the counter were not only friendly but quick! I was in & out in less than 5 minutes & clerk 50 (I didn’t catch her name, only what’s printed on the receipt) was so sweet! Her smile & positive tone of voice were genuine. I would definitely visit this location again.
Lack of customer service, the old sir who was there yield on me saying I’m not allow to take a bag to pack my stuff while I wait in the line until I meet the front desk with him… why? Why not? After that he asked to go outside and wait outside because there was so many people already in the line (6 ppl in line). When I met with him in the front desk he was acting that was a new brand day and nothing happened.
Absolute worst Post office I’ve ever been to. Workers are incompetent to say the least. Especially the woman in the red vest. Employees in the back having a ball laughing cursing yelling at each other while nobody helps the long line of customers waiting. And they don’t care about their performance or making people wait unnecessarily one bit. The unprofessionalism here is at an all time high. AVOID
The worst customer service. Never attempts to deliver package to my house, just sends an “attempted delivery “ message to waste even more time waiting…sometimes when no one is even available. You would think someone would have the decency to say something? Nope! I have to ask, then I’m instructed to wait in the BACK of the line as if I haven’t waited for a while already. It’s ridiculous!
I just have to say my experience with Barbara was a breath of fresh air! She noticed that the way I was shipping my item would’ve fit in a flat rate box and be cheaper and ship faster. She helped me repackage my items and her customer service and personality was so personable and friendly! I know the post office often times is so busy so I greatly appreciate her kindness!
Worst experience ever. Rude front desk , long wait times, unprofessional attitude from staff. Front desk was frustrated she couldn’t find my package and blamed on me (a customer). I was simply following instructions in my email to pickup my package as it was never delivered to my house. Her feedback was unacceptable and very unprofessional.
On a regular basis my mail is not delivered. I have missed very important personal and business information. Some costly. FOR ME THE MAIL TECHNICIANS ARE AWESOME! UPDATE: 07/18/2023: I HAVE REMOVED 1 STAR. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! MAIL MISSING. GIFT CARDS MISSING. DOJ CORRESPONDENCE MISSING. THE LORD ONLY KNOWS WHAT ELSE. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!
Carrier lied that my package was left in my mailbox yesterday around 6:50pm. That's a lie. There was nothing left in my mailbox. Not even a key. Will be filling a complaint. I tried calling this location since 8:15 am and the phone is just ringing and on one is answering. Since 8:15am. That's a shame
We are here often and it's our favorite of all the post offices in Charlotte. It does get busy and we have seen plenty of "Karens" making their jobs pretty trying, but staff are the most friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working postal employees I've ever worked with. Kudos and thank you all.
Currently standing in a growing line for about 20 minutes and all I hear is loud cackling and feminine giggles in the back room are. No one is up front. This is very disheartening disgusting and irritating. Maybe this is the reason usps will be doing a mass firing in February. Smh!!!
Had a really great experience here today with a former USPS employee willing to help me work the self-service machine. The lady behind the counter was nice as well, but I could tell she was overwhelmed. USPS please hire more people! Thanks!
The staff is always nice and pleasant but this location is the slowest and most unorganized post office I’ve been too. It regularly seems like only one or two people are working and they’re struggling to get people in and out.
Saw the video. After the hundreds of reviews I have left for the low IQ post office employees, I am no longer promoting retraining. My recommendations now are to reassignment to McDonalds.
The self service kiosk has been broken for MONTHS and cannot ship packages. The line is out the door and only one person working. Fix the kiosk!!!
Barbara displayed such pleasant customer service this morning although our time was very brief. Thank you for being so kind.
Understaffed...long lines..usually only one clerk. If you don't mind waiting 20-30 minutes in line, go to another location.
A very nice clean post office the staff is very friendly and professional they’ll get you in and out quickly top rated!!!
I know the attendants do their best, but 40min in a line to ship 2 packages when the kiosk is down is no good!
Service was fast and Postal workers were very pleasant and helpful. Best experience I’ve had at a post office.
Extremely rude staff. Poor customer service and long wait times.
Worse post office!!! Long lines, slow service and rude staff.
