I've never had any issues with this post office, and Im a definite supporter of the post office in general. But recently (or almost two months ago at this point I think) they decided to change our big multi-family mailbox, for no real reason, there older one was perfectly fine and it's not like they added a new building or anything like that. Apparently the guy who installs and possibly "fixes" the mailboxes just decided it would be a good thing to do, as well as swap out the one at the other end of the complex. My usual mailman (who is wonderful btw) said that the guy is just not very good at installing them, since he doesn't check or make sure that the box is level, which causes it to not shut right. So this guy messed up both of my community's middle mailboxes about a month and a half or two ago, and HOLY COW DOES IT SUCK. I go to work before they open, I get off after they close, so the only day I can get my mail is Saturday, and they're only open till 3. And it's been that way FOR TWO MONTHS NOW. Jeez! With absolutely no sign of when we may get our mail privileges back. And when I go to pick up my mail I always ask, "hey, are they ever gunna fix it??" And they seem to have no clue there was ever a problem. Is it even on anyone's list of anything that needs to be done? I feel like we've just been completely forgotten and I'll never get my mail like a normal person again
Uptown post office: Carrier didn't leave package emailed to check on what happened and if box lock/ scan lock was used. Got a unprofessional email, basically saying not sure what it isi your talking about "scan box" but normal carrier was off. I responded with unsure why the rude email. Then phone call from post office Valerie she was rude saying we text you and I stated I never got a text but I did get an email and yes the guy was being rude. She continued to talk over me and after I asked for her full name stated I told you. I said no I want full name. She then hung up on me. I had to call back and then she stated stop calling and I told you my name 7 times, I stated I heard it twice but ok say it again, she stated your not listening I guess not tell me again. She stated valerie then hung up on me again. Another complaint was filled but I'm sure it's just us customers in the wrong. You complain and then it's ok for another to be rude and not listen. It's sad that customer is wrong but the USPS thinks they can be unprofessional and rude. So I guess I'll wait again to see if I get another rude person from there.
Thank you, Steve and Claudia, for your assistance on Saturday, February 20, 2021. We tracked down a package that was delivered to the main post office at 8:21 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021. The package we were expecting was crucial for a Greek celebration. The package came from Greece and was in U.S. Customs Office longer than expected which left us a little stressed out. The package contained a custom that must be given away to receive good luck for that individual/individuals. Those two people played a crucial roll in receiving that package. They both work at the Graceland Post Office. They do not open until 9:00 that day but my husband asked if they could check to see if the package was at their office. Sure enough it was. My husband asked if it would be OK to pick it up before the post office opens because we have a baptism scheduled at 10:00 a.m. After a few questions and an I.D. they released the package to my husband. Because of their great customer service, we were able to save the tradition. Thank you again Steve and Claudia.
At first every time I would get a package larger than my mailbox and I was told that I had to pick it up at the post office. Then not too long ago It took 3 months to get a package. The first time they said that there was no such address and sent it back. When I finally found this out It took me a long time to convince to original sender to send it back. When they finally did I still had trouble getting the package. The said no one was home, etc. I had to finally go to the post office and they found it in the back, even though they were still claiming that no one lived at my address, etc. I had requested that any packages sent, NOT be sent via the US mail, but unfortunately, Fedex has a deal with the US mail that the will turn over their packages to the US mail at some point along the trip!!! Now last week I called the post office about some medication and they found it in the back and that afternoon the came by with the package. I get one story one day and another the next.
I find the handling of packages at this p.o. to be rather lax. I am finally reviewing after multiple packages misplaced here. This is the 3rd time I have received notification from the sender (Amazon) that a package was delivered to the post office, yet the postal employee told me the package was not at the post office. On each occasion I had a tracking number and even the name of the postal worker who received the package! One time it took 3 visits over the course of almost 2 weeks to get them to finally locate my package. When I did get it, my name and address was on the package, so what gives? I have no doubt that there are a great many packages delivered to the post office, so with all of the practice they get why aren’t they more adept at processing incoming packages correctly and quickly? It’s disappointing that even after the sender confirms delivery it may take days before the post office puts a card in my PO Box to let me know that a package was delivered.
I ordered a package and after a month of not getting anything i went to the tracking number to see whats happening. They said that the address i put down was unknown. I went back to see what was the issue and there was none but i updated it just in case. Now after another month of not hearing anything back i called to touch base with them and if by any luck i could stop by and grab it. Ive been trying to figure out how to talk to anyone! No one is answering and it just rings for a couple minutes then hangs up on you. I called other places and they tell me that i have the same number as they do. When i bring up that when i double checked on google to make sure the number was right it says that this place is temp closed. They said that shouldnt be right but try a new number. NOTHING! Im really frustrated because its 2 MONTHS AND NOTHING!
The Airport Post Office on George Road in Albuquerque has got to be one of the worst Post Offices in the entire United States. I have a small business on Ebay where I buy and sell and I always have trouble getting my mail in a timely manner. I have had to go to the post office on numerous occasions over the past year to pick up mail that wasn't delivered or to file a complaint. Recently, it had snowed about 12 inches and the mail was never delivered. I went to the Airport Office to complain and was told by the Supervisor that they could not deliver the mail because of the snow. What ever happened to there motto " Rain nor Snow nor Sleet nor Hail Will Never Stop the US Mail". This is the first time in my life, I ever heard of a Post Office not delivering the mail and I have lived in 6 States.
This is my preferred location to go for mailing needs and/or any other service that the USPS provides. Thae staff there are very friendly and knowledgeable. No matter what personal issues they are having or problems they are facing, you would NEVER know it as they are always helping customers with a great attitude and a smile on their face's. I have been to Post Offices where it is quite obvious that the person behind the counter doesn't want to be there at all, and it really rubs me the wrong way. I know that I am just 1 of millions who us the post office, but I tell you what, it sure makes the experience a lot more pleasant when the men and women behind the counter are friendly and smiling, as well as helpful. I think these folks need a raise and some recognition!!
Th service is just awful!((( I have sent the priority package to Belarus here and was told that it will arrive within 6-10 days. In reality it took almost a month!( And I really needed those documents to arrive early! When I dialed the USPS phone indicated I was waiting for 55 minutes for an answer! Finally they told me that they DO NOT KNOW what is the policy for such a case and whether there is a refund and told me to go to the post office where I have send my package. This post office does NOT have its own phone number, only the general USPS number! So I can not call them I must go there!( After all they said they will redirect me to an international service line and then just hung up the phone! So disrespectful(
Very rude service. The woman was extremely rude and unprofessional and was not helpful. I ordered a package and was asking about it since it said it was delivered, but I never got it. The woman I spoke to was extremely rude and frankly I'm surprised she still has a job their with her lack of professionalism and bad attitude. She was unable to help me and raised her voice to me. She even went as far as to hang up on me when I was talking and when I asked her to repeat herself due to her not speaking clearly and fast she got even more rude. Frankly she should be fired because she is the worst employee I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to. Still don't know what's going on with my package ♀️
I'm a frequent shipper as I sell on eBay, mercari and Facebook marketplace. I simply forgot my packing tape, I had the shipping label printed out and the box was ready with the item bubblewrapped. All that needed to be done was taping the shipping label on the box and a final tape to ensure the box was securely closed. I asked if Gilbert the teller could help me with taping it up he looked at me with an awful smirk and stated they are a shipping company not a packaging company and told me I needed to buy one of their rolls of tape for 3.99$ which is completely fine he was just really snarky about it. I won't use this location again
Had to go because I didn't receive mail that was shown as delivered. I brought the tracking number and the red-vested mustachioed supervisor was immediately hostile. He showed me a google maps image with a pin at my address and told me that's where it was delivered. I tried to remind him that it was an apartment with many mailboxes, but he cut me off; several times. He took my address and phone number and said he'd ask the carrier. I asked if there was a way to document the issue because this kind of thing had happened in the past. He said no, that's impossible. It's impossible to hold carriers accountable. You have ONE job.
Unbelievable incompetence. One week ago, I requested a mail box key to receive mail at my new unit. Was told at the time it would take seven days. What is this? 1963? Today I return only to be told it’s not ready. It may take 10-15 days. Odd. That’s not what you said last week. No apology. No “Let me see what I can do.” Just a blank stare. I ask to speak to a supervisor. And wait for 15 minutes to talk to someone. Finally Michael shows up and to sum up the lengthy conversation: there’s one person who handles the keys FOR THE CITY and they haven’t been there yet this week. Maybe next week. Thank you for that.
i called in to find out status of a key being made for my apartment mailbox. Bob (the supervisor), that is all he would tell me. He stated, I didn't need to know his name. he was a very rude individual on the phone, no help at all. he asked me to call back to see if he MIGHT have time to help me. he was one of the rudest people, I have ever talked to anywhere. I guess, he can be rude, cause where am I going to move my business to! When I did call back, he wouldn't talk to me, as he was to busy. Guess will have to talk to his supervisor to see if he can more helpful, and not so rude.
I tried several post offices in Albuquerque and the people that work at this one treat me much better than any other location. I rented a PO Box at this location for a couple of years and then had to give it up when I moved out of NM for work. When I came back a few years later, I went back to rent a new box and they remembered me. They even searched for my old box number but it was taken. They got me one close to the old number. They are a great group of postal employees and I'll keep utilizing that post office as long as my job keeps me in town. Thanks for the great service!
I had been going to the Alvarado location because I usually need one that is open until 6pm, but there is always a line and I have noticed that the customers at this location seem to be the main reason that the line moves slowly. There have been several times that I have waited behind people using all of their loose change to pay or they didn't bother to fill out the address info or slips before getting to the window. I decided to try this location and it was very efficient and and the clerk was friendly. This is going to be my first choice from now on.
There was never a time when I arrived at the staff wasn't stoic or rude. Perhaps it is the stress of working with so many individuals, but nevertheless the ones working at this location are not customer friendly. In addition, one time we arrived before closing to mail medication to my father and they denied taking the small package simply because"Were close too closing." I understand working at a post office is not the most glamorous position, but you could atleast practice some kind customer service skills and take small packages.
Drivers REGULARLY do not deliver my packages. Claims "no one was home" when I was home all day and no one knocked on my door. Report as "mailbox full- left a paper slip with pick up directions" and not only is my mailbox is completely empty, but there is no slip. I've had multiple packages returned to sender "due to insufficient address" when the given address is perfectly fine and cannot be improved upon. Staff is frequently rude and you have to practically beg them just to do the bare minimum.
Though maybe a little under-staffed (obviously to no fault of the employees), this is my go-to post office in ABQ. Sometimes you hit a line, but I have never had to wait terribly long and the staff is almost always friendly, but always polite at the very least. I've also had some very patient employees help me with the Priority mailing, including giving me tape because I didn't know that was a "thing" and also making sure some tracking forms were filled out correctly.
I ordered a key for my new house and the post office has taken more than 2 months to make it. I’ve called multiple times, talked to both managers. Everyone there takes down my information and has promised to call me back but they never do. I’m really frustrated with this post office. I understand that post offices across the world are under a lot of stress given the current climate of the world but it seems like the staff does not communicate well with each other.
I encourage everyone to call the national line and file a complaint concerning this branch, as their phone system is nonexistent and requires a "remote access code", leaving you no choice but to go into the branch. With no phones and some (not all) particularly rude higher-ups, countless lost packages, near-years of wait-time for new mail keys (mine took eight months), this has to be one of the worst branches in Albuquerque to live near.
I doubt this review will change anything but the employees at this post office are rude as all get out. The lady with poorly dyed black/scraggly hair and lots of eyeliner in particular. It was making her day to be rude and inconvenience customers. I don’t know what you got going on hun, but I hope things turn around for you. Being rude for no reason is out of style..just like your hair and makeup.
Customer Service is below par. Person I spoke with was very rude. 2 times in past 2 weeks pkgs from Amazon were said to be delivered, but have never been received, and this is at an address where someone is home all day, so the odds of 2 pkgs being "stolen" are low... PO employee said he would "speak" with carrier. Considering how rude he was, I doubt he will call me back with an update.
Always operates at a high standard. I used to work near here and drop off company mail. Never had a problem. I drop off at the drive up box and by the time I get back to the office packages were usually scanned in already. Whenever I am in the area and I have something to drop off I use this location. Wish they could train other locations personnel.
A clerk by the name of Gilbert was very unfriendly and unprofessional. When I asked if i could use tape he said they don’t allow that anymore. Lol since when? I was here yesterday and another staff member let me use 2 inches of tape without a hassle. Where’s the customer service Gilbert. The other staff have always been kind and helpful to me.
The line may be lengthy at peak times, but the staff is always as helpful as they can be. The USPS isn't going down as an institution because of customer service (no matter the scale). Technology has made the mailing of letters and the need to go into a Post Office to mail a package, obsolete. I appreciate the hard workers at this office!
Someone in this office decided to change my keys in December and I went in to get it resolved and everytime I got in they say they will reach out to me when they have the issue resolved. It has been 2 months that I have not been able to access my mailbox and have had to visit the post office to receive my mail since then.
They don't answer their phone and they hung up on my call twice after picking it up and not saying anything. I could hear the typing when they hung up... Had to to call like 6 times before they finally answered and the lady that answered was rude as hell and not helpful at all. They are way more helpful in person.
I have always been satisfied with our mail carrier, but today I happened to go out in the front yard, saw a letter blowing around, picked it up and it was a CHECK that the carrier had dropped, luckily I found it. Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, this could be very serious, especially with important mail
This has to be the best post office in Albuquerque. Though they are incessantly busy at this location, the staff are professional, prompt, and always helpful. It seems like their goal is get the customer in and out as quickly and efficiently as possible. Kudos to the employees at 2505 Graceland.
I respect all postal workers and the hard work they do especially during this time. What I don’t respect is someone talking to me like I’m stupid. I called Friday to see if I could pick up a package and was cut off and the man who answered was incredibly rude. I will not be using this location.
This post office has always been good to me, the service is just fine, and the folks working there have been the same for many years. People get upset if there's a long line, but they're usually fast, and well, what can you expect when you go during the holiday rush!? This PO is just fine.
When you want to speak to someone in the post office their phone service makes it practically impossible. Getting to that option takes digging through menu after automated menu. After 10 or 15 minutes of digging you go into a hold cue for another 20+ minutes. Horrible service!
I think a lot of people forget that the post office is a service United States provides at a loss. Anyway today was painless likely because I used Google Maps to see if they were busy before I went in. I spent 2 minutes in line in about 5 minutes to ship off 6 packages.
Absolutely awful rude employees unwilling to help. Went in to ship and was sent to the back of the line after filling out To/From. I was there at 5:10pm prior to closing. After making it through the line the second time I was told they were closed and to come back.
Super nice staff that greet you and chat with you warmly. I was there to mail a box to Canada. They provided tapes. I also mailed a dozen post cards there ..but seems half of them get lost :(. Line wasn’t long for both of my visits in Saturday afternoon.
Accepted and mailed a package for me and then mailed me a letter AFTER THE FACT telling me they didn't charge me enough! The person I mailed to had to pay the additional postage otherwise the package would be returned to me. All this hassle for $2.50.
Staff is courteous and hardworking. Sending things out can be a chore and sometimes there’s a long line but that’s life! I’m always happy to ship from this location because every staff member I’ve dealt with has a great attitude, even under pressure.
Hit n Miss! Sometimes their service is great, other times unreliable. And if they Think you dropped junk mail on the ground they suspend service (I live in a neighborhood with Multiple apts and homeless) How would they know who dropped what
Be careful! If you want to avoid stress and frustration. DO NOT send anything of value. DO NOT use insured express services. DO NOT ship packages with USPS. If you pay for an express and insured service and the packages are lost, they do
Lobby hours posted at USPS.com are wrong. I attempted to enter the lobby at 7pm and the doors were all locked. Update your lobby hours, please. I generally use the self serve machines when here - the wait is usually quite long for clerks.
I’ve been calling for 20 mins and nobody can pick up the phone. My USPS driver delivered one of my packages and said the other one had an incomplete address? They were on the same order and now I can’t get my package. Unacceptable.
I went to this post office today to send a package. Everyone working there was so kind and helpful. This was definitely the best experience I've ever had at a post office. Honestly, it made my day and put me in a great mood.
My original experience with this post office wasn't that great. The guy was hard to understand and kind of rude but when I had some issues and called them most of everyone was really nice about everything and really helpful.
I ordered protein powder from amazon at the same address they always send it but USPS put the wrong delivery address on the label. It's now been 6 days since the expected delivery date and still haven't received my package.
Employee’s are rude. Gilbert is just someone who got bullied his entire life and now takes it out on people with the little authority he thinks he has while making 14 an hour but besides that post office is overall clean.
Wow, staff were so kind and patient here! Although, they were limited on overnight supplies, they still managed to help me stuff my box into another box with a better rate! Thank you for that and keep being awesome!!!
Inside automated package postage kiosk works well and has been for the last few months; before the credit card reader often failed. Great to use on weekends and outside regular hours when lobby is open.
The staff at this post office are very helpful. When a customer is hostile it makes their job very difficult. Posting a negative review reveals more about the person writing the review than the employee
I like this post office...location is near my home...staff always friendly and efficient...knowledgeable also...place looks packed when you enter, but I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes
Waiting in line 3 times Kept on getting told to cut the line when finishing paper work. But once I reached the front of the bald man in the red vest told me to go to back. Super unprofessional.
They can’t read they print labels with the “from” address and send me my packages back to me then charge me again to correct it. Just go anywhere but here. They can’t tell deliver to means
The manager is extremely rude and unhelpful. Unfortunately when you are reading this review, you prob already had a terrible experience or you don’t have a choice
The USPS is putting in New mail boxes at my apartment,so I go to the post office once or twice a week to check my mail.Always get good service at this store.
Bob (supervisor) is so RUDE. he has no customer service skills and not willing to help you if he does its with an bad attitude. everybody else is nice.
The postal workers are always hard at work, respec tful, but friendly ! I have personally gotten to know a few of them over a few years !
Stop delivering my mail to my neighbors! Whoever is in charge of sorting mail and delivering it needs to learn how to read!
I went in needing 25 quotes and Cindy helped me out so much and was so positive! If i could tip at the USPS i would have!
It's ok, they try. Usually awful lines....can't imagine what it'll be like during the Xmas season. Going to FedEx or UPS
My go-to post office in the city. I always have good experiences here. Lines are generally tame and tons of parking
I went into the post office to mail a package. There was no line and Robert was super helpful!! A great experience!
Talk about horrible customer service!!! Lady acts like she hates her life. How rude!! Sucks I can only come here.
Gary at Graceland location was so wonderful, patient and helpful! Made a stressful situation so much better.
Package clearly torn into when arrived. Looking for money or something else? 2nd time this has happened.
Kiosk credit card reader had been broken for over a month now and I've told them and they won't fix it.
Nightmare. There is always a long line and they have one person helping everyone. Poorly managed
They never answer the phone. What is a remote access code? And they even hung up on me.
Courteous staff. Well organized and easy to maneuver to get postal needs taken care of.
We experienced the most wonderful customer service with patience and professionalism.
My favorite post office! The people who work here are kind, helpful and patient!
This is one of my favorite post offices because the employees are nice to me
Sorry, I don't like lines... Not just over the holidays... Everydays !!!
Best post office in ABQ. Fast, efficient, helpful, friendly.
Staff is excellent. This is the only location I'll go to.
Good fast and we'll trained. This place is busy though.
So much better than the other spots around Albuquerque.
Very friendly folks working here, efficient & courteous
Always curtious and helpful. I appreciate all they do.
Mail is routinely stolen from the outside drop offs
Getting things is always a hastle from these guys
Sweet people! Thanks for keeping my day bright!
You'll never get ahold of them. Flippin awful.
Nice, helpful people and very quick service
