"This place is terrible"
"Got a package from Amazon and was supposed to receive the package on Thursday"
"Mailed 4 rolls of film, something you cant reorder, to a business that has a drop off box in event they are closed, but USPS stated it was undeliverable and lost my package"
"Under trained employees"
"Concerning the outside drop mailbox: why are the contents of this box only collected once a day? The box is literally 20 steps from the building"
This place is terrible. I ordered a package from a company, they put the wrong address on it, so it went to THIS post office, when my actual post office is a few zip codes away. The tracking map said it was here, at THIS POST OFFICE. I wait in line, finally talk to a guy who says "write your tracking number, name and address here" , I do. he sees the zip code and says "your package isn't here, it would never come here" I'm like "okay so where do I go" he says "go to YOUR post office". I did, and the lady there ACTUALLY PUT IN MY TRACKING NUMBER and figured out IT WAS ACTUALLY BACK AT THAT POST OFFICE. I lost an hour of time, a bunch of gas(when it costs almost 5$ a gallon)a lot of sanity, and my opportunity today to get my package, all because this elderly gentlemen working at this location, first of all just blew off my assumption that my package was there, which was hugely disrespectful anyway, I even showed him the map that showed it was here. He says "that's wrong" , brushes me off, then gives me inaccurate information because he didn't want to plug in my tracking number. It took the lady at the other post office 20 seconds to look it up tell me that in fact it WAS at that post office, and that the wrong address had been put on the package. Like, I understand people can be busy and they have a lot on their plate, but it literally would've taken him like 30 seconds of effort, the time it takes to type in a tracking number, and find that package. I feel hugely disrespected, and incredibly frustrated with this incident. NOT happy with the USPS. if I could give zero stars I would.
Got a package from Amazon and was supposed to receive the package on Thursday. They tried to deliver before my apartment complex was open and obviously couldn’t because it was too large for my mailbox. I went to this facility that evening to pick up the package and they said it wasn’t there which I understood to mean it might have been on the truck still. I requested to have the package delivered the next day when I showed up in person using the request to deliver paper I was given when they had the first failed delivery attempt (had to do this because computer system for redelivery requests was down..). Nothing showed up that next day (Friday) And so I requested a re-delivery via Web For the next day. Still no package on that Saturday. On Monday I finally called USPS and they put in a request for information on the location of the package and suddenly it appeared as “lost“ when prior it maintained the “failed deliver” message on the tracking. I had to re-order the package through Amazon and I really hope that it goes through a different shipping company. I’ve never had any trouble with FedEx, UPS or Amazon‘s shipping. The bad reviews regarding this location are completely valid and you should avoid using this branch if possible.
Mailed 4 rolls of film, something you cant reorder, to a business that has a drop off box in event they are closed, but USPS stated it was undeliverable and lost my package. Took 5 days for them to get back after opening a claim and all they say is oh we know it’s frustrating but we sorry. Such wonderful customer service all the way around. Update: I purchased insurance on this package and when filing a claim I was denied twice because USPS stated this package was delivered. The only way I found that out was by logging on. They don’t communicate at all. Use any other service to mail your package if able and DON’T buy the insurance. They will lie and deny you then drag it out so they don’t have to pay. It has said review for the 3rd time for over 2 weeks now. I’ll probably never be reimbursed. USPS could care less & There should be more accountability held.
Under trained employees. Pathetic. Shipped something out over seas and had a question on the customs form. The employee said he had no idea and has never done one. They need to know how to fill out forms that they deal with. After filling out the form he said he could not ship it because the customs form was to big for the package. I told him I have shipped over seas with this envelop before. He went in back and another employee said we cannot accept it because they don’t know how to attach the form. I went to another post office and they shipped it no problem and they taught me how to attach the form. The answer is they fold it. They FOLDED IT. 32714 PO IS PATHETIC. CANT EVEN DO YOUR JOB YOU ARE PAID TO DO.
Concerning the outside drop mailbox: why are the contents of this box only collected once a day? The box is literally 20 steps from the building. There has been numerous times that the box has mail sticking OUT OF IT! Other post office branches have multiple pick up times throughout the day. Like other comments posted I, too, have experienced extreme rudeness at 215 Donelson Pike. Once I followed an elderly man to the parking lot to give him directions to the airport branch. All he could get from the worker was a dismissive hand flip & a "Down the street." No excuse for this. 95% of us would lose our jobs if we performed in this manner.
USPS lost my package, the lady whoever answer my phone call.. was very rude.. I stated "I understand that my package wasn't received yet since April 24th, because of the virus" The women said its not because of the virus with a rude tone.. I gave her my tracking number for reference and she said according to the package its getting return to the sender because it had a wrong address but which was a lie.. because I have already created a case for this package and it was verified that I had the correct address.. Then she said "Good Luck man" and hang up the phone.. Terrible customer service..
Customer service is less than courteous. Came to pick up a package that for whatever reason didn't get delivered to my house even though it was listed as "out for delivery" on tracking. Within a couple hours it was updated to "at post office for pick up" before my mail ran that day. I just came up here today to pick it up. After looking for the package for about 5 minutes, someone from the back came to tell me they are 90% positive it's out for delivery today. The tracking still says it's at the PO for pick up. Ugh. 90% sure it's on the truck. So 10% you have no clue where it is.
I came to the post office today to send a package. The lady at the first window was very rude, zero customer service skills. I asked her for help with the label and she threw me the tape and said tape the label yourself!!? What kind of service is this? I couldn’t use the tape because was all messed up and she said “ Are you kidding me , you don’t know how to use the tape?” I spoke with and filed a complaint with the manager, Leonard. Sir, I hope you coach your employees. This shouldn’t happen, customer service people should be kind customers, friendly and helpful, NOT RUDE !!!
I can't remember a time where I've left a bad review. This post office is pretty bad. I keep getting other people's mail and the other day I got 2 other random people's W2s in my mailbox. Whoever delivers mail to the apartment broke our mailbox, so it's just sitting there wide open. I've been expecting letters for weeks now and I still haven't received them. I've tried to call the branch to get some help and the phone just rings and rings and rings and then the line goes dead. I once sat down and called them 7 times in a row and nobody once picked up the phone.
Delivery person on my route has a problem delivering packages to my apartment office. He leaves the notices in the mailbox that the package is in the office, I go to the office, there's no package. This is the second time this has happened. Apartment office has also reported issues with the mail carrier on our route. If the carrier doesn't want to do his/her job, then they don't need to be working at the post office. My package was medication I need for my heart and now I'm going on 2 days with no medication because the mail carrier is a lying sack of crap.
Terribly rude! There is never a call to be rude. I was advised by my mail carrier I needed to go by the office to pick up my item. Once I got there I was faced with blatant disrespect, curtness and on top of it all, a rude tone. It is a shame an attendant can provide awful customer service and continue the to so with no shame. Fortunately one of the other attendants stepped into assist. Sadly, to add insult to injury they couldn't find the item. It's disturbing knowing these behaviors can be changed, however, from the other reviews, has become acceptable.
Went to pick up a package marked "ready for pickup" 11 days after tornado. Package was nowhere to be found "because of large amount of packages being delivered to DCA." Myself and others waited in line over 30 minutes and the representative at the desk said he couldn't locate packages and mail marked ready for pickup. Asked for rep to call me regarding status, have not received call and currently waiting over 1 hour wait time to speak with someone at this location.
I had a package damaged all the way back in November and brought it in mid December for the claim for insurance. I had custom made headlights for my BMW and they and the box were damaged. So I waited and waited and finally got a letter saying therenis no proof of how much they are worth even with how much I paid them for. So I went in and found out the MANAGER THREW AWAY MY HEADLIGHTS. So they threw away my property. I'm going to try and figure out what to do now.
Stood in here for TWO hours when they clearly didn’t know where my package was and held it out of spite. Told me it “wasn’t there” and then magically found it and tried to tell me that having a package sent to a hotel is “mail fraud”. I live in hotels for a living/work. For over 6 years. Never had an issue with getting packages at hotel. Blondie at the front desk needs to work somewhere where she doesn’t have contact with people. These people are full of it.
i have called and called and called and NO ONE ever picks up i receive about 6 different peoples mail every time i check it that either haven't lived here in years or isn't even the same address i've left countless notes to the carrier in the mail box and absolutely nothing has changed over the time and time again i have asked nicely and i even put snacks and water in the mail box for them and they still refuse to fix the problem.
I only moved to this area in August of 23, and have had exactly one package shipped to me. Spoiler alert, it didn't show up. I appreciate the postal service as a whole, but this branch will just pass the buck along until you just give up and accept the fact that you just spent and wasted a hundred dollars on a lesson. That lesson is.... Have your package shipped to you at work or to a relative that lives in a different zip code.
I owned a PO box here for only 1 year. I have a small business and receive 1 monthly check each month. They've lost it twice. I have the app service that shows u a picture of your mail as it comes in. 2 different times it's shown delivered to my PO box only for it to not be there. And then they never found it and I had to sheepishly ask my employer for a re-issued paycheck. Yeah I don't do business here anymore.
Most of the women that work there are antagonistic. Beware of that before you go in. I had terrible experience with a woman behind the counter today. I usually keep my cool when I go in there knowing they are going to be over the top rude. Today I fired back. I feel sorry for these women that have to live their lives with this kind of attitude and negativity. I will never go in there again.
Clerk lady was nice, didn’t have to wait long (less then 5 minutes) not sure if this was usual slow or busy time (arrived about 4:15 PM on Monday) Works for me. I have huge respect for post people, they get us mail shine or rain or snow or ice. Thank you!!! Just little comment: (not in the mean way at all, I know ya’ll busy) time to trim hedges up front of building.
I have not received my mail for well over a week now. I did receive 1 piece of my neighbors mail. I own a small business so my mail consists of payments from my customers that are needed to pay my bills and buy the few holiday gifts I can in the dumpster fire of a year that is 2020. Thanks USPS, for really doing your part in contributing to that.
They don't answer the phone. I've been calling for the last 2 days and cant ever get through. It always says you're about to be connected to the next available agent, turns to dead air, and then it attempts to connect me to a non existent operator. Really wish my apartment complex did not use this office for their mailbox keys. That's all I need!
Literally the worst. Been at my new address for less than a year and this branch has lost 5 packages already and could care less if you can even get someone on the phone. They will misdeliver them and never be able to recover it. I cannot believe they are getting away with this .USPS has always been my favorite way to mail but not anymore.
Two weeks ago, on a Thursday I stopped by the Donelson post office at 4:00 pm and they were closed. Lights off, blinds drawn not a person in sight. The hours were clearly listed but obviously they were not open. I don't know if this is a regular occurrence but talk about a huge inconvenience. Word of advice, proceed with caution.
They never answer their phone. People’s lives and livelihoods depend on you all to do your job correctly. It is unacceptable to deliver to the wrong places consistently, and then lie about it. If you don’t want to do your job, please consider resigning and allow more competent people to take your place. This is ridiculous!
I have been waiting over a month for certified receipts. I have gone to the post office, left notes in mailbox, tried to call many times and no answer. I am a huge supporter of USPS and never had these problems before. Certified letters are important to a business. Something really weird is going on with this location.
The phone number doesn't even WORK anymore; it always says Call Failed. There's only ever ONE person working inside and if there's one or two people in front of you, go ahead and expect to be there for about an hour. Slowest post office on earth and they really don't care if your mail gets delivered or not.
I wouldn't even give this location a one star. Super rude, not helpful and they lost my package. I ordered through Amazon so it's beyond me why they couldn't deliver my package properly. They say the delivered to my front door but they must not know how to read addresses cause it clearly wasn't delivered.
Mailed five film rolls. One of which contains the funeral of a CHILD. They LOST THE PACKAGE. Completely unwilling to assist in locating it and the manager of this location is an absolutely VILE woman who is of zero help. Get a carrier pigeon before you consider using this location.
The Clerk Lied twice to me about my package being there. Very bad attitude and very disrespectful employees. When I confronted the Clerk with her supervisor about lying he didn't bother at all to even say sorry. Last but not least I don't know why they have to be racist too.
AVOID THIS POST OFFICE AT ALL COSTS!! The employees here are lazy, rude, and completely unhelpful. I’ve been here two dozen times and have never walked out with a positive experience. Hope this location cleans house soon or I will have to move my PO Box to another location.
Do not go here for passport interviews! It is much quicker to schedule an appointment in Chattanooga and make the drive. You'll get your interview done with and be back home quicker by getting it done in Chattanooga. The scenery also beats their drab interiors add well.
If this is the the branch that delivers to 37217,they are the worse.I tracked a package from China, which they delivered to the wrong address.I'm out $70 and the items that I purchased are no longer available. They have been delivering my packages to the wrong address.
I had a mail carrier leave a note on my door. Did not knock. When I called to compalube3 spoke with Karen. She was so rude and hung up on me. No wonder the post office is going down hill. I use them as last resort there is no accountability for their rude behavior.
As you can see from the other reviews, this post office is the absolute worst both in terms of mail delivery and accountability to resolve the aforementioned mistakes. I strongly support the post office overall so this specific branch is extremely disappointing.
Please avoid this place. I’m new to town, and maybe I’m used to my hometown’s post office simply being nice. No one here is ever nice or greets me with a smile. They take my packages, and say “Okay” usually followed by rolling eyes. Just be a little more kind.
I didn’t put my apartment number cause I had forgot so my package got lost but they found it . They told me they were going to hold it for 10 days until I pick it up , when I went to go pick up my package they sent it back to the company . Don’t go here !
I recently had to request a lock change for my home mailbox. The amazing service provided by one of my mail carriers, followed by a home delivery of my new keys blew me away! Thank you Donelson Post Office for your amazing display of service! …
This post office is so unprofessional and their delivery people other than Mac, which I think retired, is lazy. We have a new system at our apt complex and they don’t want to work with us to deliver our packages correctly. I have had to go to PO 3x now!
They take forever to do anything and do the exact opposite of whatever they say they're gonna do. I've called almost everyday for a week trying to get them to bring me my mailbox key that's already been paid for and all I get is excuses, thanks a lot!
The signs on the door say they're open until 5pm. But apparently not. A customer inside advised the lock the door @ 4:30pm every day. Cannot verify every day or not, but the door is locked today @ 4:37pm. As I mention, the signs say open to 5pm. Mike
I wish I could give this post office no stars at all! Within a matter of a month they have lost two of my mailed packages. The customer service is terrible. I will never go back to them again. I hope they get shut down or get new management.
I’ve used this office multiple times and have always had a positive experience! The staff can’t control rules and circumstances, which frustrates a lot of customers, but they still do everything in their power to help and make things work.
This is seriously the most absolutely ridiculous post office I've ever dealt with. Losing packages, ruining packages, the absolute lack of caring is ridiculous. The issue has been reported multiple times with no attempts at results.
It's almost 4:00 on a Tuesday afternoon. I need stamps to send some bills out and their office is closed at this location with no notice of special hours! All signage says it doesn't close until 5:00. This is ridiculous!!!!
always end up having to come back tomorrow when going to retrieve a package, after receiving "sorry, we missed you" slip. not sure why they couldn't just put it in the parcel box, seems like laziness.
I've had a package on the truck for 3 days out for delivery. For some reason they won't drop it off. Went to the post office and the clerk was rude made of excuses and could never explain to me why.
I've been receiving mail at my home for 8 years. I suddenly am having all my mail returned to sender even after 3 calls to this PO. I am furious that no one cares about what is happening.
I've spent a month trying to get an address forwarded to a PO Box at this location. Messy service. Look elsewhere if you want peace of mind. Undependable and they don't care.
Had two packages sent back to the original sender since they would never redeliver my package and leave it after filling out the card they left in my mailbox.
I would rate it a zero if possible. They are ALWAYS closed early. At this point, I have gone 3 separate times when it is before 5pm doors locked shades down.
This post office is a disgrace. Haven't gotten any mail in our area in over a week. Totally absurd! You also won't answer the phone! Does anyone work there?
This is the worst post office, unfriendly employees and slow, if your package is less than a four hour drive it might be quicker to drive it your self.
Posted hours claim open until 5:00 today: Thursday. I got here at 3:30 but doors locked with no notice or explanation. Inside looks nice enough.
Ernest is a true professional. He always has a smile and is willing to help you out. He makes doing business at this post office enjoyable.
Worst post office ever! The carriers keep delivering my packages to my neighbors mailboxes. This has happened several times …
We've paid for the same PO Box for 22 years. They return mail to sender, unknown name. Need new management at this post office.
This Posts Office Is Terrible Waiting On Customers Staff There Act Like They Don't Care About There Customers Very Poor Staff
They don't answer the phone, so no way to get your questions answered unless you feel like driving there and waiting in line.
Customer service agent was not wearing a mask today. And was aware she was not as I Made a comment to her about wearing it.
One of the worst post office and the post master. None of our items get delivered on time but marking them as delivered.
A mess...if I give could give zero stars I would..called for days, no one answered phone, not even the postmaster...
Not open during posted to be open times. Failed to re deliver my package. Had to hunt it down in the back room.
Very disappointed with the management everybody was rude. Was told I needed an appointment and come back
Terrible, can't call and talk to anyone, automated garbage that gets you no where. Poor poor job people
Always managed to be closed whenever I go by. The doors are locked, and it’s 2 pm on a Wednesday
I use this post office all the time. Friendly staff, never any issues! Save the USPS!
Very slow - at times I feel intentionally. Absolutely not customer oriented at all!
They are the rudest most disrespectful human....especially ol Karen "supervisor "
Still waiting on an envelope to make it to its destination. It’s been 2 months
Don’t put Anything in the outside receptacle. They only check it every 2 days
Worst Very slow Every time I go there I spent 20 mins wait Staff is very slow
Do you guys ever wonder what you’re doing wrong or do you just not care.
Obviously overworked. Not enough staff. Irregular hours and closings.
Such harsh comments. We are all just trying to do the best we can.
Very slow...delivering mail ..been 2 days no pick up or delivery
Always a consistent terrible experience visiting this hell hole.
They mistakenly delivered my mail to my neighbor several times!
Terrible service, Ride, and they don't answer the phone!
Short staffed and slow clerks
Customer service is rude
Friendly service.
HORRIBLE
