I want to preface this by saying that I absolutely love and respect my USPS workers and all the hard work they do. Without them, my work wouldn't be possible. I appreciate them so much. I don't understand how some people can be so rude to them. However, if you get a p.o box here, be sure to check that they remove the tape and actually open it. I opened my first p.o box here so I didn't know that tape across it means its closed. I just assumed they had some system I wasn't aware of. I had a p.o box for 3 months and received not one piece of mail. For 50$, I would expect some form of service. As a writer, this is very detrimental to my work. I have been waiting on international work as well as US writers work and received absolutely none of it and it is now lost. No one could help me with any refunds and suggested I just close out the box to avoid a future headache. This was really disappointing as 50$ is multiple hours of my pay at my day job. I worked multiple hours to be able to afford opening this box and received no refund for an error on their part. Lastly, Gaylon, the bald clerk with glasses here (mentioned in other reviews) is the rudest person I've ever encountered at the post office. He is mean and shows that he does not care about anything that you are going through even if its not your fault and instead a usps error, as mentioned above with tape covering my box for 3 months. I've had him multiple times and try to just smile and be kind and say thank you have a great day regardless of if he is rude to me, but regardless I am met with his bad energy. He only changed his demeanor when he saw that I waited in line to talk to his coworker instead of him because he is so difficult to work with. I've hated my job before too and I get it, nobody gets paid enough to bring sunshine and rainbows everyday, but come on man. You shouldn't be talking to people that way. That karma will come for you. Nicole is the nicest clerk here and she is always so kind and has the best energy and I really appreciate her. She was the only person who actually tried to help me and sympathized with me for losing 50$ for a service I never received. Again, I love USPS. I hope they never die, their service is so necessary and I appreciate them, but I cannot in good faith come back to this post office again. I should have listened to all the reviews and gone elsewhere.
These stars are for the super lady who helped me. I agree 100% that something hinky is going on here though. I sent a small painting in an insured, priority mail package to an art gallery. The package was clearly marked with "fragile", "insured", "priority", yet it never reached its destination. I submitted a claim for insurance, but it was rejected twice because they said the package had been delivered. I had notified the gallery director when to expect delivery and she was in there the whole day, but never heard or saw the carrier. I assumed the package had been left on the porch and was stolen. I called the USPS 800 number and that person was extremely patient and helpful and suggested I file a complaint with the University Post Office, which she helped me do. Because I did that, I was contacted by Tara at the University Post Office who said she would investigate. Over the next few days, Tara called me several times to give me a progress report. She discovered that the package had been scanned at a DIFFERENT ADDRESS! And of course, no one had seen it. Tara even went to the address to ask about it in person! Because Tara went out of her way to help me, this story does have a happy ending: I was paid for my claim! But I still want to know if this carrier was investigated or reprimanded for their shoddy and irresponsible work. Or if they might have my painting hanging in their den of thieves. It pathetic, but I will never send anything important again without paying extra to get a "signature required". NOTE: If you have a problem, see Miss Tara at University Station! She's awesome! I give her FIVE stars. To the carrier who created this mess and wasted all our time, you can take those stars and....
Regarding PASSPORT APPLICATIONS This post office is horrible. The whole experience is frustrating. First, you are required to make an appointment online. When you show up on time with all your paperwork ready, you stand in line. But when you get to the front, the clerk will verify your appointment time and then tell you to go sit in the corner until they can get to you. What are they required to do first? Service EVERYONE in line. There has to be NO ONE in line for a designated passport clerk to leave their post and take your application. It’s like being in a really bad sitcom. And you’re the star. You sit in the corner and watch while the two clerks make idle chit chat with each customer until the line just happens to build up again and they can’t leave their post. They are laughing and having a good old time ignoring you in the corner. This happens over and over again like an I LOVE LUCY episode. Just when you think NOW? Someone walks through the door and they can’t help you. At least 50 people were served before there was a slight break and then she poked her head out from the counter Ms SO and So? Like she didn’t know where I was. She knew where I was. I asked why make an appointment at 2 when the 50 people served had no appointment at all. 3:30 before I was seen. And they acted like this was normal. Haha haha. Laughing all the way. What a horrible not customer driven experience. They just don’t care. Following procedures?? What a joke. On me.
I was told my missing package was delivered by a "temporary" postal worker from this location, while the usual was out sick that week. I live in a building right next door to this post office, where all mail and packages are placed in a locked mailbox. This postal worker left it outside at the building's front door, on Richmond Avenue, per their delivery notes. It makes no sense that they would do that and the package was obviously stolen. It was sent priority express & insured, but USPS denied the claim despite all of this, and I was pretty much told by the person in charge at this post office (her name is Austin) there is nothing they can do, even though they acknowledge that the worker was in the wrong. She offered no help at all. Prior to talking to her, another postal worker said the claim should not be denied, since the package was insured. What's the point of paying more for priority express and insurance if USPS isn't going to honor it? USPS, and this post office, are awful to deal with.
Scheduled an appointment for 2 passport renewals. There is a sign on the front of the building and on the web page that the Richmond Ave location does passport photos. I arrived to an empty lobby and was rudely greeted by 2 women behind the counter. They asked if I had an appointment and I answered yes then with attitude asked if I had photos. I answered no and that’s when they said go to CVS or Walgreens. I immediately went to CVS and got the photos. I came back and was there on time for my 1:15 appointment. Again the lobby was empty yet the ladies made me wait 15 minutes more for no reason. Then additional people came in (approximately 5) all were inquiring about passports. The ladies responded in the same rude manner to everyone. In the private sector no one would be able to keep their job with these attitudes and treatment of clients. Who is the manager at this location? How can improvements be made. The situation is totally unacceptable! The rating of 1 is too generous.
The customer service rep Debra is very rude and unwelcoming. Today, when I approached the counter to simply purchase a shipping label I spoke to her saying "good morning", she gave me an unpleasant look as if she didn't want to be at work and didn't want to assist me. I asked to use tape for my package before I made the purchase and she informed me in a very rude tone "no tape is only for priority shipping, you can buy tape". Ok why would I buy tape if the cost would be greater?!? I'm confused. Your job is to provide great customer service, not talk to customers in a rude and nonchalant tone. I decided to do my transaction at the kiosk instead. I was able to save time and money, and avoid her nasty attitude. This is my second time going to this location and having another horrible experience with Debra. She treats most of the customers rudely from what I observed. I'm not one to tolerate it, I will be making a formal customer complaint with USPS! Treat people better Debra!!
Sent a big box around 50lb on Dec 31st with Priority mail insured from this location to Los Angeles. But the package is not delivered till now. I have raised missing mail search and nothing has happened. The stuff in box are expensive computer parts and they lost it and I dont have the tracking info or receipt thinking it would have been delivered on time. There is no way to track a package without tracking number this is how the USPS runs. I called in to get a copy of my receipt one lady answered and said they wont give the receipt copy and other time a guy answered and told to come and pick up the receipt and the other time they said they can only provide if it is within 2 weeks. This is the worst experience with USPS. PS: I myself took the box and kept inside as the box is heavy and no one is there to help the lady in front. I doubt they didn't ship the box and its still sitting in same location.
I went here the other day to ship out my package and there was a nice lady at the entrance to the line to greet me. She asked if I needed assistance with anything. Which I did because I don't go to the post office very often. After her help and then waiting in line, another worker asked if anyone in line was wanting to ship out packages locally and if so to follow her to the self help kiosk. She helped speed up the process by entering everything in the kiosk for me. After everything the lady who 1st helped me grabbed some tape and started taping my box better because she wanted to make sure it was sealed well. It was very sweet of her to go above and beyond to ensure that my package would be safe. This was by far the best experience I have EVER had at a post office. Thank you ladies for all of your help and for going above and beyond to make it a quick but great visit.
I always ship pre-paid items via USPS but this time the gentleman working here refused to give me a receipt despite the fact that I waited in line quite a bit. He said for the receipt, I can use the self-service kiosk. I asked him kindly if he can just scan it since Ive waited it for so long and give me a receipt himself since I do this all the time and not a single usps employee told me they wouldn’t be able to provide me with a receipt. He said he couldn’t give less “f*cks” what other employees said and I should just use the kiosk and threw the box back at me. I asked him for his name and he refused to provide it to me. People started taking my side after witnessing what just happened and he got even more furious that everyone was taking my side on this. For reference, it was May 3rd at 3:15pm and he was a tall black man with glasses.
DO NOT USE if you care about timely shipping. I (used to) use this post office because it is one of the few left with outside mail slots big enough to fit small packages through, and I have a baby so it's easier than getting the baby and all of my packages out of the car to go to the indoor boxes at the post on Dunlavy and W Gray. HOWEVER, I will no longer be using this Richmond Ave post office. I have just had a batch of labeled/postage paid packages sit for nearly a week before even being updated to "Origin Acceptance." Packages that should have taken 3 or 4 days to be delivered have taken 2 weeks. Even one of the packages I sent was returned to my mailbox for no reason, with no markings or writing. Just sent back to me with no explanation despite all of the weight and address information being correct. Is this station being closed?
I came here because it was the closest post office to where I was and I had to ship some film. The guy who helped me was rude to everyone in front of me in line and he was rude to me. I don’t usually ship things so I always ask and make sure I have done everything correctly and he seemed completely appalled by my question and he didn’t even look at what I did before he sent me back in line. I really needed to ship the film so I just waited behind two people and when it was my turn again I approached him and everything was fine until I paid. He asked me for the last four digits of my card and when I accidentally read him an extra digit he grabbed the card out of my hand and yelled “I SAID THE LAST FOUR NOT FIVE” and it was so rude and it was such a little thing. I won’t be coming back here even if it’s the closest post office.
I’m kind of sad and shocked by the bad reviews for this branch. I am here regularly and see a lot of dumb/bad behavior by patrons. I see someone show up nearly every visit without their item properly packaged, or without having had filled out the forms they need to fill out (customs for International etc), then get mad if clerk won’t provide tape or help them fill out form. How is that the clerk’s responsibility? Since pandemic, lines are always out the door with same number of clerks. Honestly, this job looks exhausting and patrons are impatient and hostile. I’ve been lazy and haven’t been filling out the customer satisfaction survey at the end of my receipt, but I will from now on. I get good, no nonsense service from overworked clerks, and appreciate that they are dealing with the public in a deadly pandemic.
The clerk assisting us was very friendly and fast and our experience with her was great. Word of warning, I don't know why or how long this is going to go on, but they ARE NOT taking passport photos at this location. I showed up 20 minutes before my baby's appointment and asked where we needed to wait and was told if we didn't already have our photos, to go to Walgreen's to get them done. It took 50 minutes from leaving the post office to get back (and that was being seen right away at Walgreen's). Fortunately, they honored the appointment and processed the application. So call ahead and ask, and maybe just go to Walgreen's before just in case. Did not appreciate loading and unloading my kid an extra time and making an extra trip when I picked the location because they said they took photos there.
Worthless place. I'd give it negative stars if possible. Incompetent, rude, slow employees who know nothing about their own system/jobs. I needed a package to get to its domestic destination within 2 days and was told I did not need to do overnight shipping and that the priority shipping (I added insurance and tracking) would get there in 2 days with no problem. Should have know the idiot woman had no idea what the hell she was talking about..why would she, she only works there and does this type of thing all day every day...My tracking online says it will arrive in 6 days! NOT 2, BUT 6! Called and spoke to manager and called corporate office and they could care less. Said "oops, oh well, it will arrive when it arrives." Oh gee really? Wow, so insightful and so intelligent.
This is not the Office per se, more the mail carrier. He CONSTANTLY (I mean every single day) delivers the wrong mail to our address and the only thing that the wrong address and my address have in common are the first four numbers. Everything else is not even close! Also, our dog barked at him outside, so we immediately put her in the house. Then he started BANGING on our front door and yelled at us to put our dog up or he would shoot it. Even after we told him she was already inside, he insisted we were lying. UGH!!!! I have about had it with this moron and the postal service in general!!! Anyone know who exactly I can contact about this man?
I lost numerous packages from Amazon because the carrier would always leave my packages at whichever door at my duplex/fourplex community. After the second package went missing in less than a week, I started shipping everything to my boyfriend's home who lives in South Houston. Amazon stopped reimbursing me for lost shipments and when I called the office, they weren't much help either in helping me figure out what the problem was. Any package that is larger than my mailbox, I do not trust the USPS I'm zoned to deliver to me. I wish Amazon would go back to UPS. They were so much better about making sure the packages got to the right place.
Made an appointment to get my passport. Showed up 30min early to make sure I had plenty of time. Waited in line for 15min and when I got to the counter was told that the passport services associate was not there for the week. They then sent us to another post office saying that they would be able to service us and they would accept our appointment. Got to that location and they said that they would not be able to help us. They then sent to us to the public library. By this time locations were closed. Beyond frustrated with the entire situation. I don't think I have ever had a positive experience with the US Postal services.
I don't normally go to this location, I go to the one near the Galleria which has its own issues. But this one is now officially the worst. Terrible customer service! I was in here to mail some envelopes today, aware they close at 5. But I got up to the counter at 4:38 which is more than enough time to scan a few envelopes. The employee, who I now see has gotten mentioned in reviews multiple times, stated that it would take too long to scan in my packages and he wouldn't do it. But he was fine telling me to go downtown to take care of it. Totally unacceptable behavior from that employee. Never returning here again
we had a priority usps box with insured sticker sent to address. It was scanned but not delivered. The receiver was home at the apartment. Never had a knock on door. neighbors all said they didn't get it. Its been over a month and the claim has still not been resolved. A african american lady keeps saying she will call back and doesn't or won't return messages. Very disturbing. There was a Starbucks card a wallet and a 100 dollar bill with bday cards inside. Guess someone else got the birthday present. However the Insurance sticker probably was a dead giveaway. Never use the USPS again it will be Fed Ex or UPS.
Based upon my personal experience and the comment ratings, this post office is severely lacking competent leadership. I have been to this location to complain about our highly passive aggressive delivery carrier on at least six occasions. Each time "the manager" claims that they will address the issue of our mail not being delivered and left at the post office for pickup. Unfortunately, nothing is ever done and the postal carrier continues to abuse his responsibility to deliver our mail. Beware of the semi-toothless male mail carrier with the pink streaked hair that delivers in the 77006 area.
I have a PO box and have for over 10 years at this location. In July 2016 I had 2 packages not arrive. I tracked them and they arrived at this location but never to my box. When I questioned the latin male employee his response, "we dont steal." I didn't ask anything about a theft I wanted them to look for it. August 2016- a 3rd package goes missing between arrival at location and my box Today I went in to pick up a package I was tracking and had arrived. Female employee with a nasty attitude said it wasn't there and if it is missing it's not her problem. Beware Thieves work at this location!
There was a greeter at the front that was super friendly but the employee assisting with our passport application, Debra, was super misleading. I brought a checkbook to make payment for passport fees and she said I could just use a debit card. She then proceeds to sell me a money order for 1.75 when I though I was using my debit card as payment directly. Using debit as a payment method for an application is not the same as paying for a money order! If you would have said “money order” I would have written the check. I let her know that it was misleading and she didn’t seem to care.
carriers at this location are terrible. they leave packages outside on the street IN THE RAIN and it's impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. i'm complaining on behalf of a business in the area. we are constantly missing packages and large envelopes. we have a locked mailbox and if something doesn't fit inside of it, the carriers just leave it on the sidewalk ON RICHMOND AVE, near the bus stop! now the carrier's aren't even delivering mail during normal business hours anymore so we constantly have to drop our outgoing mail off to the station. very frustrating!
incompetent and lazy supervisors carrier stopped delivering mail to my office and the supervisory team is unwillingly to address the issue. I understand that most residences don't care because its mostly junk mail but business's still have to receive checks via snail mail just asking that they do their job at least every other day. having to take loans out to cover payroll because carrier has not delivered mail in three weeks. Tried to resolve with supervisors but they don't care. i just wish less than 1 star was an option
The entire staff is incredibly rude. Put my mail on hold through online almost a month ago and a changed my address online two weeks later because of moving. And apparently they have no record of it at all. They proceeded to tell me that the carrier just didn't recieve it? But then said changing and holding my mail would be best to do online, which I literally did and had the emails to prove it. So they have absolutely no idea where any of my mail have been sent for almost a month now. The staff are rude and useless!
The workers here are living proof that we still walk amongst Neanderthals. They don't tell you when they are done doing anything, they just walk away. They tell us to ring a bell and wait, and then talk amongst themselves about how no one is even back there in the first place instead of just saying it's closed. I get it, you make maybe $11 an hour and have to scrape change to make it through the month, but honestly you can quit and be useless at home instead of in a place where people need their packages.
Express Mail RIP OFF. Paid $8.65 to send a letter since it just had to be there within 3 days and didn't need overnight. Arrived EIGHT DAYS later. USPS says that 1-3 days it quotes for Express Mail is not guaranteed. So, you pay $8.65 for the CHANCE that it'll make it in three days. And NO REFUND. Of course they don't tell you this when you are paying for Express Mail. $8.65 down the drain since I had to go to FedEx to get a replacement sent since the USPS one was MIA. HORRIBLE SERVICE.
I'm not quite sure what everyone is so worked up about. I came there and dropped off a package, and then later I came back 30 minutes late for my passport appointment( which I was supposed to call and make an appointment for, but I did not). They talked to me like I was anybody else, but helped me, even though they definately didn't have to. They were even going above and beyond for other customers, and they were very nice to them as well. Maybe, ask then how their day is going?
Terrible Service! Had an appointment for 2p for passport service with photo..arrived early as requested only to be advised the camera is broken and I have to go elsewhere to take photo. I find a different location to take photo and return only to have to wait while 6 other people go ahead of me.. what is the point of appointments.. why did no one call to advise camera was broken ahead of time.. why was the lady so damn rude.. these are the questions I have .. this is awful..
There is a postal worker at this location that is so rude!! He wasn’t wearing a name tag, but he’s bald and has glasses. I’ve had two different encounters with him, and he just seems like he hates his job and every patron that walks in the door. He wants to argue, doesn’t follow USPS guidelines that I read straight from the USPS website, and just has horrible customer service all around. I know USPS is a great company to work for.. I wish he would appreciate his job more.
If I could I would give 0 stars. This place is incompetent. I come to weigh my wedding invitation. The guy says that the weight is an additional ounce. I said I need 166 stamps for the invitation. He sales me 166 1oz additional stamps for $55. When I come back 5 minutes later explaining I think he misunderstood me the immediately say all sales are final and I asked for the wrong thing! I had to buy another $112 worth of stamps because HE didn't understand me! Idiots!
I am an immigration attorney, and my client’s green card was just approved. He is traveling to Brazil to see his family for the first time in YEARS on Friday, but he moved so his card wad being returned to USCIS. It would have been a nightmare to get him proof of status for his trip, but Ms. Siverand and this USPS saved the day! We called and she pulled the card and personally handed it to him. Thank you, thank you, thank you and bless you! We appreciate you. ❤️❤️❤️
This is where human decency, logic, and customer service go to die. They said they attempted delivery. How could they? I’ve never failed to have a package delivered from any mail service. They said I requested it be held. How could I? I never saw a slip. I got to the post office. They put me to the side for an inexplicable reason and made me watch them service two other people despite my waiting. WHY?! Whyyyy?! Why??? Zero out of ten. Run, Citizen!
Are you serious people? I have never been so poorly treated by a staff in my life. Where is the chain of command? It seems that no one here is held accountable for their actions. If you do not enjoy your job, please do not transfer that energy to the people you serve. From the lack of professionalism, to flat out being rude and unconcerned. I don’t know what was worse at this point. Please do better USPS... Your community deserves much better.
This post office is absolutely the worst. Once again they lost another signature package. It has been two weeks and all I have received from them is crickets..........absolutely nothing. I've had two managers tell me that they will look for it, then get a hold of the carrier and call me back. What the kicker in this was there were 3 of us in there with the same issue. They could care less its no sweat off their skin on a lost package
Damn near everyone in this place is downright rude. Unfortunately this is my local post office, which means I have to come in when they can't deliver my package, which is easily 80% of the time. Terrible. Horrible. Awful. Typical government employees. EDIT: 20 minutes and counting, still standing here, waiting for them to find my package that should've been delivered Monday but instead has been sitting at the post office instead.
I come here all the time because it’s so close to where we live. But a lady whose tag says Deborah Grant is very rude! My 4 year Old was looking at the greeting cards and she rudely yelled “i don’t want anything to be messed up so you better not mess anything up!” Very rude! Being nice is free, she obviously can not afford some manners!!!!! At least fake it to a customer, very lazy and VERY VERY RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The US post office does not stand behind its advertised delivery times. The sign inside says 1-3 business days, the rude employee said 7-10. At this particular location, I was in a parking violation because I exceeded the amount of time to park in a spot (15 minutes) as the wait inside took nearly 30 minutes. More than one person waiting on customers is needed...and they wonder why customers disrespect the Post Office lol!
I don't really give bad reviews but I feel obliged to warn people to not come here. My experience for passport was horrible. My appointment was at 9am, yet I waited for 50min. Not because the line was too long but because there's no one in the counter. In addition, on the website you have the option to take photos there, yet I was told they cannot take photos...And most importantly, their staff was VERY RUDE.
I had the best ever experience. I went in to mail items in a USPS box. The Manager came over and gave me advice on sealing the box and provided the tape. She showed me how to use the self-service machine to print the postage and where to affix to the box. She was wonderful and I could not ask for a better experience in mailing a package. I will look forward to returning to the University Post Office.
I had a great experience here. I had no idea what packaging to use for my shipment and the woman working the front desk helped me out tremendously. She gave me a couple of options, gave me pointers on folding the box and gave me the best possible price for my shipment. I see the other reviews on here and didn’t have the same experience as they did. Thank you for your help! I’ll be back
Passport service - all branches require an appointment which then they do not honor. The regular line has to be clear before they will take you and it is never clear. So don't bother. At least they were nice about it. But they take eBay traders who have 25 packages from the line but not passport because we are too tedious. I was the first person at the site but never got called.
Horrible customer service. What's the point of 10am appointment for passport when multiple walk in customers, who came in after us, were called in by the same lady who works on passport? 10:40 now and we're still waiting. When my wife had a question, she was yelled to wait at the passport waiting area. No wonder this place only has 2.2 star review. Would leave 0 star if I could.
They never delivered important pension papers in the mail so I have to start the whole process all over again. They also failed to leave a package that was tracked as delivered that had jewelry in it. They often leave letters for people in my mailbox for people who haven’t lived in the apartment for over 5 years that have had their address changed and sent back multiple times!
I scheduled a passport appointment several weeks ago. When I arrived today the person who was supposed to be processing passports was not in. One of the other staff members notified me that she had called me twice this morning. I received no such calls. I rescheduled for next week and left. I am very disappointed and inconvenienced. This place has horrible customer service.
Terrible customer service from the gentleman. Terrible attitude every single time I’ve come and never helps on trying to Mail something. It’s difficult trying to Mail something when you get no assistance from the employee. Not like I’m asking for much just assistance. Almost if they want everything ready for them the kiosk was more helpful and didn’t have a terrible mood.
Called could not speak to a employee and machine could not understand a word I said. Eventually after pressing zero 30 times I was transferred to a gentleman named Andrew which honestly i believe was outsourced. He asked for my zip and gave me the number to the post office closest to me. The same same number I just called. So I called again and got the machine. I'm done.
The gentleman working at the counter today (wearing glasses) was so rude and unhelpful. Even his coworker felt bad for me. I came in after working all day in the heat and didn’t have tape and he wouldn’t let me use any tape. I asked him if he could just help me out once and he was just rude. Go somewhere else. I’ve had way better USPS experiences elsewhere.
The worst and most stressful experience I have had this lady help someone but also talking to every one else no one knows what she is talking about or to who ! And she get mad when no one answers her because she is all over the place and rude . Talk super fast . If you don’t like your job just quit! It’s not our fault you hate your job !!
Took the day off work as well as my wife to get our son's passport, got there to be told it was canceled, rescheduled for two days later, so again my wife and I took off work, called the night before to be told the appointment was again canceled. Insane. And to top it off, they gave us attitude about I'm canceling. Avoid.
UGH! Horrible experiences at the post office are just universal. They know nothing will happen to them and I just know they all circle jerk each other on break when bragging about how they mistreat everyone for no reason. Who are we going to complain to? Idk the post master general. I wish every usps was a starbucks.
By far the ABSOLUTE worst customer service ever. Witnessed multiple confrontations between employees and customers while waiting in line before ultimately experiencing my own. These employees are clearly miserable and look for any opportunity to cause a problem rather than help customers navigate the mailing process.
Presented completed form and requested mail hold. Not done. Waited for clerk 20 minutes. No mail was held. None to pick up. I had personally spoke with manager ,Tena Bowman. My written request for mail hold was ignored. Desk employees and back room employee were rude and indifferent. Really bad service!!!!!
Bad location. Scheduled my appointment a month a head and no body was there to help me. Only one employee and she sent me away claiming the employee responsible for my service is not there. Very disappointing!!!! Update, The worst post office! Bad customer service with the rescheduled appointment.
Phone connection too long. Contact with person at the end of choices and badly delayed after that. One hour wait time to get an answer. Mail holds not effective last three times I tried. Service people at counter OK, helpful but understaffed. Mail carrier has been delivering wrong mail too often.
Scheduled for passport renewal. They called before the appt and rescheduled me for 1 week later, at 8am. Impressed that they added a work hour to clear backlog even though they normally open at 9. Camera still broken as of April, 2022, so get your photos done elsewhere first, to save time.
This place is always a terrible experience. Tried to drop off a postage paid package on a Sunday and the package drop box was locked. Nothing larger than a letter could be mailed. If the drop box is only open during business hours, what's the point?? I avoid going here at all costs.
Will not allow you to get a receipt at the counter. Waited in line for 20 minutes just to be told to go use the kiosk. I told the woman I've had issues with kiosks and losing packages before, so I don't like using them. Didn't matter. Don't go if you actually expect service.
The worst customer service ever! I am highly embarrassed that most of the people who are rude look like me. I am sure if they hate their jobs, but you don't have to be rude....just stay home or find another career. People just need to see friendly faces and nicer attitudes.
Don't walk, run. I can't believe this place has an average of 2 stars because it deserves 0. They have now lost two of my packages. They gave me a number to call which is a non-working number. I hope this place shuts down and all these incompetent people lose their jobs.
schedules passport appointments a full half hour before the person shows up, meaning a scheduled 15 min appointment lasts 45 edit: just kidding, they don’t have a camera like their website says so I actually just wasted all this time for nothing! love that for me!!!!!
Do not have packages sent to zip code 77006 via USPS. There is a 90% chance it will be delivered to wrong address, be lost in transit or nobody will be able to give you creditable info as to where your package is. Nice enough people but not able to do job correctly.
My package was scheduled for delivery on 2/20/2020. The driver left the package at the wrong address, and I never received it. I waited approximately 11 hours, and still no package. I will never have anything else delivered through this Post Office. So, so angry!!!!
Mimanaged af. Tried to renew passport with “photo” appointment. Appt time was mid afternoon but clerk was “out to lunch”. Sat in “passport waiting area” and was ignored until we waited in regular line. Got sent down the street for pics cause “camera was broken”.
Came here to get passport. Website and banner outside both say that you can get photo taken, but when we arrived, clerk said "machine is broken." Lady at CVS down the street (where we were able to get our photo) said machine has been broken for 4 years...
Two large lethargic women just sat behind the desk looking at me with a bored look on their face when I asked for a money order and replied in some form of urban speak that I took to mean "no" without any explanation. Government waste at its worst.
Terrible customer service. I literally drive further to go to another post office. When I come here it's because they left me a parcel notice. Then I come and wait and wait and wait ringing the stupid doorbell, getting ignored, to pick up.
Don't understand the negative reviews. I've lived next to and patroned this USPS for 10+ years now. Staff are courteous and they've never lost my packages. Also had my passport photos done here. Glad to have their service so close to home.
I like this Montrose neighborhood library on Richmond Avenue. It's in a convenient location with ample parking an easy access In-N-Out off of Richmond. It's nice having a library close to where you live. IT services the 77006 zip code.
not really "on the ball" here at this location. Several perishable shipments have been "delivered" thru this location. Always late, or some type of problem, although the overnight rates are astronomical, they still can't get it right.
You had a carrier today who stood across the street for at least ten minutes talking before he delivered the mail. Not only that, the online tracking system reports that my package was delivered today, but needless to say it was not.
13.30 one staff working , 2 weeks before Christmas ! 8 in line , each customer about 10 minutes ... When asked if help can be called ? answer : no. Good job post office, way to keep business ! Thanks for caring about your customers
They are very careless! My spouse received his passport with the wrong DOB! After they verified the DOB, at first she said a wrong dob and he verified it with her and told her the correct DOB and she still got the wrong DOB!!
Don’t come here, my sister almost threw hands at staff because of unnecessary rudeness. If they don’t wanna be liked they should be jailers. Post office on Wallisville is much more kinder and treat you with genuine respect.
The bald gentleman with glasses was very rude & unhelpful from the moment I approached the counter. He cut me off every time I asked a question or tried to explain my situation. The customer service could be better.
The clerk is obiously knowledgable of her work,. I can't say she was rude, but she has build a wall between customers service and work with a straight face and bitterness. She should switch jobs or retire period.
Calling them on the phone only to have them hang up. Call again and get put on hold. Not unexpected given after reading the other reviews. Finally talked to someone knowledgeable and have my answer (hopefully).
They close early just because they feel like it. 3:20 pm on a Thursday and it’s not a holiday. Employees just yell “we’re closed” from a locked door if you knock. A locked door that shows they close at 5 pm...
Although my experience was professional I did witness a staff member's condescending attitude to a customer having difficulties with the self serve kiosk. Beware: Come here for function, not customer service.
Listen there are not even words to describe how grateful I am to Kintra for helping me resolve an issue I needed help with. My first time visiting this location & it was incredible thank you so very much!
Incompetent, pathetic, worthless, rude, hateful, lazy. They say one thing one time, a different thing a second time, another cockamamie story a third time. Was told they would call me back--they didn't.
Clean but as a prior reviewer said self service kiosk was useless/broken for most functions one would actually need to use the kiosk for, like printing out a package label for mailing... ♀️ …
Went here yesterday and was told I couldn’t buy stamps. They abruptly closed due to passport appointments. I had to drive to another post office. Also, the girl was so rude to everyone.
Called because a Christmas package went astray, the most caring, considerate woman took the time to help me and tell me how I might be able to intercept the package. Great Experience.
I scheduled an appointment for my passport. After waiting in a 20 minute line, I was asked to come back in 2 hours because she had left for lunch... during my appointment time...
Slowest post office I have ever been to. Once, I stood in line for 10 minutes waiting for someone to come to the door to pick up my package. I WAS THE ONLY ONE IN LINE.
The service is okay... it's excellent at times when less people are there. One worker saved me money by telling me a cheaper and more practical way to send my package.
Staff is rude. Very un professional. Act as if doing their job effectively is to much to ask of them. Slackers and lazy workers is what i observed and experienced
They are always so helpful! For some reason I always feel intimidated when shipping packages, but they always help me at this post office. So glad they are here!
Professional USPS services! You can tell they don't like you to bother them but they try pretty hard to be polite! That's professional. And they are fast!
Horrible service, staff is unhelpful and extremely rude. Don't waste your time trying to get your passport here. Library passport office was MUCH better.
THEY DO NOT HAVE A WORKING PASSPORT CAMERA. I had an appointment scheduled for 9am...waited 40 minutes only to find this out and promptly left.
Extremely rude office staff - if you need help with something or have a question about your mail, I’d recommend going to a friendlier office.
Unprofessional and rude specially the guy with the glasses and the lady work in the passport section. Don’t waste your time
Says it's open at 9:00. It's 9:12 and still no sign of it opening any time soon. Long line. Worst Post Office in Houston
Felt scammed. Mother's Day Cards were all weighing just a little bit over 1 oz when they shouldn't cost extra postage.
Rudest staff I have ever dealt with, I drop off a few times a week and every single employee is rude every time.
This location is awful!! One employee working with 9 people in line!!! It’s the holiday do better
Very unprofessional this people were rude, not friendly at all not coming back again
