Some employees here seem okay. One employee actually came up and talked with me when I went outside the office after the incident I had. But before that, because of one absolutely rude supervisor/employee, I had to write this review about her so that others know of one of the employees here that others constantly review without disclosing her name. Perhaps she is a big reason for the discourtesy being displayed at this location that others have constantly reviewed about here. Leina, this review is for you. I was trying to explain that I shipped a package to this postal office for me to pick up, but you cut me off and spoke over me without letting me speak. You did not give me clear instructions as to where my package ended up. While I asked for further clarification, I was calm and nice when trying to speak to you, but you had a nasty demeanor with the presumption that I was incompetent. Of course, anybody can look like that if they do not talk, which you never gave me the chance to do! My package is now lost; you have the answer where it is and you do not care to work it out with me. Luckily, because one of your employees came up to me to discuss the situation like respectable adults, I give another star. The other one star is left for you because you do not deserve any more than that. For the sake of the reputation of the company and quite frankly your career, you better start treating others fairly and nicely before someone higher up gives you the same treatment with a termination of employment letter.
This post office is the worst one I've ever been to. This is the SECOND time they have lost packages clearly addressed to my residence. Both my husband and I went in to this specific location, with the tracking numbers and delivery status to figure out what went wrong. They told my husband someone would contact me with information regarding what happened. I waited the standard 48 business hours, but never heard from then. After the lack of follow up, I went in. I too gave them our tracking numbers, and was simply told my packages had been "delivered" and there's nothing more they could do. I was told that talking to a supervisor would not make a difference, but I was adamant that I speak with someone in charge. They again took my number, but again, no one has reached out to address my concerns. I wouldn't be so upset if this was the first episode of incompetence, but alas. Fool me twice, shame on me, right? I will until my dying days, discourage ANYONE from utilizing this particular branch. They completely lack follow through and are totally dismissive of an issue, rather than taking complete responsibility. Awful customer service. Awful follow through. Awful EVERYTHING.
I too am having serious problems getting my mail from the Redwood branch in Salt Lake City after moving near the airport in 84116 over a month ago. My mail is non-existent and packages keep routing to Denver as, "undeliverable as addressed," who then re-route to Salt Lake City which then goes back to Denver. It first was the mail carrier not putting my last name inside my box as a result of a lack of communication and then after he did that, he doesn't have any of my mail to deliver. I've called and called with no result. It's broken...With how water, electric, phone, and cable are infrastructure services and how you have only one choice, it better be a choice that's in functional working order for there's no one to complain to since all inquiries and agencies refer you back to the 1 800-ASK-USPS for which is impossible to get a human. The online lost mail and claims seem to not work as you never get a response to a case nor a way to call customer service attention to the matter.
Very disappointed w/my postal delivery. I will say this is the first time this has happened and hopefully can chalk it up to a different carrier. I ordered a package from Amazon -- 16.5 pound bag of cat food. Every single time I have ordered these big bags of dog and/or cat food, every carrier (whether it be USPS, UPS or an Amazon delivery service) has always delivered it to my door in my apartment complex (Sky Harbor). This time, however, they put it into one of the package mailboxes. It took me almost 5 minutes to try and get it out of the mailbox because it obviously just barely fit. Then had to carry a 16.5 pound package to the other side of the complex to my apartment, while leading my dog on her leash. Once you've opened the package mailbox, you can't relock it so I couldn't come back later and get the package. Oh & the icing on the cake was that the office is open until 5:30, but I called at 4:55 and got a recording saying it was closed.
I had a general delivery sent here. When I went to pick it up they insisted that they do not do general delivery and I would have to go downtown. She wouldn’t even bother to look up the tracking number I had. When I went back out to my car I looked up the tracking number on my phone and sure enough the package was there. So I went back in and told the woman and she finally looked it up. Asked me my name again. Asked for my address. Finally she pulls it off a shelf right next to where we had been talking the whole time. But then she wouldn’t give it to me. Had to verify several things again and wanted to charge me for it even though there was no charge. She wasn’t rude as much as completely unhelpful. If I had followed what they said I would have been running all over town. I’m just glad I never have to go back here.
My mail was placed on hold for a month while I was out of state. When I went to pick it up, it took them twenty minutes to decide it must have gone out with the carrier for my route (which it was not supposed to do). Another ten minutes later, they get ahold of her, and she does not have it. It turns out she had been sending it all back to the sender, disregarding my hold. It took me several hours on the phone to get duplicates sent out and reassure companies I had not moved of all of my important financial and medical info and bills. If you live at Solara, do not put a hold on your mail, because our mail lady is an idiot who does not care.
This office has package thieves. They I have an employee who puts new labels over the original label to have it shipped to a nearby hotel for them to collect. I went down to the motel and collected my package after another employee showed me a photo of my package with my name on it but completely wrong address. I stood up at the motel and learned that they had an inside person at the post office sending packages there. This was back in 2016 but now it happened to a friend of mine to, so it's still going on. If you're looking for missing packages you can probably find them at the Econo Lodge on North Temple
I've never had a problem with this Post Office until recently and I've been shipping through USPS almost weekly for nearly two years now. The clerk wasn't helpful and ripped the shipping label off of a package I brought in. Then told me I couldn't ship something a certain way without putting them in a certain package. I've been shipping this "certain" way for years and have never used this "certain" packaging. I am very surprised at the clerk's actions and I hope nobody else has or will experience this. I will not be visiting this Post Office again and will be looking for shipping options elsewhere.
Went in to activate a new PO Box, not only was I told how wrong I submitted my application, asked to return with different ID info, not once but twice, and still not enough. Tele was the retail associate that “attempted” to help me out. On top of having multiple confirmation sources on my end, they were “unable” to find my application, Tele then raised her voice about how I didn’t submit it correctly online. First and last time I ever step foot into this location. Wish there was an option to give negative star review on this awful experience.
I lost my mail keys... My fault. Online told me to go to my nearest USPS to get replacement keys. I went in and they said they do not have spare keys for my house... They told me to contact my HOA... They don't have spare keys... I contacted them again... They said to go to my builder asking for key... They don't have spare keys either. I ended up hiring a locksmith to remove and replace my lock. A couple weeks later... I hear my neighbor (we live in the same townhome complex) had his keys replaced here. THIS USPS OFFICE LIED TO ME.
Several issues... the tracking message for a package may say "attempted delivery" when the mail has not even run for the day (i.e. the carrier has already made a decision not to deliver the package). When packages are returned to the mail facility after non-delivery, the packages have been opened and rummaged through. A birthday card was clearly opened when it was delivered to my mailbox (I imagine to discover if there was money inside). This has been my experience on SEVERAL occasions.
This is a review for Jennifer. I accidentally had a packaged shipped to Provo when it was supposed to get to Salt Lake City. Long story short, Jennifer was able to contact the Provo office outside of working hours, get the staff to locate the package that had JUST arrived and have them hold it for pickup. It was all done extremely quickly and allowed my brother to pickup the package THE SAME DAY he was coming to Canada to visit family. Thanks again Jennifer!
In addition to employees misplacing mail on a regular basis, they also change the lock on ones mailbox at apartment complexes. This “accident” gave a stranger complete access to my mail for 4 days until it was finally resolved... asian lady in the front gives absolutely no fu*ks, she admit to changing the lock on my mailbox because a “ resident” showed up with no proof claiming he just moved in. Asian lady is unprofessional and can’t admit to her mistakes.
Mail person keeps returning my mail as undeliverable because they fail to recognize my apt number which is clearly on the envelopes. Happened two months ago and again this past Tuesday on 4 orders from this same company, Smith’s Tix - I would not be that upset if not for the fact tickets are time sensitive and I came very close to missing one concert because mail person was too lazy to get it right. I took the PO exam and it isn’t that difficult
My package is lost or missing. I have tried calling this branch so many times and the robot keeps picking up (and it's the worst robot ever...can't pick up on any of my responses). SO difficult to reach an actual person. I've yet to succeed. Meanwhile my expensive Christmas package is out in the abyss somewhere... The person who dropped it off didn't even knock on the door, because otherwise my husband would have heard it. Beyond aggravating...
I hate this post office so much that i refuse to order anything online that uses USPS! the driver never delivers my packages on the weekend because he claims my company is closed which is false we have a large mailbox outside for a reason ..and to make it worse when i go into the post office to retrieve my package they say "the driver still has it" os if the driver has my package why not deliver it ?
We in Rose Park are fortunate to have a branch so close to our neighborhood, yes they are far from perfect, but aren't we all! Remember this is a semi-quasi government business, they get little to no support from the feds, and are continually being badmouthed by everyone. They're terribly understaffed and over worked. Just be glad that you don't have to go downtown, or to twenty first south.
Wow! Such good customer service! Had to leave cause the lady at the front her gave me attitude & didn’t want to be there & work. If you don’t like working at a place then just quit & find something better lol! Very unprofessional! Wish I could rate it zero stars! Avoid this Post Office! So disrespectful! Thank you for making my day worst! Lady was mad cause she doesn’t have a valentine lol!
If I could give this postal office no stars i would, they are the worst postal service i have ever been through in my life. They never answer the phone they keep giving us other pples Mail when we told them over and over again and wrote who all lives here more then once. Now I don't have my package because they didn't deliver it but delivered my mail makes no since.
Just want to talk to a freaking person and of course they won't give the phone number and yesterday I stood for ten minutes while the lady and Asian guy I could hear bulls****** in the back and I yelled excuse me like ten times.... Nothing so I left phone number and my pocket box and they are too lazy to call they need to fire these guys and put new ones in
Waited about 5 minutes to get help because the employees and back were talking. Tried to make noises open the door again all kinds of things no one came out and then eventually two or three people came in line behind me and finally they came out. Also couldn't find a pen Still trying to figure out why we even need a post office anymore so inefficient
Incompetent, unorganized, rude. It is a dumpster fire at this post office and it will not change. The staff can not do their job properly and when they lose your package (because they will) don't expect much help from anyone there. It is too bad nothing will change if they get bad reviews because it is a government establishment and they don't care.
this is probably the worst United States Postal Service I've ever had I have never had a problem getting my mail anywhere else. this one off of Redwood Road they have zero customer service and they do not respect anybody that comes into a place. I had a $500 check in the mail waiting for me and they stole it and never returned me my money
I am so sick and tired for this post office In Rose Park! You always leave the mailboxes open on my street. Now you won’t deliver a package to my house that is a bed frame. With your excuse being my mail box is full. Went out to check it is not. I have called your branch with no answer I have let the phone ring for 20 min.
I was sending a package back to sender and realize I forgot to put the return merchandise authorization code. I contacted them and spoke to Marcell who showed really awesome customer service. She never hesitated and kindly took my RMA number and made sure it was on the package. She was great! Always friendly and helpful.
I tried to turn in my ballot this morning. They had a sign on their post box saying they are not collecting voting ballots today and to go in person on voting day because they already made a trip to the county clerk. Not okay! Every other post office is still accepting ballots. Very frustrating that they would do that.
If I could give 0 stars or negative stars I would. Employees are rude, unprofessional and do not care about your mail. They don’t care if they lose your things and they don’t care if their mistakes cause you any problems. If you can choose to get mail/packages from anyone else DO IT. Don’t waste your time.
My mail has not been delivered many times including my ballot to vote. Today I have my package ripped open and half my items are stolen.(other mail ripped open as well) I have reported these problems and months with no resolution. Now my mail has not been delivered in over a week.
Did not assist at all. Very short and unfriendly with all conversation. Had no solutions when I had a pre printed return label. Stated I couldn't use the priority bags as that wasn't the type of label the box wasn't sufficient either. Tried up selling me on different items.
I got to say i try to stay away from this office as much as possible. The short old lady there seems to have a problem with people i have gone a couple of times and evertime i go to her she is super rude. She should not be around anyone, she should stay in the back.
I only get thirty percent of my mail that i'm supposed to receive through them. They have employees that still you're mail. They will take your packages and say it was delivered. I can't even estimate the matter of money they have stolen trust me
They continue to deliver my mail to a house down the street. Today I found out they've had my social security card across the street for a week. Seriously? Not only the most security sensitive thing there is. I'm fed up.
They kept switching our mail with riverside addy and our neighbor too. Been waiting for my mail which I suppose to receive two weeks ago still I haven't got them yet. This is getting worst can somebody pls do something
The government worker broke my step. How am I supposed to file a complaint!? They keep pulling the step out. They put my mail on hold 3 times! Is this what my tax money is going towards!?
Britney was amazing. Very friendly and nice. I think it's the grumpy people that leave bad reviews. Worked grocery retail for 50 years so I know how it works. Thanks Britney.
A staff member tried to get me to sleep with his old lady while he watched. -10 stars for cuckoldry. Maybe be a man around your wife and she'll want to sleep with you, nerd.
They are not even helpful. The mail man don't even knows the addresses. He always leaves other people mail in my mail box. Come on people you took a test. Know your stuff.
Never follow delivery instructions on packages. When you schedule delivery they still dont follow directions. You have to call and get angry before they do their job!
Northwest Station Salt Lake City, Utah Full service hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm Saturday 10:00am to 2:00pm Sundays and holidays CLOSED
Dropping off a package and getting stamps is the most I have every done here. I guess I go when everyone else goes because there is always a line.
Great service, friendly staff, I run an online business and ship my orders out daily, for years now. Big thank you to everyone working there.
I don't know why this USPS has bad reviews? Just go early in the morning rather than last minute so they aren't grumpy with you lol.
They keep sending my mail back saying my address is vacant. Seeing how I'm living there, it's obviously not vacant.
Just not gonna deliver any mail to my apartments for 2 weeks? Get a grip you get paid to put paper in mail boxes
Not the best location. Staff clearly doesn't like their job. Always a long line. Painful to do business here.
Manager took my package and said that they left it in the back door instead of the front door
The mail man only comes down our street and brings mail when he has time or feels like it. !
much much better than the downtown facility they don't have jerks working the window
Very convenient, never very busy everyone has been friendly and fast.
Our post person is too lazy to bring our packages to the door.....
You cannot get a hold of anybody! Line is always busy. REALLY BAD!
Looks like the mailman cannot find my address 2 time this month
Always been trated well and have had zero issues sending mail.
The mail man has damaged property on three separate occasions
That was my first rude customer service Add up on hangout now
