I have lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years. I have NEVER had good service at this post office. It is amazing they have not closed this branch. The front desk workers "Jerome" in particular, are the nastiest, most non-helful employees I have encountered in the business world in years. Is it any wonder with employees like that, the post office is going under. They refused to supply boxes and or enveleopes with the one price rates. They refuse to go in the back to get any supplies that are not already loaded. They answer questions with a one word BARK. They feel they own the palce. I left and went to Aero Postal and paid an extra $1.15 for the correct package, correct size, correct designations, and was treated with a warm smile and courtesy. My business was appreciated.

The worst post office experience ever. Needed to mail some stuff to family, but I didn't have a box ready. Initially, I had to wait in line for like 30 min and was told by the staff that I need to pick a box myself and pack everything before seeing them at the window. I didn't know what size of the box to use. So I had to rummage through the different boxes that were left there on the ground. When I finally was ready to mail my box. the staff said that I would need to pay for the extra boxes that I "touched" because they can't sell them to other people. Excuse me?! Those boxes were already on the ground before I came in. If you don't want me to touch the boxes, why don't you say something while watching me going through them? Way to scam people for money!

Second time I have missed a package due to laziness. First time they couldn't take it up to the third floor of the apartment and this time they couldn't be bothered to walk or drive around the street construction going on in a part of my apartment complex. Both times I did not receive a sorry we missed you notice but was instead notified by Amazon that the package will be delayed. I would almost rather they just held the package and made me pick it up myself. If your not going to be bothered to do your job why even exist? Give the job to UPS or FedEx, they both managed to deliver to my house today.

By far the best service you can get at a USPS location, and trust me when I say that I’ve had my fair share of bad service from USPS—be it in NY, MA, NC, and in another part of CA. My package was mistakenly being redelivered, and the manager made plans to drive to the carrier himself to retrieve the package and bring it to me at the post office. Aside from the long lines, everything else and especially the service is phenomenal.

This is a small office so there are usually only 1 or 2 people helping customers. That means there's typically a line, but if you know that then you can plan for it. The people have always been helpful and friendly when I have visited. If you don't have tape to seal your package, you can buy some there. Also, street parking is usually full but there are 4 or 5 spots in their tiny parking lot. I'm happy to have this place nearby!

On 10/31/23, at around 830am to 840am, the clerk (light complexion, large set with tattoos on their arms) was rude and unprofessional and made me drop off a package in the middle of the desk and did not ask me for ID or anything. I do not know if my package was safely scanned and put in for delivery. Can you please have a manager ensure my package is safe and secure. I will get authorities involved if this does not happen.

I have visited tens to hundreds of USPS locations across the country, and the service of this very location is above my expectations for federal agencies. It’s well maintained and the lady, Ally, at the counter greeted you as you come inside and humbly provide advices with patience. Will recommend people doing their postal here.

Always a great experience for me, employees are very informative and helpful. It’s sad to see some of the ignorance they have to deal with from time to time. Young girl with short hair and tattoos is always so sweet and always answers my questions everyone else is great too! Keep up the good work everyone .

They are always really attentive when I go there, they have good staff and very humble , speaking personally I havent had a bad experience. People need to know that is an stressful job and more when a lot of people want to be attended, a little empathy will go a long way. Keep up the good work.

Worst customer service. The people are very rude. I sent out a priority mail box out and when it was received what I sent was not in the box but was replaced with a fricken remote!!!! I went to the post office to talk about the issue and they were no help and refused that one of theirs did it

The best USPS i have been. I feel bad to bring like 20 packages in the last 20mins that they close. but this is the only time that i can come because of work. A staff called Bill shows me his patient and awesome customer service. I wont forget this experience. BEST EVER IN SAN DIEGO!

drop of first class mail on Thursday and the package was processed after 6 days since dropped off. US postal need to stope hiring lazy people and stop making inconvenient to customers. Also they need to pick up the mails from the mailbox everyday not every other day or longer.

Great staff and manager. You can sense the friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The manager is hands on and is not afraid of helping out and communicating with people coming in. Due to that you get great service and it is very efficient. Highly recommend this place.

Went to drop off a letter this morning after they removed our local mail drop box......turns out they closed the post office too. Explains why the phone number is always busy.......It's totally OK though, because, you know, Serra Mesa doesn't need mail.

The Serra Mesa branch staff is always super friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable. Very small parking lot, entrance is one way only, but there is street parking and a strip mall parking lot right across the street.
