I would give the minus if I could went in to get a change of address because I didn't have 1.10 cents to do it online to prove who I am. Asked the guy at the counter could I please get a change of address form I just moved into an apartment and he litterally said your not allowed to do a change of address to a homeless shelter. And thought i was part of the homeless crew i had just seen him yelling at to leave and get off of his block. It Litterally put me into tears. Ok yes I'm in transition of getting my teeth fixed because of old habits. I have worked really hard to get myself back to me and get my own apartment. But it makes you have a big set back when someone talks to you like your lower than them. And all you wanted to do was be a normal person and do a normal thing like changing your address when u move. And not get treated like your scum. And even if I was homeless it should make no difference this guy should know that customer service is his job. And he is lacking in every single aspect of that. I sure hope they get someone with some training in there Noone should leave the post office in tears.
A package was lost, and I went to this location for answers because the tracking website doesn't have any customer service contacts. Turns out that location didn't have the package, but all they kept saying was to go to my ZIP codes post office and not saying why, and not even trying to find out what happened. As far as investigating, the manager read me word for word off the USPS tracking sheet, which was pointless because I had showed her the site to give her the tracking number on my phone. They were quite unhelpful and although the counter worker and manager used polite words, their tone definitely was not.
I had terrible customer service. It was two o'clock on a Monday, and I was only seventh in line of a line going all he way out the door. There was only one man working behind the counter who had absolutely no sense of urgency. He truly spent over 15 minutes with one woman seemingly oblivious to his by this point enormous line. There were others behind the counter seemingly just tidying up their stations. Why they couldn't have assisted a few customers is beyond me. All in all, I was there for over a half hour. I can't even imagine how long the poor soles behind me were there.
Was helped by a grumpy disheveled old man named Herb who had numerous disgusting stains all over the gut of his shirt. He was unnecessarily rude to a customer asking him simple questions and instead of walking my packages the 10 feet to the bin he proceeded to throw each one including the one with 5 FRAGILE Handle with care stickers on it. The guy was an absolute disgrace. I’m never coming back to this location again. It was like something out of an SNL parody.
This location is slow as molasses. A few times, I've come here to drop off a package or pay for something to be shipped and hop back on the max or the bus. But I've only ever seen one worker at the counter, so if someone has a package or takes a while, you're waiting forever even if there's only one person in front of you. Go to Office Max instead; they ship USPS and are almost always nearly dead.
We as citizens, forget minutes after ups drops a package off how hard, fast, and accurate they are almost everytime. I can't think of one time I did not get my package ever in 51 yrs. I've had fed x screw up, Amazon, best buy, and many others that most of the time are time sensitive, plus the many times I have had something wrong to where I have to send back with any other shipping situation.
This is the WORST post office in Portland; they only ever have 1 person working... so the wait is at least 20-25 mins, the staff is always rude and snarky. If they really hate their jobs that much they should get a different one. I would think customer service would be part of the qualifications for working there but clearly not here.
I'm so impressed with Wong. He is working by himself and is doing a super great job assisting each person and did everything he could to give me the best international shipping price. I've been coming to this post office for over 10 years and he deserves a raise!
Very unfriendly and the employee started yelling at me as I was leaving. I was just doing what the other employee told me to ask for. Very frustrating when I waited in line for a very long time
Very friendly! The agent joked with me and was very quick to process my package. And it went across the country in three days for $3! That's nuts. I'm very impressed by the Post Office.
The employees have always been very helpful, kind and respectful towards me. There is seldom a long line. They get us through with great efficiency. So glad they are back open again.
Standing outside at 8:43am on a Monday and the place is locked up with no signs of life inside. This may be the most unreliable USPS location I've been to across the entire country.
Terrible.Hiked several tretcherous blocks in snow. Building unmarked. Then note said "Closed. on lunch break" at 3pm. Creepy part of town. Not recommended for single females
The clerk was so helpful today. He encouraged me to get a somewhat smaller box and by doing that I was able to save $30 in postage. What great service! Thank you.
No line, easy to get to (for me). I can just walk right over and I don't have to wait in a long line. Great customer service. I was in and out in a flash!
Routinely not open at their posted time of 8:30am, causing delays in mail retrieval to businesses... For a "post office" this is totally unacceptable.
MAY 25th 2021 - THIS LOCATION IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED! PHONE HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED - Google recommendation to mark as "closed" has been submitted.
This post office NEVER opens on time. Why and how is this possible?? Here I am again waiting for it to open!!! (Insert harsh language).
This drop off location is temporarily closed until August due to construction. No signage, walked in and crew there told me the news.
Re-opened in February 2022, still only one guy but he was happy to help me. Supplies were re-stocked which I was happy to see.
This station doesn't offer change of address. Worker suggested finding a station that does. He had no suggestions.
They managed to lose a very important legal document sent via certified mail. Zero stars.
Clean place hardly ever a long line to deal with great customer service.
Closed for lunch for at least until 3? Do they only have one employee?
Closed for lunch for at least until 3. So much for posted hours
You can drop off your mails at 8am, but Lobby opens at 8:30am.
