UH's diversity is beautiful. You'll probably hear at least 3 different languages being spoken at once. Their security team does an excellent job at assuring the students' safety at ALL TIMES. They're not concerned about catching the students doing something they shouldn't be as long as they don't see it, they don't bother you. They're more concerned with non-students who roam campus for no particular good reason. They also take sexual assault situations very seriously. I remember walking into Cougar Village, and being cat called by a student, the security officer immediately approached me to offer help, and even assured me he could aid me in pressing charges. They want to make sure the students are content, and feel comfortable on campus. The people are kind and will spark a conversation with you randomly, super friendly, happy staff. UH Football games are fun to say the least. Thank you UH for an amazing college experience.

The University of Houston (UH) is a state research university and the flagship institution of the University of Houston System. Founded in 1927, UH is the third-largestuniversity in Texas with nearly 44,000 students. Its campus spans 667 acres in southeast Houston, and was known as University of Houston–University Park from 1983 to 1991. The Carnegie Foundation classifies UH as a doctoral degree-granting institution with "highest research activity." The U.S. News & World Reportranks the university No. 171 in its National University Rankings, and No. 91 among top public universities.

This is not review-related but just wanna ask a question regarding the Intensive English program at this school. My first question : How do I apply to the intensive English program?? 2 question: Are there any requirements in order to apply to the program? Third question: How long does it take to complete all the levels from 1-6? Last question: Do I need admission to the school? Please can someone help me answer these questions? Thank you so much.

University of Houston, has been updating the streets, buildings and is looking very nice. Hopefully the students and staff can enjoy while walking around. If you plan to visit, make sure to have a cougar card or any other access form to come inside the buildings. Childcare available for students and staff.

I cannot explain my disappointment in this University. As a student at the Bauer college of business and Senior graduating this semester the university has been very unhelpful whenever students have problems. First of all, there are safety

The education here is top notch but if you need help, you’re not gonna get a lot of good help! But if a professor makes a promise to you about your thesis, they don’t have to keep it, and good luck enforcing that! The food has improved a

I’ve had nothing but positive experiences any time I’ve been to U of H, hate to see all the bad reviews but then again I didn’t attend this school. Brought my 9th graders on a field trip here in October and they had a great time.

All I can say is wow. The school and area has definatley grown since ed the early 90's. Lots of buildings rail running through nice new stadium which was not there when I attended. I am very impressed with all of the upgrades.

UPDATE: this area has been cleaned up! Way to go! I love the school itself, I love the security on the school grounds, directing traffic and all. BUT.....if we want to be known for our beautiful and safe

Nice place to come watch a basketball game or football game. Located in the heart of the Third ward of Houston. You can easily ride the Purple line Metro to get there and Frenchys is close by. Go Cougs!!

Loved this university, the campus, and the people here. Only thing is I wish the surrounding area was a bit safer. Proud to be an alumni.

The college tour was great. We learned a lot about the college. And our tour guide, Sasha was excellent and very friendly.
