"Really interesting exhibits"
Keep your expectations tempered as this is Albuquerque, and not a major art market, and you'll have a great time. Not huge, but not small, as there are galleries on three floors. The exhibitions are frequently lesser-known artists, but there's always something I like. I always leave having learned something. Because of UNM's ties with the fine art photography world, you can expect to see at least one photography exhibit at any time.
A three story gallery in a larger arts complex on unm campus with traveling exhibits. I saw a collection of Frida Kahlo’s personal photographs. The other was photographs from the artic as used to promote conservation. Both shows were great. I went on a Friday morning and felt like I had the galleries to myself. A must for the bargain of a $5 suggested donation.
My husband and I went to see the exhibit "To Survive on this Shore" today. It was such a wonderful, uplifting, and inspiring set of photographs and stories of trans and gender diverse folks from across the U.S. Thank you, UNM, for welcoming this important exhibit to ABQ! Hope to see more LGBTQIA+ exhibits in the future!
The current exhibition, To Survive on This Shore: Photographs and Interviews with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Older Adults by Jess T. Dugan and Vanessa Fabbre, is incredible. I am elated to see such an important show at the UNM Art Museum! I highly recommend going to see it!
Really interesting exhibits. Each floor has a different flavor, but all had a New Mexico tie-in. We just want to keep coming back to see what they are up to.

This place was terrible. It was completely empty except for the 2 people who worked there. The art selection was just depressing. One of the statues looked like a lady having an orgasm on a unicorn. I didn't need to see that.
A very small exhibit of about 20 paintings. I wish there were more.

I parked in the parking lot of the building on the disabled spot but l couldn't find any ramp to cross to the Popejoy theater with the wheelchair !!! Please, where is the ramp???
I had a great visit! The exhibitions were very well designed and thoughtful. The museum has several different gallery spaces which allow for multiple independent shows at once.
First time being there. I was awesome!

Google thinks I visited the museum when in actuality it was for an artist talk in room 2018. Seems like the universe could update the old interior. Hi.
This isn't technically the art museum itself. These are photos from the outside on campus.

A small exhibit but worthwhile to look at some beautiful pieces . I recommend taking a look.
The UNM Art Museum is really nice. It's not very large but always has interesting exhibits.
The most underrated art museum in New Mexico! I'd give the museum 6 stars if I could.
Excellent collection of art and interesting contemporary artists.
I do homework near the museum. The employees are nice!
Tiny but interesting. University parking (a pain)
