"Its a nice place to stop off the bottom of the waterfall is not easily accessible and requires climbing and there isnt a lot of parking, it seems like a really beautiful spot to relax but unfortunately on the day I went some people were taking photos the entire time with loud music going so it was a lot harder to enjoy the area as they were even requesting people move from the area which was main attraction"
"We visited for the first time a couple days ago and I love this place! It’s hidden from the road which is about fifty metres above the waterfall, so although you can hear some sounds, it’s a beautiful haven of bush with a lovely pool to swim in! The water was quite clear when we went, and a little cold"
"To get down to the bottom is a bit of a challenge with some climbing involved but if you're up for that it's definitely worthwhile"
"It's a small, but quite picturesque waterfall in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park just off McCarrs Creek Road"
"This an excellent place to visit if you have a suicide wish, almost killed myself coming down the cliff edge which is the only access into the swimming hole, place is littered with rubbish and graffiti all over the rocks, the water is deathly cold and uncomfortable to swim in with sharp jaggered rocks everywhere"
Its a nice place to stop off the bottom of the waterfall is not easily accessible and requires climbing and there isnt a lot of parking, it seems like a really beautiful spot to relax but unfortunately on the day I went some people were taking photos the entire time with loud music going so it was a lot harder to enjoy the area as they were even requesting people move from the area which was main attraction. I think the rubbish and the graffiti is a real shame as people have done it on the natural rocks around the falls. It just unfortunately seems to be a place where there is a lot of inconsiderate behaviour occuring, maybe because its so close to Sydney its convenience makes it an easy target for the wrong people to take advantage of it. I will definitely be back on another day so I can experience it better, its a nice place so close to Sydney as long as youre willing to do the climb and can get parking but worth stopping in as there are other great places around the area if you can't get parking or just want to stop for photos.
We visited for the first time a couple days ago and I love this place! It’s hidden from the road which is about fifty metres above the waterfall, so although you can hear some sounds, it’s a beautiful haven of bush with a lovely pool to swim in! The water was quite clear when we went, and a little cold. The waterfall was lovely, and there are lots of lizards hanging around as well. It’s a little bit of a climb to get down, but quite short, relatively easy, and manageable in thongs. There’s only room for about three cars up the top, as you pull over just after you have crossed a bridge, coming from the main road, and there’s just a little track that leads down to the pool. There’s a small patch of sand where you can get into the water on one side, and it’s possible to stand in a lot of places in the water. All in all it is a lovely spot and will definitely be coming back!
To get down to the bottom is a bit of a challenge with some climbing involved but if you're up for that it's definitely worthwhile. You'll likely encounter a couple of the water dragons so bear that in mind if lizards aren't your thing (you don't want to get a fright whilst climbing up or down). I can imagine it can get quite slippery when wet so maybe not the best time to go then. Don't rush down or back up and take your time so you don't end up falling down as it would be a rough trip down as well as a rough landing.
It's a small, but quite picturesque waterfall in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park just off McCarrs Creek Road. The stream is usually slow so you need to wait till rain. The way down is not marked and slippery due to wet mossy rocks and could be even more slippery at rain. Parking could be problematic - it's not well marked and there are very limited spots there. There are also no signs for waterfall so it's easy to miss. The waterfall has a 10m wide pool so swimming there is possible.
This an excellent place to visit if you have a suicide wish, almost killed myself coming down the cliff edge which is the only access into the swimming hole, place is littered with rubbish and graffiti all over the rocks, the water is deathly cold and uncomfortable to swim in with sharp jaggered rocks everywhere. And after having to face all of that you have to make your way back up the cliff edge again! Definitely not worth it
Very beautiful waterfalls with a nice area for swimming and a picnic. The upper Falls is easily accessible, however to get down to the swimming area requires a careful descent down through the rocks. There is limited parking, however is is before the entrance to the park meaning it is free. This does mean it can get quite busy also. Worth a look on a warm day, bring swimmers!
This is a good hidden waterfall found close to Sydney. Only issues are the rubbish being left by other visitors so always helps to take your rubbish with you. I went during the week and it was not too busy but at the weekends and holidays it could get very busy especially with the waterfall and pool being so cool amd refreshing.
An easily accessable grand falls, well, as long as the few parking spots are empty that is. More parking down before the NP tax booth. Several smaller falls along the Duckholes Trail. The way down for a swim at Gledills Falls is an adventure in itself and worth the wander for a swim when you backtrack to the falls pool.
Only 3 car spaces at the top, better to drive down and around to the left and walk up from the bottom if you really want to see the top of the falls. There's a good sized pool at the bottom to swim in and the water tends to be pretty refreshing!
Was pretty dirty, someone had left dirty tissues everywhere and it smelt . Hard to get to ( lot of jumping and climbing involved at getting up and down to the waterfall) id save your energy. wouldnt go back. it doesnt look like the photos
This is a very small waterfall located close to the parkway. Parking is quite difficult with limited spaces. No signs which make it easy to miss the spot. Do take care when walking into the bush. The photo turned out quite nice.
A very nice spot. The only problem we had is many people who were there left their rubbish behind in the sand. A heap of plastic bottles and food wrappers. Please take your rubbish home with you!!!
Access is difficult unless you're fit. After rain we had to climb down steep large rocks but it was worth it. Rain made the waterfall substantial, water was cold but not too bad.
Na it suxs it's dirty there's broken glass all over the sand. You used to be able to jump from the cliff but it's to shallow now. Time has not been good to the entier area.
This fall is now unaccessible. Its trail is blocked so I could not get to the bottom of the falls. Not worth going there. The water is dirty and left with trash.
Very small waterfall, a little disappointing. But it’s a nice small little area to swim and to have a little picnic. Looks pretty safe to be swimming in there!
The way to the pool and back is not for the faint of heart. There isn't much space once you get there either. Otherwise nice little secluded pool.
Lovely secluded pool under the waterfall. Somewhat difficult to get down and back up. Limited parking can leave you walking alongside the road.
Beautiful little spot. It did get busy around lunch time, but early on we had the place to ourselves. Short walk with a scramble to the water.
A nice stop on a way to the NP. Moderately picturesque waterfalls, but no good place to take pics without risking a fall. Better be careful
Great spot for a nice swim. Water is not cold at all. Watch your steps when walking on the rocks near the Falls as they are very slippery!
Beautiful swimming hole with a waterfall. Expect a nice and cold swim. You can swim all the way to the waterfall and even sit under it.
It is a very tiny rocky river. Falls is too much for it. Given that the road and how you park is too risky, doesn’t really worth it.
Secluded watering hole near Church Point. Rocky to get there, but worth it for the spot so close to the beach and marina.
Overrated. Top of falls: easy to see and pretty. Bottom: very hard to get to and perhaps not worth it for most people.
Bit of a climb down to the water but definitely a rewarding one. Make sure to bring shoes you don't mind messing up.
Not enough water, so no actual waterfall. The hole water was stagnant. Still, you can jump in from top of the hill.
Very nice and secluded. A bit difficulty getting there l, some climbing required, but the kids loved it. More
No parking, very wild. Not suitable for kids or pregnant ladies. Falls are scenic and good for photography.
Best time to visit in spring and summer, though parking is an issue as it's just by the road. A must visit.
Beautiful location, don't go there on your own if you're short though. The climb back up is not possible!
Nice stop for a bush walk to the waterfall and some pretty plants. The track is a little messy though.
A Great place. Non official path so be safe also parking can be tricky blind corners be vigilant.
Fairly easy to access, not far off the main path. You can swim here, but it's freezing in autumn.
Beautiful spot just off the side of McCarrs Creek Road....only problem...very limited parking
Bit risky but seen people enjoyed a lot. Very small waterfall not sure about source of water.
Great natural setting that's easy to get to. Gets busy as the day goes on so get there early.
Very scenic spot! Great in summer when looking for a fresh water dip and a chill arvo.
Tricky ti get down with a kid and thats what makes it fun. Cool waters in hit summer
Nice little waterfall, need to get down through boulders, not recommended with kids.
It was a nice walk but didn't work out how to get to the bottom on the falls …
Not a lot to see. Only one parking space. But a nice spot to stop for a quick look.
Nice but nothing amazing. Can't get good view of falls unless you go down the rocks
Should be better after rain. The waterfall had dried up the day I was there.
If you're in the area have a look. Do not go out of your way to go there.
A beautiful hidden spot next to road side for a quick dip in waterfall
Its hard to get in with huge rocks specially for family with kids.
Beautiful waterfalls that are close to the road and easy to get to
Falls are nice. Easy to miss the parking as there is none really.
No easy access to bottom of falls unless you want to risk death
Beautiful swimming hole near a road with easyish access.
A beautiful spot, being ruined by selfish graffiti.
Too many people and the water is not clean at all.
Really nice waterfall, wasn't too hard to get to
Road was fun to drive, except for the rabbit…
Nice little spot for photos of the family
Falls after 4 days of rainfall in Sydney
Great little water hole for swimming
Fantastic swimming hole for a picnic
