Dr. Moore is awesome. I’ve been a patient at his practice since 1996, and I’ve never had a bad experience. About three years ago I had an accident and broke a few of my front teeth (both top and bottom) while on a trip in Tucson, Az. I called Dr. Moore’s office, and his staff helped me figure out where to go to be seen for emergency treatment. Since then I’ve had lots of follow up dental work to replace the temporary bonding that was done in Arizona. Once one of the temporarily bonded teeth popped out on a Friday afternoon and it was too late to be seen at Dr. Moore’s office. I ended up visiting the emergency dentist on Park Road which also did a great job, and Dr. Moore called me the next morning on Saturday while he was on vacation to make sure I was doing okay. Dr. Moore’s staff is also excellent. They have helped me by ordering pre-estimates from my insurance company to help me determine my out-of-pocket expenses, and they call both me and my husband to remind us of when our next visits need to be scheduled. They also helped my mother-in-law with some emergency dental work when she was visiting from out of town. If you work in the downtown area, I highly recommend Dr. Moore.

My name is Glenn. Dr. Barrett Moore and all of his staff are a 10 on a scale of 10! He has been my dentist for over 15 years. I moved from Charlotte to Durham NC and happily drive back the 3 hour trip to Charlotte to continue to have him as my Incredible Dentist. He has the magic touch and is a top expert. He keeps your teeth super-healthy and can fix/repair anything you need. He, and his staff, are super friendly (they all stay with him until they retire because they love the professional fun environment) and they are very highly trained and skilled. Lastly, Dr. Moore honestly cares about all of your needs, charges a very fair price and takes great pride in his work, treating you as special as he would a member of his own family. After you see him the very first time, you will make him your Dentist for life. I’ve been going to this Dentist office since 1990. The staff and the Dentists are truly amazing. I started out with Dr. Schaus, who was fantastic, and now am using Dr. Moore. Both Dentists have shown me nothing short of family compassion and true familia care. I’ve been lucky in my 55 years on this planet that I’ve only had two major dental emergencies. Both were crowns. Dr. Moore performed both procedures and did outstanding work on my teeth. I highly recommend their office and the staff. They take most insurance and will work with you if you are uninsured. I have been a patient at Barrett Moore, DDS for years and even more years with his predecessor, Dr. John Kiser, who I had always thought was the best conservative dentist ever. I have never experienced a feeling of change since Dr. Moore started treating me. He is very precise and most attentive to the patience’s needs, and is pleasantly confident. The proof in the pudding for me is that I retired 25 years ago and still go uptown to see my dentist. All of his employees are so congenial and work so well together that the environment is extremely pleasant and I actually look forward to seeing him and all of his attendants each time I go! Admittedly I was one of those people who didn’t go the dentist as directed.....so when I went into Uptown Smiles I was terrified of what to expect. Fortunately, every person, from the Receptionist, the Dental Hygienists, the Dental Assistant, and Dr. Moore himself were an absolute pleasure to work with. Dr. Macken and her assistant Jessica did an amazing job on my 2 crowns. The procedure was 100% painless, and I would even go as far as to say it was a pleasant (as much as possible) experience due to how friendly and social they both were. Dr. Macken was extremely thorough and made sure I knew exactly what was happening and what to expect, while Jessica was right there every time with exactly what she needed without being asked. The front office staff is always friendly and helpful, and they do a great job working with you and the insurance company to make sure you understand the breakdown of your charges. Wow, while traveling for work I had a problem with one of my crowns. It came loose and being in Charlotte I went on the internet and found Uptown Charlotte Smile. I called the office first thing Monday morning. Went for a 10:30 am appointment and Dr Moore really knowledgeable in repair crowns fixed the crown within a hour I was on my way. New hygienist Ms Connor was great. She has actually been there since early 2022, I ghink. I am always treated as a person rather than a number. She is the best and really cleans my teeth. Connor let's me know about the true condition of my teeth at each appointment as to whether I am doing what I should at home during brushing. Her skill are soft, not rough, yet effective. Afterwards, my dentist, Dr Moore does the final check . I am provided a small tote, that contains floss, tooth paste, tooth brush for work or short trips. I recommend Connor.

I’ve been living in Charlotte for 2 years now and immediately started seeing Dr. Moore after moving. I couldn’t be happier with choosing Uptown Smiles! They are always on time and are very professional with reasonable prices, along with accepting insurance. Even though their office is in Uptown, they are located in the FCB building and utilize the FCB parking garage right across the street. The garage has a skywalk to the building where the office is located, making easy accessibility + will validate your parking so you don’t have to pay.

My family has been going to uptown smiles for years and they’ve always been fantastic. I went in for a 6 month cleaning yesterday and they found I needed a crown. I have a major medical procedure scheduled next week and they scrambled to get my temporary crown in yesterday so I’d have one less thing to worry about. Relatively painless dentistry, even the novacaine injections. Dr. Moore and his assistants were so gentle and double checked my status during the 2 hour procedure, crowns on both sides of the lower jaw. So happy he was able to do both with one appointment!
