UNFORTUNATELY OUR WORST EXPERIENCE WHEN RENTING A FLAT SO FAR. Let me explain you why and we hope this helps you to take a good decision and avoid this careless company: - EXPECTATIONS DON'T MEET REALITY: you rent the apartment sight unseen, therefore, you would expect to receive an apartment that matches the pictures. However, in our case when we checked in into the apartment this was not the case. 1) there was a large burn hole on the wooden kitchen floor, 2) there was a missing cabinet door in the kitchen, 3) there was a bug infestation (COCKROACHES everywhere!), 4) Many missing inventory items, 5) broken shelving in the bathroom cabinet, 6) the shower nozzle was broken which made it very difficult to take a shower. We informed Belong Living of these issues immediately upon check-in, to which they replied "yes, we know"; however, they didn't have the common decency to inform us prior to check-in. For all these to be fixed took another few months and a lot of back and forth. - PRICE: We were paying around EUR 1,500 for a furnished apartment in an 'okay-ish' part of Moabit (surely not the best neighborhood, but you know how hard is to find a place in Berlin). We know this is overpriced; however, we were willing to pay a slight premium for a furnished apartment and the relative ease associated with renting by an agency (or so we thought). We rented for a period of 9 months with the knowledge we could renew. About 5 months in, we wanted to renew, because despite the difficulties with Belong Living, you all know how hard it is to find an apartment in Berlin. We were told we needed to wait until 3 months before the end of the contract to renew. Then we met one of their representatives in person and she told us that was fine, we could renew now, no problem. However, when we tried to express that and get it in writing, they told us again that we needed to wait until 3 months before the end of the contract. So finally, 3 months before, we requested the renewal, only to find out that the price had increased ~15%, and there was no room for negotiation. We weren't sure what to do, we knew the price was much more than the flat was worth, and we sure as heck didn't want to continue with Belong Living, but we weren't sure if we could find another apartment in time. Well, Belong Living made the choice for us: it was the 23rd of December (THE DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS!), and they sent us an email that someone else had requested to rent the apartment and we had 2 hours to say if we wanted to renew the lease or not (keep in mind our lease still continued until end of Feb, but again they didn't have the decency to wait to another day, they did it exactly on holidays). - DEPOSIT: Thankfully, we emerged out of this horrible situation and abusive relationship with Belong Living to find our new apartment with the nicest landlords in Prenzlauer Berg. So then, we only needed our deposit back. We had rented the apartment until the 29th of February and they wanted us to check out at 9am on the 29th. Fortunately, our new lease started earlier than March 1st, otherwise it would have been another problem caused by the SHADY and NOT TRANSPARENT processes and policies of Belong Living (BE CAREFUL WITH THE CHECK OUT POLICY!). We left the apartment in perfect condition, we did the check out 2 days earlier and informed them, and yet it still took until March 19th to receive our deposit back, after a lot of emails and miscommunication from their side. They even had the nerve to take from us EUR 24, which we know is a small amount, but believe us these guys don't deserve a single penny. So to CONCLUDE, PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID BELONG LIVING :) Happy stay in Berlin (without Belong Living)!

Belong Living is an absolute nightmare to deal with. Their level of unprofessionalism is beyond comprehension. My experience with them has been nothing short of a disaster from the very beginning. I'd advise anyone living in their properties to inspect their floors as the apartment I rented was infested with BLACK MOLD. To start, on the day I was supposed to move into the apartment I had already paid for, I couldn't reach anyone from their team. Nobody bothered to answer my calls or respond to my messages. It was incredibly frustrating and inconvenient. But that was just the beginning of my troubles. A whole day later, when I finally managed to get in touch with them, they had the audacity to inform me that they had lost the keys to the apartment I had rented. How irresponsible can a company be? Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, they insisted that I stay in a different apartment and bear any additional costs associated with moving. It was their fault, yet I was the one paying the price. As if that wasn't bad enough, just a week after moving in, the bathroom in the apartment started leaking. When I reported the issue to the manager, they casually mentioned that they were already aware of this problem before renting the apartment to me. Can you believe it? They knowingly rented me a faulty apartment and expected me to live without using the bathroom. The lack of consideration and concern for their tenants is truly shocking. To make matters worse, they disappeared for three whole days after I reported the issue, leaving me without a functioning bathroom. Then, out of nowhere, they informed me that I needed to move out of the apartment tomorrow. No compensation was offered, and they didn't provide any details or a timeframe for finding a new place. It was as if they expected me to be okay with their gross negligence and sudden eviction. Not only did they fail to deliver on the apartment I was paying for, but they also showed a complete lack of accountability, communication, and empathy throughout the entire ordeal. Belong Living's actions and behavior are absolutely unacceptable, and I strongly advise against renting from them. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and disappointment by avoiding this unprofessional company at all costs.

I would not recommend this company. They charge a deposit that equals that of one month’s rent and threaten to deduct the cost of any “dirt” from that deposit. While I would never leave any rental dirty, the amount of the deposit demonstrates a high degree of mistrust. They also mandate an inventory check of all items. You are asked to verify over 100 items upon check in with the threat of any of these are missing on checkout it will be deducted from your deposit. I understand WHY they ask for these but no other company I have come across requests this. I have no faith in how they will determine my deposit back. Added that the process to get the deposit back is very manual. You are to write a letter requesting it back. Very unusual. I’m incredibly uncomfortable taking over my rental unit at this point and wish I didn’t book with them.

I never write reviews but I felt compelled to write something regarding Berlin Homes. Me and my partner moved to Berlin for a short work contract (3 months) and therefore needed a fully furnished apartment that would be available as soon as possible. We found Berlin Homes through the Spotahome website. The quality of the service is impeccable: the keys were stored in a small safe with a numeric passcode right outside the gate, the apartment was super clean and warm. They even left a wine bottle on the table for us. Everything in the apartment was brand new. We never had a single issue with the apartment and we would definitely use this service again in the future.

The properties are just fine. Had a little problem when I first moved in, but it was solved very quickly. Their rent prices are usually above the average here in Berlin, but if you are moving in from abroad and have no one trusworthy here to check the apartments for you, it's better than being scammed. I stayed in their flat for 6 months and all of the problems I had were quickly solved by Madalina, a very professional agent. The staff is very friendly, speaks English and helps with all the paperwork. A solid company, would recommend specially for first-timers.

Rented 2 different flats in the same building from Urban Belong Living, everything was absolutely smooth. Apartments were exactly as depicted, in good condition with everything up and running (heating, internet…). The furnishing was of good quality (the bed and sofa were especially nice). They furnish all the basic items you need. If there is anything missing, they are very reactive and deliver it in a couple of working days. Customer service is fats and reliable, in perfect english. All in all, a very positive experience.

It's been a week since I've been in the office and I haven't received the letters I have requested. Can you please send them to me? It's been a month since I've been trying to communicate with Urban Hausverwaltung UH GmbH & Co. KG and Urban Belong Living GmbH & Co. KG and it seems to have no cooperation from your side to sort this out. I am not definitely not satisfied with the services provided by Urban Belong Living GmbH & Co. KG ignoring messages, not returning phone calls, not responding to my emails.

Whilst in Berlin I rented twice from these guys. Both times were perfect! Handy booking process, quick and easy move in procedure, apartments were spotless and have everything you could need. Any time I needed something from the office like registration forms etc. they always came back to me in a matter of hours which was most appreciated - thank you to Daria my property manager for this! Last but not least, no drama with handing your deposit back when you leave.

Hey everyone, I would highly recommend you guys to try the services provided by inberlin homes. They have a fantastic team who would support you throughout in each and every way possible. They stay true with their promises. I have had a wonderful experience with the team and I am very happy with my decision for now, as I have just moved in a new apartment provided by them. My contract will end in may 2018, will keep you posted with my complete experience .

- Moved in and they said wash machine is not working and will be fixed shortly, it was never fixed after many months. - Be careful with extensions, if they notice you want to extend your stay, they will take advantage of current situation of flat search difficulty and increase price drastically. - Deposits are not being returned. - Very unprofessional, asked for screenshot of all my bank transactions when the missing amount was error in their own system

From the first inquiry, through the whole year of me living in one of the apartments they manage, to the check out process everything was perfect. The prices are fair and their service is very good. Apartments literally have everything you need and if there is something wrong in the flat, they will react quickly. They also speak very good English. I highly recommend InBerlinHomes.

I stayed in their 1BR apartment for about 10 months. My experience from the time I checked in until my deposit was returned was overall amazing. They're quite responsive and best of all there was no communication gap as whoever I was connected with speaks English. Daria, Julia, Irina and Algis were amazing, thank you! I'm heading straight to them if I'm in need of another place.

I lived in their apartments for 2 years during my time in Berlin. It was so wonderful, they speak english and they always put good care for us. All the problems we reported to them were attended immediately. I have recommended them to my boss who will come over for a loooong holiday to Berlin. I'm surely going to use them again should we come back in a few years..

The service is very good since you can do everything online (and in English) and the staff is very helpful. The apartments are fully furnished and all utilities are included. The prices are a bit high compared to a regular flat, but all the overhead of paperwork, utilities and furniture make up for it.

To say the least inberlin homes was very generous in offering us a 2-room apartment in the best of locations at a fairly good price. The entire team has been quite supportive and must say very responsive to our needs. I highly recommend them for long term stay! I wish them good luck for the future.

I stayed one of their apartments for several months and really enjoyed my stay. It was the same as the pictures and simply well maintained. The staffs always answered to my inquiries fast and properly and were helpful until they return my deposit. Would love to use the service again.

I received my apartment in a beautiful building that located in a very cool area in wedding. the apartment was in a perfect condition. afterwords i had a few issues with my registration and they helped me with everything. very kind people and amazing apartments.. highly recommended

Me and my husband stayed in their apartments for more than 9 months and really enjoyed our stay . It was fully furnished as shown in picture and well maintained. The staffs prompt to any queries and helpful via email or phone. The process is really smooth and we recommend them.

Everything was OK with my booking with this company. Whole deposit was returned, apartment was just like in the photos. They speak perfect English, so communication was never a problem. If you are looking for short term rent I can honestly recommend them.
