Used the online booking system on their website and was provided with a price quote. Booked multiple journeys with them over our long weekend in Dublin. The first journey, an airport transfer, we arrived and were told to go to zone 18. Waited for 20mins and it was clear that they just booked us the equivalent of an uber. Got in an awful taxi and noticed the meter was wrongly on level 2, fraud. The driver tailgated a car out of the carpark to avoid parking charges, the middle seat belt was faulty and he fraudulently added a charge of 5 EUR because we had 4 passengers. The journey ended up costing 100% more than what VIP Taxis quoted us. When we called them about the other journeys I was informed that their online system quotes were completely wrong and they would never guarantee a price. This company is just a glorified middle man between the passenger and FREENOW. Please don't use them, just book direct with FREENOW or uber. VIP Taxis left us high and dry and we had to cancel all our journeys that weekend and find alternatives. They rope you in with a 'quoted price' and then put you in a metered taxi with an extra charge that goes in their pockets. The guy on the phone was a complete Muppet and made no sense whatsoever. It was clear they knew what they were doing and there was no surprise in his voice when I mentioned the online booking system prices

We were overseas visitors on a group tour of Ireland and it ended at Heuston Station. The tour guide pre-ordered a taxi to take us from there to Connolly Station, he left us to wait for the taxi on one side of the Station and took off. We waited for almost an hour in the night but the taxi was nowhere to be seen. It turned out that the tour guide directed us to wait at a location different from where the taxi was waiting for us on a different side of the Station. The taxi driver could have driven off after waiting in vain but he took the trouble of searching the station inside and outside and eventually located us to our great relief. By the time he found us it was almost an hour after the scheduled pick-up time. We cannot thank the driver Ian Sweeney enough for his decision not to leave the station without us and taking the initiative to search for us. VIP Taxi is lucky to have Ian on its team.

Would leave zero Stars if possible. Pre booked early in the week for a 6 seater at 6:45pm on a Saturday evening. Rang to confirm at 5pm and was told that all the 6 seaters would be busy so we’d have to send 2 cars instead at an extra cost obviously. So obviously pre booking is a waste of time with this company. 7 o clock came and still no sign of either taxi, one driver could not find our place even though an eircode was provide we had to walk him through it on the phone which was difficult enough as there was a clear language barrier, sit into the taxi and the driver then asked us for direction to the venue, had no maps of any kind in his car and literally had to be directed at ever junction, what lane to be what turns to take the whole way in. So not only did our original booking of a 6 seater get cancelled our two taxis were 20 minutes late for the pick up time.

Needed a taxi for a very early flight on the 27th june, after trying 40mins on the phone with 3 other companies the night before ,I found VIP taxis number who answered straight away, they were really busy however ,they suggested a different time (which was only 15mins earlier than I needed at 2.45am) . driver showed up on time,I could track him beforehand.car clean, friendly driver, good service. I live only 15mins from airport but in this short time I was impressed, and thank you for not saying nope it's too early, nope we're too busy,the guy on the phone worked with me ,he explained that if I could go 15mins earlier it would give them a window, he tried,he helped,he organised. So for that I'm really grateful and I will definitely use them again . Well Done

This was my first time using VIP taxis and it won't be the last there service is second to none. I had pre booked my taxi and on the day I was nervous as I was heading to an interview. So I called in an hour before my taxi was scheduled just to check in that there would be no delays. The guy I spoke to on the phone went above and beyond his job to make sure a taxi would arrive earlier and Raymond the driver did just that. Raymond was the sweetest man and having the chats with him just made my day. I walked into the interview and it was fabulous and I am so appreciative of both the guy I spoke to on the phone and Raymond for really creating an outstanding experience. Thank you both so much!!

I ordered a taxi at 7pm on 28/12/22 for 3am 29/12/22 to go to the airport, stressed on the call that we needed an XL taxi due to luggage, was told this wasn’t an issue and to call back before 3am to make sure the XL was being sent. I called at 2.30am and the same male receptionist answered the phone and said he never made a note that we needed an XL and was extremely rude. Obviously this caused stressed trying to make it to the airport on time for our flight. Luckily LYNX TAXI came to the rescue. Wouldn’t recommend VIP taxis, and would suggest training for the rude male receptionist!

Ordered taxi online two days before journey. It was confirmed and accepted on that date. On the day we waited for taxi, just to get a text 5 minutes before to say it had been cancelled! Left us stranded and extremely upset. When called they simply said they didn’t have a car in the area, even after I quoted the confirmation and spoke to them earlier that day. AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT TO YOUR DESTINATION!!

I've used this service several times and have always been happy with the service. Needed a large taxi for an airport drop off and was told they couldn't guarantee car size, but would send 2 if they couldn't get a van ... They were able to send a van. Always on time and always very friendly and clean. Most recent trip with Cornelius as driver, spotless car and very friendly! Will definitely continue to use this service.

Booked this taxi in to pick me up from O’Connell street to the airport was told 5 minutes I waited 45 minutes in the freezing cold and kept ringing kept telling me lies even rang the driver and he said he he 2 mins never showed better option use the Hackney’s around Dublin very friendly and pretty much the same fare and guaranteed let me down this time VIP taxis and I thought you be a great firm but you lost a customer

Very disappointing. I found VIP taxis fantastic in the past, which is the only reason I returned. My recent experience was one of my two cars were very late and not the correct car. This meant a third even later car added on unexpectedly. I was with a delegation of people and then didn’t have sufficient people to accompany. VIP you made my day very difficult. Sadly I won’t be back.

They are like mindreaders. Punctual to a standard rarely seen in Ireland. Updates coming in all the time so you need not worry about them being there on time. Big car supplied wirhout my asking when I mentioned it was for a funeral. Drivers friendly and playing appropriate music without being asked. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Poor customer service. One time, I called them because my taxi hasn’t arrived and the man yelled at me and told me to wait and hung up the phone. Another time, I tried to change my pickup time via online chat and the answer was only “OK”. When I politely requested a confirmation, the answer was “THE TIME HAS CHANGED”. Taxi Driver Arafat reference 21872 called me at 15.57 hrs to inform me he was outside in Dublin Airport. I told him we were still on the aircraft and would endeavour to get out asap . We reached the designated area at16.30 but couldn’t find him . Eventually I tried calling him but he wouldn’t answer..So very frustrating and unprofessional .

I needed to leave for the airport a 4am. I liked that I could request the taxi online, almost immediately I got a call to confirm as well. The driver was kind and on time, even a little early which I appreciate as it can be stressing to think about missing a flight. Trust worthy, my friends use it and I will not hesitate in the future.

My husband booked a taxi on Monday evening at 5pm to bring him to airport on Tuesday Morning at 4:30 am. 10 mins before taxi was due to arrive they text to say they had no drivers available. Curious as to why a vip taxi driver (with no passengers nor baby seat on the car), that came to Tesco to buy a bottle of —likely- alcohol (we saw him coming, shopping, and leaving), parked in the family parking spot? A disgrace to families trying to get a spot. There were plenty free normal parking spots.

Horrendous service, call centre rep was extremely rude and unhelpful on the phone. Ordered a 7 seater for a trip to the airport in the morning which was confirmed and they then sent a normal size taxi which didn’t fit. This caused us to be late for our flight.
