Good food, ordered a pick up order. Was notifies it was ready for pick up. DROVE over to the restaurant, gave my order the boy (and I say boy due to his abhorrent behavior) then just said nothing and walked over to the receipts and stood there...for 3 minutes...saying NOTHING. His 'co-worker said that they don't have any food. It was 10 27 am and she was standing in front of enough food to serve all of Tampa. I said I was not going to leave without a refund, they said take it up w Uber eats. And that was the end of it. I went to the car to get Mt order number to see if that helped. When I went to the car I NOW GET A NOTICE THAT THEY ARE SOLD OUT OF FOOD. Mind you this is 10 30 AM and the store JUST opened. This would have been fine is I received this PRIOR TO DRIVING TO THE RESTAURANT. This notice ONLY gives 10 minutes before and I still had 9:43 remaining. WHICH MEANT THE TIMER WAS STARTED AFTER I HAD COME INTO THE RESTAURANT FOR FOOD. Vale waited till.i drove up to the restaurant, went inside to pick up order, and NOW they were telling me that they were out of food, JUST as they opened. Now they boy said he was going to kick me out, aggressively. Then the other said they would call they cops, (across the street) I told them I would gladly wait for the police. Manager came out and spoke w me, told me they were both on their way out and that they didn't do much anyway. He did offere to make 1 of the bowls for me as compensation. I declined and told him that he had lost my business. Also he said he recognized my name as I order from there (avg 1-2 a week) Not only will I never return but I truly hope this review causes other to PAUSE before choosing this place Been eating here since I live @ 915 4 years ago. I don't even know where to begin me and my sister and my brother came to Vale to eat lunch I come here all the time never had a problem but on this particular day I decided to bring my brother and sister I told him about you have vegan food well upon arriving everyone was extremely nice on the line and where of what the food was except this one girl who acted very nonchalant which is not very friendly. Well I ordered my food everything was great well when it came to my sister and my brother their vegetarians so they ordered the teriyaki paow which is a vegan meal well this girl gave my brother and sister real teriyaki chicken I came to that counter and asked her was that real chicken she said no and laughed I paid it no attention at first and then when I returned to the counter I asked this black girl what is this real chicken she stated yes I was mortified my brother and sister had not eaten meat in 5 years how was I going to tell them that they had eaten meat. The girl went on to say oh it's no big deal they didn't eat that much the the lady did everything in her power to try to correct the situation the black girl is the one who tried to correct situation she even went over and got a lady from the acai bowl counter and she did everything she could for me as well I just want to give them two ladies a shout out to let them know I truly appreciate what they did but ask for the girl who thought it was funny just know anytime we see that you're in there we would not be coming in there to eat because being a vegan is extremely important to some people

I will NEVER eat here again, I was a regular customer that came in at least twice a week. Today when I came in you could tell something was going on because the wait was way longer than normal, however that’s ok they seemed to be out of things and were waiting for them to be done to finish orders. Well when I got up to place my order they seemed to be out of almost everything, I started to order then when it got time for me to order my protein for my bowl I was told they were out of that meat and didn’t have any at the time, I was already 30 mins into my 1 hour lunch due to the initial wait so I had to eat something so I settled on a meat I truly didn’t want so as I’m adding my add ins because I wasn’t told o it will be just a few moments etc, then the customer DIRECTLY behind me asked for the same meat I was JUST told they were out of and they told her we’re out and she said well I want some of that specific meat so the manager said o here I have some, I was so upset and I said you just told me you didn’t have any and wouldn’t have any, do you know they didn’t even offer to remake my food or apologize for what they did. I work in a direct customer service position and I would NEVER treat a customer like that. They could’ve made it right and they chose not to. I didn’t make a fuss or anything I couldn’t believe it.

A couple of friends recommended this place to me knowing that I love fresh and healthy fast food options. Here are a few reasons I liked it: 1. Wide open floor plan. They can pack a lot of people in there and so it’s probably still a cool place to be when it’s very busy. 2. The options. There are SO many options! Normally, my husband has a hard time adjusting to a new healthy food place if I take him (he’s fairly picky) but even he smiled at some of the options available. Their drink options are plentiful as well. There is definitely something here for everyone. Also, it looks as though they have a smoothie bar, which wasn’t open, but sounds heavenly. 3. The food was really yummy. Even the rice had diverse flavor profiles without an excess of sodium and that is always a plus. The teriyaki chicken was juicy and not overpowering in flavor either. It was extremely well-balanced. Even though I only had three items and a scoop of guacamole, I ate til I was satisfied and didn’t feel too heavy nor was I let down in the flavor department at all! 4. They use cast-iron skillets to cook everything in! So basically, there’s your boost of iron right there. I was pleasantly surprised with this little tidbit.

I was particularly impressed by the freshness of the ingredients used in every dish. The flavors were exquisite, and it was evident that the chefs put a lot of thought into the combinations. The presentation of the dishes was also impeccable, making the dining experience not just a treat for the taste buds but also for the eyes. If you’re looking for a place that offers not only delectable food but also a wonderful atmosphere and top-notch service, this restaurant is an absolute gem. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. Bravo to the chefs and staff for creating such a gastronomic masterpiece!”

Go to the food truck down the street with similar options or even SoFresh you'll get more bang for your buck!! By far the worst restaurant experience. Mac and cheese is dry....Basically noodles with light sauce...Vegetables aren't even cooked properly...if i wanted fresh veggies i would get a salad...meatballs were the worst tasted old and its supposed to be their staple...Rice was bland......DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THE DRINKS!!!! NOT SWEET AT ALL BASICALLY COLORED WATER....place is beyond dirty....I used the bathroom and saw a roach crawling by the trash can.....I knew it was time to leave when I looked at the ceiling and saw a rat retreating....doesnt suprise me with the way the food tasted...bottom line dont waste your time or money there are better options downtown for fresher eats

Seen this place online and wanted to check it out. I order from Vale Food on 7/12 and order a build your own bowl and their green smoothie. Once I receive my food. They gave me a L green tea instead of my smoothie I order which was $11. I didn’t get that they told the uber person that they ran out of the green smoothie. Once I got my food. I looked in the bag and seen a piece of hair in the bag. I looked through my food I seen a black hair inside of my cauliflower and that got me more upset because they gave me something that I didn’t ask for and this definitely crossed a food safety line. I spent $24 dollars on something I didn’t even eat. I tried calling the store and it’s a number that is incorrect. I’m never ordering from this place again. Horrible experience

The location is great, the atmosphere is laid back and very modern, and the food is awesome too. I ate here for the first time about two weeks ago and the reason for the three stars is the lack of availability of certain ingredients. The day I went they were out of ancho chicken so my only option was to get the "chicken of the day" if I didn't want to pay extra for tuna/steak/shrimp etc. In addition, you pay extra for "boost" items such as feta, pesto, and guacamole. I opted for the spicy feta - clearly on the menu - but was met with a confused look, as if the girl had no idea that was even offered. The food is delicious but if I truly were to build my perfect bowl, it would cost nearly $20. When it says two bases, two proteins, and two veggies for $10, that covers the bare minimum.

Food was decent, smoothie was great but these employees absolutely sucked. Worst service ever, waited over 20 minutes for one smoothie and was literally the only person there. Employees trying to close the store early and getting everything ready for close (it was 2:30 and this place closes at 4pm). Most of the chairs were already on top of the tables, employees coming up right behind me to change trash bags as I was still sitting. Waited over 5 minutes before anyone came to the counter, everyone is obviously trying to close up early in the back. After waiting 20 minutes for the smoothie, the lady still seemed kind of rude when I said thank you. Way too expensive too. Probably not coming back.

Went here for lunch on Tuesday 6/4 and what a mistake it was. The employees were unfriendly and unprofessional I asked which direction do I go to start my order to make my bowl and one girl ignored me. Then finally I get one girl wearing the glasses make my bowl with an awful cold demeanor. She acted like she was doing me a favor when I had a few questions about veggie options. The food was okay not the best. Especially the sweet potatoes were hard and really not good. I would not come here again with such horrible customer service. Save your time and money go somewhere else. I highly recommend So Fresh just a block away I went there last week and their food was super fresh delicious and I got great customer service.

I had the wonderful experience of visiting Vale for the first time for a tampas downtown committee meeting. They hosted the meeting and they are the epitome of hosts and impeccable service! Dan variety of foods on a table for us to sample, Meats, chicken, vegetables, salads and everything I tasted was absolutely mouthwatering and wonderfully unique to the taste buds!!! Truly the most friendly staff a wonderful atmosphere of beautiful space and truly delicious food! A hidden treasure in my opinion! Not that it's hidden as it's right on the corner downtown however as to me it is new I think that it will be quite the popular hotspot to dine for any meal downtown!

One bite into our bowls and we both walked out and left immediately. The food was NOT fresh, felt mostly frozen. The vegan dish I got was colorless and flavorless. And we were shocked to see a "healthy" restaurant offering things like mac and cheese and fried tenders (?!). The menu offerings were unimpressive. Then there are the little annoyances. The electronic menu is far above your head so you have to bend your neck backward 90° as you're ordering. There were no forks in the lobby. Drink area was dirty. And one of the kiosks that supposedly sells smoothies and other items was completely shut down. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

Reminded me of bad school lunch food. Food was so dry, and bland. “Cilantro-lime brown rice” it was just brown rice, no seasoning, no lime, no cilantro. Broccoli was dry and not fresh, Mac and cheese was probably the worst I’ve ever had. Chicken was so greasy. Probably made worse by the attitude of the girl making my bowl. I told her I had never been there before, please guide me what I can get etc. she didn’t help me at all, when I asked what something was she looked too annoyed to answer. The food was just bad.

I’m so happy that Vale Food co has opened up blocks from my house. This location opened up a couple days ago and I tried it out for the first time today and they did not disappoint. The staff were very helpful and attentive and were able to explain the menu. It’s similar to Fresh Kitchen except you have more options and the food has more flavor. Not to mention the portion sizes and prices are unbeatable. They offer Poke bowls, acai bowls, and build your own hot bowls. I look forward to making this a regular place I go to get a healthy bite.

Wish I had read the most recent reviews before visiting here. The rice was hard and bland, the avocado was hard and inedible and the meal was lacking in flavor. I would give it zero stars if I could. They were out of a lot of doods so I chose the poke bowl but I should have just trusted my instinct and walked out. They were shutting everything down even though they didn't close for another two hours. A huge miss for me and not what it was like pre-pandemoc. Bye, bye $30!

Ordered uber eats and the food is not good, at all. Got a bowl with ancho chicken, kale and some other stuff. Chicken is so watery it made my bowl soggy and the portions (at least for takeout) are a joke. Sauce container is like .0125 oz which is not enough to cover a few bites. For 40 dollars, i expect more and better quality. Fresh kitchen is WAY better, more food, more options and the same price, if not cheaper. Will not be reordering.

Well, regardless of whatever small business and Ian narrative may be pertinent here, I would say that every restaurant should serve fresh food and throw stuff out if it’s not fresh. I, unfortunately, had the worst case of food poisoning (mushrooms the likely culprit) after eating here. The place smells funky and the staff, although some are well meaning, doesn’t look too bothered by providing service. First and last time, a few decent places downtown, I would avoid this one at all cost.

I ordered online for my company and when I went in the items on the online menu were completely different than the food they had in store. Vale changes there menu everyday and no one bothered to update the online ordering. I had to call each of the employees to ask them what they wanted specifically from the line. Food was great but all of our items were messed up and it was a cluster. Advice: go to vale because the food is awesome... just order it in person instead of online. :)

Placed an order through uber eats and with the b1g1 special for the byob regular and small, the employees found it fit to not add all the toppings that were requested and stole some money. Will never order from this location again. Corporate should look into their local team and their conduct.

I bought two separate bowls with completely different foods and both had hair in it. One had a long brown hair and the other a black hair and I took it back and they offered to reserve…why would they offer to reserve me out of the same food that clearly has hair in it?! They were more worried about not being seen or heard by other customers as they were still serving the food. And not to mention completely unapologetic. Won’t be going here again. Check your food!

Really poor experience today. Ordered lunch for our office online & all of our offers were completely jacked up. All of our bowls were missing their bases. The poke bowls were not ready for pick up. One of the gentleman came & brought two of our bases with some complimentary cookies to make up for the inconvenience, but we then realized that the other two bowls were missing their bases as well. The food is good, but they need to work out some kinks.

This is my favorite establishment in tampa. Every time i come here the staff is super friendly and welcoming. The food is 10/10 and I come here multiple times a week. If you have never came here you are definitely missing out !!!!

While the food is good they seem to be suffering from mismanagement. Twice we have had our large group ordered canceled with little notice, causing all kinds of mayhem as we try to feed 20 hungry people in our office. When we asked why all we heard was the the restaurant was understaffed. If that is the case do everyone a favor and remove yourself from online ordering / group ordering. Unfortunately will not be giving you any more business.

First time eating here in about 2 years (don't venture downtown as often now that I work remotely). Wow, visually this place has fallen off a cliff. Holes and scratches in the walls, dead plants, the couch in the lounge sitting area is falling apart. Unfortunately, food doesn't quite taste as good when you're looking at all of these things while trying to eat.

Good healthy food, wish counter line persons were a bit more communicative since as a first timer, I knew exactly what I wanted and ordered it all with first guy, not realizing he only places a couple of items in the bowl, then I had to move on. Skip it. Not worth it. This is what $15 bowl looks like - 3 overcooked shrimp($1.33 each as these are $4 upcharge), sweet potato noodles (glass noodles really), mushrooms, cilantro, shredded carrots (not fresh by any means, white in color lol), and sunflower seeds. Dressing on the side is the smallest container I have ever seen. Quality and quantity not close to $15 meal. Easy pass.

I had to write a review as I was eating this and I normally do not do reviews on places but this is so delicious and the variety of everything and how all the different flavors really mesh well together really surprised me. Must check it out! Only reason I gave it a four was because the girl gave me skimpy portions and it was cold but other then that very impressive flavors

Went there for a poke bowl and it was not great at all. They don’t have many options not even the basics for a poke bowl (shrimp, sauces …) and it was real expensive ($16). The rice was cold and the bowl just didn’t have any flavors. If you are used to eating real poke bowls, I do not recommend this location at all.

I tried Vale several times and it was consistently good. They seem to change their meat offerings periodically which to me is good for variety. The food is fresh and the portion sizes are large and the atmosphere is lively and full of energy. The bottom line, I like their conept of building your meal (1 or 2 bases, meats, vegetable and a boost) and price is reasonable.

I love the açaí bowls here but not the price! The extra toppings prices should be different for each size bowl. I get less product in a small but pay the same as a super. That’s my only complain really.

went there the other day, and the place was ok, but the staff was appalling. There was one worker, I believe his name was walter, he was extremely off-putting and didn’t seem to know anything about customer service. The food gave me an allergic reaction (Walter should have asked honestly) and the whole experience was negative. Will not be returning!

This place is amazing. I crave it ALL of the time. I wish they had open hours on the weekends but I understand with the location being downtown. There is not a lot going on in downtown on the weekends. Over all, food is very tasty and served hot and fresh. The people that work there are friendly so no complaints in that department either.

I don't understand the purpose of this place being open. I've visited 4 times the past month and twice the hot food was either shut off or removed before 4pm. The food is not bad when available though portions could be better. I don't understand why it's still open if there no food to purchase.

Very nice, tasty and colorful food. Nice health-conscious alternative to the "Big Corporates". Nice setting, too. The staff was very friendly, helpful and eager to show, sample, and explain the various options. Very nice first experience there! Definitely recommend. The "BOWLS" are great!

Wow! Incredible place. The food was fresh and so tasty. The service was great. They have items for every palate and dietary preference. The items rotate every day, so it is never the same meal twice. The prices are very reasonable. I will definitely come back again soon.

I had to quit because I was S.H I was S.H by the manager Phil and employee Walter Nothing was done, corporate and the owner got involved, they promised me a list of things, 1 month later, nothing has happened and they simply do not care. THE FOOD ISNT FRESH DONT EAT HERE

They have a great variety of food for their bowls. All of their items are tasty and have the right amount of spiciness. I really like their green tea. I wish their prices were at little cheaper. A regular-sized bowl and green tea will set you back $15 with tax.

Trash! 2 days in a row closed early. This time I went inside and even though it was 30 minutes left till 4pm amd full stock of food. Was refused to sell food because they had to put it away. So does that mean food is not fresh here??? Please avoid this place.

You really can’t go wrong with anything you get! The food is amazing. I get lunch here at least two times a week!

Both chicken types I got were blah. Mac and cheese and mushrooms were blah too. Not worth the $12 I spent. Staff was very slow and unorganized too. FreshKitchen is so much better. If there was a FK downtown this place would be out of business quickly.

Healthy doesn’t mean bland, and that’s all I got from my lunch. With all the delicious smells, I was surprised each individual item lacked flavor. The staff was nice though.

The food is good, but the sweet potatoes are consistently raw and completely undercooked. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants (especially for gluten intolerance), but the food quality is definitely not as good as it was 6 months ago.

Great tasting food...when they have your choice. Their bowls are a bit over priced for the size unless your are a female that doesn't eat much anyways. I'll pass for something with a bit more substance next time. Atmosphere was nice as well.

I loved all the flavor that my food had, but the amount of food for the price was horrible. I mean, I needed two of those bowls to feel full (and I had salad for my base). For $2.00 more I could have gotten almost double at Fresh Kitchen.

Nice to have a quick to grab and moderately healthy food option downtown. They don’t have WiFi which I was surprised about, so don’t try to come here and work. Best thing was the coconut cauliflower.
