Great park, for handball, paddleball, Racquetball, biking, jogging, stretching,.. Has men and women comfort station, filtered water fountain by men's bathroom. Has kiddie park on the south end of park, New kiddie water park coming soon facing B'way just before the pool. Easy transportation, #1 train and Bx 9 leaves you right in front pool area 242 st. Only con is, no free street parking, meters and garage. Only free parking is on Mosholu pkwy across from Catholic church 6pm down. And behind and around church. Incidentally, area near the paddle ball courts is being renovated.

Had a wonderful experience at Van Vortlandt Park with my family. Very friendly staff as well all the people all around here. It was the perfect weather Saturday to go outside and enjoy our time together. This park has tons of activities to do and a lot of restrooms throughout the park as well as tables too. The 1 train is in walking distance and bus services too.

Es un parque súper lindo , familiar , disfruto mucho ir más adentro por qué hay un paisaje precioso , hay lago donde encuentras animales , también hay una piscina con toboganes para poder disfrutar del agua , mini golf , canchas de Soccer , es una aventura muy bonita la recomiendo mucho .

The field are fine but. Sooner the carpet grass need to be replace order them that the are ok, you can find a Baseball field as well, two of them to be exact just go there and have some funds and oscuros everything is free.

Really nice place to come workout but it could really use an upgrade and some love. They posted plans to build new courts and a skate park but little has been done. The community needs this place to be better

The field is disguising so much trash and is very scratchy and hurts. But even though it is dirty I has a lot to offer. Like soccer/football field. A track, Skatepark so it is ok.

This is a great Bronx resource with a running track, football field, and baseball diamond. Unfortunately, it's clearly been neglected over the years and needs A LOT of work.

Great place for your track workouts. There are people here from early morning into the dark evening hours. You can put a bag down without too much worry in the daylight.

Park is kept clean and i love the full track, I've taken my nephews there and they love it, in the summer time they do actually turn on the sprinklers also

Came down here with my girlfriend. I wanted to show her a but of where I'm from. Alot has changed but the air is still yonkers. Absolutely proud of it.

Van Cortlandt Park the good place to go and sit down relax have a little barbecue with the family play a little ball enjoy the day nice and clean.

Plenty of seating, although the turf is kinda shitty… random holes and missing turf spots, just overall bad quality. Everything else is okay

Large park but I went for soccer and same day was a track tournament. What a nightmare for parking. I didn't see any bathroom in area....

Nice place for recreation. Weekends I would stay away. To many who leve trash and a very big mess. Weekdays are the best.

Pretty clean, track is in decent condition, turf is a little rough and old but fine, pleasant track to work out at.

calling this a stadium must be some sick joke. this is a super dilapidated track, with some crumbling bleachers.

Love this track and field, good for almost any level of work out and easy to get to, right off the 1 train

Fun place .... some of the best paddle ball players in the city .. on the weekends especially.

Good field, lots of soccer players to play pickup games. Great atmosphere for active play.
