It has been such a joy to live across the street from here. It's a great airport, always busy, and so much to do and great places to eat close by! Fun to fly out of, too. It's a very interesting place steeped in history, so take a look around. I love the sound of the airplanes and the railroad that runs through the airport. The sounds are actually pleasant to me, it's rarely been a problem for us. I loved the airshows that used to be held here until the wretched greedy homeowners ruined it for everybody. Hey if you dont like living near a busy airport and train tracks, then LEAVE!! Dont ruin it for the rest of us who actually enjoy being here - at least most of the time, lol! I do wish there was better security patroling the airport and the surrounding neighborhoods, because crime is a problem here. But I've walked around here late at night many times, down Woodley Ave and down Sherman Way, too, and I haven't had a serious problem, so it's not too bad. The Flyaway to LAX is just across the street on Woodley. Nice residential neighborhood with some really nice homes & apartments next to that. Hungry? Try eating at Beep's on Sherman Way & Woodley, De Frankos Subs on Woodley between Sherman Way and the Van Nuys Flyaway, or Jack in the Box or LuLu's, both of which are on Roscoe Blvd at Balboa. Or, for a real treat, eat at The 94th Aero Squadron on Stagg st just off Woodley. Tons of movies & tv shows have been filmed here if you're into that, and i even watched a famous band and a President fly to/from here. It's that cool!

This is funny. Apparently Google is like the NSA; Google knows more about us than we suspect. I wrote a review for an automotive paint store in Washington State. Google then suggested other places I might like to review, including Van Nuys Airport. I've not visited the airport or their website in decades, but have many fond memories riding my bike there as a child (circa 1950) to watch National Guard B-25s, Sabre Jets, and other airplanes that were still in normal service. We lived two long blocks from the airport and could either stand along a wire fence close to the runways or ride right into the hanger areas along Woodley and walk around the airplanes. No one cared and we never abused the privilege. So, yes Google, I'll rate the airport a solid 5 stars, solely based on memories of the past.

Visited for a private aircraft viewing and it was a great experience. parking is very easy. Once in the airport depending on what area you are vising or going to you might need to find a place to check in and get escorted inside. The area to view the aircraft on display was very nicely put together with lines to go inside, ropes to clarify where to head to and well organized. The staff was composed of WWII pilots who had been in the same aircraft as the one been displayed and they had great stories to tell. I very much enjoyed the event and seen the planes.

I didn't go to van nuys airport ..who were the impostors impersonating me possibly using a skin graft mask or others who were embodied to look like me ..what's their height..they all need a doze of their own medicines ..they are obsessed place them in a jail or ward for they are a pest in our society who kept on curtailing practices of civil asset forfeitures linking it in a crime so to indict , convict innocent famly for another crime and looking others

I visited for a private tour of the corporate jets and got to experience the whole experience of how they bring the jets into the hangar and maintain them. The crew for each company was extremely friendly and welcoming. To see a private jet upfront was amazing they are truly a work of art. I will definitely fly private with of of these companies.

Visited on a Sunday morning with my friend and her two year old son to watch the helicopters and planes land, takeoff, get fueled and repaired. Was a chill, fun time. Definitely recommend a visit if you’re interest in aviation is a fleeting curiosity or a full-on obsession

Great place. Full moon rising over the Condor Squadron. They are the 5 planes that fly over the SFV a lot. They have redone the runway on the West side of the airport. Now working on the East side. Update. We got to Meet the pilot of the Canadian race planes Exciting.

This typically private airport is home many historical events and is powered by the great staff that work there. I came to pilot a private plane one day, along with my commanding pilot and was very satisfied with my experience. Will definitely come again.

Been flying from VN airport about 6 years now I have used signature flight and not my favorite but C&C always professional, friendly and kind. It's easier and convient to me,don't need to deal with LAX unfriendly with private charter !! Lol

We charter jets all the time and LAX is not friendly to private jets at all as its expensive to land and take off from there. We flew in and out of Van Nuys and could not be happier. Great terminal for us to wait and easy to access

Can’t speak for any of the FBO operator terminals but in general the airport is a great one. I do aviation photography and we are lucky to have a few great spots around VNY to enjoy our hobby.

US Aviator's new location for flight instruction ✈️ is excellent. State of the art new facilities and as always, exceptional flight Instructors. At 7900 Balboa Blvd (Aka Van Nuys Prop Park).

Highly recommend the airport and the hotel next door! Supposedly scenes from old films like Casablanca were filming around there too! Very pretty court yard at the hotel outside too!

Love the Air traffic control tower! All the people who work for Van Nuys airport traffic control operations,FAA, Management, Police, you rock! Great job workings with the community.

What can you say about an airport? The airplanes took off and landed safely and I was waiting for a jet to land and the people over at the FBO were very friendly.

Me and my family had a blast with Tom and Peter! This is a definite must do in Los Angeles. Very friendly people and very kid friendly!!!

Took an hour air tour with some friends and had an awesome experience! I look forward to flying out that airport again.

We just stopped for refueling on way from Atlanta to Kona. Signature lounge was nice and comfortable.
