There is nothing that prepares you for the knock on the door that tells you your brother is dead. I contacted Vince @ Vancouver Crematorium and all I could manage to say is my brother died in Nanaimo and I need to bring him home… I need to see him! I gave Vince the bare details the RCMP gave me and his response was “I’ll take care of this” and Vince did! He walked me through everything I needed to do, and took care of the things that needed to be done that I didn’t need to personally do. My brother was a painter & Vince created the canvas for my brother to be remembered…. I know he personally set up the chapel for the viewing - there were so many personal touches about memories I had shared ….. I don’t know how I would have gotten through the first days & weeks without Vince’s guiding hand and compassionate ear. There is no amount of money that could ever be paid to say thank-you Vince - you honoured my brother and I a, forever grateful

Kaz, Andreas and the rest of the staff at Vancouver Memorial Services and Crematorium have been very helpful and patient especially during sad and emotional time when one's final duty to is to lay their loved ones to rest and decide what to do with their remains. Prompt replies to inquiries, clear and understandable costs, varied arrangement dates and no pressure sales made this day much easier. I also chose Vancouver Memorial Services and Crematorium as the location at Mountain View Cemetery has beautiful surroundings and views of Vancouver and the North Shore mountains, centrally located to other services such as florists, movers and legal services. Whether you choose a simple witness ceremony or an extravagant celebration of life, the staff and fees are reasonable and comparable to other funeral homes in the area.

Last year I met with a Funeral and Cemetery Advisor when beginning to make advance plans for my mother. This year I was contacted by that same Advisor and we began to discuss advance plans for myself. At present, when everyone is needing to be mindful of social distancing, we were able to conduct our meetings via WebEx. This proved to be a safe and efficient way in which we could meet, exchange information, and I could make decisions that best reflect my beliefs and wishes. My family and I are now able to have "peace of mind", knowing that many important decisions have been made and, at the last, there will be far less confusion and anguish as people are wondering how to proceed.... You have provided an understanding and caring environment in which I was able to consider these important matters. Thank you.

We called this funeral home to ask the service time for the funeral. The man who answered the phone is very rude. He said he couldn't tell us. We asked if the funeral is not held in their location. He just hang up the phone. It's weird. The sender who is in the USA ordered the flowers for the funeral for his friend. YOUR STAFF IS VERY RUDE. If the service is not hold in your location, you can just tell us. Why do you just hang up the phone We have funeral orders everyday, which deliver to funeral home and churches. We have never ever had this kind of situation before. Your company should change other staffs to answer the phone. We could give you 0 star if we can

with the recent passing of my grandma due to covid on Christmas Eve, we were forced to plan a funeral service and i can assure you Vancouver Memorial Service and Cremation did everything they could to ensure that we had nothing to worry about. We are able to find a day and time that worked for us and from there they took over. Barbara Leni our Funeral director was amazing, She was helpful and always willing to assist with our requests and was very accommodating. We all hate funerals but we need someone to assist us through our difficult time this team did that, thank you so much for helping us out so much. Ron Swamy

The customer service at Vancouver Memorial Services is nothing short of phenomenal. A dear friend of mine very suddenly lost her brother, and I went with her to Vancouver Memorial Services to pick up his ashes. The care Barb showed was so sincere and lovely. There was a slight miscommunication about the urn, and Barb took care of the issue in well less than 24 hours. I am so impressed. Thank you Barb, your genuine care for my friend and her family will not be forgotten.

Recently required their services for a loved one who passed away over Christmas. Regardless of the holidays and restrictions caused by COVID, Barbara was outstanding in helping me navigate the tasks and provided a caring, personal experience which made each step attainable with efficiency and compassion. Vancouver crematorium was recommended to me by a friend when my step father passed away in 2021. Cremation services were arranged by Vincent who was so kind and professional. When my mother died a few months later I didn’t hesitate to call Vincent again. It can be overwhelming when a loved one dies and the staff here were so good at providing clarity, compassion and caring.

If you are looking for a simple cremation this place is outrageously priced. 450 dollars for a cardboard casket . Affordable cremation charges 35. I had already paid them almost twelve hundred for some services and they wanted to charge me 4,000 dollars altogether i switched to affordable cremation they were faster and more understanding
