"Amazing Place!"
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Vardavar Lake during my trip to Yerevan, Armenia, and I must say it was a delightful experience. Located just outside the bustling city, this serene oasis provided a much-needed respite from the summer heat and a unique cultural encounter. First and foremost, the natural beauty of Vardavar Lake is truly captivating. Surrounded by lush greenery and framed by the majestic Mount Ararat in the distance, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. The calm waters of the lake create a tranquil atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. It's a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts, photographers, or anyone seeking a peaceful escape from the city. One of the highlights of Vardavar Lake is the vibrant cultural tradition associated with it. Every year, on the day of Vardavar, which falls during summer, locals and visitors gather here for a joyful water festival. It's a lively celebration where people playfully splash water at each other, creating an atmosphere of pure joy and merriment. Participating in this unique tradition was an unforgettable experience, and it allowed me to connect with the warm-hearted locals on a deeper level. The lake area itself is well-maintained and offers various amenities for visitors. There are picnic spots with shaded areas where you can relax and enjoy a packed lunch amidst the picturesque surroundings. The walking trails around the lake are perfect for a leisurely stroll, and benches are strategically placed for those who want to sit and immerse themselves in the tranquility of nature. Families with children will appreciate the playgrounds available, ensuring that everyone can enjoy their time at Vardavar Lake. I was also pleased to find that the lake is easily accessible. It's just a short drive or taxi ride from Yerevan city center, making it a convenient day trip for both locals and tourists. The parking facilities are ample, and the entrance fee is reasonable, considering the beauty and amenities offered. However, I must mention that during the peak summer season, the lake can get crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. If you prefer a quieter experience, I recommend visiting on weekdays or during the early morning hours. In conclusion, Vardavar Lake is a hidden gem in Yerevan, offering a refreshing escape from the city's hustle and bustle. With its stunning natural beauty, cultural significance, and well-maintained facilities, it's a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Armenia's capital. Whether you're seeking serenity, engaging in a unique festival, or simply enjoying a picnic with loved ones, Vardavar Lake will not disappoint.

SOS! Please, HELP to save the lake ecosystem! A lot of dead fish, the alive ones trying to breathe close to water top surface. Green water, rotten smell. Seems like Lyon Park staff uses not relevant practice to maintain lake's live, so it leads to death only.
