माझं आणि माझ्या कुटुंबाचं एक अत्यंत आनंदकर अनुभव होतं, मी दि. 7 डिसेंबर, 2023 रोजी जिजामाता उद्यान चा भ्रमण केलं. जिजामाता उद्यान एक अनेकजणांचं आकर्षक वन्यजंतू आणि प्राणिजंतू दर्शवतंय. मला पक्ष्यांचं, अफ्रिकन पॅरॉट्सचं, कचुवा, पक्षींचं रहस्यासंग बघणारं विचारलं, तसेच पेंग्विन्ससाठी विशेष इमारत, ज्याने अक्वॅरियम सारखी वाटतंय, हे दिलेलं अनुपम अनुभव. उद्यानातलं कैफेटेरिया अत्यंत छान आहे, ज्यामध्ये आंतरगृह आणि बाह्यिक आहे. किंवा संरक्षिततेचं वचन मानून, कोणत्याही एकचं वापर करणारं प्लास्टिक परवानगी नाही, वाचनारं असं किंवा टप्पणारं. टप्प्याचं किंवा स्टीलचं बनलेलं पाण्याचं बोतल, बेबी सिपर, निप्पल्स वापरू शकतात. छोट्या मुलांसाठी घराण्याचं अनुमती आहे आणि कोणत्याही परिस्थितीत नके अनुमती घेतल्यास ती वस्तूंचं किंवा बॅगचं सोडून दिलं जातं, ज्यामध्ये किंवा त्याचं शुल्क किंवा किंवा टिकीट बुकिंग काउंटर जवळ आहे. सगळ्याचं आनंद घेतलं होतं असं किंवा शांततेचं एक सारा आपल्याला आवाहन करणारं वातावरण आहे, असं सुचलंय. उद्यानातलं हजारो वर्षांचं जुनं वृक्षांचं दृश्य अत्यंत सुंदर वाटलं. संपूर्ण अनुभवात अनौपचार्य विचारून, खूप मस्त समय सापडलं. चार हिपोपोटेमसेस, मग कुंडली आणि वाघांचं साक्षात्कार करणं खूप चांगलं होतं. पेंग्विन्स, मग कुंडली आणि वाघ चांगलं दूरवाटून गजब अनुभव करू शकतो. जिजामाता उद्यान वैश्विक स्तराचं मानक धारित करतं आहे, आणि टिकिट खूप अर्थशास्त्रीय आहे, प्रत्येक व्यक्तीसाठी 50 रुपयांपासून सुरु होतं. माझ्याकडून २ कुटुंब टिकिट घेतलं, प्रत्येक 100 रुपयांपासून. वाढत्या मुलांसाठी 25 रुपयांचं वापर करायचं. सुधारित व्यावसायिकतेसाठी, ऑनलाइन टिकिट क्रय केल्यास, किओस्क मशीनमध्य ENGLISH I recently visited Jijamata Udyan Zoo on December 7, 2023, with friends and family, and the experience was truly delightful. The zoo boasts a diverse range of wildlife, and I had the opportunity to observe birds, African parrots, turtles, a bird aviary, crocodiles, tigers, macaws, and rhesus monkeys. The highlight was a special building for penguins, resembling an aquarium, providing an up-close view of these fascinating creatures. The zoo also excels in providing excellent amenities, including a great cafeteria with both indoor and outdoor seating options. What impressed me most was their commitment to sustainability – no single-use plastic is allowed, and water bottles made of Tupperware or steel, baby sippers, and nipples are permitted. For those with small kids, home food is allowed, ensuring a family-friendly environment. Any prohibited items can be conveniently deposited free of cost at the cloakroom beside the ticket booking counter. The seating arrangements and lawns throughout the zoo offer perfect spots for relaxation. The lush greenery, with many hundreds of years old trees, adds to the beauty of the surroundings. Encounters with four hippopotamuses, crocodiles, and tigers were particularly thrilling. The penguins, crocodiles, and tigers can be observed up close through glass, providing a unique and immersive experience. Jijamata Udyan Zoo maintains international-level standards, and what's remarkable is the affordability of tickets, starting as low as 50 INR per person. I opted for two family tickets at 100 INR each, covering two adults and two kids; additional child tickets were available for just 25 INR. For convenience, online ticket purchases require a printout by showing the QR code in kiosk machines beside the ticket counters. It's worth noting that the zoo is closed on Wednesdays. To avoid crowds, it's advisable to visit on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday. Fridays may see increased traffic, but if traveling by train, the station is within walking distance, adding to the overall accessibility of this fantastic zoo.

I love love love going back here, as someone who has been here since my childhood I loved seeing this place change I make it a point to visit atleast once a year it's really cool for me and anyone who enjoys spending some time watching animals and birds unwinding, having a walk among a bunch of trees this is the place! The recent introduction of new animals has been a new eye-catching feature of the place. The tigers, new enclosure for alligators where we can see them from two floors on the first floor we get a top view of them if they are in water or on the land. We can now also see what's up underwater because of the basement floor. It looks really amazing ✨. I would suggest going a little early at like 9:40-10 in the morning the animals are near the glass and aren't sleeping later in the day they sleep or go more to their hiding spots. There is a new cafe near the Penguins section now which is a little pricey (I wouldn't lie) but the previous one is also still present so that's that. Overall I enjoyed my trip. I would recommend going on Weekdays if possible, because on weekends and public holidays it can get a little crowded. Have fun on your visit to the zoo!

I recommend you go to this zoo; it's a great place to visit. I went there with my friend on the weekend, and the tickets weren't too expensive.One important thing to remember: don't bring plastic bags, bottles, or snacks like Lay's chips. They don't allow them because they want to keep the zoo clean, and the security will take them if you do. People sometimes litter, so it's a rule to keep things tidy.Once you're inside, you'll see a big map that helps you find your favorite animals. We saw lots of animals and birds, but our favorites were the penguins, bears, and hippos. They were amazing! Me and friends didn't carry food to eat we carried some fruits but inside the zoo there were place where you can buy food and it's was tasty ...In penguins side there were whole food shops and the large canteen which was pretty large ....The zoo is well taken care of, with beautiful gardens and paths, making it a peaceful place to enjoy. In a nutshell, our zoo visit was both fun and relaxing each and every path you will find water to drink I recommend it if you want a nice day out in a well-kept and peaceful place.

Great place to visit with kids!! You can see many different animals like Tiger, elephant, leopard, hyena etc and also variety of different birds. Unfortunately Lion and one other animal were yet to come when we visited. Penguins are something you don't get to see everyday, so that might exite you. Apart from that there are water drinking stations and toilets made all over the zoo. A small garden is present with swings and slides for kids to play. Entry fee - Adults : 50/head, kids: 25/head (this might vary, also there are options for family passes, and also charges for camera) You can book ahead your passes using their website https://themumbaizoo-ticket.mcgm.gov.in/ Precautions : 1. Do not take use and throw bottles with you, they'll be discarded at the entry of the zoo. Rather take metal or reusable bottles. 2. No food is outside allowed, so make sure you don't have any, or eat it outside. (There are food courts inside so no worries if you're not allowed to take your food in.) 3. Try to maintain the sanity of the place. 4. The Zoo is closed on WEDNESDAYs.

While the collection isn't extensive, the zoo boasts some impressive species, including majestic big cats, exotic birds, and playful primates. The highlight was undoubtedly the well-crafted aquarium, where I marveled at the underwater world. Informative signs scattered throughout the zoo provided interesting insights into each animal's behavior and conservation status. The staff appeared knowledgeable and friendly, ready to answer questions and engage in conversation. However, the overall infrastructure could use some updates, and certain enclosures seemed a bit cramped. Nonetheless, Byculla Zoo offers an enjoyable outing for families and animal enthusiasts alike. It's a commendable effort towards conservation and education in a peaceful and natural setting.

The zoo is walking distance from the Byculla Station. The best way to reach there is to get out from platform number 4. Avoid going on weekends as I went on Saturday afternoon and it was crowded. It would be better to go on weekdays. The zoo entry fees are 50 for adults and 25 for kids, you can get the tickets at counters by cash and a separate online counter is available for UPI payments. The zoo has water filters and toilets at regular distance. It has a small cafe for snacks and it's pretty affordable and there is a food court which has more options. The best part of the zoo is the penguins.

My inner desire to see penguins took me to Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Park and Zoo and it was indeed a wonderful experience. There is a glass partition between us and the animals. So sometimes we can see them very closely. I visited in Jan month and there were animals like sloth bears, tigers, elephants, penguins, several bird species, and many more... They have a cafeteria as well. You can enjoy your snacks at very affordable prices. Overall it's a good experience for you and your kids. Do visit if you are an animal lover.

The only zoo in Mumbai, the elephant was alone for some reason, maybe they didn't have a pair for it. The Aqua birds enclosure was definitely my favourite, the entrance to that enclosure, the large birds inside it, best enclosure for sure. The jungle wooden bridge is also a really soothing, silent and scenic place to spend some time on while you are exploring the zoo. Nice place for kids to be on school trips, as is evident from the school crowds that arrive on weekends.

The Zoo is maintained at international level, I have visited on Saturday with my wife and baby. It was decently crowded. The only problem is there were no sufficient animal to see. Most of the cages are empty. The cafe also was one of the attraction, the food were decently priced. FYI: A 250ml water will cost you 40rs. Hence, if you want you can carry a metel water bottle as plastic ones are not allowed. The maintenance deserves 5 star.

The place is wonderful and lovely so far as garden is concerned. We may not call it zoo as numbers of animals and birds are very less. Some animals like loin, hyenas are not there. There should be more animals in the zoo but there might some limitations for increasing the numbers of animals in the zoo. But you can enjoy the place for 3-4 hours with children. Don't go on Sundays and holidays there would be much crowd. There are two canteens inside the park and the food is costly. Prefer to book tickets online as it may reduce your time to get entry.

It is the only Zoo in Mumbai. Definitely a place where you can take your kids. The best attraction are the Penguins. But, the Zoo is yet to get several animals. It was the biggest let down. Also the zoo is very crowded during weekends. Parking is available at the zoo. Food is also available. The best time to visit is on weekdays or early morning on weekends.

Best part - Tiger and Penguin. Tiger was just amazing. Many other animals also there. Besides, Zoo very clean and neatly maintained. Good place to visit with kids For best experience, visit on weekdays and not in holidays. There was too much crowd since we visited on Christmas holiday.
