review date: wednesday december 18, 2019 customer since: 2010 vida la pita, over the years, has worked hard to provide quality middle east food at a fair price. if i am not mistaken, they have been in motion since 2003. hope these folks stick around for many years to come. only drawback imo is that they don't accept phone orders. you have to use one of the online food apps, otherwise you gotta make your way to the store. my personal favorite is the chicken and rice with tahini hot and garlic sauces, with a side of crispy chips, pickles and onions. you get a good portion that clocks in at at little over $10. their proprietary sauces really make a difference when adding to your rice/wrap. honorable mention for the wraps, currently run just under $7, a variety of choices and a good amount given. big shout out to the night shift guys, they manage to keep the line moving well when it's really busy.

Come here for 11$ and enjoy fresh wonderful food and great portions .The lamb shank is fantastic everything else I have tried is very good The area is not the best I was not very familiar with the cuisine on offer but the gentlemen behind the counter are super friendly and helpful

Hadn't been to Vida La Pita for probably 8 years. Went last night and it was amazing. Grabbed the chicken wrap/kebap. Full of meat and fresh veggies. Everything was delicious and packed with so much flavor. Great prices, just $7 for this huge kebap, and good service. Place was packed so you know its good. Free parking out front and a huge menu, lots of options. Shout out to Hazem who made my kebap. Buddy is a master chef with the chicken wraps!!!! Absolute legend. I'll definitely be hitting Vida La Pita regularly from now on. The best shawarma/kebap/wraps in Hamilton by far!! Thanks Hazem - you're a beauty!!!! 10/10 definitely recommend - you won't be disappointed!

Stomach felt like I ate Concrete! Disgusting Food. I had the Falafel, And my Partner had the chicken shawarma.. Omg so nasty. The Falafel was definitely out of a box mix.. Tasted like Cardboard mixed with Chemicals.. I don't Know what they are thinking. My Partner's Shawarma was falling apart within the first few bites, Sauces just dripping like a soup.. 20$? Never again! I should of Known after taking one step inside this place the food was going to be Low Low Quality. The Decor is like 1970's with heavy grime and mold visible to the eye.

I've had their gyros before and they were good, but this time I ordered a chicken rice shawarma and it was SO bad. They used the wrong rice, the chicken was watery, they added some sort of soup broth, and gave me a giant boiled potato in the middle. I barely was able to eat a few bites before just throwing it out. And it was almost $20! I'm sticking to Neighbour Shawarma from now on. Their shawarma is light years better, and even cheaper to boot. Don't get your shawarma from Vida La Pita.

Very disappointed. I’ve come here every time I’m in Hamilton. Tonight I threw out the food I ordered. The young guy working added toppings as he asked if I wanted them (I didn’t want some), and the other person (that checked me out, and wrapped my shawarma), was hacking and coughing into the hand he touched the wrapper with. He did wash before wrapping the actual shawarma. Either way, very disappointed. Waste of $11, but it’s been good in the past.

Best shawarma in Hamilton so far compared to lazeez, osmows, other random places I have tried so far. Update 2021 : Still the best tasting Shawarma. In my opinion the OG in Hamilton. Not just that but Vida La Pita puts GENEROUS amount of chicken. Yes good chunks of it !!! In nearly all their items. Whether the Chicken shawarma wrap or the big huge lamb shank piece or the chicken shawarma poutine. From my other reviews of other restaurants you can see which restaurants get stingy and skimp off on the most important ingredient. Vida la pita does NOT.

I just came from their shop after getting 2 chicken wraps (one without tomatoes). As a regular practise they have a tendancy to mess up your order. Again this time they gave me sombody's order, which can be seen on the picture. This means that the guy behind got his ordered messed up too, because I got his order (Kabob wrap with cheese, vegetables and only hot sauce). This is my last time to the shop. They do not have system to track orders. I am very disappointed on this continuous wrong orders and terrible inconsistance customer service.

Well, it was edible. And for an after the bar kinda place, while you can barely see or stand without being wobbly, it does the trick. Sorta. Maybe should have gotten the chicken instead. The grape leaves were decent, as was the rice. But next time, McDonald's! Service was mmmm not bad for the rush. It was packed with post bar-night drunk folk, and they can be a handful to say the least. How this place is in the day during prime hours I can't say, hopefully it's much better. But as far our own experience of it, that's how it went.

Was just there for lunch today. Ordering was difficult as it’s hard to communicate by talking through a mask over a 6 foot barrier they added to the counter. The girl forgot to make my shawarma pita. She gave me spoiled salad (see pic) and the entire meal was disgusting. The chicken was burned and they gave me the wrong rice. To top it off they didn’t give me a fork and I had to run around to get one only to try this meal. Is this the kind of food you guys eat at home? If not don’t have the nerve to sell it to others! Disgusting!

I used to come here a few years ago and it wasn’t bad late night food. However this time when I went I found the shawarma to be nasty and disgusting, the chicken smelled like dirty socks, and tasted sour. I’m not joking, seriously I took the first bite and I couldn’t figure out if there was a smell outside or if it was the shawarma. Unflavourful smelly shawarma. If I could give 0 stars I would. Threw the shawarma out. Stay away!

Really good falafel and sauces, but the size to price ratio is a bit off (get charged extra for sauces but the wraps are not big) and the people who work there are screaming at each other nonstop, so be prepared for that lol. I was excited to try this place out but I was very disappointed. The food quality was subpar and without taste. Their garlic sauce had a lot of mayonnaise mixed in. Their chicken for the chicken fries was full of fat and skin. Would not recommend or visit again. The only positive thing was the worker was very informative and friendly.

I never write reviews but this food was absolutely disgusting I ended up throwing out the whole thing. the gyro was a sheet cut up and barely even cooked the rice was dry and nasty and the souvlaki chicken was literally taken from a thing of water and it tasted absolutely horrific looking at it made me sick let alone the nasty taste. They used to be great back in 2018,19. I have recently noticed that they use chicken skin instead of chicken when they're short or out of it. That's such a cheap thing to do. If I have enough time, I would probably sue them, lol. DONT VISIT, BAD FOOD, BAD EXPERIENCE!

I ordered the chicken plate which was $10. The guy who served me who was probably the owner made my dish in the top lid of the box so it looked full but was only the amount of half of the box.. biggest scam. He was also rude when I asked him questions.

Hamilton is filled with shawarma places but this one is hands down the best for a wrap. The pickles and turnip are always beyond fresh and always have that classic crunch. Bonus points for being under $8 before tax as well.

I used to love this place but have been unlucky the last few times. Last time I they forgot to put chicken in my shawarma. Today I got a scrawny shawarma and he didn't put a drop of the garlic sauce in it. Disappointed.
