Do not stay here if you are coming for a holiday for 2 or more days and don't bother trying to ask reception for help or anything except a bad attitude. The worst thing on our 4 day stay was the smell in our shower and toilet, we had our own ensuite, but when you open that door up you smell sewage, and it goes through your room and stinks, everytime you open the door it stinks. Then there were the smaller things, syringe packagings on the ground at the entrance to the rooms, bins were full in the bedroom and were never emptied, and the outside ones were over flowing, rubbish was flying around the car park all over the place, bedding was not stripped (if you stay for 3 days or more apparently your bedding is changed every 2 days) our room was not cleaned and never vacuumed, mini bar was not restocked, tea and coffee were not restocked, we had to find someone in reception to get more toilet paper because it had not been replenished the whole time we were there, same with milk. No staff are around after 12pm, 10pm on saturday and sunday. You can only speak to someone when the pub opens at 10am. The music in the pub is so loud until about 11.30pm and the rooms are above them, you can feel the bass when your laying on the bed, and if your trying to air out the room because of the sewage smell by keeping the window open a bit, you cannot hear the TV over the music down stairs. The door was off the hinges in the female public showers, so no privacy for when my partner got sick of the smell in our ensuite. No parking for occupants, we had to park out on the street on friday and saturday night because the parking was full from customers in the pub. Smoke butts everywhere, signs saying 'smoke in the designated area's' but there was not one ashtray around the entire building. The front door that stops random people on the street from coming into the hallway where the rooms are without a key pass, you had to use alot of force to push that door closed. Then there were the things the hotel couldn't control, like people driving into one entrance of the car park to the exit, and vice versa, driving really fast through, driving in and revving their engines at 2am in the morning, doing burnouts, we were outside in the car around 10.30pm packing the car up for the morning drive to the airport and some random guy was driving his 4WD back and forth through the car park as fast as he could nearly hitting my partner twice while she was at the trunk, the night before a random man was driving really slow past us at around 9.30pm in the carpark and went around the block, came back through again and slammed his foot down on the accelerator then came back around again driving fast, then slammed on his brakes infront of our car and yelled 'you right?' I said 'of course mate, we are fine'. Then he asked the question again and my partner said the same thing and laughed, he looked like he was about to get out of the car and demanded 'why you laughing?' We thought he was going to attack us or try and rob us so we quickly ran up the stairs to our rooms and the guy drove off. Also, the place does not do food. There is no bistro, no breakfast, lunch or tea. The only good thing about this place is the bed, very comfy, and the free wifi. Sometimes that's all you need. But not on a holiday with your partner or or kids.

Omg. Where do I start. You can't call yourself a hotel, call yourself a backpackers, or accommodation if you drink too much down stairs. This place needs a wake up call. The staff need a wake up call. I would never go back nor would I recommend to anyone. The cleaning lady, well on the last day it was obvious why our room was partially serviced on only 3 of the 4 nights we stayed(towels changed and 1 bin emptied), she was sitting down playing with her phone. She is also a crabby old lady who wouldn't smile if her life depended on it. The last day and night we were there, the room wasn't serviced at all. The underside of the doona on our bed had stains, could only assume from having no doona cover on it at all, where's the hygiene practices there. Not to mention there was no restocking of anything in the mini bar, milk, coffee, tea, clean coffee cups, toilet paper, soaps, nothing was restocked. When we asked the staff for more milk, we waited approx 10 minutes for them to find where the milk was, and then a few days later asked for more toilet paper, we were looked at like we had 2 heads. No one should have to go ask for more loo paper, it should just be restocked. Every staff member was rude, except the lovely lady who ended up finding the milk, and a lovely man on the phone who apologized sincerely to my partner in relation to the room not being serviced at all on the 3rd day. The skip bins outside were overflowing, not emptied at all while we were there, on the Sunday there was rubbish all over the car park, and if your a smoker, there is nowhere to sit, except the stairs leading to the rooms, but be careful you don't step on a syringe...no joke. And the walls are NOT soundproof... it was not enjoyable laying in bed, having no other option than to listen to 2 people having sex. Im not one to ever complain, or leave reviews for anywhere I go, but I felt this was one necessary. If your staying for 1 night, if you have no other option, then it would be fine, but I do not recommend this place at all, and if I had of read the reviews beforehand, we would have stayed somewhere else.

Stayed on the 7-07-2022 we where down visiting family and friends for the week. Had a lucky break getting a room at villawood hotel as they had a cancellation. They have great customer service made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond with all our needs. We loved the place and the locals where a classic very welcoming with open hearts. I would definitely recommend the hotel to my family and friends when they come to Sydney. Transport is close and convenient. Had two negative things to say about the hotel. #1 no bistro but they made sure they went out of there way to help us with choosing a good restaurant in the area thanks guys. #2 t There was a disturbance with a room next to us with a couple arguing. But the hotel staff where on the ball they where already dealing with the disturbance and I say they handled it pretty calm and quietly considering the circumstances. Like I said great staff and service is on point. You don't even get the same service at some 5 star hotels. Thank you to the staff of vilawood hotel see you guys on the next visit to Sydney.

Food - On the menus their is only one thing you can purchase for breakfast. no food in the bar, just beverages. However, you can walk 10-15m down the road their you have : KFC Aldi Fruit and Vege Shop and Chicken and Chip Shop .. Train Station - 15m walk away, and you can also see their is an AMF bowling club, Go Carts and Chipmunks Indoor Rockclimbing plus MCDs on the left hand side as you get off the train. Which would be good for kids. Overall Cleanliness of bedroom was inviting and comfortable. Staff very friendly and accommodating. If you were looking at staying, I recommend getting a room with a shower in it. (I think all rooms should have a shower and toilet) And purchasing some snacks before hand e.g. fruits crackers drinks etc. Thankyou for your services, wouldn't mind staying again. Cheers

I recently stayed at the Villawood Hotel and I have to say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I checked in, I was impressed by the level of hospitality provided by the staff. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The entertainment was top-notch and kept me entertained all night long. I was especially impressed by the variety of drinks available at the bar. Each one was expertly crafted and tasted amazing. I have stayed here before and can't recommend the place highly enough, I stayed here for business, the staff are very friendly and can't help you enough, as usual the rooms are spotlessly clean and the cleaner/cleaners do a fantastic job and deserve a pat on the back and are very friendly, I arrived and the cleaner had my room ready and even had the heater going so the room was nice and warm, last time I stayed I had a slightly smaller room that was very comfortable and only around $69 per night this time I've gone for a larger room it has a massive king size bed and the bathroom is huge, this room is only $89 per night and looks fantastic mini bar , tea, coffee large tv and all, I highly recommend anyone looking for affordable accommodation in the area to give this place a go, 10 out of 10.

Great place to lay your head, beds are comfortable and clean and dust free. Stayed for a few days and loved how my room was serviced on a daily basis. I would leave to go out for the day come back to the hotel room and it would have clean fresh towels and bed made coffee and tea stocked back up. Bathrooms are always clean and maintained on a daily basis. Loved there chicken wings spicy but irresistible. Staff where amazing and made sure we had everything we needed would stay here again with no hesitation. Would recommend to family and friends. Close to shops and transport. A cosy spot and newly renovated. Checked in for 3 nights. Greeted by friendly staff and were very helpful. Having to endure a long flight and last minute booking around 10pm, the staff really made it a pleasant experience by making things easy. It is refreshing to see that ALL staff across the pub and hotel were all very friendly, easy going and easy to chat with. I am checking out tomorrow and already planning an East Coast road trip with friends and will include this awesome spot on our itinerary. Love the vibes, whether it's day or night. Ok, such friendly staff on check in. I had the privilage of training a new lovely lady as I checked in, give her a 10 out of 10 as an L plater. And the guy training her was nothing but proffesional. I travel for work all the time and as far as I am concerned this hotel is a cheaper heaven. I mean that, it is heaven I can not fault this hotel. You get a Fridge, Air con, 40 plus inch tv. Shared bathrooms have a bath and are immaculately clean. An old circus girl like me loves a bath after months of showers only. If I could give this hotel 10 stars for it's price, I certainly would. The rooms are clean, cool and comfortable, this hotel delivers exactly what they advertise, and it was great experience. The staff from housekeeping to management were super friendly, helpful and overall just a great group of people to be around. There are some good shops and cafe's just down the road and it is close to the bus stops. WIFI was good enough to get some work done during my down time. I will be booking here again next time I come to NSW.

My stay extended for about 3 weeks while working and searching for a rental property in the area. The Villawood Hotel was a godsend with affordable rates, decent standards and totally amazing staff who would be on-par with many 4 or 5-star resorts. (I know, because I've worked in many!) The room I stayed in was clean, comfortable and well-serviced by the fantastic housekeeping team. I will definitely be back, even if just for a beer and to see the lovely staff again!

Should be advertised as a hostel not a hotel. I paid $109 for a queen room (shared bathroom) and I feel ripped off. I was staying with my toddler who found rusty nails inside the cupboard, there was no light fitting and what appeared to be blood on the light switch, coffee making facility but no milk just some barista oat milk that had clearly been left opened by a previous guest. Shower door didn’t lock in shared bathroom. If you a solo traveller looking for a hostel great but it’s not worth the money they are charging.

Hotel was generally OK, the rooms did not have a bathroom, and all of our sheets had blood stains? The shower in the men's was specifically badly designed the drain was elevated where the shower was and the water dripped down to the floor where there was no drainage, I didn't realise this at first so I had slipped and fell. I was okay but some things to keep in mind when staying here

It was a nice 1 week stay while I was looking for a home after coming from another state. My room was very spacious and clean with a huge bathroom. The quality of sleep was great. I just didn't like the fact they didn't provide breakfast or any other meal. If they do that in the future, I'd give them 5 stars. All in all, it's a very good place.

Was rudely told to leave just after check out, even though i explained i was there on assignment, on deadline and would only be 5-10 more minutes, working. Housekeeping became overly vigilant on protocol to the point of insult. Frustrated and embarrassed i had to cancel my file transfer and start over again at a local cafe. If you are after a more personal approach to customer service, don't stay at this hotel.

We have a medium-size truck and vans and trailers. Sometimes we can always find parking close by. There is parking at the facility. The rooms are comfortable and air-conditioned clean and tidy. The staff are friendly. We choose to stay here whenever we’re in Sydney and will continue to do so.

A typical Aussie style pub where gaming activities (Poker Machines, betting) seems to be the main focus.The place includes a TAB outlet as well. Oddly this place does not serve food, except I was told on weekends. The stewardesses wear rabit ear headbands ( not sure if this is everyday, or just because it was Melbourne Cup day). The staff were courteous.

The place is good, close to the main road and nice parking space for the cars, just that the One of the Securities in there is trying some hard to be the Boss of the place and its not nice..... think He's a Arab Guy or something,needs to know how to treat everyone with Respect .. Thanks

I booked a room here recently while I was in Sydney to see a relative in hospital. The staff here were by far the friendliest and most accomodating hoteliers I've ever stayed with, and did their utmost to make an otherwise difficult time manageable. Top value for price, I'll definitely be staying here again if ever I need to go to Sydney.

They offer no food services, I woke up with thousands of bed bug bites and found a family of cockroaches living in my bed the staff where incredibly rude throughout the entire trip 1/10 wouldn’t come back.

I however wasn’t happy with the bedsheets, they all appeared to have big blood stains, which made it look not so hygienic although they must have been washed. Shared bathroom was ok but shower ran over after a 5 minutes shower.

Saw a guy win $64k & then he tries to collect his winnings only to be told his NSW government online Licence, Photo ID and immunisation records are not sufficient enough to prove his identity.
