One of the most beautiful libraries in Europe) This library looks so great! It has amazing exhibits of the 15-17th centuries. You can observe the hall named after Pranciškus Smuglevičius which looks like a book museum and where unique book monuments are on display. Another wonderful thing is a wonderful collection of giant globes and star globes. Moreover, the UN repository was established here too. There are different comfortable halls for everyone. The library is ideal for scientific research, studying and reading. You feel serene and tranquillity here. Must visit

Yeah, the library has some solemnly beautiful reading rooms that are remotely reminiscent of the Hogwarts atmosphere. But on the whole, the library is unequipped and looks miserable. And there's a fee to get in. And it's super cold. Summary: okay for doing photos, not okay for using

Must schedule a tour in advance. Tour group minimum of four people. No entry otherwise unless you are a student with a library card. As of May 14, 2019, Joachim Lelewel Hall is closed for restoration.

I really like this library. It's big, they have a big collection of books in different languages. Especially I like the atmosphere: all the furniture, paintings, big windows, old observatory.
